"You will not have my hatred." Message from a Parisian man to the terrorists who murdered his wife.

YOU WILL NOT HAVE MY HATRED 

Friday night, you took an exceptional life -- the love of my life, the mother of my son -- but you will not have my hatred. I don't know who you are and I don't want to know, you are dead souls. If this God, for whom you kill blindly, made us in his image, every bullet in the body of my wife would have been one more wound in his heart. 

So, no, I will not grant you the gift of my hatred. You're asking for it, but responding to hatred with anger is falling victim to the same ignorance that has made you what you are. You want me to be scared, to view my countrymen with mistrust, to sacrifice my liberty for my security. You lost. 

I saw her this morning. Finally, after nights and days of waiting. She was just as beautiful as when she left on Friday night, just as beautiful as when I fell hopelessly in love over 12 years ago. Of course I am devastated by this pain, I give you this little victory, but the pain will be short-lived. I know that she will be with us every day and that we will find ourselves again in this paradise of free love to which you have no access. 

We are just two, my son and me, but we are stronger than all the armies in the world. I don't have any more time to devote to you, I have to join Melvil who is waking up from his nap. He is barely 17-months-old. He will eat his meals as usual, and then we are going to play as usual, and for his whole life this little boy will threaten you by being happy and free. Because no, you will not have his hatred either.

Jeb Bush's 1994 advice to women on welfare, "find a husband."

Jeb Bush insisted during his unsuccessful first run for the Florida governor's office that an alternative to welfare for women is to "find a husband." 

The Republican 2016 presidential contender's comments came in the heat of a 1994 campaign that has come back to haunt him -- particularly as he seeks to run an inclusive campaign aimed at broadening the GOP's appeal. 

That year, Bush, with a more strident style and in a different era in the debate over welfare reform, saw a controversial remark he made in July seized on by reporters and by his opponent. Bush said that marriage is one of three options for women to get off welfare assistance. 

"If people are mentally and physically able to work, they should be able to do so within a two-year period. They should be able to get their life together and find a husband, find a job, find other alternatives in terms of private charity or a combination of all three," Bush said.

Gee, I wonder if Jeb Bush ever told a man struggling to get a job that he needed to "find a wife?"

To be fair this remark may not seem like such a big deal, if we had not also recently learned that Jebbie suggested back in 1995 that a good way to keep women from having premarital sex, leading to babies born out of wedlock, was to publicly shame them.

Hey remember how I said that the 2016 presidential race would come down to Clinton vs Bush, unless something really damaging came out about one of both of them?

Yeah, I think Jeb Bush starting to stray into that territory.

Man brings home breakfast for his wife, she shoots him in the chest. Kinda ungrateful don't you think?

A woman in Fayetteville, N.C. allegedly shot her husband in the chest when he came home to surprise her with breakfast Friday morning, television station WTVD reported. 

Police said Tiffany Segule, 27, shot her husband, Zia Segule, 28, after he returned home to surprise her and set off their home's alarm system, the station reported. 

She had returned to bed after her husband left for work and thought there was an intruder, according to police. She fired a shot through her bedroom door, authorities told the TV station. 

The bullet hit her husband in the chest, but police told WTVD that he was able to walk and talk after being shot. He was released from the hospital hours after the incident.

As Wayne LaPierre  would say, "Just a good woman with a gun stopping a bad man with breakfast."

10 to 1 the husband bought her that gun for protection, and she then went and used it to put holes in him. Women!

Georgian police chief who shot his wife claims he did so in his sleep.

When I first posted this story yesterday I kind of thought it was a one time simple post that I would not really have to revisit again.

You know guy shoots wife, claims it was an accident, and will probably end up in jail.

Simple right?

Nope.

As it turns out police chief William McCollom's story is even more ridiculous than simply the fact that he claimed to have fired a gun at his wife twice by accident. He also claims he did this in his sleep.

This is from the newly released 911 tape presented courtesy of CNN:  

"Who shot her?" the 911 operator asked William McCollom, the police chief in Peachtree City, Georgia. 

"Me," McCollom replied. 

"How did you shoot her?" 

"The gun was in the bed, I went to move it, put it to the side, and it went off," McCollom said. 

"Is she awake?" 

"No, everybody was sleeping," McCollom said. 

"No, is she awake now?" "Yes," he said. 

Later in the call, the operator asked McCollom, "Were you asleep also when this happened?" 

"Yes," he said. 

I think my favorite part of this is when the operator asks "Is she awake now?"

You know I once was married to a woman who was an incredibly heavy sleeper, I mean nothing woke this woman up.

However I have to say that if I had shot her in her sleep that probably would have done the job.

So if this guy is telling the truth, he is saying that he literally sleeps with a hand gun in his bed and that, while he was asleep, he attempted to move it and it fired twice hitting his wife once.

Another interesting tidbit to add to the things that make you go "Hmmm," is the fact that this is the same woman that the police chief cheated on, divorced once, and is now recently back together with.
