New accuser comes forward and claims that Roy Moore sexually assaulted her when she was only fifteen years old.

Courtesy of CBS News:

Nelson describes her first encounters when she was 15 years old working as a waitress at a local restaurant after school.

She said Moore, DA of Etowah County, was a regular customer where he would often pull the ends of her hair as she passed by and complimented the young girl's looks.

"I did nothing to encourage this behavior," said Nelson, adding "I did not respond to any of Mr. Moore's flirtatious behavior."

She said that at the time of the encounters she had a boyfriend and was "not intersted in having a dating or sexual relationship with a man twice my age."

Nelson went on, describing another incident in which Moore signed a school yearbook of hers when she was 16.

"He wrote in my yearbook as follows: 'To a sweeter more beautiful girl, I could not say merry christmas, Christmas, 1977, Love Roy Moore, old hickory house. Roy Moore, DA.'"

She said after the incident, Moore had offered to drive Nelson home after work, during which she alleges he forced himself on Nelson and groped her in a locked car.

"I trusted Mr. Moore because he was district attorney, I thought he was doing something nice to offer to drive me home," said Nelson.

She detailed her fighting off Moore in the car as he squeezed her neck, forcing her head onto his crotch.

She said that Moore eventually gave up, and told her, "You're just a child and he said I'm the district attorney if you tell anyone about this no one will ever believe you."

This woman also says that she told others about the assault, though not at the time that it took place, and informed her husband before they got married.

If that can be verified, along with Moore's signature in her yearbook, I think Moore is cooked.

According to her attorney she is also perfectly willing to testify before Congress and the Senate under oath.

The other day a former boyfriend also came forward to affirm that he once dated the former 14 year old girl that Moore molested and that she told him the story back in 2009.
In response Mitch McConnell publicly stated that he believes the women and is calling for Moore to "step aside."

Senators Orrin Hatch and Susan Collins are also calling for Moore to resign.

On the plus side for the embattled Senate candidate more than 50 Alabama pastors just signed a letter of support for Roy Moore and  his campaign.

Moral Majority my ass.

Update: I realize now that nobody can leave comments on any of the posts after the Sean Hannity post from 6:15 this morning (Including me).

No I do not know what is wrong at the moment, but I have been having my own problems with Blogger for several days now.

Hopefully it will rectify itself, but in the meantime if you want to talk about a post you will have to leave a comment on the Hannity post from this morning.

Donald Trump's lawyers are desperately trying to get the Summer Zervos defamation case thrown out.

Courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter:

Donald Trump is looking to end a defamation lawsuit brought by season-five Apprentice contestant Summer Zervos — or at least delay it until he leaves office.

The dispute arose after tape was published of Trump boasting to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush about grabbing women's genitals. As Trump was under fire for his comments, Zervos came forward to accuse him of kissing her twice in 2007 and attacking her in a hotel room. “I never met her at a hotel,” responded Trump, who would also attack allegations from his accusers as "100 percent fabricated and made-up charges, pushed strongly by the media and the Clinton campaign."

Zervos claims she's been branded as a liar, and while she's only seeking $2,914 in actual damages (though potentially more in punitive damages), her attorney, Gloria Allred, has expressed that she is looking forward to taking “far-reaching” depositions and asking "many questions he may not wish to answer, but will be required to answer."

Trump's lawyers are using a number of tactics to get this case thrown out, such as accusing Zervos' attorney Gloria Allred of being politically motivated, saying that you cannot sue a sitting president in a New York court, and finally that Trump's statements are protected by the First Amendment,

No seriously, the 1st Amendment:

"The allegedly defamatory statements were made during a national political campaign that involved heated public debate in political forums," writes Kasowitz. "Statements made in that context are properly viewed by courts as part of the expected fiery rhetoric, hyperbole, and opinion that is squarely protected by the First Amendment."

So essentially the lawyer is suggesting that Trump just said controversial things to attract support and did not necessarily mean any of it to be taken literally.

So when he accused Zervos of being a liar, that was just political hyperbole?

Somehow I don't think that is going to pass the smell test.

Also keep in mind that though this is a defamation case the initial accusations were that Trump sexually assaulted this young woman, and the fact that he is hiding behind the 1st Amendment to keep that from being discussed in open court is pretty damn despicable.

Woman who accused Donald Trump of sexually harassing her is now suing him for defamation of character.

Courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter:

Just days before he's set to be sworn in as the 45th president of the United States, Donald Trump has been hit with a defamation lawsuit from a former Apprentice contestant who says he engaged in sexually inappropriate contact with her.

Shortly before Election Day, Trump faced a barrage of sexual assault accusations from many women following the release of a bombshell video showing him boasting to Access Hollywood's Billy Bush about grabbing women's genitals. Summer Zervos, who appeared on season five of The Apprentice, was one of the accusers. At that time, Trump responded at a rally in Pennsylvania, "All of these liars will be sued after the election is over."

So today Zervos sat with her attorney Gloria Allred to announce that she is proceeding with a lawsuit against Trump.

The complaint zeroes in on Trump's initial statement upon Zervos' allegation that he "never met [Ms. Zervos] at a hotel or greeted her inappropriately," along with tweets how his accuser "made up events THAT NEVER HAPPENED." She also points to comments of "100% fabricated and made-up charges,' "totally false," and so forth, including, "Every woman lied when they came forward to hurt my campaign."

"In doing so, he used his national and international bully pulpit to make false factual statements to denigrate and verbally attack Ms. Zervos and the other women who publicly reported his sexual assaults in October 2016," states the complaint. "Mr. Trump knew that his false, disparaging statements would be heard and read by people around the world, and that these women, including Summer Zervos, would be subjected to threats of violence, economic harm, and reputational damage. In his effort to win the Presidency and counter the damage to his election prospects caused by his own recorded words with Billy Bush, Mr. Trump knowingly, intentionally and maliciously threw each and every one of these women under the bus, with conscious disregard of the impact that repeatedly calling them liars would have upon their lives and reputations."

Hasn't released his tax returns, bragged about grabbing pussies in a video, intelligence agencies have proof that his campaign was helped by interference from Russia, and now he is being sued for potentially lying about sexually harassing a young woman.

HOW in the HELL did this guy win the presidency?

The day after Donald Trump called all of his accusers liars, a tenth woman comes forward to say that he sexually assaulted her as well.

Courtesy of the New York Times:

The day after Donald J. Trump said accusations of inappropriate sexual contact with nine women were “totally false,” a new accuser came forward on Thursday and described an encounter in which she said Mr. Trump grabbed her arm and fondled her breast.

Karena Virginia, a yoga instructor and life coach from the New York region, said she was 27 at the time and was waiting for a car to take her home outside the United States Open tennis tournament in 1998.

She overheard Mr. Trump, who she said she had never met, speaking to a group of men about her legs.

Mr. Trump approached and grabbed her right arm, Ms. Virginia said. “Then his hand touched the right inside of my breast,” she added. She flinched, she recalled. Mr. Trump said, “Don’t you know who I am?”

After her car pulled up, “my shock turned to shame,” Ms. Virginia said. “I felt ashamed that I was wearing a short dress and heels.”

“Mr. Trump, perhaps you do not remember me or what you did to me so many years ago. But I can assure you that I remember you and what you did to me as though it was yesterday. Your random moment of sexual pleasure came at my expense and affected me greatly.”

Ouch!

And Gloria Allred has claimed that there are many more women like this currently waiting in the wings.

You know I think that Trump needs to stop worrying about this election so much and start worrying more about ending up sharing a cell with Bill Cosby.

Christian school fires pregnant teacher for having premarital sex, and then tries to offer her job to the guy that impregnated her. Wait, what?

Courtesy of Life Inc:

In October, Teri James says her supervisor at San Diego Christian College called her to her office and got straight to the point: Was James pregnant?

James, 29, of El Cajon, Calif., was indeed pregnant – and she was also unmarried, a violation of school rules, according to the lawsuit she filed in San Diego County superior court. She says she was fired because, as the termination letter included in the suit stated: “Teri engaged in activity outside the scope of the Handbook and Community Covenant that does not build up the college’s mission.”

Speaking by phone with her lawyer, Gloria Allred, James said she felt humiliated.

"I had to leave right after the meeting. I had to go into the office with all of my co-workers and say I'm leaving," James said. "I never came back so I don't know what my co-workers thought, but for me, it was humiliating. I felt like I was in trouble."

Also insulting, James said, was that after firing her, the school offered a job to her then-fiancĂ© – they are now married – even though it was known that he, too, engaged in premarital sex. He did not accept the job, she said.

San Diego Christian College asks that its employees sign its “community covenant,” a two-page contract that asks its community, which includes employees and about 500 students on-site, to abstain from drugs, alcohol and tobacco and “abusive anger, malice, jealousy, lust, sexually immoral behavior including premarital sex, adultery, pornography and homosexuality, evil desires and prejudice based on race, sex or socioeconomic status.”

"We all had to sign it," James said. "I needed a job in this economy and so I never thought that anything would happen -- I just needed a job."

Added Allred: "It does not say that you will be fired if you do not comply."

You know this is another instance where I almost feel like a visitor from another world trying to understand how human beings can make such important decisions, such as who to fire and who to hire, based on superstitious nonsense.

To most of us the idea that this woman would be fired from her job due to engaging in a loving activity with her fiancee which resulted in a new life, is indefensible. Especially since I have little doubt that this school also frowns upon the use of birth control as well.

But then to add insult to injury is the idea that after the woman is punished for engaging in "sexually immoral behavior,"  her partner in that "immoral behavior" is essentially rewarded with an offer to take her job!

Which almost make you wonder if these idiots know how procreation works.

But of course they do. The problem is that they are members of a religion that has laid the blame for ALL of man's ills at the feet of the woman for thousands of years.

According to the Bible, Eve's eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden resulted in every possible sin that we know today. Therefore when one is committed who carries the lioness's share of the blame?

Before Eve, man was perfect. But you know once you introduce a woman into the equation then the evil has fertile ground in which to take root. And, once again according to the book that the History channel now uses as a textbook, God was so infuriated with the fact that Eve had corrupted his perfect masterpiece (Man), that he decided that man would be punished from that day forward, and women even more so with the discomfort of her monthly menstrual cycle and the pain of childbirth. (The so-called Curse of Eve)

But remember, HE loves you.

You might well say, "Come on Gryphen those old fables don't have any REAL impact on how women are viewed or treated today." But if you think that then you are not paying attention to the message of this story. Or the world around you.

Two people have premarital sex. One is summarily fired. The other offered a new job.

The only difference? Their gender. And the perceptions about their gender, gleaned from the reading of the Bible. Or the Koran. Or the Torah.

One was perfect and Godly, one was devious and soon became the instrument of Satan to usher in the downfall of man.

The school is only following the direction provided them by the book that they feel guides their lives to a greater glory in the eyes of their Lord.  To deviate from that path is to risk eternal damnation, courtesy, don't forget, of that bitch Eve.

My question, once again, is why are women still drawn to the church? Essentially all of the Abrahamic religions vilify, shame and repress the women. Why do we think that the Catholic church refuses to ordain women? Why do many Muslim cultures insist that women hide themselves behind Burkas? Why do we in America, even today, pay women less than we do men for the same job?

All of that, whether we are aware of it or not, is the lasting result of patriarchal faiths that identify man as the head of the household, the church, and the workplace, while placing women in the role of their subordinate due to the scribblings of an ancient civilization thousands of years ago.

And this case in San Diego is just the most recent example to remind us of how far we yet have to go to rid ourselves of the shackles of superstition and primitive constraints.

I hope Gloria Allred rakes their ignorant asses across the coals. Maybe next she can represent Eve, because THAT woman has a huge defamation of character lawsuit just itching to see the inside of a courtroom.

Gloria Allred's October surprise for Mitt Romney easily clears legal hurdle.

I'm sorry, what got unsealed today?
Courtesy of Alternet:

The controversy over Romney’s alleged lies under oath continues this Thursday, as a Massachusetts court unseals a testimony that some speculate could be devastating for the presidential candidate.

The famed feminist lawyer Gloria Allred has said that Mitt Romney lied in the divorce proceedings between her client, Maureen Sullivan Stemberg, and her husband, Tom, in order to protect the financial wealth of the former CEO of Staples. If the allegations are true, the revelation could be yet another blow to the GOP during an election cycle in which many of the candidates have played old-boy’s-club politics and demonstrated disregard and sometimes outright scorn for women.

The case in question began more than 20 years ago, when Mitt Romney--then hedge funder at Bain Capital--testified in the divorce proceedings on behalf of Staples-CEO Tom Stemberg, at the time Romney’s close friend and business partner. The divorce hearings occurred shortly before Staples--which has become the GOP’s misleading poster child for Bain Capital’s financial track record--went public, earning Stemberg and Bain Capital millions.

In the testimony, however, Romney allegedly lied about the future of the company, saying it was “overvalued” and that Stemberg was a “dreamer” for thinking the company could grow large. As a result, Maureen received very little in the divorce settlement--only to learn that her husband and his cohort Mitt Romney quickly turned around and cashed in their own stocks in Staples for a small fortune right after the divorce was finalized.

Of course we are left to speculate as to just how damaging this testimony might be to Mitt Romney and his campaign, but as you do perhaps you ought to consider this tidbit as well:

Parties in the case also signed a confidentiality agreement that Gloria Allred, the attorney for Sullivan Stemberg, called “the most comprehensive gag order I have ever seen in my 36 years of practicing law.”

Now that might simply be hyperbole on Allred's part, but if not then one has to wonder just WHAT exactly is so damaging in these documents that Romney's attorneys felt the need to constrain Maureen Sullivan Stemberg so aggressively.

And if this is as it is described, a case of Mitt Romney working with a male counterpart to defraud his wife through the use of deception, one has to wonder exactly how this will play out with female voters who are already quite suspicious of the Republican challenger.

In my estimation it will not only cause significant distress among the women, but it will further go on to raise issues of trust with ALL of the potential voters who have not yet had the opportunity to cast their ballot.

After all if the man is willing to lie under oath, in a court of law.......

Gloria Allred might have October surprise for Mitt Romney? Well, well, well, isn't THAT interesting? Update!

Courtesy of Radar Online:

Is famed women's right attorney Gloria Allred about to pull an "October surprise" on Republican presidential hopeful Mitt Romney?

That's the thinking, after Drudge Report founder and respected politico, Matt Drudge, tweeted Thursday: "Here she comes. Hearing Gloria Allred out there again, about to make a move. After all, it's her time of the campaign. Team O at the ready!!"

Allred, an outspoken supporter of President Barack Obama refused to confirm, or deny, Drudge's prediction, telling RadarOnline.com: "I have no comment at this time about Mr. Drudge's Tweet. I don't discuss meetings with potential clients."

Oooh, that's pretty interesting.

Now I have no idea of Allred has anything or not but  one would think that she would simply dismiss any supposition unless she had something up her sleeve.

Unless of course she simply wanted to fuck with these people.

Well all I know is that I would not put ANYTHING past Mitt the Twit and I will be paying pretty close attention to see how this story develops.

Update: Could this be the brewing scandal? After all, Allred has a history of representing the maids of politicians.

Uh oh Rush! Gloria Allred calls for investigation into possibility of prosecuting LImbaugh for his attacks on Sandra Fluke.

Personally I would think that even the very IDEA that Gloria Allred might represent Sandra Fluke in a lawsuit against Limbaugh, should cause his tiny pecker to shrivel up well beyond the ability of even Viagra to coax it out of its little hidey hole under all of that blubber.

Not that I think Limbaugh is feeling terribly manly these days anyhow, considering that his radio show has lost almost ALL of its advertisers and has been broadcasting dead air, in place of the usual ads. (Not that his audience is swift enough to pick up on the difference of course.)

And don't suppose that the Republicans will stop defending Limbaugh any time soon either, despite his loss of support among advertisers. After all THEY know who wears the leather mask in the relationship.

See? You don't need coffee to help you wake up this morning, now do you?
