After Wednesday's speech Latino former Trump supporter believes he is trying to lose and instead intends to start a media empire.

“After I heard that, there was no way I could continue to be part of a prop apparatus for Mr. Trump,” Monty told MSNBC on Thursday. “So, I resigned. And it’s a sad day because I am no fan of Hillary Clinton.” 

As for why Trump had doubled down on inhumane immigration policies, Monty said that it was possible that Trump “listens to whoever talks to him last.” 

“The other possibility is that maybe he does not want to win,” he added. “Maybe this is a media play. And I feel serious about that.” 

“You can usually count on someone’s self-preservation instincts,” Monty explained. “Not only is this the right thing to do, this is the only way that he can win the White House. And that he didn’t follow it suggests to me that maybe winning is not part of the game plan. Maybe this is part of a media play where he wants to create a media empire that will focus on the millions nativists that believe that the country needs to control immigration.” 

“And if that’s his play, it will be good and he’ll have millions of followers. But he won’t win the presidency.”

Okay I've heard this media thing several times now.

Afterwards I felt drained and like I should be searching for affordable housing in Canada.

But I pulled my shit together and realized that Donald Trump had just taken the long predicted pivot and shoved it right up the Hispanic community's ass.

Several major Latino surrogates for Donald Trump are reconsidering their support for him following the Republican nominee’s hardline speech on immigration Wednesday night. 

Jacob Monty, a member of Trump’s National Hispanic Advisory Council, has resigned, and Alfonso Aguilar, the president of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, said in an interview that he is “inclined” to pull his support. 

“I was a strong supporter of Donald Trump when I believed he was going to address the immigration problem realistically and compassionately,” said Monty, a Houston attorney who has aggressively made the Latino case for Trump. “What I heard today was not realistic and not compassionate.” 

He withdrew from the board following Trump’s speech in Phoenix, which was heavy on calls for border security and emphasized that all immigrants in the country illegally were subject to deportation. 

Yeah I think Trump's chances of attracting more than a handful of Hispanic votes is somewhere between slim and no fucking way.

And any argument that he is willing, or even capable of change is now completely off the table.

In other words everything is right back to where everybody with half a brain should have already realized it would end up.

Now I am simply awaiting the sweet sweet political ads the Clinton campaign is throwing together with Trump's own words from last night.

Jeb Bush's campaign continues its free fall as protesters interrupt speech in front of the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce.

As Jeb Bush expanded on his support for a path to citizenship for some immigrants, immigration protesters cut him off with chants of "No hope without our vote!" 

Bush tried to make himself heard over the protesters, so that he could talk about his support for the children of undocumented immigrants, known as "DREAMers." He told the audience at the Hispanic Chamber of Commerce, "I believe that Dream Act kids should have a path to citizenship...I've been consistently for it and I'll continue to be consistently for it irrespective of what the political ramifications of that are." 

But Bush, like most of the Republican presidential field, does favor securing the border before taking action on the millions of undocumented immigrants currently in the U.S. The Associated Press reported that the Texas Organizing Project planned the protests that disrupted Bush's speech. 

The group's communications director, Mary Moreno, told the AP that protesters wanted to call attention to "the hostile atmosphere being created by the GOP field of presidential candidates," and she said the Republican candidates wanted to "militarize the border" when there are already thousands of border patrol agents on the southern border.

If I had the capacity to feel sorry for Jeb Bush, which I don;t, I think I would be feeling sorry for Jeb Bush right about now.

The guy had this whole thing mapped out.

He had the name. He had the money, He had the political connections.

What he didn't have is a personality, or the ability to run a coherent campaign where his foot does not  end up him his mouth every two or three campaign stops.

At this point I don't think that it's inconceivable that Bush will drop out.

It won't happen today, but it certainly could happen, and it could happen earlier than anybody would predict.

Jeb Bush clarifies that when he uses the term "anchor babies" he's not referring to Mexicans, who he loves, he's referring to those slanted eyed rice eating bastards.

During his obligatory visit to the U.S.-Mexico border as one of 17 Republicans vying for the GOP presidential nomination, Bush once again found himself at the center of a controversy surrounding his use of the derogatory reference to the U.S. born children of undocumented immigrants. Bush attempted to clarify that when he said “anchor babies” during a radio interview last week, he meant Asians who come in and “take advantage” of birthright citizenship not Hispanics. 

Bush blamed Hillary Clinton’s campaign for suggesting the term is derogatory, calling the controversy “ludicrous.” Bush, who’s wife is a Mexican immigrant, claimed that “frankly, it’s more related to Asian people coming into our country, having children, in that organized effort taking advantage of a noble concept, which is birthright citizenship” and said he wasn’t worried that his use of the term would impact his relationship with Hispanic voters: 

"What I was talking about was the specific case of fraud being committed where there’s organized efforts—and frankly it’s more related to Asian people—coming into our country, having children, in that organized efforts, taking advantage of a noble concept, which is birthright citizenship. I support the 14th amendment. Nothing I’ve said should be viewed as derogatory toward immigrants at all."

White Evangelicals see themselves as the group most discriminated against in America. No, I am NOT making that up.

The Pew Forum has released a doozy of a poll about religion in public life in the United States showing that white evangelical Christians possess grossly overdeveloped feelings of victimhood. Given that the voting bloc evangelicals comprise is one of the most heavily pandered to in American politics, and given the fact that evangelicals themselves are the cause of some very real discrimination, there is thus a mountainous irony at play here. 

In a survey of 2,002 Americans, Pew found that 72% believe that religious influence is waning in the country, and sadly, 56% regard this as a “negative development.” A disturbing 59% of Americans say they want members of Congress to “have strong religious beliefs.” When it comes to discrimination, believe it or not, more Americans think that evangelicals are discriminated against than atheists.

Notice that of white evangelicals, white mainline Protestants, black Protestants, white Catholics, Hispanic Catholics, and those who are unaffiliated with any religion, it’s white evangelicals who are much more likely to think “there is a lot of discrimination” against them, with 50% believing their demographic is discriminated against “a lot.” Amazingly, white evangelicals believe there is more discrimination against them than there is against Muslims, blacks, Hispanics, Jews, and atheists. 

So to be clear, the group that has dominated politics in this country for the last forty years, and whose favorite holiday is celebrated nationally, believes that THEY are more discriminated against than any other group in a country founded by white Christians.

I have no words.

Scott Walker fires campaign worker over tweets demeaning Hispanics.

For the second time in less than four months, Gov. Scott Walker has fired an aide for making demeaning comments about Hispanics on social media. 

Walker — who has been calling on fellow Republicans to do more to reach out to minority voters — ousted Taylor Palmisano as his campaign's deputy finance director on Tuesday. The first-term governor made the move after No Quarter contacted his campaign regarding the inflammatory tweets. 

In one, Palmisano, 23, complained about an individual who was doing custodial work in a library in which she was working. 

"I will choke that illegal mex cleaning in the library. Stop banging (expletive) chairs around and turn off your Walkman," she posted on March 9, 2011. 

Two months earlier, she went to Twitter to write about her bus trip from Pasadena, Calif., to Las Vegas after watching the Wisconsin Badgers play in the Rose Bowl: "This bus is my worst (expletive) nightmare Nobody speaks English & these ppl dont know how 2 control their kids #only3morehours #illegalaliens." 

Palmisano's ouster comes even as she was lampooned by a variety media outlets for her bizarre fundraising appeal in which she encouraged parents to give to Walker's campaign fund instead of buying Christmas toys for their children.

I understand that next Walker is planning to reach out to women by asking them why they aren't barefoot and pregnant.

Alex Jones has been the victim of racial attacks probably more than just about any white guy on the planet. I mean come on, would he lie about that?

Alex Jones claimed on his radio show that he has been racially attacked dozens of times, but was “smart enough not to become a racist over it,” unlike many who used racial violence as excuse for the further “balkanization” of society. 

“I’ve been racially attacked by black people, probably—let’s not exaggerate—thirty-five times?” Jones said. “I’ve been racially attacked by Hispanics, let’s not exaggerate, five times. Let me tell you, that’s when you really get hurt bad. Compound fractures, you name it.” 

“I am sick of it,” Jones said. “I am sick of the fact that I have been racially attacked over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over. And the politically correct thing to do is just offer your kids up to have their noses broken and their eyes blackened and their bones broken, because the one thing you don’t do is ever go stand up against it. That’s what political correctness is in this country.” 

Jones blamed racial violence on “tribalism,” arguing that white cops will always beat up black men and vice versa. 

“I’m smart enough to not become a racist over this. I’m smart enough to understand the manipulation. I’m smart enough to understand the geopolitical ramifications, and to actually try to bring people together to have a gang—because everybody’s tribal, that’s what it is, we’re designed like that—based on private property and the family and liberty and freedom and being honorable.”

You know the only thing that might drive his point home better, and make it more believable, is if he said "and over" a few more times. Don't you think?

I like how he says "let's not exaggerate" right before he spews bullshit all over his microphone. And then says "I'm smart enough" right before exhibiting an almost debilitating lack of intelligence.

You know you add a pair of a fake glasses, a road kill fright wig, and some plastic boobs and he could BE Sarah Palin.

Talking to David Gregory on NBC’s Meet The press, King argued that immigration reform would entail granting citizenship to “a lot of people…up to the age of 35″ who smuggled drugs over the Mexican border. Navarro hit back hard, telling King he needed to “get therapy” for his bigoted views about Latinos: 

KING: This proposes to legalize a lot of people that will include the people who are drug smugglers up to the age of 35. You cannot do a background check on people that don’t have a legal existence in their home country… 

NAVARRO: First of all, I think Congressman King should get some therapy for his melon fixation. I think there might be medication for that. I think he’s a mediocre congressman with no legislative record and the only time he makes national press is when he comes out and says something offensive about the undocumented or Hispanics.… There are other voices who are the adults in the room and who are working hard towards a reform. and I think it’s going to happen. I’m more optimistic than most. 

GREGORY: Before I let him go, he just heard that. Congressman King, do you want to respond to that in terms of what actually is going to get accomplished? 

KING: Well, I would say this. First of all, I spoke only of drug smugglers. If Ana understands the language, she should know that. I didn’t insult her or other Republicans and I didn’t – 

NAVARRO: I’m not undocumented. I vote, Congressman.

God I loved that!

"You're going to talk to ME about insulting people Congressman?" I am not always a fan of Ana Navarro but I liked how she slapped the shit out of King for saying such overtly racist things about Hispanics.

And here's the thing, he made it sound like he was ONLY talking about drug smugglers, but his actual quote was “For [every DREAMer] who’s a valedictorian, there’s another 100 out there that — they weigh 130 pounds and they’ve got calves the size of cantaloupes because they’re hauling 75 pounds of marijuana across the desert. Those people would be legalized with the same act.” 

He is clearly saying that out of 101 immigrants that 100 of them are drug smugglers. There is no way NOT to take offense at those remarks if you re Hispanic, or even simply a reasonable person.

Like I said I don't there will be too many times in the future where I agree with Ana Navarro, but in this case I thought she was awesome!

And finally to end our day here is Sarah Palin comparing the GOP's golden boy Marco Rubio to Judas. Seriously how many times can one person jump the shark?

It is not a good idea to compare a Latino to Judas.

Especially since about half of them name their children "Jesus." Adding this to her earlier statements and it seems that Palin is doing her level best to make sure that NO brown skinned American ever votes for a Republican again.

Palin might feel safe saying that shit here in Alaska but she may want to watch her shriveled pasty white ass the next time she is hanging out in Arizona.

As we know the Republican party found themselves reeling from political attacks during the 2012 election identifying them as in the pockets of big business, that they are racist, that their policies are anti-woman, and that they are a party mostly made up of wealthy old white men.

Since most of that is unquestionably accurate the Republicans were at a loss for how to make themselves seem more hip...you know more cool...less old fogey like.

So they looked around and found a brown guy, Marco Rubio. Who will now give the next Repuublican rebuttal to President Obama's State of the Union speech. See? All fixed.

After all we remember how well that last brown guy did with the rebuttal speech in 2009. (Nailed it!)

But leave it up to the folks over at Maddow Blog to find something to complain about with Rubio: 

Rubio doesn't accept climate science, thinks the age of the planet is a theological question, and opposes marriage equality. Remember the Blunt Amendment that would have empowered employers to deny birth-control coverage to their employers? It was originally known as the "Blunt-Rubio Amendment." 

Rubio is part of a shrinking fringe that opposes the Violence Against Women Act, embraces strange conspiracy theories involving gun control, and thinks George W. Bush was a "fantastic" president. 

Rubio tells teleprompter jokes while reading from teleprompters, has been caught lying about the basics of Republican budget policy, has suggested TARP recipients shouldn't have to repay bailout money, and in 2011, argued programs like Medicare and Social Security have "actually weakened us as a people."

Okay well as usual Maddow brings up some good points, but she, and her so called "research department," missed the most important truth about Marco Rubio (And the only one the GOP even cares about!), he is brown. Not very brown, but just brown enough to get those liberals in the media off their damn backs, and to hopefully get those Latinos to start voting for them!

Besides how smart can the Latino community be? Didn't most of them just crawl over the fence, and into this country, yesterday?
