Former Trump foreign policy adviser Carter Page admits that he totally went to Russia in 2016 to meet government officials.

What else do you want to know? Want the password to my wifi? How about my social security number?
Courtesy of the New York Times:

Carter Page, a foreign policy adviser to the Trump presidential campaign, met Russian government officials during a July 2016 trip he took to Moscow, according to testimony he gave on Thursday to the House Intelligence Committee.

Shortly after the trip, Mr. Page sent an email to at least one Trump campaign aide describing insights he had after conversations with government officials, legislators and business executives during his time in Moscow, according to one person familiar with the contents of the message. The email was read aloud during the closed-door testimony.

The new details of the trip present a different picture than the account Mr. Page has given during numerous appearances in the news media in recent months and are yet another example of a Trump adviser meeting with Russians officials during the 2016 campaign. In multiple interviews with The New York Times, he had either denied meeting with any Russian government officials during the July 2016 visit or sidestepped the question, saying he met with “mostly scholars.”

Mr. Page confirmed the meetings in an interview on Friday evening, but played down their significance.

“I had a very brief hello to a couple of people. That was it,” he said. He said one of the people he met was a “senior person,” but would not confirm the person’s identity.

So not only did Page go to Russia while actively working with the Trump campaign, but he emailed folks in the campaign to give them a status report.

Maybe it's just me but that does not sound like the official talking points from the campaign.

By the way for Carter Page to openly admit that he made his trip and told Trump campaign personnel about it, but then be unwilling to identify who he met with, kind of makes it seem super important to find out who he met with.

Oh and while he was at it Page went ahead and confirmed that ole George Papadopoulos was telling the truth as well.

Carter Page acknowledged Friday that he was copied on an email chain in which fellow Trump campaign adviser George Papadopoulos suggested hooking the Trump team up with Russian government officials.

“I was one of many people on that email chain,” the perpetually chatty Page told CNN’s Jake Tapper in an on-air interview.

Robert Mueller must love this guy.

This moron was associating with two Russian criminals who were later convicted here in the USA. They called him a useful idiot.

I truly belief the sole reason for Trump pardoning Sheriff Joe was to send a message that if you stand by him during the Russia investigation and defy the government, then Trump will pardon you too.

Page is on Team Trump; he will take out George Papadopoulos and probably Sessions in exchange for a Trump pardon.

An admission of guilt, no matter HOW it’s spun.

    2. He won’t get one.

The only way any of these assholes will get pardons is if they LIE and cover Trump’s ass and then are found guilty of perjury. Then he might pardon them. But no one that turns on Trump or in any way gives testimony that supports the Mueller investigation or confirms the Russian ties will get a pardon. Trump will wash his hands of them.

I’m surprised these assholes are too stupid to realize this. Trump demands personal loyalty to him at any cost but provides no loyalty in return.

There aren’t going to be any pardons. Not even for Jared. Trump may try to pardon himself and if Ivanka is involved in anything, she’ll get one too. Other than that, they can all go to hell.

"And, you know, you can talk all you want about Russia, which was all a, you know, fake news, fabricated deal, to try and make up for the loss of the Democrats and the press plays right into it. In fact, I saw a couple of the people that were supposedly involved with all of this — that they know nothing about it; they weren’t in Russia; they never made a phone call to Russia; they never received a phone call...

QUESTION: (inaudible) clarification here. During your campaign, did anyone from your team (inaudible) Russian government or Russian intelligence? And if so, what was the nature of those conversations (inaudible)? TRUMP: The failing New York Times wrote a big, long front-page story yesterday. And it was very much discredited, as you know. It was — it’s a joke. And the people mentioned in the story, I notice they were on television today saying they never even spoke to Russia. They weren’t even a part, really — I mean, they were such a minor part. They — I hadn’t spoken to them.

I think the one person — I don’t think I’ve ever spoken to him. I don’t think I’ve ever met him. And he actually said he was a very low-level member of I think a committee for a short period of time. I don’t think I ever met him. Now, it’s possible that I walked into a room and he was sitting there, but I don’t think I ever met him. I didn’t talk to him ever. And he thought it was a joke.

The other person said he never spoke to Russia; never received a call. Look at his phone records, et cetera, et cetera. And the other person, people knew that he represented various countries, but I don’t think he represented Russia, but knew that he represented various countries. That’s what he does. I mean, people know that.

That’s Mr. Manafort, who’s — by the way, who’s by the way a respected man. He’s a respected man. But I think he represented the Ukraine or Ukraine government or somebody, but everybody — people knew that. Everybody knew that.

So, these people — and he said that he has absolutely nothing to do and never has with Russia. And he said that very forcefully. I saw his statement. He said it very forcefully. Most of the papers don’t print it because that’s not good for their stories.

TRUMP: So the three people that they talked about all totally deny it. And I can tell you, speaking for myself, I own nothing in Russia. I have no loans in Russia. I don’t have any deals in Russia. President Putin called me up very nicely to congratulate me on the win of the election.

He then, called me up extremely nicely to congratulate me on the inauguration, which was terrific. But so did many other leaders, almost all other leaders from almost all of the country. So that’s the extent.

Russia is fake news. Russia — this is fake news put out by the media. The real news is the fact that people, probably from the Obama administration because they’re there, because we have our new people going in place, right now."

    1. “I have no loans in Russia.” IN or FROM?

Whatever. Mueller has Trump’s tax records. I’m sure his forensic accountants are following the money. They know how much Trump has, how much he’s borrowed and who he owes money to. *THAT* is what Trump is going to perjure himself on when asked the question.

  8. So, more perjury. First they didn’t and now they admit they did.

Can’t wait for Jeff Sessions to get on the hot seat. When is Mueller going to call him in for testimony? Sessions will wish he was back in front of Al Franken.

The majority of the public approve of Mueller’s job and believe there was Russian interference and/or collusion during the campaign on the part of the Trump campaign.

    Talk about an illegitimate presidency.

Meanwhile Trump is putting fascist judges in life time appointments and destroying our economy, deregulating everything in site, basically destorying our government and our Democracy. He can sell us out fast enough. National Parks/monuments/public lands — GONE. Protections for air, water, earth, wildlife, people — GONE. Constitutional rights? Well, he’s working on those but you can’t sue the banks any more. That’s a start.

Is anybody keeping track of the collusion dominoes that keep falling?
    I mean...
is there, like, a website showing all the Trump/Russia colluders?
    Is "colluders" even a word?

    I mean...
ya got Flynn, Donald Jr., Kushner, Sessions, Papadopoulos, Manafort and Ricky Gates, and now Carter Page.
    Did I leave anyone out?
See why I need a scorecard?

Is anyone out there creating a Trump associates/Russia collusion BINGO card?
    If not, why not?
