Vanity Fair article absolutely eviscerates Sarah Palin. Is THIS where I get to say I told you so?

From Vanity Fair:

The intensity of Palin’s temper was first described to me in such extreme terms that I couldn’t help but wonder if it might be exaggerated, until I heard corroborating tales of outbursts dating back to her days as mayor of Wasilla and before. One friend of the Palins’ remembers an argument between Sarah and Todd: “They took all the canned goods out of the pantry, then proceeded to throw them at each other. By the time they got done, the stainless-steel fridge looked like it had got shot up with a shotgun. Todd said, ‘I don’t know why I even waste my time trying to get nice things for you if you’re just going to ruin them.’ ” This friend adds, “As soon as she enters her property and the door closes, even the insects in that house cringe. She has a horrible temper, but she has gotten away with it because she is a pretty woman.” (The friend elaborated on this last point: “Once, while Sarah was preparing for a city-council meeting, she said, ‘I’m gonna put on one of my push-up bras so I can get what I want tonight.’ That’s how she rolls.”) When Palin was mayor, she made life for one low-level municipal employee so miserable that the woman quit her job, sought psychiatric counseling, and then left the state altogether to escape Palin’s sphere of influence—this according to one person with firsthand knowledge of the situation. The woman did not want to be found. When I finally tracked her down, her husband, who answered the phone, at first pretended that I had dialed the wrong number and that the word “Wasilla” had no meaning to him. Palin’s former personal assistants all refused to comment on the record for this story, some citing a fear of reprisal. Others who have worked with Palin recall that, when she feels threatened, she does not hesitate to wield some version of a signature threat: “I have the power to ruin you.”

This is the woman that I have been trying to describe to the world for over two years.  This is the woman who chased me out of the AT&T Sports Center in Wasilla two December's ago. This is the woman who attempted to destroy my livelihood and had her minions attempt to paint me as a child molester after I wrote the Splitsville post. This is the woman who so frightens the people of Wasilla that when she learns they are talking to a reporter, or book author, or blogger, she can shut them up and chase them into hiding with a simple phone call. This is the woman who has so frightened her closest confidantes that they are terrified to tell the truth about her last pregnancy even though they are terrified of what might happen if she wee to become President.

For any of you who ever thought I was overstating her insanity, or attacking her character for no reason, read the article.  Read the truth for a change.

I am still reading this so I will come back with updates when I find particularly interesting parts I want to focus on, but I encourage ALL of you to read the entire article.  It is important that it gets read by as many Americans as possible.

Update: I KNEW that picture of her with that caribou was faked!

It still does not quite seem real to most Alaskans that there are all these thousands of people in the Lower 48 turning out for … Sarah. It seems all the more unreal because Palin’s image as an engaging, down-to-earth small-town hockey mom was more or less accurate until two years ago. To be sure, some elements of that image were never true to life. “This whole hunter thing, for Sarah? That is the biggest fallacy,” says one longtime friend of the family. “That woman has never hunted. The picture of her with the caribou she says she shot? She got out of the R.V. to pose for a picture. She never helps with the fishing either. It’s all a joke.” The friend goes on to recall that when Greta Van Susteren came to the house to interview Palin “[Sarah] cooked moose chili and whatnot. Todd was calling everyone he knew the day before—‘Do you got any moose?’ Desperate.”

Update 2: "Spanx girdles?" Why would a woman with such strong abs that she could hide her fifth pregnancy for seven months need those?  Inquiring minds would like to know.

The shopping sprees continued through late October and were not, as previously claimed, mainly undertaken to clothe the family for the unexpected emergency of the Republican National Convention, in St. Paul. The number and range of items purchased for the entire Palin family—more than 400 in total—is mind-boggling. For Sarah, the campaign bought about 30 pairs of shoes, roughly $3,000 worth of underwear (including many Spanx girdles), a pair of Bose headphones costing more than $300, and even her incidentals and toiletries.

Update 3: God I am LOVING this!

In whatever remains of Palin’s inner circle, however, most people are following orders. Some details of the Palins’ private life, however, suggest a reality at odds with Sarah’s image. In speeches, Palin pays tribute to the man she still calls “the First Dude.” One of the strangest passages in Going Rogue concerns post-election rumors that the couple was considering a divorce. “That day in sunny Texas when the divorce rumors were rampant in the tabloids, I watched Todd, tanned and shirtless, take the baby from my arms and walk him back to the ranch house,” she writes, like a frontier Barbara Cartland. “Dang, I thought. Divorce Todd? Have you seen Todd?” Locally, much speculation surrounds the marriage. Some say Todd is henpecked, and others see him as the heavy. One person who has been a frequent houseguest of the Palins’ says that the couple began many mornings with screaming fights, a fusillade of curses: “ ‘Fuck you,’ ‘Fuck this,’ ‘You lazy piece of shit.’ ‘You’re fuckin’ lucky to have me,’ Sarah would always say.” (This person never saw Todd and Sarah sleep in the same bed, and recalls that Todd would often joke, “I don’t know how she ever gets pregnant.”) Whatever the nature of the relationship, Todd is now as much a part of Sarah as Hillary Clinton is of Bill. Whether they like it or not, the Palins, like the Clintons, are probably stuck with each other.

I heard from a source once, pretty highly placed, that one of the reasons that Sarah hates me so much is that my Splitsvile story forced her to stay with Todd. "She would NEVER give you the satisfaction of being right about their marriage."  Perhaps she would like to know that keeping them together was my plan all along.

Update 3: While we are all enjoying one of the most truthful revelations about all things Palin perhaps it is also very informative to see exactly who is claiming the article is a "hatchet job" or coming to Palin's defense in less obvious ways

I have learned to keep one eye on some of these individuals who profess NOT to be Palin supporters, yet always seem to give her the benefit of the doubt whether  she deserves it or not. If you do the same you may notice a pattern emerging.

    Ouch!

What affected me from the article is that Sarah has a Medea complex. As long as those kids serve her purpose; loneliness, photo-ops, vice-presidential runs she's on board with them. She spoils them because she sees them as extensions of herself against the world.

But, as we all know, when she has to really deal with their serious issues, she gets rid of them or as they get older-pays them off in some way.

OT, but I had to rush over here to give you another jewel to add to the "I wish I'd said that" file.

This time it is Chris Kelly at Huffpo:

Isn't the Palin family sort of profiting from Bristol's irresponsibility? Wouldn't it send a clearer message to teens if she wasn't on TV?

Listen, obviously I don't think that's going to happen. There's money involved, and Sarah and Todd Palin would kill anyone, including each other, for a free meal at Outback.

I felt that the PAC's and 501(c)(3)'s that sprung before and then kinda dissolved after a Palin event was very interesting. I would think they need to be investigated more..something does not add up.

  7. Have you gotten to this part yet, Gryphen?

"All attend to Palin’s every move with a focus that could be called obsessive, and all are given, in varying degrees of intensity, to juvenile outbursts that can rival C4P at its worst. For instance, among the Immoral Minority’s fictional captions for screen grabs from a Palin interview with Sean Hannity was the following: “Yeah I tole Levi to place his nasty sperm filled nuggets right here before he started his apology to my family. And every time he did not look sorry enough to me, I just gave them a little squeeze.” Still, without these blogs, the world would have much less information about Palin’s life right now."

Gryph, I didn't even have to read the entire post--you've been correctly reporting this for two years. Problem is, the braindead, juvenile followers of all things Palin will claim that this is an unsubstantiated, jealous attack on their goddess by the Elite Media since it appeared in VF. Let's face it, how many of them actually buy anything other than People, Star and The Enquirer? I for one am glad that this is coming out before November, so perhaps SOME of the undecided who possess advanced reading skills can judge her motives and actions for themselves.

Besides the overall implications of an immature, mentally unstable brat who is unable to make rational decisions in general, let me ask a question: so, Baggers...is this who you REALLY want to have the nuke codes? Why sacrifice yourself or your children for some delusional, temperamental bitch whose uber-religious handlers have managed to convince a pathetic portion of this society that she's "chosen" to usher in the End Times?

I guess the Palins won't be getting the big bucks doing photo shoots for VF any longer.

I wonder if VF figured that the Palins had made them as much money as they were going to get.

So, decided to be the one to "break up" first and make money off the Palins for free this time.

The truth will set Wasilla free~

Of all of the investigative reporting and encounters I have had with Palin they chose THAT as an example of the writing on my blog.

I would cry foul except they did not exactly treat Joe McGinniss with the respect I feel he was due either.

That article was pure montage from pretty much every negative article or comment that writer has read over the past couple years. Someone at VF is getting a corner office. THAT is how the business works. As long as you stick to regurgitating things that were actually printed, you are legit in printing them yourself. VERY deceptive business.

I read the VF piece in the early morning hours and loved it! Finally!! I've tweeted it to @SenJohnMcCain, to @Conservatives4Palin, to @teaparty, to @FoxNews and re-tweeted various quotes repeatedly. People are seeing it - I've been getting new FOLLOWERS from various Republican and Conservative sites - that means they don't like it what's happening.

When I read the part on IM, while I didn't necessarily like the article that they mentioned, still liked the fact that you got mentioned in VF. All in all, it was a postive mention about IM so congratulations, Gryphen.

Where were there big mouths when Bush was President. No Sarah actually has the cajones to say she MISSES BUSH.

Here is my interpretation of the "North Star" business:

Sarah implies that mention of the North Star is actually a reference to God.

Sarah calls herself "North Star" as her undercover name.

Therefore, Sarah thinks she is God.

Question: Should "God" really be throwing canned goods at stainless steel refrigerators, wearing Spanx, wasting time on three (count'em) three blackberries, and stiffing "the little people" of their tips? $5 tip for a $70 hairdressing bill? I had no idea God was that cheap!

While I always get a thrill from media reports that confirm my own opinion of Sarah, I grow weary of people who refuse to go on record. I'm tired of "close friends" and "highly placed sources." It makes it too easy for her fans to say it's merely made up.

If this is true, I wonder what the turning point was. The Palin clan was happy-go-luck up until the nomination, which Sarah and Todd knew was coming. How did their relationship evolve into what is described (if that is indeed the truth)? Why would Sarah continue to remain a public figure when she knows people could turn on her and divulge EVERYTHING at anytime? Thats the only thing keeping me from believing any of this. I've seen the family pictures, read facebook entries and comments. I think this is all in our heads and we are willing to believe some stupid VF writer with an ambitious agenda and dreams of job growth. I went to school for Communications. That article is what all "writer" strive for - drama and anonymity - with hopes of raking in millions one day.

This is not a portrait of a nice woman. Nor is it a portrait of a Leader.

Sarah doesn't understand math or accounting? I guess that explains why she never really has solutions about the economy or the deficit.

She has very few friends in the town where she has lived most of her 46 years?

No, something is very wrong here.

  28. imnofred8:02 AM

I read the article, and nothing comes as a surprise except as to why people are STILL AFRAID TO TALK about her.

The thing that really scares me about Sarah is that she thinks that she is the "chosen one' and that her followers believe it.

I guarantee there will be a Facebook rebuttal and appearances on Fox News and any any other media outlet that will let her tell her side of the story and to smear Vanity Fair.

It's really sad how she uses her own family for personal gain. I wonder how she is caring for her "beloved" Trig since she is constantly on the road.

This woman is truly lower than s**t.

No wonder Palin doesn't know how any people were at the Beck rally. This article confirms she's bad at math!

So, let's recap: She's bad at math; can't really speak English; doesn't read ("all of 'em!"); can't write (see "Who's Your Daddy?" essay from '06 for a great example of Palin's sad skills); doesn't understand psychology (witness throwing Bristol's pregnancy to the public in '08); got a D in Econ (by her own admission in '08); is a terrible speaker--to the point of writing crib notes on her hand. What's she good at? Oh, and don't say basketball, as she's too short to have ever been good at that. Running? She didn't really run, although she posed in cheesy runner shorts while a governor. Seriously, what can she do? She doesn't even write her own tweets & FB posts.

Is the Right really so desperate that they think "her mythology" still resonates with anyone? She's a total fake. Moderates are fleeing the GOP today.

She won't. She'd have to prove he lied. He didn't. She's a bully and a narcissistic sociopath. That's why she does the things she does. And she knows those who support her will always support her until she throws them under a bus. (And there are more everybody elses than her supporters.)--This just makes the people sitting on the fence, fear her crazy.

It was bound to start happening. When build a house of cards too high, it is going to topple. Everything has been a lie to one degree or another. Sarah's always been able to pull it off because of her physical beauty.

However, her face no longer looks beautiful because she is so full of anger and ambition. She scowls more and she holds her body more rigidly. Her voice has truly betrayed her. It was never her strong point, but now it is her unfortunate trademark. It's the first thing people mention.

With her ability to enthrall diminishing, people are seeing through the veil and not liking what's there.

After enjoyed all of the juicy stuff in the VF article, I began to think about how scary a proposition it would have been if McCain/Palin were actually elected.

John McCain (or some power group behind him) chose Sarah without very much investigation. They knew that she could not read, she could not learn and that she suffered from whatever mental disorder is driving her. How could they! They could have plunged this country into an even greater disaster than the current economic situation. And, they are not being held accountable for picking such a totally unqualified candidate.

This article should also have us thinking about the scary people who are backing Sarah, and who want to see her in national office (or influencing the next election.) They should scare us sh*tless! They are using a mentally unstable woman which mass market appeal to sell a dangerous message.

The good news is that Sarah couldn't stick to the script for two months with McCain, and at some point, I hope that she gets delusions of grandeur and goes rogue again. Please, please, please, I am waiting for the explosion!

I am surprised and disappointed that a couple of other prominent Alaskan blogs are not covering this. Even comments seem screened to allow only the most neutral reactions through. I think that's a mistake because the truth is coming out.

You cannot "stand above the fray," when truth is involved. Those other blogs are not going to seem as credible if the VF article becomes the standard bearer of truth when it comes to Sarah Palin.

Thank you, Gryphen, for having the courage to research, to discuss and to stand by your findings. It seems as if you are going to be vindicated at long last.

How you survived all these many months of having the Palins attack you directly or indirectly, of being shunned by some of the bloggers, and of just sometimes feeling as if you were alone in the wilderness, I do not know but I am glad you stuck to the truth as you've found it.

If Sarah Palin is finally swept off the national stage, you deserve much of the credit and gratitude of the American people.

I absolutely adore that the article title references Macbeth Act 5, scene 5.

    To refresh our collective memory:

Macbeth is talking about Life when he says the following (though I like that the VF author implies the lines area about SP through the use of the image in the title)

    " . . . a poor player,
That struts and frets his hour upon the stage,
And then is heard no more. It is a tale
Told by an idiot, full of sound and fury,
    Signifying nothing."

Gryphen you have been right all along, which is why I've read your blog for two years straight.

I looked at the other article posted on VF about the campaign clothing expenditures and this jumped out at me as over the top paranoia:

"But in the very next paragraph, Palin was trying to figure out a way to hang on to some of the items: “Do they want the nylons and other things that are pretty worn, returned?” (And she asked a campaign aide, “Do they really want my dirty undergarments?” Indeed, Palin had something of a fixation on the handling of her undergarments, and insisted, when hotel maids did her laundry, that only campaign aides be allowed to touch those particular articles.) Attempting to wrest some control over the situation, she added, “I want say in the charities these will go to.”

Do you think she was paranoid about maids finding skidmarks, or perhaps a little too protective over DNA?

So bizarre...congrats again. And everyone remember...icebergs travel very slowly...

Hey, Gryphen....please try harder, and instead of forcing "Blondie brains" to stay with Tawd, please work on forcing "Blondie Brains" to get lost in the wilderness somewhere...

You must also be "loving" the fact that despite the collective efforts of dolts like you and the "Sex-in-the-City" crowd that thinks Vanity Fair is The Congressional Record that Palin with a flick of her wrist put an end too the Makowski political juggernaut.

The very fact that a Vanity Fair article would give you a buzz is indicative of how psychologically devastated you are that ALL your efforts has done nothing to derail Palin.

    Nothing.

    YOU are the big-time loser:

    There was no Palin divorce.

Levy Johnson did not deliver the death blow to Palin you told your readers you knew was coming.

And now, again, you and hapless readers are glassy-eyed from another Vanity Fair high that will do NOTHING to stop the left's implosion ion November.

hahaha the little fairy tale about the two of them throwing cans of soup at each other made me laugh for maybe 10 minutes - then it made me think of my five year self using CDs as frisbies and throwing them at my parents. Except CDs are easily accessible and whereas canned goods make NO SENSE in the world of spousal fights. When you bullshit about a public figure, make sure the story you're concocting is probable. like punching holes in walls, as many people have been known to do.

Would you really expect Sarah to be perfectly even keeled all the time? Is that natural? Look at the anger we see in Congress, remember that one babysitter who defied our parents by spanking us. Look what line of work she chose. Look how badly the media has treated her ever since 8/29/10. I'd be pretty dang pissed too. GO SARAH!!!

Sarah calls herself "North Star" as her undercover name.

Excellent article at Vanity Fair! And here's as close as it gets to breaking the faked pregnancy news:

"In one comment string, a woman named Sandra wrote, “I wish Sarah would tell us more about what is involved with caring for Trig. I understand there are many professionals involved in his education and training. If we knew more about this there would be more support for organizations that are involved.” Mansour shot back, “Sandra, what are you implying?,” and the comment string went dead."

No Gryphen, you don't get to say I told you say yet. If the faked pregnancy doesn't make it to the MSM then Sarah's handlers will be able to counter that article as all biased politics. Also folks, please note that there are hardly any comments there at the article yet on the big deception. There needs to be lots of them soon!

Somewhere else I read about somone's house being set on fire, somewhere else there is the talk about Toad's retaliation on the Irondog trail, somewhere else there is the talk about potentially water/impurities being added into airplane fuel (of Menard?), etc, etc.

VF has a strong reputation of printing credible in-depth profiles of people in positions of power and celebrity.

I would also point out that there is going to be a lot more scrutiny of Sarah in the coming months if she keeps hinting at running for President. If you support her now, you'd better hunker-down because, to use a Sarah metaphor, the big guns haven't been used yet. If she has anything to hide, she'd better step off the public stage now.

  75. Okay the question of WHY I wanted Sarah and Todd to stay together has been asked a few times so I guess it deserves an answer.

At the time that I wrote the Splitsville piece, Todd and Sarah were for the most part isolated in their Wasilla home and stepping all over each others nerves.

Sarah was fuming about her failed VP bid and essentially blaming EVERYBODY but herself, and Todd was getting fed up with being hit with all of her emotional shrapnel.

In short they were starting to self destruct. My feeling at the time was that if Sarah dumped Todd she would trigger the lust of millions of pathetic men because she would essentially be "back on the market" and they would be willing to support any cause she brought forward, INCLUDING any political campaign.

A divorce would also create even MORE sympathy from women who would identify with her even further because she would now be a single mother, she could blame it on the media, and she would be seen as the living embodiment of "Girl Power".

In my defense I was not considering that she had a serious shot at being President at the time. And yes I am aware that being married only helps those aspirations.

I also kind of gave Todd more credit than I should have. He seemed, from all reports, to HATE being in the limelight and wanted to go back to his simple life of working on the Slope and commercial fishing. I did not realize that Todd could be paid off with enough money to make him Sarah's professional escort. My bad on that.

Now of course I could NOT have been absolutely sure that my post would either help them split up or help them to stay together. I am not Nostradamus. But at the time I FELT that it would make them stay together. And I had a source who also felt that would be the outcome.

And it seems that it was. IF my other source is to be trusted.

I STILL think that Todd has a breaking point. And when he, or one of the kids, finally have had enough, Sarah Palin is going to look back on this Vanity Fair piece as a love not by comparison.

    ReplyDelete

  79. Anonymous11:34 AM

I think the reason for the unwillingness of Sarah's faithful to believe any of this is rooted in their love of her. They are emotionally bonded to her - intellectual analysis is not involved. It is their emotions, not their brains that are ensnared.

Thing is, love can go sour big time. Just one thing - like the truth about Trig - can turn lovers into haters. Betray their love and their trust, and Sarah will be tossed on the trash heap of deceitful lovers. People who love their idols, break them down faster than any critics because their hearts are broken, their pride wounded, and their self-image shaken.

Good luck, Sarah. I think you are going to need all the luck you can muster as your fans discover who you really are.

You know, I think it is entirely plausible that the "dirt" on Sarah Palin is not coming entirely from the left.

Now that Sarah has become pals with Beck, her star no longer serves the GOP goal to dominate the Tea Party. She is becoming a liability, not a useful asset.

The GOP needs to have her star set so they can bring forth the real GOP candidates. I bet the GOP is grooming a more centrist candidate as we speak. They are simply waiting for Sarah to travel a bit farther down Crazy Street before they take her down themselves either directly or, more likely, through leaks.

The closer we come to 2011, the more leaded stories we are going to hear. She's almost served her purpose; as soon as they can, the GOP will dump her making it appear as a left-wing conspiracy. It's the Rovian way.

I just hope progressives and independents keep their wits about them so they can be ready for the real GOP candidate when he pops up.

    TOTALLY OFF TOPIC:

PRIOR: (Michael Jackson is an example of being wrongly accused and forced to enter a payoff agreement)

RESP: I assume you base that on an acquittal. All an acquittal says is the person didnt' convince twelve people beyond a reasonable doubt. No one in the history of the US has been found innocent by a jury - not evne Michael Jackson.

QUERY: If MJ didn't do what he was accused of, why did he risk so much of his fortune and privacy to do things that made him look like he did the things he was accused of, or even vulnerable to such allegations. Sure anyone can make such allegations, but most celebrities (heck, most men) won't let themselves be put in the position MJ put himself in so that the allegations are so believable (unless you don't want to believe).

If you have a basis to KNOW that MJ didnt do what he was accused of (not once, not twice, but at least three times) then tell us - although I can't imagine you have something that MJ didn't know, or that MJ knew and didn't reveal to protect himself.

PRIOR: Why would the locals be afraid of Mother Teresa?

Just ask Walt Monegan, Officer Wooten, and perhaps even Levi's mom. It would be interesting to compare the treatment Mrs. Johnston received at the hands of the law, with that of Todd's burglar-sister.

RESPOSNE: But that all happened when Sarah was a powerful local/Alaskan politician. What are people afraid of today?

BTW, it seems Anne Kilkenny spoke out and nothing bad happened to her - not that I've heard of anyway.

    PRIOR:
...IF the royal couple remain bound in their matrimonial horror .... isn't it delicious how much they both are suffering in each other's despicible company????

RESPONSE: Perhaps. But what about the kids. And I understand that Todd is not a bad father when left to himself.

I think the part of the VF article that really shows that Palin is playing a role intended for a specific audience is the part where one of the kids confronts her and reminds her that she is NOT acting like herself. A child would know better than anyone else when/if a parent changed his/her behavior.

@5:52, 5:55 AND 6:00 - you need your own blog, dude, to explore the dialectic approach.

vanity fair sometimes gets quotes from questionable sources - they have been known to go beyond honorable journalism quite a few times. but if even one tenth of this article is truth, sarah is not only as you have described her, gryph, but a million times worse. the north star?!? give me a fucking break! i wonder if she could even locate it?
the bit about the pac's and organizations being formed just to get sarah to speak for thousands of dollars is very interesting and ough to be extremely interesting to the fbi.

"If this is true, I wonder what the turning point was. The Palin clan was happy-go-luck up until the nomination, which Sarah and Todd knew was coming. How did their relationship evolve into what is described (if that is indeed the truth)?"

    1) There is no evidence that they were happy then. They married because she was knocked up.

Palin mentioned in her book that she and Todd spent most of their married life apart, with him working on the North Slope. This was Palin's explaination for why she waited 3 days before telling Todd that Trig had Down's; she wanted to tell him in person. NOTE, I do not believe Palin was preggers; just using this to make my point. They were probably not fighting as much because they had space from each other. They only saw each other 2-3 days per week on a good week for most of their marriage.

    2) Once the nomination happened, Sarah and Todd were spending most of their time together during very stressful times. They can't handle it. Which makes sense seeing that they aren't used to having so much time together.

Increased marital stress is to be expected, esp during a national political campaign. Most politicians admit that campaigns are tough on their marriages.

Why would Sarah continue to remain a public figure when she knows people could turn on her and divulge EVERYTHING at anytime? Thats the only thing keeping me from believing any of this. I've seen the family pictures, read facebook entries and comments.

    1) Palin has both Narcissistic and Histrionic Personality Disorder. She thinks that her behavior is appropriate so it doesn't dawn on her to behave. Why should she behave if she believes her behavior to be appropriate? Why would she think someone would spill all about her astonishing behavior when she thinks her behavior is normal?

Palin honestly doesn't and can't get it.

    2) She stays in public office because it feeds her narcissism and histrionics. She has no reason not to be in the public eye because she thinks she is normal!

I think this is all in our heads and we are willing to believe some stupid VF writer with an ambitious agenda and dreams of job growth.

If the National Enquirer can break the Edwards affair, VF, a much, much better source, can get people to talk. Seriously. VF gets amazing political info. Read their article of the Bush Cabinet that they published after Obama was inaugurated.

You are correct. I think that the vast MAJORITY of this info came from conservative sources. These sources were friends, co-workers, and political staffers from Wasilla, the Gov office and the McCain camp. These folks are almost entirely conservative!

Palin is getting fewer and fewer gigs. Centrist conservatives want nothing to do with her. She just had one of her speech venues moves to place with 80% fewer seats because no one was buying tickets. This was in FL. FL!!! Big ol' conservative FL!!!!

Palin's star is sinking. She is getting fewer speaking gigs, she is tanking some conservatives campaigns with her endorsements, and most conservatives wont give the Tea Party the time of day. That is her only remaining group of supporters.

Palin will remain in the spot light through the 2010 election. But even if she announces that she is running in 2012, she will fade very quickly. She doesn't have enough support to last financially until the 2011 Repub convention. Repubs know she is unelectable and will donate their $ to those they believe are electable.

As soon as Palin announces her 2012 campaign run, sources will be lining up to share more of what they know. Palin will be mortified.

I really want to see the emails that were referenced to in the VF article on Palin and the clothing expenses. those are hard, factual sources, and I want to see them!

so many interesting things about this article but this late at nite only time to reference one:

“We weren’t good enough for America. We’ll never be good enough for America.”

BWAAHAHAHAA sarah, I couldn't have said it better.

that's right, YOU ARE GARBAGE and everything you touch is shit. you are trash for manipulating people and your followers are complete suckers ie irresponsible citizens who are a danger to the rest of us.

you are not good enough for america. you are not even good enough for iran. you are GARBAGE.

  133. anyone else not the least shocked (but still sickened) that palin gives little or no tips to the low-wage-hourly-paid workers who do the hard work of brute labor and cleaning for her in her "first class" travels and accommodations?

this makes me ill! aren't these people the true "real americans" she crows incessantly about?

well, maybe they were "brown people (TM)".

heavens knows that black/asian/hispanic/indian/native americans etc. can't get the "real american discount card" that palin and beck would grant to largely chubby, ignorant, middle-class and middle-aged white folk!

sometimes i wish somebody would yell this at her in an interview...... (instead of my first impulse of just punching her. violence is never justified in simply political differences and for the record i'm 30 any only once ever punched anyone -my sis in the shoulder when i had to shower for prom and she'd used all the house hot water on the slip-n-slide, yes my parents have an outside hot-n-cold hose hook-up.)

"If Vanity Fair can take the bitch to the cleaners like they did in that one and not mention Palin's great deception then it's looking like she has won the battle."

An interesting point, but my thought on that is that he gives it away by mentioning the blogs by name and stating that this is where the truth and the journalism about Sarah has been going on. Sure, he has to sneer a little by using probably the least flattering quote possible, but he told anyone interested exactly where to go, and how long do you think they will last on Palingates or IM without getting into some Trig Truth?

Lots of great comments. However.....it can all be boiled down to this....Sarah Palin is a piece of shit.

Very true, 'onething'. Everyone should take the time to read the comments at the end of the VF article. Many of the commenters are the same names I see here on IM, Palingates, and Floyd Orr's blog palinbabygate. They are ALL mentioning the fake pregnancy, and including links to our familiar blogs. One links to Gryph's 'Tale of Two Babies'. From what I've seen, about one in 20-30 is mentioning the pg hoax & wild ride. Beware: LOTS of palinbots there!

Re:canned goods, when in a rage there is no such thing as sense to be heeded.

I used to have a problem with rage, and once barely stooped myself from throwing a pan of freshly baked brownies through my kitchen window. How much sense would that make? And if you only knew how much I loved brownies...
