A white racist accused of fatally stabbing a 66-year-old stranger on a Manhattan street because he was black says he'd intended it as "a practice run" in a mission to deter interracial relationships.
James Harris Jackson, 28, spoke with a reporter for the Daily News at New York City's Rikers Island jail complex.
He said he envisioned a white woman thinking: "Well, if that guy feels so strongly about it, maybe I shouldn't do it."
The victim, Timothy Caughman, who was remembered as a gentleman and a good neighbor, was alone and collecting bottles for recycling last week when he was attacked from behind with a sword. He staggered, bleeding, into a police station and later died at a hospital.
Jackson was in court Monday, as prosecutors charged him with murder as an act of terrorism in addition to the murder as a hate crime charge he'd already been facing. Jackson did not speak, and his attorney had no comment.
A man travels to New York with the expressed intent of terrorizing people into changing how they live and who they love, through an act of murder.
If that is not terrorism I don't know what is.
And yet the man who ran for office on the promise of protecting this country from terrorism says nothing.
Is it because this man has the wrong color skin to fit into Trump's idea of what a terrorist should look like? Or because banning Muslims would have done nothing to stop his attack?
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

George Zimmerman takes to Twitter to mock his "haters."
![]() |

Zimmerman has been tempting the fates quite a lot lately by mocking the Virginia shooter, attacking President Obama, and insulting just about anyone who visits his Twitter page.
We all know how it ended for the last moron that hit me. Give it a whirl cupcake. https://t.co/F0IlHiHLX6

Just the very fact that this waste of oxygen is still out walking freely among us is an indictment of our justice system.

Self described conservative and 2nd Amendment advocate uses gun to kill his own children.
Courtesy of The Charlotte Observer:
Shawn Fuller admitted to shooting his young boys and said he was prepared to kill law enforcement officers, according to a report released Monday by the Iredell County Sheriff’s Department.
Fuller was on the phone with an unidentified person when he made the confession, the report said.
But by the time deputies arrived at Fuller’s home in the 100 block of Trent Road in Statesville, a confrontation was no longer a threat. Fuller was already critically injured with a self-inflicted gunshot wound.
Deputies found him outside his front door. They also found a weapon that had been hidden in the house by Fuller’s wife and likely was used to fire on his sons, according to the report.
The bodies of Uriah Fuller, 4, and his brother Josiah Fuller, 3, lay inside the house. They suffered multiple gunshot wounds, Sheriff Darren Campbell said in Monday’s report. Fuller is in critical condition at Carolinas Medical Center.
Fuller was intoxicated, no surprise there, and had turned his backyard into a half assed shooting range where he and his buddies shot at trees, milk jugs, cans, and probably anything else they could find.
Addicting Info located Fuller's Facebook page, and it was no surprise that he was a die hard conservative and defender of the 2nd Amendment:
I think that last one is the one that drives home the real point about owning guns.
People buy them after convincing themselves that they need them to protect their family, but aside from a handful of incidents where somebody scares off a robber or shoots a home invader, the majority of shootings are directed at friends, family, or even at themselves.
Guns are not designed to protect. They are designed to kill.
And in this case they did just that, and took the lives of two small, helpless children.

David Sweat, the second escaped fugitive, has been wounded and taken into custody.
Courtesy of the New York Daily News:
Escaped inmate David Sweat has been shot and is in custody, a source told the Daily News Sunday.
The fugitive's capture, which could not be immediately confirmed by authorities, signaled a possible end to the 23-day manhunt.
The source said that Sweat was seriously wounded but still alive. The news came as an autopsy on Clinton Correctional Facility escapee Richard Matt revealed he was shot in the head three times by a U.S. Customs agent, authorities announced Sunday.
As I am sure all of you know Sweat's partner, Richard W. Matt, was killed a few days ago by the authorities, so the good news for this guy at least is that he is going to live long enough to find himself back behind bars.
Just like his partner Sweat was also in prison for murder, so once again it is good news that both of these men are no longer free to commit more crimes, or perhaps take more lives.

In other news, escaped criminal Richard W. Matt has been located and killed by law enforcement. Well that's one.
Courtesy of the New York Times:
Richard W. Matt, one of the convicted murderers who staged an elaborate escape from New York’s largest prison nearly three weeks ago, was shot and killed on Friday by federal agents, two people with knowledge of the situation said.
There was a report of a second episode of gunfire as law enforcement officers pursued David Sweat, the other inmate, according to the two people. Mr. Sweat’s fate was unclear.
The shots were reported as law enforcement officers zeroed in on an area of remote terrain in Franklin County, near where investigators discovered evidence in two hunting cabins that indicated the missing inmates had been there.
It marked a violent turn in a sprawling manhunt that began in Dannemora, N.Y., a village near the Canadian border, and soon spread to large swaths of the state after Mr. Sweat and Mr. Matt engineered a daring breakout from Clinton Correctional Facility.
You know usually I hope that law enforcement takes criminals alive, but fuck this guy, he is too damn dangerous to be out here with the rest of us and if he died in the attempt to capture him so be it.
Just in case you think I am exaggerating how dangerous this guy is check out the Wikipedia page on him:
On December 3, 1997, Richard Matt attacked his 72 year old boss, William Rickerson, in his North Tonawanda home. After attacking him, and stopping to eat pepperoni and drink wine, Matt put Rickerson in his trunk and drove to New York. Matt was convinced Rickerson had large sums of money in his possession and demanded to know its location. At one point, Matt grasped the duct tape around Rickerson's hands and pulled it back, breaking his boss' fingers. Later, Matt snapped Rickerson's neck with his bare hands. He then dismembered the body and fled to Mexico to avoid capture.
Yeah like I said, fuck this guy.
