When even Fox News cannot swallow the idea that there is nothing to the Russia story, that is pretty much game over.

Between its “Fox and Friends” morning show and Sean Hannity at night, Fox News has become a haven for those who think this whole Russia thing is nonsense. On Friday morning, Steve Doocy even declared that “the Russia story is starting to fall apart.” 

But on Friday afternoon, a Fox host went off on the Trump administration's handling of Russia in a way we've rarely seen. 

Here's the transcript: 

"We’re still not clean on this, Chris [Wallace]. If there’s nothing there — and that’s what they tell us, they tell us there’s nothing to this and nothing came of it, there’s a nothingburger, it wasn’t even memorable, didn’t write it down, didn’t tell you about it, because it wasn’t anything so I didn’t even remember it — with a Russian interpreter in the room at Trump Tower? If all of that, why all these lies? Why is it lie after lie after lie? If you clean, come on clean, you know? My grandmother used to say when first we practice to — Oh what a tangled web we weave when first we practice to deceive. The deception, Chris, is mind-boggling. And there are still people who are out there who believe we’re making it up. And one day they’re gonna realize we’re not and look around and go, Where are we, and why are we getting told all these lies?"

Now to be fair Shep Smith is like an oasis of responsible journalism in a desert of Right Wing talking points over at Fox, but Chris Wallace is right there with him.

And they are not alone.

In a column published Thursday night, Krauthammer said that the "Russian scandal has entered a new phase, and there's no going back." 

Krauthammer, a Fox News contributor, wrote that he has long been a skeptic of charges of collusion between the Trump campaign and the Russian government, but that he was "open to empirical evidence." 

Following a revelation this week about emails between Donald Trump Jr. and a business associate who helped arrange a meeting with a Kremlin-connected lawyer, Krauthammer wrote that the "evidence is now shown." 

"This is not hearsay, not fake news, not unsourced leaks," Krauthammer wrote. "This is an email chain released by Donald Trump Jr. himself."

Now Sean Hannity, Steve Doocy, and those airheads on Fox and Friends are simply NEVER going to admit that this president is a liar and that he colluded with the Russian government to steal an election, but for a growing segment of Fox News viewers those facts are starting to become unavoidable.

Donald Trump congratulates Australian Prime Minister on their superior single payer health care system on day that Republicans vote to repeal Obamacare.

While answering questions about the House of Representatives' vote to repeal and replace the Affordable Care Act Thursday, Trump said Australia's health care system was better than the one in the US.

"Deductibles are going to come down. It's going to be fantastic health care," Trump said of the Republican-backed American Health Care Act. "Right now Obamacare is failing." 

"I shouldn't say this to our great gentleman and my friend from Australia, because you have better health care than we do," Trump continued. "We're going to have great health care very soon."

Actually no we won't, as explained by Sherrod Brown in multiple tweets listing the  preexisting conditions that will cause your health care costs to go through the roof under Trumpcare.

However if Trump and his Republican sycophants want to discuss the possibility of a single payer heath care system I think they will find plenty of eager Democrats willing to work that out with them.

After all even Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer believes that will be where all of this ends up: 

"We had seven years of ObamaCare, a change in expectations, and I would predict in less than seven years we'll be in a single-payer system." 

Considering how freaked out the Republicans were about Obamacare, can you even begin to imagine how hysterical they will be when the country forces them to vote on a single payer system?

Bill O'Reilly refers to celebrities not wanting to perform at Trump inauguration as "reverse McCarthyism."

During Bill O’Reilly’s Talking Points segment this evening, the Fox News host took aim at the entertainment industry, claiming that it is putting pressure on individual entertainers to not appear at Donald Trump’s inauguration. 

After noting that the short list of acts performing so far, O’Reilly then brought up how previous inaugurations, noting that the contentious election of George W. Bush didn’t stop major musical artists from showing up. 

He then went on to compare the industry to Joseph McCarthy. 

“The harsh truth is that there is reverse McCarthyism going on in the entertainment industry,” O’Reilly stated.

After O'Reilly made this ridiculous claim he had Charles Krauthammer on who essentially said to O'Reilly's face that it was a ridiculous claim.

That's right, Charles Krauthammer was the voice of reason.

Celebrities are not avoiding the inauguration because they fear being ostracized.

They are avoiding the inauguration because they do not want to be party to the rise of a demagogue.

I am sure they would have refused to appear at a Hitler rally as well. 

Besides I thought the Trump campaign's new talking point was that they don't need no stinking celebrities anyhow?

Of course that would make it hard to explain why Trump then feels the need to post this tweet:

Palin then provides a link to Limbaugh's site which I refuse to put here because, you know, ick. But suffice it to say that he rants and produces prodigious amounts of spittle in response to the idea that Obama might create a policy not to send the Mexican parents of young American children back across the border while leaving them behind to fend for themselves.

But Palin knows all about this because she paid someone to write an op-ed (Warning Breitbart!) for her once and put her name on it:

As I explained in op-eds many months ago, this is clearly an impeachable offense and really should be the last straw because it’s a direct assault on the suffering American worker of all races and backgrounds. Though I was mocked for saying so at the time, now others are finally agreeing that this is an impeachable offense.

By "folks" Palin means Charles "I left my neck in my other suit" Krauthammer, who took time off from playing every ghoul in every horror movie made in the last twenty years, to also claim that Obama could be impeached over this decision. 

But wait, Palin is not finished flapping her highly infectious mouth sores quite yet:

I'm not sure why Palin is in Florida, though it may be a great place to pick up yet another gaudy Star of David to wear while talking about how liberals are destroying Christmas. 

Whatever the reason it is a sure bet that it is not for a photo-op with young brown children, or their hard working but not quite yet officially American parents.

By the way let me just say again that I am 100% behind any plans the Republicans have to impeach President Obama.

If they want to take a purely partisan vote to impeach a President for doing the job that Congress refuses to do, then more power to them.

Especially considering that impeaching him for trying to solve the immigration problem would have the effect of energizing the Hispanic American voters in this country like we have never seen before.

But hey, who am I to tell the Republicans who they should or should not impeach.

After all it worked to completely destroy the reputation of this guy.

Fox News contributor, Charles Krauthammer, tells the Republicans that "the clock has run out on Benghazi."

Charles Krauthammer, an influential conservative commentator, on Wednesday told Republicans to give up on Benghazi. 

"Politically speaking the administration has won. They ran out the clock. If we had a select committee from the beginning, really had coherent hearings unlike what we’ve had, which were disjointed hearings that let all things sort of slip away, we really would have been somewhere. We would have gotten to the bottom of this. But as a political fact, this thing is done," he said on Fox News about congressional Republicans' many investigations into how the Obama administration handled the attack on the U.S. diplomatic mission in Benghazi, Libya. 

Sens. John McCain (R-AZ), Kelly Ayotte (R-NH) and Lindsey Graham (R-SC) on Wednesday held a press conference on Benghazi. Last month, the same three senators called for a Select Committee to investigate Benghazi, but Krauthammer said it's time for them to let it go. 

"Unfortunately you only have a certain amount of time, a certain amount of attention, and the clock has run out on Benghazi," he said Wednesday.

Of course Krauthammer claims that if the Republicans had simply been more aggressive in the beginning they would have found something. However the truth is, and has always been, that there was nothing for them to find.

Personally I hope that the Republicans keep on worrying that Benghazi bone, and that they use that as their central attack against Hillary in 2016.

After all, what else have they got?

Oh yeah, Bill had an affair 25 years ago.

Good luck with that GOP.

P.S. Does anybody else think that Krauthammer looks like something that lurches out of the dark in a horror movie? Or am I the only one he creeps out?

In response to the New York Times calling BS on Right Wing conspiracy theories on Benghazi, they have been driven even further around the bend.

The New York Times published a comprehensive report over the weekend on last year’s attack in Benghazi, and it’s arguably the most detailed account any major news organization has completed on what transpired in Libya in September 2012. 

The report also appears to have driven some Republicans bonkers. 

GOP conspiracy theories surrounding Benghazi have long been something of a sideshow – after multiple, independent investigations, none of the far-right allegations have been substantiated in the slightest. But the NYT’s account discredited the far-right theories even more thoroughly, effectively ending the debate, such as it was. 

That said, watching the concerted effort to defend the conspiracy theory with an even more elaborate conspiracy theory is rather alarming. 

Charles Krauthammer asserted Monday that the New York Times was driven to conduct a months-long investigation into the deadly attack in Benghazi, Libya solely to give political cover to Hillary Clinton and her fellow Democrats – a year after the influential conservative bemoaned the lack of media coverage on the attack. 

Krauthammer was backing a baseless claim floated by Reps. Mike Rogers (R-MI) and Lynn Westmoreland (R-GA). Westmoreland accused the Times of “laying the groundwork” for a Clinton presidential bid, while Rogers said he found the timing of the report “odd.” 

The Republican pundit believes it’s “quite obvious” that the New York Times “invested all the effort and time in this and put it on the front page is precisely a way to protect the Democrats, to deflect the issue, to protect Hillary, who was exposed on this issue as almost no issue in her tenure in the administration. It is obviously a political move.” 

Noting that Times editorial page editor Andrew Rosenthal explained how baseless the allegations against the paper really are, Krauthammer added that Rosenthal “being defensive” only bolsters the new conspiracy further. 

It’s one thing for conservative activists to desperately search for new ways to keep their rallying cry alive, but for high-profile Republican lawmakers and pundits to embrace loony-tunes ideas without shame or embarrassment is unsettling.

You know it would be unsettling if it weren't all too predictable. 

The Right was really convinced that they could use Benghazi against Hillary in 2016. Having it explode in their faces is like going all in on a hand of poker only to learn that the guy on your left is holding a full house.

Without Benghazi they really do not have anything to hang onto.

Therefore it is not surprising that they are refusing to let go.

If other news agencies are reporting there is no scandal they are covering for the administration. If people on the ground report that things did not happen the way Fox News has reported it did, they are lying. And if others claim there is no evidence of al-Qaeda involvement it is becasue they using the definition of al-Qaeda too narrowly.

A couple of years ago I might have been unsettled by Right Wing's inability to recognize that a conspiracy lacked credibility, but those days are long gone.

Today it is just par for the course. And to be honest I would be surprised if they WEREN'T working so hard to breathe fresh life into Benghazi. 

Conservative columnist and Fox News contributor Charles Krauthammer asks of Ted Cruz, "Where is he now?"

Conservative columnist Charles Krauthammer continued his criticism of Sen. Ted Cruz on Thursday, asking, “Where is he now?” 

“How exactly was he going to achieve abolition of Obamacare? Explain that to me. Has he ever explained it? And where is he now?” Krauthammer said on “The Laura Ingraham Show.” 

Krauthammer, who has previously hit Cruz (R-Texas) on the strategy of shutdown to defund Obamacare, included Sen. Mike Lee (R-Utah) in his questioning and said the two went home to “have lunch.” 

“I mean his sidekick, Sen. [Mike] Lee said, ‘Oh, we’re past Obamacare. We moved on.’ These are the generals who lead people into the Battle of [the] Little Bighorn and then go home and have lunch and leave the troops out there? Where are they? Where are the generals? What’s their strategy to get abolition of Obamacare?” Krauthammer said. 

Krauthammer did emphasize while he is on the ideological side of repealing Obamacare, there was no strategy laid out by Cruz. “I argued [to repeal Obamacare] in ’09 and ’10. 

I argued it every week in my writing, on television … all of us were in the trenches. Cruz arrives on the scene and pretends he’s just begun the fight against Obamacare,” Krauthammer said. 

He continued, “I’ve been calling this the ‘kamikaze brigade’… ‘the suicide caucus.’ I’m all for charging the barricades, but you’ve got to show me how to penetrate them. … And people are saying Republicans are in retreat. They’re not in retreat, there never was a way to abolish Obamacare now,” Krauthammer said. 

Once again I rarely agree with Krauthammer on anything, but he is certainly dead on in this instance. 

However what I think Krauthammer is missing is that Cruz could NOT care less about "the troops" he left on the field. Everything he does is all ABOUT Ted Cruz, all FOR Ted Cruz, and is only meant to BENEFIT Ted Cruz.

Cruz sees himself as leading his own contingent of troops who are only minimally connected to the Republican party, and if the party is not okay with that he probably believes he can launch a coup and take control of the Republican party.

Hmm, I wonder if they well popcorn in bulk?

Fox News pundit calls the Republican's effort to defund Obamacare a "suicide caucus."

Pulitzer Prize-winning conservative columnist and regular Fox News panelist Charles Krauthammer warned over the weekend that Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) was leading Republicans on a “suicide” mission to defund President Barack Obama’s health reform law with an attempted government shutdown. 

Over the past month, Cruz has been joined Sen. Mike Lee (R-UT) and the Heritage Foundation in insisting that Republicans pass no continuing resolutions to fund the government unless the president agrees to repeal or defund the Affordable Care Act. 

“It would be over a cliff for the GOP,” Krauthammer said on Sunday’s edition Inside Washington. “I admire the sincerity and the passion of those who don’t want to pass the budget unless you get rid of Obamacare, but it is utterly impossible in the real world. And the only thing it will do is to undo all the gains the Republicans have made over the past year, and undo their very real chances of having great successes next year.” 

“I think it’s a suicide caucus, and I hope enough of them will realize that so that [House Speaker John Boehner] will have a majority, even if it’s a bare majority, to pass a continuing resolution,” he added.

I don't often agree with Krauthammer on much of anything, but occasionally he is dead right on an issue and this is one of those times.

The only question to ask is are the Right Wing nutjobs willing take the noose from around their necks and listen? I bet you know what I think.

Michelle Malkin, Right Wing firebrand and official crazy person, agrees that Obama IS responsible for Republican infighting. Seriously?

Conservative commentator Michelle Malkin stopped by Fox & Friends Saturday morning to agree with her Republican colleague Charles Krauthammer about the “internal civil war” within the GOP. Malkin called it “obvious” that President Obama‘s strategy was to “drive a wedge” between Republicans.

According to Malkin, Obama and the White House have “narrative setters in the liberal media” who are “raring” to blame Republicans for a fall over the fiscal cliff. She claimed, “House Republican conservatives who are holding the line aren’t going to get what they want.” 

Malkin criticized some of her fellow Republicans saying there is now a split between “House conservative Republicans and House ‘capitulationist’ Republicans.” According to her, Mitch McConnell and Harry Reid will sit down later today to attempt a compromise and that’s “never a good thing.” She continued accusing Obama of setting up the GOP war, claiming, 

“If they don’t come up with something, again that wedge gets driven further and Obama can sit in the catbird seat and blame, blame, blame Republicans for their obstructionism.”

So once again we hear how this completely incompetent  un-American pretender to the Presidency, is suddenly now considered so diabolical that he has single-handedly destroyed the Republican party by pitting Teabaggers against the establishment Republicans until they kill each other off.

You know, if this were true I would be organizing a grass roots political campaign to give the man a THIRD term in office. However I think it removes the responsibility of these idiots for sending political illiterate paint chip eaters to Washington to obstruct progress, and who are now bitching that the progress has been obstructed!

After all what in the hell did these morons think would be the outcome of handing power over to a group of people who had, at least for a while, chosen Sarah Palin as their honorary leader?

Conservative columnist claims that President Obama is responsible for "internal civil war" among Republicans.

Sean Hannity brought Charles Krauthammer on his show tonight to discuss President Obama‘s role in the ongoing fiscal cliff negotiations. Both Hannity and Krauthammer agreed that Obama has been to hardline in trying to negotiate with Republicans, but Krauthammer gave the president some credit for managing to effectively tear the GOP in half over whether or not they can compromise with Obama on raising tax rates. 

Hannity sardonically celebrated Obama’s return from his Hawaiian vacation to deal with the impending cliff. Krauthammer admitted he doesn’t “begrudge [Obama] his holiday,” but he does have an issue with how the president has been dealing with the fiscal cliff negotiations. He did, however, give Obama his due credit for a stunning accomplishment amidst the ongoing talks. 

“He’s been using this, and I must say with great skill–-and ruthless skill and success–to fracture and basically shatter the Republican opposition… His objective from the very beginning was to break the will of the Republicans in the House, and to create an internal civil war. And he’s done that.” 

Krauthammer said Obama has been pushing the GOP since winning reelection to focus on raising tax rates because he knew it would be a sore subject between differing factions of his Republican opposition, and his interest in scoring a partisan political victory outweighs his desire to seriously deal with the national debt.

Okay look as you know I have already been VERY impressed with this President. But if he is actually manipulating the Republicans as Krauthammer claims, while at the same time THEY were doing everything in their power to discredit him and block his policies, then I am ready to bestow Godhood status on the man.

It would essentially make him one of the greatest Presidents, not to mention Democrats, in American history!

Fox News contributors still turning on Palin: "A half term Governor? I am not sure Republicans think of her as qualified."

On Friday’s broadcast of “Inside Washington,” (Charles) Krauthammer offered several reasons why Palin shouldn’t be considered the presumptive Republican nominee for the 2012 presidential election.

“What do you mean if not Sarah Palin in 2012?” Krauthammer said. “Who’s saying she’s going to be the presidential candidate? I don’t even hear her saying it. Her chances of being are smaller than half a dozen other people. If you talk to Republicans, I don’t think there are what, more than one in three who would tell you she has a chance of winning the presidency or even the nomination.”

Because of that, he said, she wasn’t the favorite.

“And she is not the favorite,” he continued. “She has a very strong core constituency but outside of that I think she is rather weak.”

“Her negatives are over 50 percent,” Krauthammer said. “She has no chance of winning a general election. Why would you want a candidate who is going to lose against a Democrat who is going to be vulnerable and who is also extremely ideologically ambitious?”

“A half-term governor? I’m not sure Republicans think of her as qualified.” Krauthammer said.

Now THAT is the kind of "feel good" news story with which to kick off the new year!

By the way, while we are on the subject of Palin I thought I would revisit the whole "Primaries for Palin" Trojan horse that I posted about yesterday

One of my associates is an internet sleuth extraordinaire and they managed to quickly dig up some very interesting, and troubling facts about the people who are behind this site.

First the domain name was registered on November 17, to a group identified as Whoisguard.

And just WHO is Whoisguard?  Interesting that you should ask.

WhoisGuard operated on both sides of the coin. Their service is to protect the site owner real identity and address. But, if the site owner is a scammer, their real identity and address is also protected.

That is why some potential scamming sites (like paid-to-click/ptc) opts for WhoisGuard service to protect their own skin. Once their site is open to membership and they have collected enough money from their members, they would disappeared. The sad part is that, those who got scammed have no better way to trace the real site owner and if they really insist, they have to go through WhoisGuard. And it can be quite a hassle.

Now of course this does not PROVE that this site is a lame ass attempt to recruit the more ignorant liberals amongst us, but if your bullshit meter is not going off by now than you have no business even visiting this blog.
