Holy Shit You've Got to Vote. (NSFW, duh.)

I agree with everything in this song.

The folks at Funny or Die have translated what the President of Mexico was "really" saying during that press conference with Donald Trump.

I know this is comedy, but I would not be surprised to learn that this is not a fairly close translation to what President Nieto was thinking during that press conference, even if he did not say it out loud.

Bristol Palin, aka Nancy French, wants you to know she did not laugh once at that Funny or Die parody of the doctored Planned Parenthood videos.

So this is the Funny of Die video, which in my opinion is pretty damn good.

So good in fact that it has several conservatives upset that it is making a mockery of their attempts to get people really incensed about Planned Parenthood so that they can convince their governors to defund them in their states.

And one of those conservatives is the Sarah Palin paid, Bristol Palin impersonating, Nancy French.

(Wait, is that THREE conservatives?)

Anyhow she put on her best Silence of the Lambs inspired Bristol Palin skin suit and wrote this pouty response: 

Making fun of people who are speaking out for unborn babies, against murdering them and selling their parts is so lame. (Yeah guys it's SO lame!) Imagine if this video was made making fun of abolitionists who wanted to end slavery or civil rights activists working to end segregation. 

The fact of the matter is that Funny or Die has made a clear choice: they support death. They support tearing apart babies’ arms and legs and selling them for a price. “It’s a matter of line items” they say. 

French then links to an article over at the Washington Post, French's now go to newspaper it seems, that through some rather convoluted means tries to poke holes in Planned Parenthood's contention that they only spend 3% of their budget on abortion services. 

Brancy finishes up her tantrum thusly:

Funny or Die has not only chosen to support the death of innocent, they have chosen to mock it. 

They should rename themselves a more accurate title: “We Think It’s Funny Babies Die.”

You can almost hear her stomping her feet as she writes this can't you?

Gee it must be really frustrating when you create a bullshit meme by releasing doctored videos, and then some other group casually sticks a pin in it with just one humorous video.

The women of "Funny or Die" apologize for that craptastic "Apology" anti-abortion ad featuring overbearing Christian men.

You all may recognize Baldy McControl Women's Vajajays there from my post last weekend.

I had a lot of fun pointing out how absurd it was for these men to be apologize for not forcing women to give birth to their demonic offspring.

And now the brilliant folks over at Funny or Die have also weighed in on the advertisement as well.

"I watched a terrible video," the first woman, Amanda One, says. 

 "I watched a very insulting video," offers Jennifer. 

"It's a bad video," says Amanda Two. 

The FOD ladies point out that the guys aren't the ones who actually had abortions and it's kind of ... odd?... that they insist that they did. 

"I didn't have an abortion," Amanda Two says. "And I wouldn't say that I had an abortion if I didn't personally have an abortion." 

"I'm sorry that video exists," Amanda One says. 

"I'm sorry it's so easy to make videos," Jennifer agrees. 

"Any fool can just grab a camera, say some stuff and make some women feel bad," Amanda Two says pensively.

The women go on to point out that the men were specific enough about their past female partners for some to possibly identify who they were talking about,  and that they might suffer embarrassment or harassment because of that.

Not that these men care. After all for them it is all about the fetus.

Speaking of the President, guess who won an Emmy last night?

Okay technically it was Between Two Ferns that won the Emmy, but it was the President's performance that clearly won the day. (I mean let's face it Galifianakis is a hack.)

You know I looked, and looked, and looked, and I simply could not find the nomination for the Sarah Palin Channel anywhere.

Speaking of the Emmy's Sarah Silverman also won last night for her comedy show, and being an Atheist her acceptance speech was a little different: 

“We’re all just made of molecules, and we’re hurtling through space right now.”

Nice. And accurate.

Damn that was good!

I watched this with my daughter yesterday which brought back memories, because when she was just three years old this was her favorite movie, and it played non-stop at my house any time she was with me.

In fact that was how I knew that she was somewhat brighter than the average child when I discovered that she could rewind the movie and play it on her own if I was too busy or too slow to do it for her.

This is actually the first time I have seen any version of the movie that has not caused my PTSD to kick in.

President Obama subjects himself to an interview with Zach Galifianakis in order to promote the Affordable Care Act. Now this is commitment.

If any of you have ever seen these "Between Two Ferns" interviews you know that their hook is that they demonstrate an extremely uncomfortable interview where insults fly like poison darts between Galifianakis and his interview subject.

It is not for the faint of heart, or for those without a well developed sense of humor.

I think the President did very well, and the fact that he went on this show, which is much loved by younger Americans, demonstrates that he is willing to do just about anything to convince people that the Healthcare.org website is working well, and that it is in their best interests to sign up for the Affordable Care Act.

And it appears to be working.

The video was created to support Tie The Knot, an advocacy organization founded by actor Jesse Tyler Ferguson, of Modern Family fame, who also stars in the PSA, and his fiancee Justin Mikita. The group is “advocating for a more stylish and equal America,” according to its slogan, by selling bow ties and donating the proceeds to other advocacy groups fighting for marriage equality. 

In the video, Takei warns of one person “whose orientation threatens to destroy society.” He “looks normal, but he gives off clues of his prejudice with buzzwords like ‘pro-family,’ ‘traditional marriage’ or ‘pole-smoker.’” The PSA highlights to hypocrisy of a character who has been divorced twice but wants to deny the right of other people to marry just because they happen to be the same sex.

I laughed so hard at the end of this that I almost choked. 

Very well done! And George Takei's completely deadpan voice-over is perfect!

Chris Matthews broadcasts Funny or Die clip poking fun at Snowdrift Snooki's need for media attention.

Personally I thought this Funny or Die skit with Gina Gershon was BRILLIANT. (Which is why I posted the original Funny or Die clip back on the February 8th.)

And I don't know how the rest of you feel but seeing a Sarah Palin lookalike saying, "Of course Trig wasn't mine!", on national television kind of makes the hairs on the back of my arms stand up.

Someday I hope to hear the REAL Grizzled Mama have to admit that exact thing on national television.  But for now just hearing Gina Gershon, playing Sarah Palin, say it will have to suffice.
