I seriously doubt it.
And there are some who argue that after all this time, in the words of Hillary Clinton, "What difference at this point does it make?"
And that is actually a good question.
Personally I think that we here at IM have done a pretty admirable job of proving, beyond what I think is a reasonable doubt, that Sarah did not give birth to Trig on April 18th, 2008.

I have just one more lead that I am chasing right now, and it is a humdinger. But to be honest it will still proof insufficient to convince those who simply refuse to entertain the possibility that ANYBODY, Sarah Palin included, would ever attempt to pull off such an audacious hoax.
And once again there are those who wonder does anybody really even care anymore?
So I put it to you my friends, do you think it is still worth the effort?
And if I do manage to gather a few last pieces to the puzzled which proves that she faked the pregnancy, what then?

Each time Trig is used for a photo prop, please remind us of the truth with references.

A pregancy happened can, possibly with a Palin DNA, but she DID NOT CARRY! She saw the opportunity to be a pro-life superwoman and exploited it to an extraordinary advantage. It remains u forgiveness, because even though the stunt did not end on Pennsylvania Avenue (the address as garbled as Paul Revere's story) she'll be in the money the rest of her life for no good reason.

Sarah Palin did not want a pregnant teen unwed daughter to soil her political aspirations. She hatched the Trig hoax with the help of Lowell 'Bud' Paxson, and Thomas Van Flein. That is why she used parts of their names for her adopted Trig. All of that and McCain still lost to a Great President. I keep thinking of how frustrating each of the women who had come forward in the past about Bill Cosby must have felt...but it just took one comment by the right person at the right time and his lies all came home to roost. It may not have ended Cosby's entire career, but the majority of Americans know his true heart and know not to believe his public face. People also need to see that Palin's public persona is nothing like her black heart - and the cracks continue to be exposed. To inversely paraphrase my favorite poet/singer Leonard Cohen...There is a crack in everything, that's how the black gets out.

I guess I should explain why I have had some doubts recently.
ReplyDeleteA while back I had a conversation with someone, who was a source in the past for some IM revelations, and they suggested that anything revealed going forward would be too late to make any difference.
There is also the fact that Joe died, others have given up the search, and Andrew has now closed down his blog all of which kind of makes me feel I a little abandoned.
I mean yes I have all of you, and you are great. But having other writers and journalists digging into it as well was nice.
Then yesterday I talked to my sister visiting from Maine, and the subject came up about Sarah Palin.
Her response was, "Are you still doing that?"
Honestly I kind of scrambled to come up with a good reason to explain why I was still doing it.
Then just today I sat down and did some adding and realized that over the last eight years I have spent somewhere between fifteen to seventeen thousand dollars trying to get all of the information that would prove Palin lied about the birth.
That is a fairly substantial investment. I am not exactly wealthy.
So yes I have recently had some doubts.

Many of us believe that it was precisely the pressure from the few, the proud, the pajama-clad bloggers, that was the beginning of the end for Palin. Knowing that people were fresh on her heels...knowing that "the truth was out there"...surely this is what pushed her to the edge, off of which she has clearly gone. The proud republic owes you a major debt of gratitude, for fighting the good fight.

DeleteTrig would have been born 7 years ago, give or take a couple of months. And, there were a couple of months when Palin was slim one day and suddenly announced, to everyone's surprise, that she was 7 months pregnant. Never mind that photos of Palin's previous pregnancies showed that she carried "as big as a house." Trig never showed, at least not in Sarah's photos. (No, we don't count the posed hallway photos which had the wrong time stamp on them. They were no proof at all).
DeleteYes, we would all like to know the true story of who gave birth to Trig, when and where-- and how he ended up being shuffled through the back door of MatSu 7 years ago so Sarah could claim that he was "just delivered." (Yes, he was delivered, but she did not give birth to him. Someone else did).
As Hillary said, "At this point, what difference does it make?" Palin has little-to-no political influence and voice. She screams from her facebook and a private TV channel. She show up for speeches where she is more ridiculous than serious. Sarah is her own worst enemy, showing how stupid she is and that she was never qualified to have been nominated to run for vice president.
Trig was added to the family so Sarah would appeal to the Right-to-Lifers. The saddest part of the story is that Trig does not seem to have gotten much therapy, if any. He is only a prop in photos from time to time. When they showed that he was BFF with Tripp, and then the next photos showed Tripp being spoiled in Kentucky, that meant that Trig was left all alone in Alaska. Thank goodness that Trig can play with Jill. Oh, yeah, Jill is just a dog. Go fetch the stick, Jill, and then I'll get it.
If you have real, solid evidence - real proof that could expose the hoax, then yes, you should do it. If all you have is more speculation and conjecture that can be denied, then it is probably best not to bother. No one cares about Sarah Palin anymore other than the truthers who have been here since the beginning and know the score. She gets no new attention. FOX doesn't have her on anymore, the NRA didn't want her, no news organization gives her any credence whatsoever and she can't even generate any tabloid interest in her daughter's upcoming wedding to a MOH recipient.
DeleteReally, no one cares anymore and the response from most people will be along the lines of your sister's response. Unless it's really good and irrefutable. Joe McGinness had a good, provable story but the nation wasn't ready to hear it and he was dismissed by the media. Sarah was still riding high at the time and she was able to paint herself as the victim of a stalker who was peering into Piper's bedroom window and she had the sympathy of the nation. Joe, a respected and critically acclaimed author got little attention on his book tour and even had TV interviews cancelled. Sarah no longer wields such clout. No one is interested in covering for her anymore. She has pretty much been exposed as an idiot now and people should be a little more receptive to what you might have to say. They might not care so much about the political aspects of the story, but should be horrified by the revelations of just what a horrible mother she is.
You can do this. Just make sure you are on solid ground when you start. Remember, you are dealing with idiots. Maybe watch videos of Bill Nye and study how he keeps his composure when having to explain things to morons. Never lose your cool.
What the. who spends that on something when the truth has to come from Sarah herself? I lost 5k last year in Vegas. Big but not hugely detrimental. But I was enjoying myself.

DeleteYes, for all the above reasons mentioned by everyone, but I would like to add two of my own - Steve Schmidt and Nicole Wallace. It bothers me to see the two of them treated as if they are heroes for coming out against Sarah Palin AFTER the election and the damage has been done. They are full participants in foisting this tragedy on America. What if McCain had actually won? And now Steve Schmidt is all over cable television being hailed as some political expert and Nicole Wallace gets a regular spot on daytime television. Both of them need to be outed for their complicity in this hoax and they deserve the loss of credibility that comes with it, too. I can only hope it will mean the end of their careers - it would be justice served.

This, if it ever comes out in the open, will shock people; imagine the threats that Palin would get then. No one would be able to fathom the cruelty put onto an innocent down syndrome child by a mother or adopted mother. No human being could be this cruel to a little child, other than those monster parents we hear about in the news.
This story would perplex even the heartiest and toughest of souls. That child doesn't only have to be challenged for the rest of his life with down syndrome, but has been used, exploited, photographed, had invasion of privacy, his story sold and told by his mother and Bristol, who've used him in their books, speeches, blogs, facebook posts, political speeches, pro-life rallies. Trig's mother acted like the victim, using him as a prop and shield, feigning indignation when her political rivals would use the term 'retarded', engaging her in attention-seeking blasts to media, for maximum exposure. Everything in Trig's life has been about Sarah Palin. He shows he can't talk, communicates poorly, reports are that he isn't properly toilet trained, cannot swallow a Cheerio (made by his own mother). He is used as props for his mother to post idiotic melodramatic bizarre life-lesson rantings. His mother uses God when demonstrating how special he is, but never shows what kind of treatments and therapies he's receiving, so she can share and ask for feedback from other mothers, in a public forum. His mother doesn't show she ever cares about down syndrome children, except when it provides a photo opportunity for her to get her face in there, always rapturously smiling, as she brags about how she enjoys great culinary treats and lives vibrantly, while Trig can only eat apple sauce.
She is a travesty, a monster in her own right, as a mother. She hardly can pose with her precious child with him holding on to her in an endearing way, like all other down syndrome children with their parents, clutching onto to them in a very loving manner. We never have ever seen photos like that, because this woman has no use for him anymore. She's too busy mothering her narcissistic needs.
Well has it occurred to anyone to notify the Kid of this child endangerment...then you better step up and out of the way...she's got the license and crew to do the job...legally with federal assistance...preference of the job I hear...too many incompetent statesman...shrug...

Sarah also remembered (or was reminded about) National DS day, March 23 at the zero hour, a few minutes before midnight in Alaska, and past midnight for most of us. 3/23 stands for having 3 of the #23 chromosomes instead of the usual 2 chromosomes. Sarah has not given anything in the way of charity to DS organizations-- not any donations, her high profile to help them raise money and awareness, nada, nothing. Trig was used as her prop during the 2008 campaign and again during her 2009 book tour. The sight of that poor child being dragged out in a t-shirt and a diaper at 11 PM on a cold night was terrible, rivaled by Trig kicking and screaming when Sally and another woman tired to feed him. I wonder if Trig has eaten a cheerio yet. I wonder if he can handle soft food or if he can pick up pieces of food and put them in his mouth all by himself. Trig deserves beter.

ReplyDeleteThere were so many holes in her story, from driving herself home from an amnio test (that's a no no) to sneaking in the back door of a geneticist's office and using her maiden name so they wouldn't know who she was. These days, you have to show ID for every medical visit. She was the much photographed governor of Alaska. Her picture was in the paper every day. There are HIPPA privacy laws which prevent anyone in the medical office from describing her visit and she told that nutty story anyway. It never made sense. None of it made sense. People who saw Sarah after she claimed to have given birth said, "No Way!" She wasn't pregnant. They worked with her every day.
So she lied. She stuck herself with the responsibility of caring for a boy with Down syndrome and she doesn't seem to provide therapy for him. When she speaks, she sounds like an idiot. She cares more about publicity and donations to her PAC. The reason that the truth should be told is for Trig. He deserves better. The problem is that it just might be that his birth mother would provide even worse care for him. Poor kid. Some Happy Birthday.

Show a Mom that had more important things to do. who wanted to be lauded for her "sacrifice" but never really did the work. He has observed so much, and seen how the family live, operate, with Sarah gone so much, Todd living here and there, no one home, kids here and there, aunts, uncles come and go, no routine, and a nanny that is probably the closest thing to a mother to Trig.
ReplyDeleteThe fact that he knows, and visually sees their real lifestyles, means that he can never divulge the secrets and must be kept from having his full potential (education, social development, skills, communication) at par. Depending on his developmental rating, he could learn and become a fairly independent adult, working, socializing, making friends, etc. That wouldn't happen if Sarah Palin is afraid he'll talk about his family to strangers.
So, in essence, Trig's life can never reach his full potential, because he might communicate his feelings or displeasure about the family, or for example, tell friends and teachers that his nanny is his mother. If his caretakers other than Sarah, who have become emotionally attached to him, and vice versa, he would tell everyone his nanny or caretaker is the one he trusts and loves. His honesty would put the Palins at a disadvantage, therefore, we see why Sarah doesn't want him to learn, express himself, communicate and thrive towards becoming independent. It serves her purposes that he stay minimally functional. And, that is a horrid shame.
Trig may be stuck in that family, like a prisoner, and for that reason, G. and all of us, we have to do everything we can to expose these evil people, and from preventing them from doing this again and again.

DeleteWhether or not it's worth it is a question that you have to answer for yourself, because you're the one paying the price. I don't think it will have much serious impact on Mrs. Palin. Her fans are beyond reason and everyone else already realizes she's a nut case. I'll bet she has already concocted her fall back story and likely another one beyond that.
