Roy Moore was trounced last night in Alabama, but that does not mean he is ready to concede.

Man after listening to that speech you would think that God was running on the ticket right along with this accused pedophile.

Courtesy of AL.Com:

Roy Moore has frequently said, in social media posts, that he will never give up the fight.

And after he lost the Alabama Senate election on Tuesday to Democrat Doug Jones, Moore is sticking with that mantra -- refusing to concede the race to Jones.

He waited more than a hour after the race was called to address supporters in downtown Montgomery late Tuesday night, then told them to wait some more.

"Realize when vote is this close, it's not over and we still have to go by the rules," Moore told the crowd, which cheered when he appeared on stage.

Even as Moore refused to surrender, Alabama GOP Chair Terry Lathan issued a statement late Tuesday night acknowledging Jones' win -- concluding her statement with "now that this race has ended."

An automatic recount only comes into play if one candidate beats the other by less than 1 percent of the vote, but since Jones beat Moore by 1.5 percent that will not come into play here.

And if Moore thinks he will get any support from Donald Trump, well he has another think coming.
That Mr. Moore is known as being thrown under the bus. (Say hi to Reince Priebus, George Papadopolous, and Michael Flynn while you're down there.)

Now while we are all celebrating the people of Alabama (Actually the black people of Alabama.) for rejecting this teen girl assaulting asshole, keep in mind that over 650,000 Alabamans voted for his racist ass.

So perhaps we should keep the victory parade a little short, and then recognize that there is still much work to be done.

But as Julian Castro pointed out there are those who certainly need to be aware that something is coming.

After a month the Republican candidate for North Carolina governor has admitted that he lost the election.

Courtesy of Slate:

North Carolina Republican Gov. Pat McCrory finally admitted defeat on Monday, conceding to his Democratic rival, current state Attorney General Roy Cooper. In a video message, McCrory asserted that he has “continued questions” about possible voter fraud, but that “I personally believe that the majority of our citizens have spoken.” He noted that the election was “the closest North Carolina governor’s race in modern history.”

McCrory’s concession was not at all inevitable. Although he faced a deficit of more than 4,000 votes the morning after Election Day—a gap that has since grown to more than 10,000—he insisted that he might be the rightful winner. For weeks, McCrory alleged that rampant voter fraud swung the election to Cooper, launching a series of baseless challenges at county election boards in an effort to disqualify as many votes for Cooper as possible. Eventually, the Republican-controlled state election board ordered a recount in Democrat-heavy Durham County. By Monday morning, it was clear that the recount would not close McCrory’s deficit, likely spurring the governor to concede formally.

Just a reminder to all of the conservatives complaining about these recounts in Wisconsin, Michigan, and Pennsylvania, that McCrory refused to accept defeat for a month even though it was pretty clear that he lost the day after the election.

And it should also be noted that he made the accusation that there was voter fraud in North Carolina.

Gee maybe somebody should suggest a recount for president there as well.

Just a thought.

Hillary Clinton's concession speech.

Courtesy of CNN:

"I'm sorry." With those simple words, Hillary Clinton, who thought she would wake up Wednesday as the first woman president-elect but crashed to a stunning election defeat to Donald Trump, ended her White House quest and likely her political career.

The Democratic nominee unequivocally conceded the presidential race, and said that the Constitution requires a peaceful transfer of power.

"Last night, I congratulated Donald Trump and offered to work with him on behalf of our country. I hope that he will be a successful president for all Americans," Clinton said.

"Donald Trump is going to be our president. We owe him an open mind and a chance to lead," said Clinton, who was composed and dignified even as she admitted how painful her defeat was in her first public comments on the result of the election.

"This is not the outcome that we wanted and we worked so hard for, and I am sorry that we did not win this election," Clinton told supporters and campaign workers in New York.

"I know we have still not shattered that highest and hardest glass ceiling, but someday, someone will, and hopefully sooner than we might think right now."

"And to all the little girls who are watching this, never doubt that you are valuable and powerful and deserving of every chance and opportunity in the world to pursue and to achieve your own dreams."

I am sorry it took me so long to post this, to be honest I only listened to it a little while ago myself.

I only got about three hours of sleep last night, and after I finished my work today I stepped away from my computer and watched a couple of Netflix movies just to give myself a mental health break.

But worry not, I have every intention of getting right back to work exposing the frauds, revealing the truths they are working so hard to hide, and calling out bullshit whenever I step in a pile of it.

I love this country, and I will continue doing everything that I can to help it continue its sometimes slow, but consistently steady, march toward enlightenment and progressive values.

And a word to the trolls.

Look I know that you are chomping at the bit to attack this woman now that she is wounded, that is the typical modus operandi for a POS like you.

However I think she deserves to be treated with dignity, so I will be rejecting your weak ass attempts to puff up you man boobs and act tough.

For tonight at least you can take that shit to some other progressive site.

Tonight we take stock, dust off the dirt and grime of battle, and start planning our next moves.

After hearing that Nicolle Wallace would be getting the hosting gig on The View, and not Sarah Palin, I got a little nostalgic for the HBO movie Game Change and thought I would share this with you this fine Saturday morning.

Let me just say as somebody who has been covering Palin for almost seven years now, I think there is NO doubt that this scene played out in real life almost exactly like this.

This is exactly what we would expect from an egomaniac like Palin, and since she refuses to accept "no" for an answer there is no doubt that she pushed it until McCain himself shot her ass down.

Damn didn't Julianne Moore do an excellent job?

MSNBC's Martin Bashir celebrates the concession of Teabagger Allen West.

It may seem somewhat spiteful to take such glee in Allen West's long overdue concession, but let's fact it the guy totally deserves it!

I have been fairly liberal with my usage of the term "douchebag" but if ANYBODY deserves the label it is this ginormous asshole.
