Poll shows early voting strongly favors Hillary Clinton.

Courtesy of Yahoo:

With 11 days to go before the U.S. presidential election, Democratic nominee Hillary Clinton leads Republican Donald Trump by 15 percentage points among early voters surveyed in the past two weeks, according to the Reuters/Ipsos States of the Nation project.

Though data is not available for all early voting states, Clinton enjoys an edge in swing states such as Ohio and Arizona and in Republican Party strongholds such as Georgia and Texas.

An estimated 19 million Americans have voted so far in the election, according to the University of Florida’s United States Election Project, accounting for as much as 20 percent of the electorate.

Overall, Clinton remained on track to win a majority of votes in the Electoral College, the Reuters/Ipsos survey showed.

Of course this poll was conducted before James Comey took a giant crap in the middle of the election cycle.

However whether or not that has much of an impact on those have not voted is really up to the media and whether or not they report accurately on just what the new emails show.

Right now it appears that there is really NOTHING that voters need to worry about concerning Comey's letter, but of course the Right Wing media needs desperately to make something out of this so the truth may not serve them well, and they may instead downplay the facts and fan the flames of distrust that many Americans still seem to have toward Hillary Clinton.

So Sarah Palin participated in early voting in Alaska. Gee, I wonder who she chose?

Courtesy of the Snowdrift Snooki's Facebook page:

Great day - returning home from early voting to see Todd, Trig & Tripp shooting pucks on our already-frozen lake; planning logistics to get back on the campaign trail for the last week of this imperative fight for our kids' and grandkids' future in the greatest country on God's green earth!

- Sarah Palin

Look Palin cannot even post about voting without bringing the kids into it.

And if she was really worried about their future she certainly would not have voted for the thin skinned, unqualified, misogynistic POS at the top of the GOP ticket.

Not that it matters because Wasilla is without a doubt going for Trump, and chances are Alaska will as well.

So her participation is really inconsequential.

On the other hand I voted on Monday, only a half hour after early voting started in Alaska, and if my candidate, the only one in this race qualified to do the job, wins it will be historic and ground breaking.

And if she also wins the state of Alaska it will not only be historic, but it might help to erase our previous mistake of voting in the state's first female Governor, who not only quit halfway through the job but also made us look like a bunch of inbred idiots to the rest of the world.

Yeah, that's the one.

First Day of Early Voting in Alaska!

Well you know what I'M doing this morning.

I am going to stop by 2525 Gambell St. Suite 100 in Anchorage this morning on the way to my workout, to cast my vote for Hillary Clinton as well as all of the Democrats down ballot.

I have been looking forward to this day for over a year now, and it will feel really great to finally get a chance to do my small part for the good of the country.

Remember voting fraud may be a figment of the Republican's imagination, but voter suppression is a real and present danger to our democracy, so if you have the opportunity to vote early take it and send a message that NOBODY takes away your right to participate in our democracy.

Who knows, perhaps if enough progressives get out and vote in red states like Alaska, Texas, and Georgia we might be able to hand our first female President the largest electoral map victory in decades.

And wouldn't it be great to see Donald Trump trying to accept a defeat of that magnitude?

Just a reminder to my fellow Alaskans before this upcoming election.

How to vote in Alaska:

The deadline to register is in 42 days, on Oct. 9.

You can vote by mail, early or on Election Day, Nov. 8. Early voting begins Oct. 24 and ends Nov. 8.

When you go to vote, bring your identification. This ID does not have to include a photo.

This might seem silly, but you would be surprised at how many people do not know these dates or the pertinent information.

While Mark Begich works his ground game Dan Sullivan brings in the old and the crazy.

Courtesy of the Fairbanks NewsMiner
From the Alaska Dispatch:

Begich and the Democratic Party have a roughly tenfold advantage in paid staff on the ground in Alaska, and their schedule for the next few days doesn’t include any particularly flashy events or guests -- Begich is campaigning in the Mat-Su, Anchorage, and Fairbanks, while his wife and mother make stops in rural Alaska.

Sullivan’s campaign, meanwhile, is relying on Cruz and 2012 GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, who’s holding a rally Monday in Anchorage with Sullivan and Republican Gov. Sean Parnell.

The visit from Cruz, who’s stumped around the country for Republican Senate candidates, helps Sullivan’s campaign to stoke its conservative base and even generate enthusiasm among Libertarians, whom Cruz mentioned in a video he posted shortly after his arrival in Alaska.

Saturday’s event in Fairbanks was a showcase for that strategy.

“In three days, we’re going to retake the U.S. Senate and retire Harry Reid as majority leader,” Cruz said to sustained applause from the Chrysler showroom, telling the crowd that Begich’s support for Reid amounts to “a vote that says, ‘I hate oil.’”

“Let me tell you, in the fight for this country, for the direction of this country, Alaska is ground zero,” Cruz said.

Yeah Raphael Cruz is full of shit here.

While I agree that Alaska is grown zero in a lot of ways, there is NO politician elected in this state that hates oil.

After all that is the lifeblood of Alaska right now, and without it we would suffer greatly. Mark knows that quite well.

However I am sure that Begich realizes that it will not last forever, nor should it, and that it is time to start seriously finding alternative fuel sources.

Having said that I can certainly attest to the powerful ground game being used by the Democrats in support of Mark right now. I have personally been visited a whopping seven times by door knockers making sure that I am voting, and voting for our current Senator. (I actually voted earlier today, so maybe I'll put a sign in my yard attesting to that fact.)

I have seen NOBODY from the Sullivan campaign in my neighborhood, and if he is relying on those out of state funded ads and the likes of Mitt Romney and Ted Cruz to give him a boost I think he might be in for a very unpleasant surprise tomorrow evening. (Assuming of course we know anything by tomorrow evening.)

By the way Begich referred to Cruz as "the king of the government shutdown." which I think is too perfect.

Well I for one am responsible for at least three Begich votes. No I did not vote three times, but my family members did come to me for guidance and I think I set them on the path of righteousness.

So if you have not voted yet, make sure you do tomorrow.

It is not just your responsibility, it is your right. And keep in mind who is working to take that right away from many of you.

Anti-Obama video mailed to 1.5 million voters across the country. Gee I wonder who is paying for THAT?

Courtesy of Buzzfeed:

An anti-Obama movie claiming — without evidence — that President Barack Obama's real father is an obscure African-American communist has been mailed to 1.5 million voters across the country, its creator told BuzzFeed Friday.

A reader in Ohio emailed this photo of his free copy of the film Dreams From My Real Father, which claims that the Chicago activist Frank Marshall Davis is actually President Obama's father. He received it in the mail this week.

The film's director and producer, Joel Gilbert, said that the film was sent out to more one million voters in Ohio; 200,000 after a mid-summer conference, and a million after that. He said that 50,000 copies had been sent to voters in Nevada and 100,000 to voters in New Hampshire.

"We're sending out bulk mailings to many states," Gilbert said. "Probably Illinois, New York, Florida, Arizona, Louisiana, we'll hit every state if we can to stimulate and force the national media to cover the story."

Gilbert declined to say how much his company, Highway 61 Entertainment, is spending to distribute the film for free, but said that the film was making a profit through online orders. He also wouldn't say how the company is funded and how they come up with the money to distribute so many free disks.

"We’re a private media company, a journalistic company that’s privately held and we don’t disclose the nature or makeup of our finances," he said.

He said "We’ve made 12 successful films and we are also making current revenue on the current film" and compared the company to Citizens United, but said that it wasn't a political group and didn't have donors.

Not "a political group," and don't have any "donors?"  What a crock of shit that is!

Just when you think you have seen the Republicans go as low as humanly possible, they dig themselves down even further.

This is a particularly disgusting attempt to smear our President, and it is quite literally something that this Joel Gilbert douchebag pulled directly out of his ass. Until this "movie" I had never heard even the MOST anti-Obama assholes claiming that he was fathered by somebody other than Barack Obama Sr. (But hey, according to this I guess we can stop suspecting that he is not a US citizen now at least, right?)

As for not being political, the other films made by this guy's company, Highway 61 Entertainment, are called  "Atomic Jihad" and "Farewell Israel." Gee I wonder which side HIS political affiliations lie?

I guess we should be, in some way, pleased that these scumbags are in such a panic that they are now throwing everything but the kitchen sink at the President. Clearly they smell the putrid aroma of defeat in he air, and are essentially losing their collective minds. (Some even going so far as to suggest there might be a civil war in response to his reelection in the hopes that it will scare people away from the polls.)

And who can blame them. The most recent polls by the Washington Post show the President with a growing lead over Mitt the twit in Ohio, as well as some other key states:

In the presidential race, Obama is ahead of Romney in Ohio by 52 percent to 44 percent among likely voters. In Florida, the president leads 51 percent to 47 percent, a numerical edge but not a statistically significant one. Among all registered Florida voters, Obama is ahead by nine percentage points.

And perhaps even more upsetting to the Republicans (Who really don't trust polls unless THEY are winning anyhow), is that early voting has already started in a few places, with many more states soon to join them.

This means that the election, for all  intents and purposes, has started, and right when Mitt Romney's foot is still firmly wedged in his mouth and his head is neck deep up his own ass. (Go ahead, just TRY to visualize that!)

I actually heard a conservative on the TV saying that the problem with early voting is that it is taking place BEFORE the debates, and they are now convinced that Mittens is going to wipe the floor with Obama.

Oh man, are THEY about to have jarring reality check!

Anyhow we all need to remember that the GOP dirty tricks are still coming hard and fast and the BEST thing we can all do is to get out and vote just as soon as possible. Alaska early voting starts on October 22nd, and you can bet your house that I will be standing outside the polling place with my ID in hand, well before they even unlock the doors.
