Unfortunately for Trump the medal was not real.
Okay he attacks Gold Star families, gets stuck in elevators, misspells words on Twitter, and now gets scammed by a former veteran? The man who gave Trump his purple heart told me earlier today, it was a copy of his purple heart.— Katy Tur (@KatyTurNBC) August 2, 2016
But wait, there's more.
That's right he just got called out by his Trump Tramp's son-in-law. And Hillary Clinton just retweeted it.If @realDonaldTrump wants to be the Commander in Chief, he needs to act like one. And that cant start until he apologizes to the Khans.— Dakota Meyer (@Dakota_Meyer) August 2, 2016
I am not sure if I am watching a legitimate presidential campaign or the parody of a presidential campaign.
P.S. By the way Trump is also refusing to support John McCain, Paul Ryan, and Kelly Ayotte in their upcoming primaries. Yep, sounding more like a parody campaign every day.
It's too bad Trump avoided Viet Nam. He denied some soldier the opportunity to frag the SOB!
ReplyDeleteI don't know what "frag" means but I have to assume it's not good, for Trump, that is.
DeleteHad to explain the term "to frag" to someone recently. I don't know if it was first used in the Vietnam war, but it certainly evokes that era in my mind.
DeleteEverything I know about the Vietnam war came from watching "Tropic Thunder".
DeleteTo frag
DeleteTo dispose of a unpopular/unsafe superior officer usually by means of a fragmentation grenade.
To me, to frag somebody - especially in the context of the Vietnam War - means to fragment him/her, i.e. to kill someone.
DeleteFRAG=assassination of an unpopular member of one's own fighting unit, occasionally using a FRAGmentation grenade. Fragging is a macabre ritual of Vietnam in which American enlisted men attempt to murder their superiors AKA kill or assassinate an unpopular or incompetent officer.
DeleteBeginning to think Trump is "fragging" himself if you consider that every day there's some new crisis he personally caused. Not sure now if he's even going to make it to Labor Day, let alone Election Day.
DeleteSo what exactly WOULD happen if Trump bails before the election? Would Pence step up? Would Ryan?
What is there even to say anymore about this person? He is a joke, a joke of a person, a joke of a businessman and apparently a joke of a husband.
ReplyDeleteHopefully he's run through his meager fortune running for POTUS and he won't have enough funds to remain in the limelight after he either quits the race or loses miserably.
I realize we live in a reality show culture but this is above and beyond even that.
It was funny for a while but now it's simply pathetic.
You forgot joke of a parent.
DeleteThat, also, too.
DeleteIf this were a Hollywood production, it would make more sense. As it is we the public are being royally screwed by so-called "journalists" treating tRump as if he is a REAL contender for the office.
DeleteHopefully he's run through his meager fortune running for POTUS
Delete----
I have the sick feeling that somehow he made money on this campaign from the interest on the loans to himself and book sales to the uneducated.
Silly Dakota, a man who has boasted that he has never felt the need to repent anything in his life, isn't likely to start now.
ReplyDeleteThat was el Donaldo.
DeleteDid Dakota clear the tweet with his mother-in- law?
Delete5:38, I was referring to Trump. I was saying Dakota is a fool if he thinks Trump will start repenting now.
DeleteIs she still waiting for President Obama to call/ This may be a ploy.
DeleteHoly shit, I don't do the twitter but went to his comments and people are beating him up about this. I realize that the Trump supporters are the dumbest of the dumb and the lowest of the low, both in intelligence and political acumen, but damn, they're hateful and loud.
ReplyDeleteHopefully Dakota realizes, from these hateful replies, that the Trump Train is just a place that no one needs to be, anyone with a brain, that is.
They really crucified Dumbkota after he criticized Trump for calling the military weak.
DeleteIt was disgusting how the Trump supporters justified and found excuses for Trump's remarks, mostly by blaming Obama.
Denial ain't just a river in Egypt!!!
Each day I think this whole soap opera can't get any more insane - and then each day it does. Hard to keep up with the crazy.
ReplyDeleteEarlier today - think it was on Wolf Blitzer - not sure - that wacko Trump parrot Pierson said Obama and Clinton were responsible for Khan dying. It happened four years before Obama was in office - that lady is really nuts.
Pat Padrnos
You have to understand, eight years Obama has been POTUS has been an eternity for Republicans.
DeleteI know some people who thought that the 8 years of Bush was an eternity due to their not paying attention and losing their life savings to the market crash.
DeleteMost of us that were paying attention didn't care so much but that 8 years cost more than a few people their life savings and houses and cars and sent them into bankruptcy.
Did CNN call her out on her lies on air or did they let her get away with it again?
Delete----------------------
Trump In Free Fall As Campaign Blames Obama For The Death Of Captain Khan In 2004
.... While appearing on CNN’s The Situation Room, Trump spokeswoman Katrina Pierson dodged a question about whether or not Trump has apologized to Khan family, and then rewrote history, “It was under Barack Obama and Hillary Clinton that changed the rules of engagement that probably cost his life, so I don’t understand why it’s so hard to understand why Donald Trump was confused about why he was being held responsible for something that he had nothing to do with while Hillary Clinton had everything to do with.”
Army Capt. Humayun Khan bravely gave up his life to save others on June 8, 2004, when George W. Bush was president, not Barack Obama. Hillary Clinton did not have anything to do with Capt. Khan’s death. At the time, she was still the junior Senator from New York. ....

ReplyDeleteHard to fault Trump for not endorsing Ryan and McCain.
DeleteJust days before Republicans adopted a new, more Russia-friendly plank into their party platform, one of Donald Trump’s top advisers visited Moscow in July to deliver speeches criticizing decades of U.S. foreign policy.
DeleteGlobal energy investor Carter Page joined Trump’s team in March. Since then, Page has criticized U.S.-Russia policy in a number of public speeches, and repeatedly expressed his hope that a closer relationship between the two nations might be possible with Trump in the White House.
“Washington and other Western capitals have impeded potential progress through their often hypocritical focus on ideas such as democratization, inequality, corruption, and regime change,” Page said last month during a commencement speech at a Moscow economics graduate school.
Page also suggested the United States should ease economic sanctions imposed on Russia following its 2014 incursion into Ukraine and Crimea, which was condemned in an overwhelming vote in the United Nations. In exchange for sanctions relief, Page said, American companies might be invited to partner with Russian firms to exploit Russia’s oil and gas fields.

DeleteTouche!! (But I read it was a replica - is that true?)
Pat Padrnos
5:19 That purple heart my be fake, Most likely FAKEd by dRump himself. It is All a set up for the media and a play on the USA. dRumpf MUST WIN!
DeleteOK - this is my last comment on the Purple Heart situation.
DeleteMr. Khan just kicked Trump's fanny again. He said Trump should have graciously accepted the Medal, pinned it on the man's jacket, embraced him and thanked him for his service. Wow.

Poor Duhkota.. Being retweeted by Clinton means no BJ tonight from Bristol.
ReplyDeleteYep

Gryphen! Now is the time! Get that info on Bristol OUT THERE! You can't time it any better than this. LOL
DeleteAlways the backdoor......
DeleteI posted the comments below in Gryphen’s previous thread. I hadn’t yet seen the Purple Heart one. I’m still in a state of incredulity at what I saw Trump do today:
ReplyDeleteThat Purple Heart moment at Trump's rally was so, so bad. Later it was said--and I think it's true after hearing it a couple times--that the PH wasn't real, but that didn't matter in some respects.
Trump's acceptance of it, if he thought it real, was so shallow and there was no sense of honor there. If he thought he really had to accept it and didn't want to offend the man who gave it to him, okay, I can see taking it momentarily but then handing it back to him with a thank you. Whether he thought it real or not, he handled the medal like it was a Bic lighter as he casually slipped it into and out of his pocket--real or not, it was symbolic and you just don't do that. The language he used was the typical Sopranos language with matching tone and his words were completely uninspired--if he thought he had a PH in his hands, how could he not take pause and find something meaningful to say to the listening crowd.
And he had absolutely no sense of how that medal moment (again, doesn't matter if the medal was real) played against all that has been talked about all week with the Khans and his five deferments. He always wanted a Purple Heart? That's what he said. Um, how does someone with five deferments expect that to even be possible? Not that a real soldier wants a PH.
If Trump knew that the PH was a replica and he acted like he believed the guy, then he was participating in a skit. WTF? Why oh why would he do that? Again, if he thought it to be real, his behavior was all wrong. Either way, it was all wrong. (If he was faked out and embarrassed, I've seen nothing about that yet and I bet he'll stay silent.)
Even if believing it real, I half expected him to call out to the man, "Hey, catch!" and toss the medal back to the man when his shtick was over.
I thought the dude was going to pin it on his lapel, but he just posed for a second, "off you go dude" and into the pocket exactly like a Bic. NO RESPECT, ZERO!
DeleteMore like exactly as rehearsed.
DeleteTrump has turned our presidential elections into a reality show.
Is it REAL or Memoryx? dRump> "he said, that's my REAL purple Heart" Was this real or staged? WhO is PUNKing whO?
ReplyDeleteSeems only fair!
Deletehttp://nypost.com/2016/06/21/trump-has-been-giving-out-fake-diamond-cuff-links-for-years/
I vote staged.
DeleteHaha 5:00! Drumpf giving Charlie Sheen fake diamond cufflinks was the first thing i thought of when i saw this story :)
DeleteJohn Kerry was vilified for tossing his war medals in protest of the Vietnam War after he returned home from fighting in it.
ReplyDeleteThis bozo hands over his medal to draft dodging-5 deferments Trump, like a lovesick teen giving the object of his affection his class ring.
Yep, it kinds sick.
DeleteAnother thing that made me sick today was what I heard said about why Trump said that if Ivanka got sexually harassed he'd expect her to leave and get another job. This, supposedly, is part of his "strongman" way. Women, the way he sees it, are strong if they say they're not going to stick around--leaving, rather than fighting the wrong and for one's job, is weak. (And, hah, like he'd expect anyone else to just leave when some higher up did wrong.) I believe that Trump is just so incredibly outdated and needs to go back to another era in a time machine. I don't think he actually thinks that the strong woman finds a new job. I think he just doesn't take sexual harassment seriously. Wow, in 2016 we're supposed to think that the victim has to find a new job and her world become chaotic as she tries, and the harasser, who's breaking the law, should stay and continue what he's doing. Eric Trump tried spinning that strongman idea to really push the notion that strong women don’t become victims. This just made things worse. And that was when Ivanka Trump was suddenly scheduled to appear on Fox tonight with Greta van Susteren.
ReplyDeleteAnd I thought he liked how her hair smells after a shower, how smooth and silky her long shapely legs are, he loves her so much that if she wasn't his daughter , he'd marry her.
DeleteWhat a sick father you have Ivanka. Counsel Melania because she's busy studying and modelling, poor thing probably thinks Daddy Loves Her LMAO
Oops, above I meant to say that leaving is, to Trump, not weak but strong. Really twisted.
DeleteIt was interesting--and only disturbing when some people actually defended this--how people on the news today were trying to see through Trump's eyes. The point was made that leaving was the sign of a strong woman. Well, if you're being abused at home and leave, yeah that's strength. This workplace situation is a different matter. Would he really expect any other situation at work to be resolved by the employee just leaving and nothing at the company changing? Would he do that if he were harassed? No way.
And another thing that kills me is that the question about Ivanka was asked of Trump said in his interview as they were talking about the Ailes situation. We know that he sees Ivanka sexually. You'd think he'd go mad at the thought of Ailes groping his duaghter or telling her to give him a blow job. But all Trump did was say that he'd hope she'd leave the company. And I have to assume, too, that if she then told her dad what happened and why she'd quit, he'd not get angry at Ailes--he'd completely understand where Ailes was coming from.
Basically drumpf and spawn are saying "Don't like it? Then leave" is the answer to on-the-job sexual harassment.
DeleteMaybe Ivanka has that luxury. They're very bad people, vote!!
Ivanka is being sued (following in Daddy's footsteps?) for putting shoes out as her designs, when they were plagarized from a REAL shoe company. Also, too, who ever heard of a speaker at a convention advertising her clothing line?
Delete"I always wanted to get a Purple Heart". Apparently Trump thinks the Purple Heart is just another war medal, he must not realize that it is awarded for combat injury. Hardly the medal a good soldier "wants". How disrespectful and ignorant.
ReplyDeleteFucking idiot.
Maybe he plans to have Melanomia copy it and sell them as part of her jewelry line on QVC.
DeleteAs a 100% service connected disabled veteran I am appalled at Trumps' behavior. I am even more appalled at the veteran giving trump his purple heart.
DeleteEveryone is bashing trump (deservedly so) but as far as I know, no one is bashing the veteran for doing something so stupid as giving his purple heart away....dumb shit...
Ivanka is on GVS tonight.
ReplyDeleteCan't wait to miss it. What a train wreck!
Are we sure Palin isn't a silent adviser?
Sounds just like how she'd run.
Oh Donald, we ALL wished you received the Purple Heart-posthumously....
ReplyDeleteHa-Ha-Ha!! The Donald sure fell for the PH schtick! If the vet did this because of Trump's vitriol towards the Khan's, and his insults towards veterans and military families, then kudos to him!!
ReplyDeleteRight now, $arah and her mini-me dummy must be ripping Doughboy a new asshole for publicly dissing their "idol". Perhaps things aren't so rosy in "palin-land" after all. Maybe he should get a "food tester".
I personally feel that this was all another reality show "game" for Trump. The problem is, the "game" got real, and has spiralled out of control for him. Now, he is looking for a way out. All of the bullshit he has been spewing as of late could be the set-up.
As I have mentioned here on previous occasions, The Donald is a "false flag" who is deliberately setting up the republican party for its own demise. Besides, Trump is shitting himself in fear of facing Hillary in any televised debates, knowing fuckin' well that she will publicly rip him a new asshole!!
You state this is a reality show for Trump, that he is a "false flag" (Trojan horse?) to cause the demise of the GOP, but claim that he is afraid to debate Hillary, for fear of failure. If he is a fake candidate, who wants to destroy the party, wouldn't he want to lose the debates?
DeleteReally? You think he consciously set out to take down the Republican Party?
Deleteoh sure 600 lots of folks thought that to begin with - some made bets I am guessing...
DeleteBULLSHIT. Trump is only ever out for himself. He's using the Republican Party for his own self-aggrandizement, profit, and vindication against President Obama dissing him at the White House Correspondents Dinner in 2011. His megalomania will hopefully be very destructive to the GOP and he obviously doesn't give a shit if it is, but that's because it's simply a means to an end for him, not because he's secretly deliberately trying to sabotage it.
DeleteThis election is like being in the Twilight Zone. Pretty soon, we should be hearing Rod Serling talking about this alternative universe. I have never seen anything like this ever. Donald Trump is so narcissistic, just like his pal Palin, that he cannot abide anything that he perceives as an insult. He instantly has to tweet or hold a press conference to address the audacity of anyone that would question his perfection. He never lets a slight go by without striking back. Narcissists cannot be helped psychologically as a rule because they refuse to believe anything could possibly be wrong with them!
ReplyDeleteTrump's bad behavior is escalating. I can't believe he will make it to November 8. His campaign will crash and burn first.
DeleteI am 68 years old and a political junkie. Like others, I have never seen anything like this.
Once this clown show is over, hopefully we will NEVER see anything like this again. Most people want a President they can admire and trust. tRump is a joke worldwide, except here in the US to too many idiots.
DeleteI know the Republicans have low standards for their candidates, but even Nixon and George W. didn't stoop this low.
DeleteI think Sarah is pissed off at Trump for no invite to GOP convention.
ReplyDeleteShe is directing Dakota to attack Trump as her revenge.
yeah, I'm pretty sure he has Sarah's blessing if not carrying out her actual instructions. Stick it to her ex-boyfriend.
DeleteI doubt that Palin is orchestrating this. She is such a bigot that she would never have a problem with Trump attacking the Khans. I'm sure she agrees with him on that and she disagrees with Duhmmy. And I doubt that Duhmmy would take orders from her, period. But I do think it's very possible that she's simply OK with Duhmmy attacking Trump for any reason.
DeleteFake Purple Heart Medals are a problem.
ReplyDeleteThe VA did not want to put Purple Heart on my Dad's headstone because we did not have the citation, just the actual medal. Fortunately, we unearthed my dad's first disability payment - for gunshot wound to the knee. That was good enough to get it on the headstone. The Bronze Star went on also because we had the citation. My dad did get a laugh about the Bronze Star being sent 40 years after WWII. So poor little forgotten clerk, in a dusty forgotten office must have turned over a stack of old, dusty, forgotten paperwork.
There's really a much more serious issue with the paperwork. My dad's, and many other veteran's records were also affected.
Deletehttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/National_Personnel_Records_Center_fire
I didn't realize that you got a Purple Heart for shooting yourself in the foot.
ReplyDeleteVery appropriate comment.
DeletePat Padrnos
Yeah, I'm pretty sure "refusing to endorse" = "staying away from their campaigns at their request."
ReplyDeleteThat was honorable for Dakota to step up and confront Trump.
ReplyDeleteTrump is such a sick narcissist he could not just.let.it.go. He double, triple, and quadrupled down into ridiculousness.
It is mind boggling to revisit of the baby-man missiles he attempted to throw out to malign the Khans and switch around Mr Khan's eloquent words and message.
Trump is unfit.
I think the odds are at least 50-50 Trump will withdraw before the election.
ReplyDeleteI think he will totally crack up by then.
DeletePat Padrnos
Maybe his bone spur will cause a "presidential deferment." My hope is that he completely flips out and is carried away by the Disoriented Express.
DeleteOdds at 50-50 that Trump will withdraw is evidence of the damage Sarah Palin did to our political landscape. It should be 100% that Trump will have to be withdrawn by "his" party.
DeleteI don't think Donnie boy is going to withdraw. His ego couldn't handle it.
DeleteWhy. Is this your personal hunch, or is it based on some information? (not to deride personal hunches. It's not crazy to think. Just curious)
DeleteI imagine a scenario that DJT will abandon the race with claims he was "put up" to run by the Clintons or some equally outrageous reason. Twisted, yes, Trumplike, yes.
DeleteHe has hus putin reason.
DeleteNo way will he withdraw, his ego won't allow it.
DeleteThe only he will drop out is the men in the white coats come to forcible take him away.
Then he can blame Obamecare covering mental health as the reason.
He and his campaign is already setting the stage for his loss.
The election is rigged, casting a shadow over Hillary term.
Edwell, Paul Ryan says he did not ask tRump for his endorsment. So there ya go, Don you Red Con! You are being called out over and over.
ReplyDeleteOTOH, I vervently hope that he stays until the election and gets defeated at the polls. Because, if he copps out before, then the RNC can nominate anyone they feel like to run against Hillary, and that in turn means they will for sure manipulate the voting machines like in times passed.
I didn't see it, but wouldn't purple clash with cheeto orange? I mean, it really puts a damper on your wardrobe choices. Someone who earned a purple heart, got shot/injured in an active war zone. Where did Donald get viciously attacked? Isn't there a law about stolen valor? I know it's a plant, but the REAL recipient got rooked into handing over a shred of his real sacrifice to this fake ass liar?
ReplyDeleteThere's got to be money made out of this, movies, books.
ReplyDeleteThere is no imagination creative enough to ever make up a story like this one.
This Republican party is one hot mess.
Nothing could make me want to relive any of this EVER again in any way, shape or form.
DeleteOh my Son-in-Law must be getting a finger pointed right in his face.
ReplyDeleteIs Bristol going to stand by her man, or Sarah? There must be splodey heads splodin' in those households up there in Wasilla.
I'm sure that Donald is on Sara's enemy list now, but she gave so much public support that she can't come out and say it. I wouldn't be surprised if she is pulling Duhkota's puppet strings right now. I think she thought tRump would pick her as VP.
DeleteEnter the song 'boom boom boom out go the lights' hahaha Sarah! Boo Hoo!
DeleteOnly Donald Trump could make Dakota Meyer look like the adult in the room.
ReplyDeleteI just was wondering why there is a pic of Dakota (weirdest name, sorry) on his instagram in fatigues at an air show. Is he still in the military? thanks
ReplyDeleteNah. GI Joe in his head.
DeleteEaccording to someone responding to exactly that question, since he is a MOH recipient, he can wear a uniform whenever/wherever he wants to.
DeleteNo idea if that is actually true.
NOTE; Not wearing his CAP. " I know that the only definition that matters is indoors vs outdoors in the regulation, He is considered outdoors and headgear MUST be worn."
DeleteIn the military there is no such thing as a cap or hat, we call it cover. So yes outside you must be under cover at all times. Inside cover should be off.
DeleteGlad to see Dakota take the honorable path and show support for the Khans. I'd be more impressed if he hadn't asked Trump to apologize but realize he's one of many who seem to think there's a way to normalize Trump's behavior. Trump has shown us who he is. Even if he apologized, something he says he never does, it would be a hollow, desperate, manipulative tool. Trump is a sociopath. It's well past time to marginalize him.

DeleteO/T - LOD just read breaking news that Meg Whitman is supporting Hillary, and will work for her and talk to her big R friends about backing her! Has he// frozen over?
ReplyDeleteMeg Whitman, Calling Donald Trump a ‘Demagogue,’ Will Support Hillary Clinton for President
DeleteMeg Whitman, a Hewlett Packard executive and Republican fund-raiser, said Tuesday that she would support Hillary Clinton for president and give a “substantial” contribution to her campaign in order to stop Donald J. Trump, whom she berated as a threat to American democracy.
“I will vote for Hillary, I will talk to my Republican friends about helping her, and I will donate to her campaign and try to raise money for her,” Ms. Whitman said in a telephone interview.
She revealed that Mrs. Clinton, the Democratic nominee, had reached out to her in a phone call about a month ago, one of the first indications that Mrs. Clinton is aggressively courting Republican leaders. While acknowledging she diverged from Mrs. Clinton on many policy issues, Ms. Whitman said it was time for Republicans “to put country first before party.”

Four years ago, I was hearing a lot of bad things having to do with the Romney campaign where when the vote came out there were some districts that were shockingly different from what they were anticipated to be. I’ve been seeing it and I’ve been hearing it a lot. The whole thing with voter ID identification I think is really – I mean people are going to walk in, they are going to vote 10 times maybe. Who knows? They are going to vote 10 times. I am very concerned and I hope the Republicans are going to be very watchful and I hope the authorities are going to be very watchful. Because I want to tell you – I believe it’s going to, just like Bernie Sanders ‘I said it was rigged,’ well it’s rigged here too believe me. So I just hope the Republicans are going to be very watchful."

DeleteKhizr Khan Is Trump’s Worst Nightmare As Gold Star Dad Hits Trump For Accepting Purple Heart
ReplyDeleteDuring an interview on CNN, Khizr Khan showed why he is Donald Trump's worst nightmare as he expressed the moral outrage of a decent man over Donald Trump's pocketing of a veteran's Purple Heart.
...The reason why Khizr Khan is such a problem for Trump is that he is a person of integrity who serves as a stark contrast to the person that the Republican Party has nominated for president. Mr. Khan is a Muslim-American who destroys every hateful stereotype that Donald Trump is running for president on.
The Republican Party’s worst nightmare is becoming a reality as the decent people of America are pushing back against Donald Trump.

I earned a Purple Heart in combat and I know many others who have as well. It's not something anyone 'wanted to get.' We earned them because our country asked us to.
ReplyDeleteIt's no surprise Donald Trump accepted a Purple Heart the 'easier' way today because that's the story of his life. He never sacrifices. He always has things handed to him.

Sarah Palin I know you read Immoral Minority. You've always spoke up abouts us vets whether it was just political or you meant it.
ReplyDeleteSarah Palin as they say, it is time to shit or get off the pot.
If you are not going to defend John McCain who picked you as his VP against Donald Trump's attacks calling him a loser POW as well as defend the Gold Star families, especially the Gold Star mothers from Donald Trump's hateful rhetoric then stop using us vets in your Facebook comments and your comments to the media as if you care about us. Stop wearing Red, White and Blue shirts, boots and hats if you stand with Donald and no more interviews standing in front of our American flag.
Trump has blackmailed McCain, with info Sarah gave him.

Prior to early 2016, Trump seemed to tout his ties to the Russian leader. Trump, a lifelong businessman, boasted of foreign policy experience based on his experience hosting the Miss Universe pageant in Moscow in 2013. For instance, during an interview with Fox News on May 6, 2016, Trump told host Bret Baier, "I know Russia well. I had a major event in Russia two or three years ago, Miss Universe contest, which was a big, big, incredible event. An incredible success."
ReplyDeleteBut the closeness Trump claims to Putin-era Russia has prompted questions from critics, including foreign policy professionals in both parties. The U.S. government sees Russia as a geopolitical rival and Putin in particular as a sometimes problematic force in international relations.
Trump’s seeming fondness for Putin has worried critics in both parties.

Sarah Palin is a proud Trump supporter, but you know who isn’t? The father of her previously-unwed-now married abstinence only advocate daughter Bristol’s now-legit-in-Republican-Jesus’-eyes daughter. Yes, while Sarah choo-choos around the country riding the Trump Train to Stupidville (with occasional hiatuses to help her precious little snowflake Track with his woman-beating and firearm problems), The Donald has managed to say something so terrible that Dakota Meyer — the guy who actually married Bristol Palin, mind you — was forced to be the voice of reason.

Khan slams Trump's Purple Heart comments: 'You did not serve'
The father of Capt. Humayun Khan, a Muslim American soldier killed in the Iraq War, on Tuesday criticized Donald Trump for his response after a military veteran presented the GOP nominee with a Purple Heart.
"A man comes to him, a veteran, so kindly, what a gracious man, hands him his Purple Heart. What he does: he receives it, thanks him, puts it in his pocket, later on pulls it out, 'I got this Purple Heart, so easy, I always wanted one,'" Khizr Khan said Tuesday on CNN.
"Donald Trump. You had the time. You did not serve.".....
“Man, that's big stuff,” Trump said Tuesday during his rally.
“I always wanted to get the Purple Heart — this was much easier. I'll tell you, it was such an honor.”
Khan on Tuesday lashed out at Trump, slamming the GOP nominee for his lack of empathy.
"You know what you should have done — and listen to me and I want his surrogates to listen to me. You should have pinned that back to that veteran's chest and should have hugged him and thanked him," Khizr Khan said.
"I'm just so upset at this lack of empathy, lack of common sense."
Trump was granted one medical and four educational deferments during the Vietnam war, which kept him out of the conflict, The New York Times reported Monday.
Khan also said he isn't looking for an apology from Trump for his comments about his son, but he wants the candidate to show some empathy. He said the GOP nominee doesn't "comprehend what is coming out of his month."
"Donald Trump: do you have any sense of decency?" he asked.

ReplyDeleteEric Trump says father apologized to Khans (but he hasn't)
Washington (CNN)
Eric Trump defended his father Tuesday from criticism for his treatment of the family of a slain Muslim US soldier and said that he had already apologized to the Khans and Gold Star families -- despite the fact that the senior Trump has pointedly declined to apologize.
Appearing on "CBS This Morning," Trump was pressed about his father's lack of apology for his criticism of the Khan family, even amid stinging bipartisan condemnation for his remarks.
The senior Trump has so far not apologized for his remarks toward the Khans, despite Eric Trump's claim.
"Would your father be willing to apologize and move on?" co-host Norah O'Donnell asked.
"I think that's a great question for him, and he has by calling them a hero," Trump responded. "In terms of the one question -- whether you've made a sacrifice -- I think my father has. Now, that's certainly n

Khizr Khan Is Trump’s Worst Nightmare As Gold Star Dad Hits Trump For Accepting Purple Heart
Khan said,
You saw an example of that lack of empathy and heartlessness again today. I hope. I hope. America is listening and watching. A man comes to him, a veteran, so kindly, what a gracious man, hands him his Purple Heart. What he does is he receives it, thanks him, puts it in his pocket. Later on, pulls it out. I got this Purple Heart, so easy. I always wanted one. Donald Trump, you had the time. You did not serve. You know what you should have done? Listen to me, and I want his surrogates to listen to me. You should have pinned that back to that veteran’s chest, and should have hugged him, and thanked him.
That is, I’m sorry. I’m shouting. I’m just so upset at this lack of empathy, lack of common sense. He wants to be the leader. The Commander-in-Chief of this United States of America? That is the thoughtfulness? He should have put that Purple Heart back. If he would have been sensible he would have known what it takes to earn that Purple Heart. That Purple Heart belongs to that person. That was the most gracious person that came and handed him the Purple Heart. He takes it in his pocket, and says very easy; I always wanted one. Well, you had your chance. You escaped. You dodged the draft, and now you want an easy Purple Heart in your pocket. You should have pinned it back. Even now, call that man. I want his surrogates to call that man, thank him, and put that Purple Heart back on that person’s chest.
.. Donald Trump is not a decent person. He feels entitled to the Purple Heart....
