It looks like Sarah Palin has inspired another fashion trend. In China. And it concerns fake pregnancies.

Courtesy of the Huffington Post:

Fake pregnancy bellies have become the latest hot-ticket item in the Chinese online market, according to a report by Ecns.cn.

The products are made of skin-colored silica gel, which give the bellies realistic texture and appearance. Retailing for between 500 and 1600 yuan ($79 to $252), the bellies are available several sizes depicting different stages of pregnancy, People Daily reports.

The most popular belly size replicates the five- to seven-month pregnancy stage, according to Ecns.

There is actually no proof that this new trend in China is connected to Klondike Kardashian, but HERS is perhaps the most famous faked pregnancy in the world. (Though in the article they do mention Beyonce's current pregnancy as also being fake.)

Personally I have confidence that all of the internet talk about Palin's faked pregnancy MUST have made its way to China. (I have seen hundreds of visits from Taiwan and China on my Feedjit over the last three years.)

Well one thing for sure, you certainly have to admit that this...

...is WAY more convincing than this.

And infinitely more convincing than this.

Sarah Palin March 26, 2008.
So perhaps when all is said and done Sarah Palin's contribution to the world will be to have inspired the creation of a better, and more convincing prosthesis to help women trick people into believing they are pregnant.

In China.

Way to go.

And just imagine, if Palin EVER wants to get back into politics she now has access to a MUCH more convincing pregnancy belly to help her earn attention, and get that pro-life credibility that made her such a hot property in 2008.

Okay perhaps you shouldn't imagine that.

I think the story is getting ready to break. Huffington has the story regarding: fake bellies on the front page and there is no moderation what so ever. I encourage everyone to go and comment as the more hits the longer the story stays up. I'm wondering if either NE or an investigative reporter is breaking the story within the upcoming week and this is the build up....

Hers is the most famous in the world? Yet half of Alaska still thinks she gave birth in 08. There's a deep Chasm between these statements. I don't think there are even 5000 people who follow Palin closely enough to know even more basic things about her. But that's just through my travel experience in all 50 states and a dozen countries.

And the fake belly would be the only contribution that Noodnick of the North has made to the "fashion" industry.

Besides "Valley Trash" tees, bedraggled synthetic hair hats and bogus eyeglasses, that is.

And Sarah Palin - is going to get a big lump of coal (exposure of her lie) from Santy Claws (the better-late-than-never msm).

Anon 6:31 said this shows it is not "strange" to want to look pregnant. Morals, principals or the ten commandments establish limits it is wrong to fake, lie, deceive others, even gaslight people. An exception would be a costume for play or portraying a character.

Faking pregnancy is low, sick behavior. There are serial killers. In your world murder must not be strange if others also do it.

If she has more fake kids then the Duggar family.. she can get a new reality show.. "Sarah plus 21"

Seriously, huh? Are you saying that Sarah just wanted to look pregnant? That's why she pretended to be pregnant? Seriously? This explains how she didn't show until April 13th how, exactly? And this explains how Trig miraculously appeared how? I think someone else might be dusted, but it isn't Jesse or us.

I sauntered over to HP (As a rule I don't go there often), but am I hallucinating that they are not moderating their fake belly story? Didn't they used to block anything written about Sarah's little fakery? What's up with AOL?

Big party last night maybe and all the moderators are still sleeping it off?

The most disturbing part of this hoax is how Sarah behaved after the ¨birth.¨ She appeared in public with infants and basked in all the attention and congratulations. She eagerly sought and demanded credit for a superwoman delivery that never occurred. And the most disturbing part of it all is how Sarah treated the infants like loaves of French bread.

  28. Granny-

I been warning you- you've got to get ahead of this story...or else the lamestream media will botch it.

Granny, you MUST call Barbara Walters today and tell her that you will make an appearance on her New Years Special. You will give a tear filled interview confessing that you faked the pregnancy with Trig.

You never cry in public, so this will be a new grifting opportunity for you.

    Let's review-

1- Dress tastefully, yes this will be a challenge, but I know you can do it. Try a light blue suit with a white blouse...and leave the "gel-filled" girls at home.

2- No notes on your hands - use the teleprompter or just speak from your heart... no er, I mean, speak from your gut.

3- Do not bring any shields, umm, I mean family members, on camera. Pets or dead animals might be OK.

4- Start from the beginning and tell the whole story... but this time make up something more believable.

5- This will be the first day of your new acting career. Tell every one that you are leaving politics forever. Now you can really concentrate on make-up and costumes!

  30. Anonymous10:39 AM

Now that the media has played out Sarah as much as they possibly could, they'll just jump at the Trig and prostitutuion ring stories and any others that can be dug up. Isn't that the usual cycle of decay, build them up just to watch the fall? The periodical FOX trots remind me of old-fashioned public displays of humiliation when the disgraced were forced to confront their peers and would come out bedraggled and snarling for the walk of shame. So far, Sarah's put on a good show since it's in her nature to fight and things continue to heat up as the suspense builds. This could get good and 2012 could be even better than 2011.

I'm assuming this was satire, but when Palin is involved, it's really hard to tell. SO I'll play along:

YOU think about it... what validity as a political figure/commentator/campaign tease can you have when you perpetrated a FRAUD on the American public during a presidential campaign?

Oh yeah, sign me up to follow THAT person! WHO was it who recently said: "character matters" again?

...Hmm, her name is right on the tip of my tongue...

But to be truly serious, if 6:31 is for real, then I'm very disturbed by what I'm reading. I'm confounded by this new trend of conservatives pointing to China as something we should be emulating.

China is a brutally repressive and corrupt communist system that uses capitalism as a means to keep it's leaders rich and well armed, not only against the rest of the world, but also it's own people.

Come to think of it... I can see why conservatives would like that kind fo arrangement...

So, you're down on China, right? Do you own a computer, TV, game console, or some really cheap clothing from WalMart?

All of that is made on the backs of child labor and cheap employ in China. It might be time to rethink consumerism in it's worst form if you have a problem with China.

China is the only thing propping this country up right now as the average American somehow feels compelled to purchase each and every gadget and cheap piece of clothing that WalMart can sell.

hmmm, wouldn't have thought of this myself, but interesting in the context of the Palin family and multiple pregnancies/witeouts:

    comment from HuffPo

I'm confused about what exactly your argument is.

Are you saying that what America really needs to do is adopt China's child labor/sweatshop approach? You think that's the key to a better America?

That's exactly what conservatives are pushing for. Their version of the American Dream is to own a third world sweatshop in the comfort of their own country.

I agree that America's consumer gluttony should be rethought, but I don't see any justification whatsoever for thinking China has anything to teach us about how to be a better nation.

That was my original point. Emulating China means we become a third world oppressive regime that thrives on slave labor. DO you really think our government needs an internet kill switch like China? Sweatshops and child labor?

I don't have a "problem with China", I have a problem with imbeciles who think we should be emulating them.

Holy Moly, that's going to be her cunning 'reintroduction' into MSM news cycles - faking a NEW pregnancy since Michelle Duggar miscarried what was to be their 20th child (my sympathies, as cynical as they are for her loss.)

Then Bristol will have a shotgun marriage and announce that she also too is pregnant and base a reality show on their dual pregnancies and show how close and happy and loving and American they are and how Trig is so excited to be a big brother and Uncle again and whatnot.

Willow will have 'discovered' these pregnancies and Piper will wobble in pageant heels calling her mother Sarah. Todd will have a look of incredulous disbelief that he's managed to knock up a wife he hasn't touched in 9 years.
