Donald Trump takes to Twitter to brag that all the best lawyers want to represent him in the Russia case. Wanna bet?

Yes, as we all know lawyers like nothing more than the fame and fortune they receive after losing a high profile case while representing a guilty client.
Clearly this constant refrain of "No Collusion!" can only be defined as the rantings of a madman at this point.

As are his attempts to smear Hillary and the Democrats by claiming they were the ones who colluded with the Russians to undermine our democracy.

As for Trump's claims that "many lawyers and top law firms" want to represent him, that was proven false when he was turned down by famed lawyer Ted Olson, and a number of others recently.

It is also rendered false by the fact that he just lost lead attorney John Dowd, and the only replacement he could find was Fox News conspiracy theorist Joseph diGenova. (And now he won't even be on the team, because he has too many "conflicts.")

By the way if you want to really understand just how long Trump has been a Russian asset I suggest you pick up the new book "Russian Roulette"  by David Corn and Michael Isikoff.

After you read that you will understand just how compromised this president is, and just who is actually running our country.

"RUSSIAN ROULETTE is a story of political skullduggery unprecedented in American history. It weaves together tales of international intrigue, cyber espionage, and superpower rivalry. After U.S.-Russia relations soured, as Vladimir Putin moved to reassert Russian strength on the global stage, Moscow trained its best hackers and trolls on U.S. political targets and exploited WikiLeaks to disseminate information that could affect the 2016 election.

The Russians were wildly successful and the great break-in of 2016 was no "third-rate burglary." It was far more sophisticated and sinister -- a brazen act of political espionage designed to interfere with American democracy. At the end of the day, Trump, the candidate who pursued business deals in Russia, won. And millions of Americans were left wondering, what the hell happened? This story of high-tech spying and multiple political feuds is told against the backdrop of Trump's strange relationship with Putin and the curious ties between members of his inner circle -- including Paul Manafort and Michael Flynn -- and Russia.

RUSSIAN ROULETTE chronicles and explores this bizarre scandal, explains the stakes, and answers one of the biggest questions in American politics: How and why did a foreign government infiltrate the country's political process and gain influence in Washington?" RR

Lewandowski can see Trump being his own Chief of Staff. Same goes for being his own lawyer, no one else could satisfy him, he may as well take the job.

I'm looking forward to the Stormy Daniel's interview with Anderson Cooper this evening. Did a little homework... catch up with the latest Karen McDougal interview with Anderson Cooper. This is the man Karen McDougal found attractive, it was his posture, that is the crowning glory for her. (Tahoe, July 2006}.

A Trump Tahoe interview: "What was harder for you, turning 60 or fatherhood at 60?" the writer asked Trump, just a few weeks into sexagenarian status. "Definitely turning 60," Trump replied. "The concept of fatherhood I've handled well. But I see friends of mine who are 60 and I go [expletive]! Sixty! That's getting up there. No question about it."

"Another porn star he supposedly met there came forward with allegations in 2016 that Trump kissed her and two friends without permission that weekend. And another woman still—a Playboy model named Karen McDougal—reportedly admitted to a secret tryst with Trump while in Tahoe that weekend."
"News reports gushed about the cornucopia on offer but never mentioned that Wicked Pictures also had a booth in the gift room. And at this particular freebie station, the porn studio's stars were on hand—dispensing bags filled with DVDs and other carnal goodies. It was here, among the pornographic handouts, that the future president is said to have made plans for late-night escapades."
" allegations of affairs. Of the 13 best-documented allegations of unwanted physical contact that women have made against Trump, stretching back to the 1980s, five of those alleged incidents occurred during a two-year span, from 2005 to 2006, that encompassed this weekend"

"Oh, I don't know," Kepcher responded. "I can't answer that one for you."
Then the writer turned the focus to Kepcher's famous boss, asking, "Is he really as hands-on with the golf as it seems?"

When is the White House Easter Egg Hunt? Barron must be looking forward to a kid event. He is often sheltered from events.

I can understand why no one would want a child hanging out with a cheating husband and father, the harasser of sex workers, porn star types and all women and children.

This Easter the featured family life story is when Barron came into the world, when he was welcomed home by his parents, his early months. His father was chasing porn at golf tournaments and various fronts he used to set up sex for his side pleasures. It is Trump's extension of his business, The Trump Organization, it has to be covered up because it was all so dark.

One poor woman was snared. She thought she had a love connection with rich Donald Trump because he was f_cking her and said the love words. They were adults that found a partner that did not use protection. I can't imagine in 2006 everyone that was easy would do it unprotected. That must have been special for Trump. His wife just gave birth to Barron, so he would know the ropes.

He probably has a system with his business that covers the women or children he knocks up.
He's all business and is good with doing deals.

"Trump couldn’t DiGenova and his wife because they are already representing other people involved in the investigation.
It is easy to laugh at Trump’s failures, but beneath the failure is a more ominous pattern of behavior. Trump makes decisions without getting information or thinking questions through. He is impulsive, and everything is a kneejerk reaction based on his mood.

A president who doesn’t do the proper due diligence before hiring a lawyer will also not do the work needed before imposing a tariff or launching military action against a foreign country." JASON EASLEY

THREAD/ Trump effectively has no lawyers:

    (1) McGahn is a witness against him.
    (2) He no longer trusts Cobb and discusses firing him.
    (3) Dowd resigned.
    (4) DiGenova and Toensing chose not to join the team.
    (5) Sekulow is more activist than lawyer.
    (6) Cohen is mired in scandal.

1/ Trump faces the biggest hurdle to the continuation of a presidency since Teapot Dome, and does so without effective legal counsel. That's dangerous for the nation—as it means he'll rely on radical advisors like Bolton, who'll give him non-legal avenues to escape his problems.

2/ Don McGahn has already refused a direct Trump order—to fire Mueller—and is a witness in Mueller's probe of Trump's effort to illegally influence and/or fire James Comey, Jeff Sessions, Christopher Wray, and Mueller himself. McGahn will ultimately have to testify against Trump.

3/ I can't see how McGahn can be an effective advocate for Trump when circumstances exist that could lead to him offering evidence to investigators or a grand jury that might result in his—temporary—client's impeachment (McGahn represents the Office of the President, not Trump).

4/ Stories this week revealed that McGahn wants to leave the administration—so in addition to being (one imagines) outside Trump's circle of trust for legal reasons, it's also clear he doesn't want anything more to do with Trump or the administration. He's playing out the string.

9/ Things are so bad that Trump is now tweeting about his inability to find an attorney, coming up with ridiculous excuses for why no one will represent him. This underscores how humiliated he is by the legal community's abandonment of him and how serious he knows this issue is.

What a sad, untrue little tweet this is.

The truth is that private attorneys avoid clients who are dead to rights and definitely going down, especially those whose downfall is partly based on their own lifelong inability to shut the hell up and stop being a recalcitrant child.

@11:53" I did an Atlantic article on exactly this subject, back in a very different era of American politics. In 1981, I published a book called National Defense, which was popular at the time and was excerpted in three installments in the magazine. One of the installments was called “The M-16: A Bureaucratic Horror Story,” and it included the origin story of the AR-15. That article was not previously available online, but my colleague Annika Neklason has just digitized it from the archives, and it’s now available."
"he AR-15 was newsworthy in those days mainly as the original civilian version of what became the U.S. military’s standard M-16 combat rifle." " it too often failed at the fundamental task of combat weaponry: killing troops on the other side. The M-16 jammed."
AR15>" If you are talking about .30-caliber [like a bullet used in the Army’s previous M-14], this might remain stable through a human body. … While a little bullet, being it has a low mass, it senses an instability situation faster and reacts much faster. … this is what makes a little bullet pay off so much in wound ballistics.” "the AR-15, its bastard offspring M-16, the opposing AK-47—assumed as a first premise that they were talking about battlefield equipment."

AM Joy panel mocks Trump’s inability to hire lawyers: Nobody wants to work with ‘Yosemite Sam and My Cousin

...“He [Trump] cannot be trusted to say what a lawyer coaches him to say when he comes into the witness box,” Nance explained. “He has his own way of wanting to dominate the scene. First thing he does is, he lies just right out of the box, then he tries to dissemble. And then he uses some other form of disinformation. Finally he does this arrogant confession at the end of it. What lawyer would want to have to handle that?”

“Between him hiring Yosemite Sam and My Cousin Vinny, it’s amazing that he’s going to get anyone to work for him,” Nance quipped.

“Who else are Donald Trump and his folks talking to? Because he’s running out of people to call in Washington, D.C,” Reid remarked.
