An image attempting to bring us up to date on Donald Trump's many scandals. tweets, and gaffes.

Of course there are literally new bombshells being revealed every day so I am positive this is outdated. (Here is a cheat sheet which is also probably not up to date.)

Welcome to October folks.

Donald Trump doubles down on his claim that President Obama is the founder of ISIS. "I’m a truth teller. All I do is tell the truth." Update!

Courtesy of New York Magazine:

On Thursday morning, Trump repeated his claim that Barack Obama is both the “founder of ISIS” and the terrorist organization’s “Most Valuable Player” (although Obama shares that prestigious award with Hillary Clinton).

“Do you think it’s appropriate to call the sitting president of the United States the founder of a terrorist organization that wants to kill Americans?” Trump was asked on CNBC’s Squawk Box.

“He was the founder of ISIS. Absolutely,” Trump replied. “Why is there something wrong with saying that? Why, are people complaining that I said he was the founder of ISIS?”

Trump was then asked how he thought such rhetoric would play in battleground states.

“Whatever it is, it is,” Trump said. “I’m a truth teller. All I do is tell the truth. And if at the end of 90 days, I’ve fallen short … it’s OK. I go back to a very good way of life.”

Trump reiterated this sentiment later in the interview, when he was asked how he planned to catch up with Clinton in the polls.

“I just keep doing the same thing I’m doing right now,” Trump said. “And at the end, it’s either going to work or I’m going to have a very, very nice long vacation.”

Okay I think that it is now pretty clear that Donald Trump does not want to win this election.

That is the only explanation that I can come up for why he would continually make these inflammatory and bizarre statements.

Okay well there is one other possibility.

He is clinically insane.

Simple choice, self sabotage or insanity.

P.S. For those who are interested here is an article on the REAL founder of ISIS.

Guess who it is not about.

Update: Oh, so now it's sarcasm.
Trump repeated this "founder" charge at least nine or ten times, and at no point did he explain that it was sarcasm until a full two days later.

Okay everybody scootch over in the clown car, Rick Santorum has just donned his red nose and announced he is joining the GOP circus.

Courtesy of CNN:

Rick Santorum, the former Pennsylvania senator who mounted an unexpectedly strong bid for the Republican nomination in 2012, is making another bid for the White House.

Just what we need in 2016, another religious zealot, who hates progress, worships Ronald Reagan, and love the sound of his own voice.

The guy's a joke, but he is certainly not the only one running for the Republican nomination.

Here let's revisit some of the ridiculous things Santorum said that LAST time he lost the nomination.

Here he is on birth control:

"One of the things I will talk about, that no president has talked about before, is I think the dangers of contraception in this country.... Many of the Christian faith have said, well, that's okay, contraception is okay. It's not okay. It's a license to do things in a sexual realm that is counter to how things are supposed to be."

Demonstrating his diplomacy:

"All the people who live in the West Bank are Israelis, they're not Palestinians. There is no 'Palestinian.' This is Israeli land."

And trotting out a little racism:

"The question is — and this is what Barack Obama didn't want to answer — is that human life a person under the Constitution? And Barack Obama says no. Well if that person — human life is not a person, then — I find it almost remarkable for a black man to say, 'We're going to decide who are people and who are not people.'"

Oh yeah, he will make a fine addition to the clown car.

Hopeful 2016 GOP presidential candidate sends explosive thank you message to local Jewish voters.

"Duck Jews!" Sincerely Scott Walker
Courtesy of AOL:

Wisconsin Governor Scott Walker may want to try using spell check.

The union busting Republican politician tried and failed to wish a happy Chanukah in an undated letter to a local group representing Jewish voters.

"Thank you again and Molotov," said the letter.

The incendiary remark came in a reply to letter from Milwaukee attorney Franklyn Gimbel, according to The Cap Times. The letter is undated but believed to have been written prior to him being elected governor.

He likely meant to write "mazel tov," a common Jewish phrase.

Perhaps Walker is to be excused for this gaffe, as he is a Baptist and the only thing they want from the Jewish people is for two thirds of them to die off so that Jesus will come back.

Yet another prime example of the kind of intellect that the Republican party believes fit to run the country.

Leave to the brilliant John Oliver to remind us that we are not the only country with embarrassing politicians in power.

Actually I think Tony Abbott would fit quite nicely within the Republican party.

And he would not even have to change a single one of his views.

The folks at Pluto.TV have come up with their own answer to The Sarah Palin Channel.

Courtesy of Video Ink:

Shortly after the launch of Sarah Palin’s subscription digital video channel with Tapp, Pluto.TV has come up with an online video hub that offers a counterpoint. Their comedy channel, dubbed “#SarahFailin” (ch. 507 on Pluto.TV), hosts a steady stream of Palin’s best, worst TV moments.

From her infamous Katie Couric interview during her 2008 vice presidential run to clips from Palin parodies created by Funny or Die, The Young Turks, and “The Daily Show with Jon Stewart,” #SarahFailin has something for everyone who considers the Alaska-based political personality somewhat of a joke.

The channel will offer 24 hours of Sarah Palin, seven days a week, so you would think this would be a Palin-bots dream. Except that the channel finds the MOST embarrassing moments of Palin's public life and runs it in a constant loop. (To be honest while preparing this post I actually got sidetracked watching a segment on CNN of Palin being called out for something stupid she wrote on Facebook.  Very entertaining.)

You can watch for yourself by clicking here.

Hmm, I wonder if this most recent cry for attention is working out the way that Snowdrift Snooki thought that it would?

Australian politicians have apparently decided to try and out stupid American politicians. Oh it's on!

Courtesy of the Sydney Morning Herald:

“No one,” Tony Abbott told a Melbourne gathering of Liberal Party faithful, “however smart, however well-educated, however experienced … is the suppository of all wisdom”.

The Opposition Leader's travelling mentor, Philip Ruddock, squirmed and the Victorian MP Josh Frydenberg took a few seconds to register what his leader had said.

“Suppository?” Mr Frydenberg mouthed to a grey-haired man standing next to him. The man nodded gravely, perhaps recognising that Mr Abbott intended to say repository, a place where things are stored.

As so often happens these days with political gaffes, within 30 minutes the hashtag #suppository was trending on Twitter, accompanied by photo-shopped images of Mr Abbott with suppository-inspired captions (“know your enema”, “squeezing out a policy”, etc).

It didn't help that Mr Abbott's slip-up reminded people of Tony Windsor's claim that the Opposition Leader told him he would do anything to secure a minority government during negotiations after the last election, except "sell my arse".

Now of course this comes on the heels of the crazy One Party candidate who thought that Islam was a country.
"Okay look I quit, can we stop talking about it now?"

What's up Australia? First you show off your Sarah Palin wannabe, and now you have a George Bush impersonator?

Well give it up Australia, your politicians will NEVER out dumb America's politicians!

Have you forgotten about this guy?

That's right Aussies, we're number one! We're number one! We're number....wait.

Update: I wrote this post last night before bed, and thought that my comparison of Australian and American gaffes was brilliant and completely original, only to watch the Daily Show later that night to see this

"She's not just Sarah Palin, she's turbo Sarah Palin." Damn you John Oliver!

Welcome Back Mitt!

Gee I wonder when Romney's next "Look how Presidential I am" trip is planned? After all THIS one was such a success! (For the Obama campaign that is.)

Of course Romney does not have to go overseas to stick his foot in his mouth, according to a new report he can do the same thing right here in America:

Mitt Romney’s tax plan would be a boon for the wealthy, but a tax hike for 95% of Americans, according to a new nonpartisan study.

The report, by researchers from both the Brookings Institution and Tax Policy Center, examined Romney’s suggestion of an across-the-board 20% income tax cut financed by closing existing loopholes and concluded there was no way to make the numbers work without burdening the vast majority of Americans with higher taxes.

Romney has not said which tax breaks he would end to finance his plan, but he has suggested that he would only look to breaks that benefit the wealthy. The report concluded that notion is a fantasy no matter how it’s constructed: There simply are too many middle class tax breaks on the table to avoid skewing the burden against the average American.

Raising taxes on 95% of Americans? Hmm, now which political party was it again that has such a  difficult time with the idea of raising taxes?

Gee multiple gaffes overseas, policies that raise taxes here in America, millions of dollars squirreled away in overseas accounts, a refusal to let anybody see his tax returns, kind of makes you wonder what will end up being the defining image of Romney in the long run.

Don't tell me, I am sure it will come to me in a minute.
