It is with great sadness that we announce that, despite our best efforts to make the book "Boys Will Boys" (by Shailey M. Tripp) into a movie, we have been forced to suspend any further work on the project at this time.
We have encountered many hurdles while nevertheless making progress in this project. However, the most significant and damaging situation was provided in recent weeks when it was announced from the Louisiana State Capitol that the Governor of Louisiana had signed-off on a cap to limit tax credits for movie-makers in the state. This has led to severe uncertainty within the industry, including announcements of varying veracity, that movie productions scheduled to be produced in Louisiana as well as existing productions already being filmed in Louisiana would be pulling out or relocating to alternative states.
Such a measure has caused severe nervousness and an atmosphere of uncertainty among potential investors throughout the industry, such that interest in "Boys Will Be Boys - The Movie" has cooled to the extent that Pink Hat Productions can no longer afford to support the project to its intended scale.
We would like to thank all those individuals who have made a commitment to the project, including those who have worked countless hours and to those who have given donations to help us defray the costs of the campaign, to help us in our efforts towards in trying to achieve the considerable amount of funding required to get the movie under way. We will do everything we can to preserve the property and hope very much that we can resurrect the project in some way in the future.

First off I have to say that I don't personally think this film had anything to do with Bobby Jindal's decision to cap tax credits for movie makers. (That's actually a fairly crazy thing to assume, but you know somebody will.)
Secondly I have not spoken with Shailey since January so I have no update on how she is or how this is affecting her.
As you probably remember a year ago Shailey was attacked, and briefly hospitalized, but since then I have only had minimal contact with her.
If anybody knows anything more, feel free to share the information here. (As long as it does not reveal Shailey's current location of course.

Speaking for myself only, I would be VERY, very surprised to ever someday find out -- should the truth ever be revealed -- that the Palins were NOT involved in Shailey's sudden and complete "media disappearance."
IMHO, they shut her up just like they have so many others and -- SO FAR -- they've gotten away with it.
Sarah continues to grift, insult our intelligence, pollute public opinion and to contribute nothing but hatred, diviciveness and lies. And now, God help us, she's mentoring her daughter so that SHE can someday take over the "family business."!
As for Todd the pimp? Last I heard he'd bought into a very secluded and luxurious resort for rich people. Gee, what could a wealthy, politically-well-connected pimp do with THAT? More like, what COULDN'T he!
If pursuing the truth about the Palins is "a war," Shailey Tripp is one of our wounded warriors. Until we hear otherwise, I firmly believe the best thing I can do for her is to continue trying to expose the Palins.
Accomplishing THAT would put a smile on Shailey's face. Mine too!

However, this never occurred with Shailey Tripp because there were facts in the book that could be proven! The last thing the Palins wanted, especially in this instance, was to go to Court and have to appear and answer questions on the stand!!!!
Todd used Shailey and others by providing them to the Anchorage Police, FBI agents in Anchorage as well as Secret Service members during Sarah's hay days!

The DMV in Alaska certainly gave malia the runaround when she was trying ascertain the true original date of the plate purchase. If, as was already indicated by one employee there, the plates were purchased before Tripp Johnston's birth...well then, someone has explaining to do.

We'll know in the next few months how much the tax credit issue plays into quitting work on the Boys Will Be Boys movie. It's being reported that the next legislative session will revamp the tax credit program.

I haven't followed the movie closely, but last I checked (several months ago), there hadn't been any updates in ages. I think the tax credit is just an excuse to officially end a project that's been dead in the water for more than a year. I don't know anything about Pink Hat (and don't care enough to Google), but the film's website wasn't very professional.

If Shailey is mentally ill, it is most likely borne of the shame and disgust she felt after sexually serviced hundreds of men. Todd Palin manipulated her in every way.

Todd has the secretly recorded footage of many important people frolicking in an AAY massage room, but he knows the APD has footage of HIM with Shailey. They may have told him it was destroyed, but he knows enough to still be concerned that Shailey held on to some.
Shailey was a young single mother trying to rise above poverty and meet the needs of her two children, one of whom was profoundly disabled. Todd took advantage of every aspect of her life.
Whatever Shailey is suffering from now if indeed there is any mental illness...she can lay it squarely at the feet of Todd Palin.

She was furious but never actually addressed either claim -- that she had bipolar disorder and that she was not receiving treatment. If those things were both true, the entire story could be a manic delusion based on a celebrity fixation with Todd Palin (or, more cynically, a ploy to grift money and attention).

My biggest concern with her story is that I've never seen any independent evidence to corroborate. She claims APD destroyed most of it. That could be true or could not be true. Until someone else provides testimony or evidence that supports her story, I'm agnostic.

But when they finally get their comeuppance it will undoubtedly be over something like unpaid taxes, ( think Al Capone), or something equally dull. Nevertheless I will rejoice on that day. It seems like a slam dunk case of defamation since obviously the claim is so obviously lacking in honesty and credibility and so potentially damaging to Todd. I hear from Shailey periodically but not as of late. Her life has been hell since the attack and she is working her butt off. Her kids are with relatives because of the ramifications of the attack and she is trying to stabilize her financial and physical situation. Could Palins have made her life any more miserable?

DeleteMcGinnis wrote a terrific book - "The Rogue - Searching for the Real Sarah Palin". He was very accurate in the majority of what he wrote - confirmed the information by interviewing folks all over the State of Alaska - politicians and non - as well as friends and enemies of the Palins.
McGinniss lived (rented a house) next door to the Palins (in Wasilla) while researching and writing his wonderful book. And, of course, the Palins did their normal thing in trying to destroy McGinniss!
I so love that he had the balls to live right next door to them! Cracked me up! But then, he did (and displayed it!) having a wonderful sense of humor in his writings!
Everyone should read the book - you'll learn so much - it confirms the Sarah and Todd Palin we all know today!

All the coincidences are puzzling and need more examination.
Human trafficking of any kind is serious. The Palins absolutely give the appearance of connections to very seamy and dark affairs.

It is obvious that the family has embraced Marina and they bring her close to each and everyone of them. At one time they may have treated Shailey in a similar way.

Dr. Cussack is 73 years old, an age when most doctors seriously consider retiring because of a number of factors. There is the higher cost of medical insurance that increases with age. How about the shaky hands of a 73 year old holding a syringe filled with botox to eliminate some crows feet near the eyes, and oops? And his office needs two "assistants?" What kind of "full time job" lets Bristol move away to Kentucky to get married, and oops again, she's back?? Ditto for Bristol taking off weeks on end to film a tv show or dance with the stars. Yeah, that's some full time job.

Dakota Meyer taped a video in the same Sarah space. That was when he was engaged to Bristol.
Marina is more loyal and trustworthy than Dakota would have ever been. The Palins are in deep with Marina. Not certain how many years but it looks like many with the Cussacks, Palins and Marina Lupas.
My family never had any type of sex industry workers at family events or known in the family. Todd and Sarah did not entirely hide their relationship to Shailey. They absolutely are not hiding they travel with Marina.
I think it is rare a family would have 2 different ladies in the industry be in such intimate family situations.
I sure hope Bristol isn't administering any treatments because last time I checked, she didn't have even a preliminary license in Alaska.

Bristol is not licensed, last I knew. Her 'skin diploma', according to Sarah cost her something like 20 grand. Who thinks Bristol earned it or did Sarah just purchase another 'diploma' dill?
DeleteIn the skin doctor's office they would advertise that Marina Lupas was a medical assistant. After someone noticed, it was changed because Lupas was not qualified. She may still be assisting but not sure what or how she assists.
That place is a front and not much more. What all they do to help Bristol and the other 'workers' isn't known yet.
I've always been dubious of Shailey's claims or at least some of them. I've been a registered massage therapist in two states for over 19 yrs. AK has no requirements other than a biz license, Anchorage and other municipalities requirements are basically a joke. But one thing any RMT knows and experiences from day one is being propositioned sexually. It causes a lot of headaches and sometimes lost clients, but if you want to keep your license (at least in my states) you cannot risk being convicted of any sexual offenses. Some therapists risk it and take the extra money, others don't. But I find it hard to believe any therapist is forced into prostitution. That's just been my experience and I'm entering my 20th year. I don't doubt for a second that she was propositioned. But she wasn't forced to say yes.

I don't think she ever got her license but some of her clients were local, outstanding well to do business people. They happened to be Republicans since Reagan was in office and he brought all kinds of his friends out and into town when he would visit here. The 'massage therapist' was not forced by anyone into sex, she solicited it because that was where the money was and she had a thing for old men with money.

Alaska has no requirements, Anchorage is a joke. Shailey worked in the Valley? Have you paid attention to the business where Bristol Palin has said she works for the past 6 years? It is a dermatology office, Alaska Dermatology, Laser and Skin Cancer Center, and also a spa, Aesthetica Med Spa. In Anchorage there is not even a decent medical board to insure the well being of citizens that go to a medical spa or a dermatologist's office.
Shailey's claims do not seem dubious to me. You could be more specific about what you mean?
I don't even care if she was forced or seduced or did it of her own free will. She paid the legal price for it, something Todd Palin has yet to do. I personally don't think prostitution should be illegal, but pimps and customers should suffer the same consequences.

I agree that prostitution should be legal. In an old patriarchal man's world that will never happen. They hate women other than what they can use them for. They want to keep wives in something as close to a chasity belt as possible and they want other women who can do their biding with few strings attached.
When we learn more, as the investigations progress and in time we will know what is sticking and will take the Palins into the next phase.
The authorities never did get the evidence on Capone for his dirty business, only the tax evasion. There will be plenty of evidence that stays lost. What will matter is what sticks.
I think Jindal was forced to cut the free LA movie money because so many millions were going to those multi-millionaire country club duck characters.... a bit like how the Palins ransacked Sarah's scheme to give away a lot of money for pathetic Alaska reality shows- until Alaskans stopped it.

She found someone willing to consider doing a movie from her book and they decided to lightly veil the real characters by making them from Louisiana instead of AK in order to tell the story of Shailey and Todd without actually using real names.
DeleteI hear ya, Shailey never provided any proof of any of her allegations and if she could have I'd have believed her but she lied about Todd giving her the "Tripp" license plate and after that I had not reason to believe anything she said. She has issues, mental issues, not to mention having a few special needs kids from a few different dads. Her family stopped supporting her and even talking to her and that's all I needed to hear to never believe a thing she said.

Who are these people who helped Shailey or swindled people out of their money? Are they real people? Do they have real credits to their name? Aren't they the reason the police didn't investigate Shailey's abduction? Were they involved in her abduction? This is all very strange.

What she did for a living was what she had to do to survive with two kids with special needs, and I think she deserves respect and a chance to get her story made into a movie.

ReplyDelete"No evidence of the palins" being involved is not accurate. The Palins were in Biloxi and other close areas in Mississippi the week of Shailey's abduction. It is even documented in the Biloxi local papers, and the Palins made a television appearance on the local news there the very day Shailey was found. Also Shailey was found real close to the Producer's home in Biloxi. I know this because I was in Biloxi at the hospital where Shailey was found and overheard all the police happenings. It was crazy. The police even thought it was a publicity stunt by the PR company representing Shailey, which has turned out to be the same people producing the movie. I currently live in Pascagoula but I bet I could find local newspapers to show the dates when the Palins were there. Maybe the Palins paid off the media pr company?

ReplyDeleteShailey Tripp gave 3 different dates on which Todd "gifted" her with the TRIPP license plate and one of those dates she gave was AFTER Bristol already had the plates on her truck. DMV told Malia Litman what date the plates were issued on and that date could not have coincided with Tripp's story as it was well after the dates she listed.
