Sarah Palin finally acknowledges her first grandchild born in wedlock.

Gee she seems awfully defensive.

Perhaps in her family a baby born to parents who are actually married is considered scandalous?

Well in that case she still has so many other little "accidents" of which to be proud.

For her part Bristol's ghostwriter has this to say about this most recent egg fertilization: 

Looking back many months ago, I would never have dreamed this is where I would be. Is this not proof God is full of good surprises, when you put your life in His hands? 

Dakota and I have been through trials in the public eye, and I am so thankful for where we are today. God brought us together. And then back together. Pretty miraculous. 

Keeping with our unconventional life, it has been so much fun to keep this news just among our family and friends for the first half of our pregnancy; that Dakota knows the baby’s gender but the rest of us won’t until he or she is born; and even while pregnant with Sailor (under more unconventional circumstances) I always knew a third child someday would complete our family. 

We are all overjoyed! 

And wouldn’t the world be a better place if people would be happy upon hearing other people’s good news instead of criticizing it? Or bringing them down?

Hmm, it appears that defensiveness runs in the family.

So a little bird told me that Track's newest baby mama is expecting a boy.

That's right another Palin male is about to enter the world (I imagine Wasilla shudders in anticipation.)

Track and Jordan are currently cohabiting somewhere in Wasilla (Probably that same house next to the 'rents that Track has been living in since he returned from his time cementing Sarah's "Mother of combat veteran" credibility.), and no I don't know when the big wedding is supposed to take place, but likely after yet another Palin baby is born out of wedlock.

After all that's how they do it in the 'Silla.

(P.S. If your immediate assumption is that this story comes from the Johnstons, you should probably know that I have a number of sources in the Valley. And trying to shut down one source, does not shut down all sources.)

Stop telling Bristol Palin to shut up! As long as she has a ghostwriter putting words in her mouth she doesn't have to!!!!!!!!

Everyone’s telling me to shut up about commenting on the issue in Washington State… Do they not realize what is going on? (I'm going to say "yes" here.)

You have to get a parents approval to take aspirin or ibuprofen at school, you have to have your parents present to go tanning in a tanning bed, or get your eye brows waxed, or get your belly button or ears pierced. But girls as young as 10 – YES I SAID 10 – can get an IUD put in without their parents knowing??????? 

How is that NOT black and white to people? (Uh..because it's NOT black and white?)


I know I’m the last to talk about birth control. (Two baby daddies right? LOLZ!)

(She said it, not me.)

But I am expecting a girl and do have a 14 year old sister and I would be so concerned for her going into a clinic and having something pretty serious put into her body. (I told you it was a girl.)

I’m not against birth control by ANY MEANS so do not twist my words. But I am against the government going between a parent and a child at such a young age. THERE IS A BIG DAMN DIFFERENCE. 10-11-12 year olds don’t know what’s best for them. 

Their parents do. 

(Yes but these IUDs are implanted with a surgical procedure, which requires a doctor. And surely even Bristol Palin recognizes that doctors are perfectly capable of telling their patients what is good or not good for them.)

So anyone who’s saying I have “no place to talk” .. Let’s look at the issue – the important part of this entire blog post – why I brought it to your attention. 

WE as parents know what’s best for our young daughters – NOT the government. (For clarifications sake the "government" is NOT placing IUDs in the bodies of little girls. Doctors do that. And just for a moment imagine the likelihood of a ten year old girl transporting herself to a clinic in order to get an IUD all on her own. More than likely if any ten year olds have received these, they did so with their parents fully aware.)


Okay now I am not at this point certain whether Nancy French has been channeling Bristol so long that she is now typing like a barely educated Wasillabilly or if in fact Brislt wrote all or part of this.

I will let you decide. 

However it is worth noting that whoever is the driving force behind these posts, and it could very well be Sarah herself, they are becoming increasingly defensive and combative.

Which makes it seem that somebody, or perhaps a couple of somebodies, are on the verge of a complete, and very public, breakdown. 

Well I've got my popcorn.

Lois Lerner e-mail allows Bristol Palin to play the victim again. Update!

One email, cited by Chairman Orrin Hatch as an “example of Lerner’s interest in conservative organizations,” asked whether the IRS should open an audit of Candie’s Foundation, which paid Palin $332,500 in compensation to be a celebrity spokesperson. Lerner was concerned that the salary figure could violate IRS rules against charitable groups being for the private benefit of individuals. 

Palin is the daughter of 2008 GOP vice presidential nominee Sarah Palin, and she became a household name when it was revealed during that campaign that she had become pregnant at age 17. She later performed on ABC’s Dancing with the Stars and was briefly engaged to Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer. 

“Thoughts on the Bristol Palin issue?” Lerner, then the director of the IRS’s Exempt Organizations unit, wrote to her staff in 2011. “I’m asking because I don’t know whether to send to Exam as a referral.” There’s no evidence from the Senate report that an audit was ever opened.

As the article states there was no investigation launched, so this was really nothing more than open question as to whether there was anything suspicious about how much money Candies was funneling to Bristol, and whether or not she was doing anything to earn that amount.

I think most of us would answer that first question with a "yes," and the second with a "hell no."

I also think most of us realize that there are all kinds of methods, from bulk book sales, to political PAC donations, that allow wealthy, and not so wealthy, individuals to provide certain conservatives with a substantial amount of cash that they lack the talent and intellect to earn on their own.

Of course this news report allowed Brancy to puff up and demonstrate some faux outrage, as was expressed on the blog this morning:

By now, you’ve heard that the IRS under the Obama administration targeted, harassed, and intimidated tea party, pro-life, and patriotic groups. 

Today, I saw this news… they also considered targeting me!

I think Nancy French is just happy that there is an article about Bristol which doesn't mention that she is once again pregnant out of wedlock.

Because there are certainly numerous others that are hot on that topic.

Update: Well of course if Nancy French is going to ghostwrite one post about this, she might as well write two.

Man "accidentally" shoots his pregnant girlfriend in the face during argument.

Doctors in central Pennsylvania delivered a baby during emergency surgery on a pregnant woman shortly before she died from a shotgun wound. 

Police said 25-year-old Denver Blough told them he had accidentally shot his girlfriend, 23-year-old Caressa Kovalcik, during an argument Saturday at the Windber apartment they shared with their 11-month-old son. 

Kovalcik died after delivering the child she had been carrying for nine months, reported The (Johnstown) Tribune Democrat, and the baby was flown to Children’s Hospital of Pittsburgh for additional care. 

“What’s going to happen to my baby?” Blough asked state police as they took him into custody. 

Blough, who worked for an asphalt company, was charged with criminal homicide, attempted criminal homicide, aggravated assault charges, and other charges.

Blough claimed that he broke his 20 gauge  shotgun into two pieces and went to show his girlfriend, and that the weapon fired hitting her in the face.

That seems highly implausible to me, if not outright impossible.

I would think it more likely that he shot his girlfriend, panicked, and then broke his gun into pieces.

I think the police might be making a similar assumption which explains why he was charged with criminal homicide instead of manslaughter.

The NRA is always talking about how weapons keep us safe, but it only takes a cursory knowledge of gun deaths to recognize that the vast number of people shot in this country are shot in similar domestic squabbles, where one person becomes angry and there is easy access to a weapon.

And now this poor child has been robbed of both their mother, who is now dead, and their father, who may not get out of prison until the child is an adult. 

Christian school fires pregnant teacher for having premarital sex, and then tries to offer her job to the guy that impregnated her. Wait, what?

In October, Teri James says her supervisor at San Diego Christian College called her to her office and got straight to the point: Was James pregnant? 

James, 29, of El Cajon, Calif., was indeed pregnant – and she was also unmarried, a violation of school rules, according to the lawsuit she filed in San Diego County superior court. She says she was fired because, as the termination letter included in the suit stated: “Teri engaged in activity outside the scope of the Handbook and Community Covenant that does not build up the college’s mission.” 

Speaking by phone with her lawyer, Gloria Allred, James said she felt humiliated. 

"I had to leave right after the meeting. I had to go into the office with all of my co-workers and say I'm leaving," James said. "I never came back so I don't know what my co-workers thought, but for me, it was humiliating. I felt like I was in trouble." 

Also insulting, James said, was that after firing her, the school offered a job to her then-fiancé – they are now married – even though it was known that he, too, engaged in premarital sex. He did not accept the job, she said. 

San Diego Christian College asks that its employees sign its “community covenant,” a two-page contract that asks its community, which includes employees and about 500 students on-site, to abstain from drugs, alcohol and tobacco and “abusive anger, malice, jealousy, lust, sexually immoral behavior including premarital sex, adultery, pornography and homosexuality, evil desires and prejudice based on race, sex or socioeconomic status.” 

"We all had to sign it," James said. "I needed a job in this economy and so I never thought that anything would happen -- I just needed a job." 

Added Allred: "It does not say that you will be fired if you do not comply." 

You know this is another instance where I almost feel like a visitor from another world trying to understand how human beings can make such important decisions, such as who to fire and who to hire, based on superstitious nonsense.

To most of us the idea that this woman would be fired from her job due to engaging in a loving activity with her fiancee which resulted in a new life, is indefensible. Especially since I have little doubt that this school also frowns upon the use of birth control as well.

But then to add insult to injury is the idea that after the woman is punished for engaging in "sexually immoral behavior,"  her partner in that "immoral behavior" is essentially rewarded with an offer to take her job!

Which almost make you wonder if these idiots know how procreation works.

But of course they do. The problem is that they are members of a religion that has laid the blame for ALL of man's ills at the feet of the woman for thousands of years.

According to the Bible, Eve's eating from the Tree of Knowledge of Good and Evil in the Garden of Eden resulted in every possible sin that we know today. Therefore when one is committed who carries the lioness's share of the blame?

Before Eve, man was perfect. But you know once you introduce a woman into the equation then the evil has fertile ground in which to take root. And, once again according to the book that the History channel now uses as a textbook, God was so infuriated with the fact that Eve had corrupted his perfect masterpiece (Man), that he decided that man would be punished from that day forward, and women even more so with the discomfort of her monthly menstrual cycle and the pain of childbirth. (The so-called Curse of Eve)

But remember, HE loves you.

You might well say, "Come on Gryphen those old fables don't have any REAL impact on how women are viewed or treated today." But if you think that then you are not paying attention to the message of this story. Or the world around you.

Two people have premarital sex. One is summarily fired. The other offered a new job.

The only difference? Their gender. And the perceptions about their gender, gleaned from the reading of the Bible. Or the Koran. Or the Torah.

One was perfect and Godly, one was devious and soon became the instrument of Satan to usher in the downfall of man.

The school is only following the direction provided them by the book that they feel guides their lives to a greater glory in the eyes of their Lord.  To deviate from that path is to risk eternal damnation, courtesy, don't forget, of that bitch Eve.

My question, once again, is why are women still drawn to the church? Essentially all of the Abrahamic religions vilify, shame and repress the women. Why do we think that the Catholic church refuses to ordain women? Why do many Muslim cultures insist that women hide themselves behind Burkas? Why do we in America, even today, pay women less than we do men for the same job?

All of that, whether we are aware of it or not, is the lasting result of patriarchal faiths that identify man as the head of the household, the church, and the workplace, while placing women in the role of their subordinate due to the scribblings of an ancient civilization thousands of years ago.

And this case in San Diego is just the most recent example to remind us of how far we yet have to go to rid ourselves of the shackles of superstition and primitive constraints.

I hope Gloria Allred rakes their ignorant asses across the coals. Maybe next she can represent Eve, because THAT woman has a huge defamation of character lawsuit just itching to see the inside of a courtroom.

Oh I think we can all figure out who the "Political Diva" is, don't you?

Which political diva was overheard bitching about her famous reality-star daughter at a Bevery Hills event? The controversial brunette told a celebrity father-to-be that she’s glad he’s having a boy because “girls are a nightmare – from toddler to teen and beyond!”

"Why is everybody looking at me?"

Wow! That is a tricky one! Or is it?

At the Television Critics Association press tour in Beverly Hills July 24, the TV host's husband, Nick Lachey, 38, gave Us Weekly an update on how they're prepping for the arrival of their first son. 

"We're just trying to enjoy our last couple of months of freedom here: getting the nursery ready, making sure we've got all our hospital plans together," Lachey explained. "All that stuff." 

In the meantime, Lachey is gearing up for the August 13 premiere of Stars Earn Stripes, a new NBC reality series that challenges eight celebrities to execute complicated missions inspired by real military exercises. 

"I was most intrigued about meeting Todd Palin, because he's such a mysterious figure to me. I thought, 'Am I going to have anything in common with this guy?' And as it turned out, the guy is awesome. I love him," Lachey raved of Sarah Palin's husband. "We had a great time and I enjoyed getting to meet everybody." 

Somehow I don't think that most of you would have even needed to have Nick Lachey identified in order to figure out who the "political diva" bitching about her "reality show daughter" was. I mean seriously, who else could it have been?

However if you want a REAL mystery to solve  perhaps you can figure out who has been recently "helping" to edit Todd Palin's Wikipedia page and added the following:

In January of 2011, Todd Palin became an item of interest with tabloid newspapers, as being caught up in an affair with a woman named Shailey Tripp. This information was later verified by the Anchorage Police Department and Shailey Tripp's lawyer, Kristen Foster. A year later investigator, Ed Opperman, also verified this interesting public information of their scandalous affair. Miss Tripp has openly admitted to the relationship and has published a book March of 2012 titled, Boys Will be Boys: Media, Morality, and the Coverup of the Todd Palin Shailey Tripp Affair.

PRETTY sure that neither barely literate Todd nor his Wikipedia altering son Track (Sarah blamed him right after being tapped for VP of changing HER page) added that particular information. 

So go ahead and admit it, have one of YOU been naughty recently?

Clearly there is NO conservative War on Women as illustrated perfectly by a Christian school's decision to fire a pregnant teacher for not being married. Wait, what?

Cathy Samford, a 29-year-old former science teacher and volleyball coach at Heritage Christian Academy in Rockwall, Texas, was fired last fall after the school discovered she had become pregnant out of wedlock. 

In a recent interview with ABC News, Samford said she and her fiance had been planning to get married, though complications forced the wedding to be delayed. 

"I'm not just some teacher that went out to a bar and got pregnant and went back to school saying it's okay," Samford said in the interview. "I was in a committed relationship the whole time and probably would have been married if things had gone differently and this would be a non-situation." 

After becoming aware of her pregnancy, Samford approached school officials about missing part of the upcoming volleyball season. It was then that, according to Samford, the school responded by telling her she would be terminated.

Let me remind my readers that the SOLE reason for this firing is based on a religious belief that it is sinful to have sex outside of marriage, and the desire to promote a primitive mindset that women HAVE to married in order to parent their children. (See my earlier post addressing the basis for the conservatives War on Women.)This woman is not suddenly unable to do her job effectively, any more than a pregnant MARRIED woman is unable to continue functioning in their place of employment.

I should also mention that this woman is losing a job that she needs in order to support her newborn baby, how does THAT equate with the Fundamentalists expressed "Pro-Life" stance, or their contention that the liberals are the ones promoting an "Anti-woman" agenda?

Quick somebody ask Ann Romney or Sarah Palin about this woman's situation.

Oh wait, here's their answer.
