Elizabeth Warren demonstrates class under fire as Teabagger calls her "socialist whore" during campaign stop.

Courtesy of New York Daily News:

A Tea Party backer took aim at Warren, calling her a "socialist whore" because she has supported Occupy Wall Street protesters. Just as the Democrat was about to start her speech in Brockton, Mass., a man claiming to have been jobless since February 2010 stood up to express his outrage over Warren embracing the demonstrators.

When the crowd tried to shush him, Warren chimed in.

"No, no. It's all right," said Warren, who is trying to win the seat held for nearly 46 years by Democratic stalwart Ted Kennedy before Republican Scott Brown won in a shocking upset in 2010.

"Let me say two things. I'm very sorry that you've been out of work. I'm also very sorry that the recent jobs bill that would've brought 22,000 jobs to Massachusetts did not pass in the Senate," she said to an applauding audience.

She then began to speak about the demonstrators railing against big banks, insisting she has been protesting against Wall Street for a very long time when the man interrupted.

"Yeah, so has the Tea Party," he exclaimed. "…Well if you're the intellectual creator of that so-called party, you're a socialist whore. I don't want anything to do with you."

He then made a reference to Warren's "foreign-born" boss, presumably President Obama, before walking out.

Warren later told the Huffington Post that she "actually felt sorry for the guy."

"I really genuinely did. He's been out of work now for a year and a half. And bless his heart, I mean, he thought somehow it would help to come here and yell names."

Watching that clip really pissed me off, but I actually had to laugh watching the dipshit try to leave through a locked door and have to walk past the crowd that he had just embarrassed himself in front of in order to exit the room. Sometimes Karma arrives at the perfect moment.

But what I was most impressed with was how cool and in control Warren remained, including exhibiting the ability to calm the crowd, while this guy was being such an inexcusable asshole. Even going so far afterward to say that she felt badly for him, when MY first instinct was that he was a Koch brothers plant. Ms. Warren is far more forgiving than I.

It kind of feels like the Teabaggers, Sarah Palin included, are royally pissed off that the OWS protestors are stealing their thunder, and it seems that they are taking their anger out on President Obama, the protestors, and now Elizabeth Warren.

Which, since they are against all three, indicates to me that THEY are the ones who WE should all be supporting.

When are the Teabaggers gonna wake up the on the proverbial morning after they've been sodomized by the GOP lying next to them?

Note the comparison: Warren patiently listened to her detractor's rant and responded with respect and intelligence.

Meanwhile Eric Cantor cancelled his speech because he couldn't control who would be allowed into the room.

Palin won't even take questions and even when she did, they were all pre-vetted and scripted.

Who showed fear, cowardice and paranoia and psychosis? Who showed grace, courage, leadership and respect?

These qualities, even more than specific stances on issues, are what I look for in a leader. And it is so easy to spot them.

The fact that McCain/Palin showed NONE of those traits is why I couldn't vote for them. It never got as far as political views, the fact was Obama showed real leadership qualities and the opposition showed none at all. They just appeared to be faking it, pretending, playing "world leader" the way little kids play "doctor".

McCain's "handling" of the economic crisis, and every speech Palin's ever made (but most especially the "blood libel" video) were the most embarrassing play-acting I've ever witnessed.

What a great contrast Warren is, to the shrill-talking, hate-mongering shrews of the right wing (Palin, that blonde witch whose name I justifiably cannot recall at the moment, plus all the blonde bimbos of Fox channel.)

There is nothing that would make me happier than if this wonderful woman became the President when Obama finishes in 2016. Hillary and Elizabeth on the same ticket would be unstoppable.

Warren is one classy lay, as well as being the adult in MA right now. I can see why the GOP was so terrified to have her in charge of CPA....but, damn, she would have kicked butt!

As a Bay Stater, she'll have my vote. Looking forward to the label former in front of Senator Scott Brown.

Love me some Juanita Jean -

Teabaggers, you’re going to have to do a lot better than “socialist whore.” Hell, we’d put that on a tee-shirt and proudly wear it to town.

I feel for the guy. I used to live in a neighboring town, and have spent a lot of time in Brockton. It may be the City of Champions, hometown of both boxers Rocky Marciano and Marvelous Marvin Haggler, but the city faces a lot of challenges. There are a lot of troubled people who live there, including the white supremacist who carved a swastika in his forehead after killing his black neighbor. Lots of wonderful people too, but a higher than average concentration of teabagger fodder.

I am impressed by Warren's response and compassion.

One Woman who's smart and wise. Not only did she rise above what he said, she served it back with her pity and the truth.

Shame he's too stupid to realize what a fool she made of him and his ilk.

Liz is the epitome of Class.

She's destined for great things. We need more like her in public service.

So he is calling the Tea Part socialist whores? Great., then even members of their own ranks hate them. Progress.

Elizabeth Warren is wonderful. She has more guts than most members of Congress and definitely all the Presidential candidates in the GOP.
