Donald Trump's now defunct Commission on Election Integrity seemed to really focus on Texas Hispanic voters.

President Trump’s voting commission asked every state and the District for detailed voter registration data, but in Texas’s case it took an additional step: It asked to see Texas records that identify all voters with Hispanic surnames, newly released documents show. 

In buying nearly 50 million records from the state with the nation’s second largest Hispanic population, a researcher for the Presidential Advisory Commission on Election Integrity checked a box on two Texas public voter data request forms explicitly asking for the “Hispanic surname flag notation,” to be included in information sent to the voting commission, according to copies of the signed and notarized state forms. 

White House and Texas officials said the Texas voter data was never delivered because a lawsuit brought by Texas voting rights advocates after the request last year temporarily stopped any data handoff.

Gee, it's almost as if this whole commission was created simply to prove that Donald Trump lost the popular vote because of illegal immigrants who voted against him.

But that can't be right, can it?

Personally I was not sure I heard him right, but fortunately MSNBC played it like nine more times yesterday. 

I don't know about the rest of the country, but I love me some tacos. So if electing Hillary Clinton means more food trucks with Mexican delicacies on every street corner, then I think that might be her most compelling campaign slogan to date.

Joe Scarborough's "Amnesty Don" song. Is this what caused Trump to double down with his anti-immigrant rhetoric during his speech last night?

“Morning Joe” namesake Joe Scarborough on Wednesday put out a song called “Amnesty Don” mocking GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump. The song makes light of Trump’s self-described “softening” on his primary promise to deport 11 million illegal immigrants. 

The song and accompanying lyric video — on Scarborough’s Facebook page — conveniently dropped just hours before Trump is scheduled to meet with Mexico’s President Enrique Peña Nieto in Mexico City. And on Wednesday evening, Trump will further define his immigration policy during a rally in Phoenix.

Okay so like the article says this song started to make the rounds on the internet yesterday morning and continued throughout the day.

It is conceivable that Trump, who was on his way to Mexico earlier may not have heard it until after he met with President Nieto.

Which makes one wonder if THAT might not have triggered Trump into going full KKK rally last night in Arizona.

That is really not such a crazy theory considering how aggressive his Twitter war has been with Scarborough in the past.

Several major Latino surrogates for Donald Trump are reconsidering their support for him following the Republican nominee’s hardline speech on immigration Wednesday night. 

Jacob Monty, a member of Trump’s National Hispanic Advisory Council, has resigned, and Alfonso Aguilar, the president of the Latino Partnership for Conservative Principles, said in an interview that he is “inclined” to pull his support. 

“I was a strong supporter of Donald Trump when I believed he was going to address the immigration problem realistically and compassionately,” said Monty, a Houston attorney who has aggressively made the Latino case for Trump. “What I heard today was not realistic and not compassionate.” 

He withdrew from the board following Trump’s speech in Phoenix, which was heavy on calls for border security and emphasized that all immigrants in the country illegally were subject to deportation. 

Yeah I think Trump's chances of attracting more than a handful of Hispanic votes is somewhere between slim and no fucking way.

And any argument that he is willing, or even capable of change is now completely off the table.

In other words everything is right back to where everybody with half a brain should have already realized it would end up.

Now I am simply awaiting the sweet sweet political ads the Clinton campaign is throwing together with Trump's own words from last night.

Pope Francis will deliver most of his speeches in his native Spanish when he arrives in the US next week for his three-city tour, with just four speeches expected in English. 

Federico Lombardi, the Vatican’s chief spokesman, said on Tuesday that the Argentinian pontiff will deliver 14 speeches in Spanish – including a high-profile speech before the United Nations. Lombardi said that the pope finds it easier to communicate in Spanish. 

Indeed, if the past offers any clues to his upcoming tour of Cuba and the US, the pope has tended to make some of his most newsworthy comments in Spanish, especially when he departs from prepared remarks and speaks off the cuff. 

The papal visit comes amid a caustic debate in the US about immigration and the widespread use of Spanish.

So not only is the Pope speaking out against conservative economic policies,  speaking in favor of accepting non-religious people as equals, and calling for the acceptance of evolution, but now he dares to come to America and speak in the same language as the people illegally crossing the borders?

Boy THAT is going to make whatever that is on Donald Trump's head stand straight up.

After all as we know American is the greatest, most bestest language there is. And if this fraud, who has probably NEVER even been inside of a real honest to goodness fire and brimstone revival meeting, cannot be bothered to talk good American, then perhaps we Americans are better served getting our religious direction from tried and true sources like Pat Robertson, Franklin Graham, and Joel "Show me the money" Osteen.

Hmm I wonder how many GOP candidates are willing to get up close and personal with the Pope now?

Donald Trump's immigration plan essentially takes a scorched earth approach.

Trump’s plan, which is detailed on his website, calls for construction of a wall along the Mexican border, vowing to “make Mexico pay” for it; an end to birthright citizenship for the children of illegal immigrants; the defunding of sanctuary cities; the strengthening of immigration enforcement; and more. In an interview on NBC News, Trump added that he would rescind President Obama’s executive actions shielding millions from deportation, and deport all illegal immigrants: “They have to go.”

Trump's plan also included tripling the number of ICE officers, and hunting down ALL illegal immigrants in America and keeping them imprisoned until they could be deported back to their home countries.

The cost of such a program is estimated in the hundreds of billions of dollars. (Because you know fuck fiscal conservatism when there are wetbacks that need deporting.)

Now of course the question is what do the other GOP contenders do in response to this? Especially if it helps Trump increase his lead?

Let's face even though some of the GOP candidates, like Jeb Bush and Marco Rubio, talk about working to secure the Hispanic vote, the real base of the Republican party is xenophobic to its core.

So if Trump says outlandish things like this, and it helps him in the polls, what choice will the other candidates have to but to jump on board the undocumented immigrant bashing bandwagon?

Man you can almost hear the ground rumbling beneath your feet as all of the Hispanics rush over to support the Democratic ticket can't you?

Donald Trump tells TMZ he is contacting the FBI to investigate threats just made by a man claiming to be the son of escaped Mexican drug lord El Chapo. 

Trump is reacting to a tweet reportedly made by El Chapo's son, in which he blasts Trump for saying El Chapo is "everything that's wrong with Mexico." 

The tweet was written in Spanish, with the rough English translation, "Keep f***ing around and I'm gonna make you swallow your bitch words you f***ing whitey milks***tter (that's a homophobic slur)." 

Of course Trump goes on to say that he is not intimidated (Probably from inside of the safe room in his house.) because that would reflect poorly on his tough guy image.

Okay are they sure this is from "El Chapo's" son? After all this could be from just about every Mexican on either side of the border who was fed up with Trump's racist comments.

And by the way what kind of scary drug lord name is "El Chapo?"

It sounds like something you get while riding around in assless chaps in your El Camino.

Donald Trump appears to have deleted a tweet he quoted that made questionable comments about Jeb Bush and his wife. 

On July 4th, Trump quoted another users tweet which claimed to know why Bush likes “Mexican illegals.”

Oh how cute, he thinks he can simply delete a tweet and nobody will notice.

Earlier Bush had suggested that The Donald did not really mean what he said:

“He’s doing this — he’s not a stupid guy, so I don’t assume he thinks that every Mexican crossing the border is a rapist. He’s doing this to inflame and incite and to draw attention, which seems to be the organizing principle of his campaign,” Mr. Bush said.

Chicago brewery stops making beer for Donald Trump, renames leftover beer "Fuck your hair."

A Latino-owned brewery in the Chicago area is renaming leftover beer they produced for Donald Trump, after he called Mexican immigrants "rapists" and drug dealers. 

"We would be doing an injustice to the community we serve (and live in) by engaging in business with someone who does not accept our role in society and expresses a rhetoric of hate and ignorance towards us," said Andres Araya, co-owner of the 5 Rabbit Cerveceria brewery. 

Araya told Chicago radio station WBEZ the brewery is going to stop making beer for Trump Tower's Rebar, and instead insult the orange-haired pendejo by re-christening what's left 'Fuck Your Hair.' 

The 50 remaining kegs of the summer golden ale will be sold to Chicago area bars under the name “Chinga Tu Pelo."

Okay does anybody else suddenly want to buy beer from this company?

After Univision cancels Miss USA telecast due to Donald Trump's racist comments, Trump sends letter forbidding them from setting foot on any of his properties. Trump diplomacy at work.

Donald Trump has banned any employee of Univision from stepping foot on one of his properties after the Spanish-language network cancelled the Miss USA telecast. 

The billionaire real estate baron, who is now running for president, sent a signed letter to the company's CEO and made threats about future policies. 

"Please congratulate your Mexican Government officials for having made such outstanding trade deals with the United States. However, inform them that should I become President, those days are over. We are bringing jobs back to the U.S. Also, a meaningful border will be immediately created, not the laughingstock that currently exists," Trump said in the letter.

 Yes this is the guy we won't negotiating foreign policy with Putin, or working out a nuclear agreement with Iran.

The guy would start a war over the slightest provocation.

Essentially he is a big orange baby, with weird hair, and an over inflated ego.

He actually may be too clownish to be permitted to sit in the GOP clown car. And that's really saying something.

Jeb Bush and the purge of minority voters during the 2000 presidential election.

As the 2016 campaign heats up, an episode from his tenure as Florida governor reveals why Bush's image as a “uniter, not a divider,” as his older brother used to put it, may not stand up. The state's deeply flawed purge of felons from its voting rolls in advance of the 2000 presidential election remains a scar that still has not healed for many in the state. 

“I’ll never the forget people that came up to me and said, ‘You let them steal our votes,’” Rep. Corrine Brown (D-Fla.), who became state's first African-American elected to Congress since Reconstruction when she won her seat in 1992, told The Huffington Post. “So many people were just wiped off the rolls -- people who’d been voting for years and years. You had the obligation to prove that you weren’t a felon.” 

The felon purge wrongfully denied thousands of legitimate voters the ability to participate in a presidential election pitting Republican George W. Bush against Democrat Al Gore. Ultimately, a few hundred Florida ballots would determine the presidency, and with it, the nation’s path for the next eight years and, really, well beyond. 

Though it received little notice outside of Florida in the election’s immediate aftermath, as hanging chads and butterfly ballots took center stage during the recount, the purge remains for many the most egregious example of voter disenfranchisement that took place during the 2000 presidential election, which was ultimately decided by a Supreme Court ruling. 

“The purge was right out of one of these playbooks in how you diminish minority turnout -- there was absolutely no justification for it,” said Dan Gelber, a former Democratic state legislator and a longtime Bush nemesis. 

Just a reminder that Jeb Bush can speak Spanish until his lips fall off, but that deep down we all know that he will gladly stomp on the rights of minorities in exchange for political expediency. 

Oh, and this story also reminds us just how responsible Jebbie is for this brother's presidency.

That all by itself should be the ultimate dis-qualifier.

Univision, the Spanish language television network, refuses to air Donald Trump's Miss Universe contest because he apparently hates Mexicans.

Today, the entertainment division of Univision Communications Inc. announced that it is ending the Company’s business relationship with the Miss Universe Organization, which is part-owned by Donald J. Trump, based on his recent, insulting remarks about Mexican immigrants. 

At Univision, we see first-hand the work ethic, love for family, strong religious values and the important role Mexican immigrants and Mexican-Americans have had and will continue to have in building the future of our country. We will not be airing the Miss USA pageant on July 12th or working on any other projects tied to the Trump Organization.

This of course is in response to Trump saying this during his announcement as a indicate for President:  

"When Mexico sends its people, they are not sending their best. They are not sending you. They are sending people that have lots of problems, and they are bringing those problems to us. They are bringing drugs and they are bringing crime, and they’re rapists.”

Yeah apparently Spanish speaking people don't like it when you call them rapists. Who knew?

Of course Trump being Trump there was no way he was letting this go.

Arizona's outgoing Department of Education head sends letter saying that school curriculum endorses racism...against whites.

Last week, the outgoing head of Arizona's Department of Education issued a letter saying some Tucson public schools were illegally promoting ethnic solidarity and the overthrow of the U.S. government by teaching Mexican history, rock lyrics and a rapper's essay. 

For John Huppenthal, it was the final official act in a long battle against ethnic studies courses that he and other conservatives argue have politicized the classroom and bred resentment against whites. As a state senator in 2010, he helped pass a law against ethnic studies. As Arizona’s superintendent of public instruction for the last four years, he helped dismantle a Mexican-American studies curriculum in Tucson that independent researchers credit with boosting student achievement and graduation rates. 

Boy I bet Arizona is sorry to see this guy go.

I mean who else is going to stand up for the oppressed and downtrodden white people?

You may remember that Huppenthal originally got into to trouble last summer: 

The state's top school official apologized and repudiated anonymous blog posts he has made for at least the last four years equating welfare recipients with "lazy pigs'' and declaring there should be no Spanish-language radio, TV, billboards and newspapers.

And here I was wondering what it is about Arizona that Sarah Palin finds to attractive.

Ted Nugent doubles down on racism as he prepares to play at another poorly attended gig.

On August 7, Nugent took to his Facebook page to hype his "Rib-Off" appearance, but also to argue that American Indians upset about land being taken from them by white settlers need to learn about the American Dream. 

Nugent wrote, "WE ARE ON OUR JET NOW HEADING FOR TOLEDO RIBFEST JAM AFTER AN INSANE INCREDIBLE OUT OF BODY ULTRAROCKOUT at the Full Throttle Saloon in Sturgis SD! Simply astonishing gig! 4 stinkyass unclean dipshit protestors that admitted they hate me AND ALL WHITE PEOPLE THAT STOLE THEIR LAND BULLSHIT!! See, it aint me they hate, they hate all Americans that produce & live the American Dream. Simply insane!" 

The protestors that Nugent attacked as "stinkyass unclean dipshit[s]" were reportedly from the United Urban Warrior Society in Rapid City, SD. 

Nugent made other inflammatory comments in the discussion thread on his Facebook post. One fan wrote that "Maybe the natives shoulda had better weapons ..." to which Nugent responded, "less peyote less whoopin & hollerin." 

 Nugent also had some nasty things to say about the Mexicans, because you know he is so NOT a racist.

I swear it is almost like Nugent is trying to destroy what is left of his career.

But hey, maybe Sarah Palin will broadcast some of his music from her channel website blog.

Then at least he would know that at least a dozen like minded people would hear him play.

Marco Rubio threatens to kill his own immigration bill if it includes "teh gays."

"Whoa, I said yes to wetbacks and pochos, NOT faggots!"

Florida Republican Sen. Marco Rubio, a co-author and key proponent of the Senate immigration bill, said he will revoke his support if an amendment is added that allows gay Americans to petition for same-sex spouses living abroad to secure a green card. 

"If this bill has in it something that gives gay couples immigration rights and so forth, it kills the bill. I'm done," Rubio said Thursday during an interview on the Andrea Tantaros Show. "I'm off it, and I've said that repeatedly. I don't think that's going to happen and it shouldn't happen. This is already a difficult enough issue as it is."

Yeah the Republicans might be ready to reach out to the Latina and female community but let's not get crazy.

Damn this man is holding nothing back these days! That was a great speech that I am pretty sure just made a number of immigrants life long Democrats.

Here is perhaps my favorite part:  

When we talk about that in the abstract, it is easy sometimes for the discussion to take on a feeling of us versus them. And when that happens, a lot of folks forget that most of us used to be them. 

We forget that. 

And it’s really important for us to remember history. Unless you’re one of the first Americans, a Native American, you came from some place else, somebody brought you. 

You know, Ken Salazar (ph) he’s—he’s of Mexican-American descent, but he points out that his family’s been living where he lives for 400 years, so he didn’t—he didn’t immigrate anywhere. 

The Irish who left behind a land of famine; the Germans who fled persecution; the Scandinavians who arrived eager to pioneer out west; the Polish, the Russians, the Italians, the Chinese, the Japanese, the West Indians—the huddled masses who came through Ellis Island on one coast and Angel Island on the other. 

All those folks before they were us, they were them. And when each new wave of immigrants arrived, they faced resistance from those who were already here. They faced hardship. They faced racism. They faced ridicule. But over time, they went about their daily lives. They earned a living as they raised a family, as they built a community, as their kids went to school here. 

They did their part to build the nation. They were the Einsteins and the Carnegies, but they were also the millions of women and men whose names history may not remember, but whose actions helped make us who we are, who built this country hand by hand, brick by brick. 

They all came here knowing that what makes somebody an American is not just blood or birth, but allegiance to our founding principles and the faith in the idea that anyone from anywhere can write the next great chapter of our story, and that’s still true today.

I thought that was exactly the right way to talk about this and the attitude that will hopefully finally see something  progress on this issue.

Apparently the Republican counter plan hinges on first securing the border, which of course we all know is a ridiculous concept that will NEVER be achieved to the GOP's satisfaction. And the reason for that stance is because the Republicans also realize that the faster immigrants are added as US citizens, the faster the Democrat's ranks swell with new voters.

And THAT is not something they are any hurry to help implement.
