From KTVA:
You may remember these two losers as the guys who made fun of recent cancer survivor Lyda Green, calling her a "cancer on the state" and a "bitch", while Palin openly laughed at their insensitive comments.
And obviously their class act continues today.
Update: A number of people have complained that this video will not play for them, so here is a link to the KTVA news site that has a short transcript and explanation of the controversy.
The video didn't work for me : ( Sarah Palin is the queen of the hate groups so I guess I know what they are saying anyhow without watching.
ReplyDeleteAs a middle-aged white male, I'm offended. I thought we shipped these ignorant DJs south already.
ReplyDeleteHell, Dan Fagan does it everyday and is too stupid to even realize it
ReplyDeleteThis is the second radio duo to do this. What is the problem with these guys?
ReplyDeleteWhy do they think it is okay? Time for some diversity training & a pink slip or two.
What can we do to stop this? Write to the manager of the station? Anyone have the info so that we can complain. Names of the guys, etc.
ReplyDeleteWhere are all the comments about racists today?
ReplyDeleteDo people only get outraged to the steaming point when non-Natives are on the receiving end.
Racism is racism whether it is directed towards Natives, blacks, Asians, Hispanics or ethnic Jews. It seems that there is racism and then there is racism. As far as I am concerned, it is all equally vile whether is is said on TV, on the radio or the street corner.
Helen Thomas gets the boot, and these guys continue to get paid.
ReplyDeleteGo figure!
Their actions are despictable as are the NON actions of Dennis Bookey. It's time we all raise hell until they are fired and not allowed on the airwaves again.
ReplyDeleteGryphen write fast, Sarah Palin is causing a stir with new facebook post. She is so good at Deceiving her fans. They kiss her feet, whatever she says they Believe!
ReplyDeleteOn Sarah's Facebook page...can only fans comment?
ReplyDeleteNo wonder the comments are so sweet. What, she can't stand hearing something other than worship?
Whether in Alaska or down here in the lower 48, if somebody says or does something cruel, disgusting, bigoted, insensitive, mean, rude, crude or just plain stupid you can bet money that that person or persons will be a part of the Palin crowd.
ReplyDeleteOkay, IMM, I give up. Who are these guys and what's the topic? Gimme just enough to have some subject to Google so I can find out what this post is about.
ReplyDeleteDial-up connections will not load this video and you assume your readers will know who this is.
Again, what are the names of the guys? We need to get emails off to the station and express how we feel. The same thing should be done to Dan Fagan! (And, to think there was a time, a long time ago, that I actually liked the guy!)
ReplyDeleteRandom comment alert (just warning yall): so about her supposed new boobs. I don't think anything has changed in the last couple months and, given the white loose shirt, theyre inevitably going to look huge (I seek out those shirts).
ReplyDeleteBut it got me thinking and this is none of my business but whatever. Most of this blog's contents are none of our business but where's the fun in that huh?
So, in the early 90s, Sarah had a breast biopsy that came back negative. Sarah's pretty much always had big knockers, no? We're talking C to maybe D. Her concealing blazers and usual tops don't help to determine this btw.
Post election, she rack got significantly smaller as she did as well. Dropping weight does usually drop breast size but that much? for someone who's normally pretty small with with nice breasts.
What if she at some point had a mastectemy then in the distant future had reconstructive surgery.
Again, I only bring this up because I've always felt it was unfair to be critical of someone's body when so many factors could affect it.
Also, I know Bristol went through major changes in 2007 but are they any different from the changes Willow has recently gone through at the same age (15/16)?
Teenagers change daily. People change yearly. Changing clothes and hair changes us as well.
Just a little commentary. I will say this: I commend Sarah for never failing to be true to herself and call it like she sees it.
I just tried to post on Palin's Facebook page. I'm on there as a Fan so thought I could post. When I clicked to post my comment, I got a message that said "Your account must be verified. Please verify by posting your cell phone number or your credit card number". Yeah, right, like I'd do either.
ReplyDeletemichaelmoore.com has a story up about a Palin/Morlock connection.

Anon 3:45 if she had masectomy, she could not breast feed as she stated she did with Tri-g. She'd be a liar liar pants afire.
ReplyDeleteYou can write to Dennis, of course, but I suspect that nothing will get him out of the rock he's under. Better to write to his advertisers and CC Dennis. Shame on any company that attaches its name to this group. I am tired of the Limbaugh-like racism that is being palmed off as humor. It's not funny. It's a huge step backward. Let the advertisers know.
ReplyDeleteSince we are speaking of boobs doesn't anyone remember during the campaign how big Bristols boobs were before she had the baby. Her boobs were up to her chin but no one said a word. That's why I always thought that Trig was her baby.
ReplyDeleteDennis Bookey only knows one thing, and that's the bottom line. That is why he won't can these two clowns, because it will hurt his station financially.
ReplyDeleteSo if that's the case, and Mr. Bookey refuses to do the right thing, then organize a boycott of the stations' advertisers.
This will require actually listening to the station, noting who the advertisers are, and then putting them on notice that they are part of the problem by sponsoring this garbage.
There is no room for this crap, and the fact that they were playing this spot, and other derogatory spots with blinking an eye proves just how shallow and fake these two clowns and their boss is.
Bookey didn't do the right thing until he was forced to.
That should tell you enough about the man right there.
BTW, Bookey is in negotiations right now, right this minute with Out North Theater regarding tower space for KONR's antenna and transmitter and frequency allocation.
You should be asking why KWMD, Alaska's only truly independent media outlet, had the plug pulled on it by one of its' founders.
Obviously pressuring Bookey isn't going to get a lot of mileage, so take it one step above and contact his corporate overlords at Morris, the owner of Anchorage Media Group and KWHL.
ReplyDeleteLet Mr. Osterhout know that you're pissed off and that you're not going to take it anymore.

Where is Miss Quitty-pants and why did she miss a chance to tweet and twitter and FaceBook about these two boobs who insulted her kids? Her kids do have native blood you know. Is she going to be consistant and call them out? Or is she going to be two-faced and let them slide because they are supporters of hers?

Anchorage Media Group
KBRJ-FM, KEAG-FM, KFQD-AM, KHAR-AM, KMXS-FM, KWHL-FM.
The Anchorage Media Group is made up of six radio stations that cover south central Alaska with a range of formats reaching listeners from young adults to those mature and enjoying the prime of their life.
Included in this cluster is the very first station to take the air in Alaska, 50,000-watt KFQD-AM. From its first broadcast in 1924, 750 KFQD has served the state with blocks of news, traffic and weather each morning and afternoon with popular national talk show hosts and great local talk in the mid-day.
KBEAR 104.1 or KBRJ-FM is Alaska's most listened-to country radio station with a full-service morning show featuring Jim Robbins and Matt Valley.
KOOL 97.3, KEAG-FM, is Anchorage's only station playing good times and great oldies. The veteran personalities who make up KOOL's lineup include Carrie Carrigan, Dave Stroh, and Ed Riley.
Alaska rocks with 106.5 K-Whale, KWHL-FM. K-Whale is the heritage rock station in Anchorage reaching out to the 18-to-44-year-old male with today's active rock music.
To take care of women who like adult contemporary music, Mix 103.1, KMXS-FM, plays the best mix of the 1980s, 1990s and today.
The only music on the Anchorage AM band is KHAR. Catering to an audience of 45 and older, this station plays nostalgic music from artists such as Frank Sinatra, Perry Como and some of the more recent easy listening artists. Mornings on KHAR start with long-time Alaska personality Dick Lobdell.
Morris Communications acquired the Anchorage Media group in 1998.
Destination Alaska, an annual travel guide to Alaska's Inside Passage, began publication in 1995 and has since become the top source of information for the region's 700,000 cruise ship passengers.
Distributed primarily hand-to-hand at embarkation ports, the digest-sized book and its Best Buys coupon insert give visitors a preview of their ports of call, plus attractive discount offers.
Destination Alaska covers the towns of Ketchikan, Sitka, Skagway, Juneau and Anchorage with information on tours, shopping, attractions, history, wildlife and Native culture. Many of its advertisers are Native artisans. Morris Communications acquired Destination Alaska/Best Buys in 2000 and is focused on maintaining its position as the premier visitor resource in the flourishing travel markets of Southeast Alaska.
Speaking of keeping it classy.... Have you seen the article floating around the proo-palin sites calling her "executive experience" "real and spectacular"? Seriously. Anyone who knows their Seinfeld can tell you that's a thinly veiled comments on her boobs. They even go so far as to incongruously mention the artifically enhanced pair at the horse race. And then in the next breath call fowl that that is what people are talking about!
ReplyDelete"Gov. Palin went to a horse race to bet on a horse named after her husband's nickname. The horse was the underdog and placed third. So, what did the sexist leftists report on? Gov. Palin's white tee shirt. Her hat. Reader commentary focused on the apparent size of a certain aspect of the female anatomy."
Sarah's not fooling anyone with either her fake executive experience nor her fake boobs (surgical or padded?).
Can someone please talk about what was actually said: I'm always very interested in the blogs but the videos NEVER show up on my safari. Can someone please summarise the offending statements and give context? Would much appreciate. Gryphen: can you do anything about this? If I use my office comp your site freezes everything (the only site that I have problems with) but on my iPhone, safari doesn't carry most vids. YouTube ones work though :). Thanks for the great job though much appreciated!
ReplyDeleteOh, come on. Bob and Mark always make fun of EVERYBODY.
ReplyDeleteAren't those two savvy Canadian guys still on the air? Isn't it time for them to prank a call from the Queen of England to Sarah? How can they not do a follow-up to their spectacular event involving Nicolas Sarkozy?
ReplyDeleteStill waiting and wishing in the mid-west. . .
