Man starts Go Fund Me page to protect actress Betty White from 2016's angel of death.

As the past week brought news of deaths of George Michael and Carrie Fisher, people are fearing that 2016 might take the life of another beloved celebrity: Betty White. 

A user named Demetrios Hrysikos from South Carolina created a GoFundMe page to “protect” the Golden Girls actress from 2016. “Help 2016 catch these hands if it goes anywhere near Betty White,” Hrysikos wrote. “If she’s okay with it, I will fly to wherever Betty White is and keep her safe till Jan. 1, 2017.” 

People have donated as much as $100 to Hrysikos’ mission to keep White safe from the perils of 2016. The campaign has raised $2,146 as of Wednesday morning. 

(As of this post that amount has risen to $2,576.00.)

Personally I think there are worst causes in the world than protecting Betty White.

And to be honest I am not sure how many of these celebrity deaths we can take at this point.

Though I think we all agree there is at least one that might not break our hearts. (Okay that's probably just mean, right?)

P.S. I wrote this post yesterday before I learned that the grim reaper had been satisfied simply to take Princess Leia, he had to take her mother as well.

Maybe we should all just stand outside of Betty White's house and form a human shield against death.

We feel so grateful for you all right now! 

This will help us so much. Thank you for taking the time to see what we were up against and how over 7 years this was so draining, financially and emotionally to both of us. We appreciate each and every one of you. 

If you look on court view we are scheduled to be back in court , but this has nothing to do with the custody situation or child support. 

I'm going to raise the goal because of what these future costs might be, which as of right now we simply cannot predict.

We have always felt so alone in this. But now thanks to you all we feel less overwhelmed. 

And that is the greatest feeling.

As alluded to above Sunny just raised the limit to $10,000 which is the amount I wanted her to post in the first place.

However she really did not believe that people would help so she chose a smaller number so she would not be disappointed.

I guess she just failed to realize how awesome all of you are, didn't she?

It is important to once again note that in Sunny's message she points out that going back to court has NOTHING to do with custody or child support. That is important because what it signifies is that this is simply an ongoing attempt to bankrupt them and force them into compliance with the Palin's demands.

Somehow I have the feeling that after what they witnessed last night they are rethinking that strategy.

Hello everyone we are Levi and Sunny Johnston of Wasilla, Alaska. As we are sure many of you are aware we have been engaged in a long and rather protracted legal battle to retain custody of Levi's son Tripp. The good news is that it appears the custody situation is settled. The bad news is that we still owe many thousands of dollars in legal fees. 

 Unlike some we are not able to raise money through fundraising e-mails or SuperPACS and are instead asking for your help in paying these bills and allowing us to get back to the important job of raising our family. 

 Though feeling somewhat overwhelmed it had never occurred to us to ask for money using Go Fund Me, but after so many generous people reached out to us and offered their help we decided to swallow our pride and take them up on their extremely kind offers. 

 Anything that you can give would be much appreciated. And every dime will go toward attorney fees and the outstanding debts that we accrued during this long and very difficult legal battle.

Like I explained before, Levi and Sunny are very proud people, so this is not coming easy for them.

However I know that they are really struggling to pay the $1,700 child support payments, their attorney fees, their new mortgage, and to keep their children clothed and fed.

And as I mentioned earlier Bristol is simply not going to stop trying to nickel and dime Levi to death despite now having the custody situation resolved by the court.

I told Levi way back in the beginning that she would never stop trying to get him back in her life, break up his marriage, or at the very least shut him up for good.

Remember this is finally YOUR chance to do your part to stop the Palins from crushing yet another Alaskan family under their heel like they have done so many times before.

Make no mistake the custody situation is decided, so every filing that happens after the final papers were signed is all about making sure that Levi can never tell any truths that the Palins do not want told.

Period.
