Now for some good news. God told Michele Bachmann NOT to run for the Senate.

Over the weekend, Bachmannn told End Times radio host Jan Markell that after much prayer, she has decided that God does not, in fact, want her to make a bid for this seat. 

“I’m not going to run for that office,” she said. “I had a lot of people contacting me, wanting to give me money and be a part of my team to run for a campaign … But what I did is I did what I have done on every other time I thought about running: I took it to the Lord in a very quiet way, I took it before the Lord, I prayed, I tried to have my ears open and hear what God was saying to me.” 

“I considered it for quite a long time,” Bachmann continued. “From the very first day when Al Franken had announced his resignation from the U.S. Senate, I went before the Lord and it became very clear to me that I wasn’t hearing any call from God to do this.” 

“I’ve always prayed and tried to seek out what God’s will for me would be,” she added, “and each time before, I’ve had this inner sense that I’m supposed to do this, I’m supposed to run. It doesn’t mean a guarantee that I’ll win, all it means is that that’s what I sensed in my spirit, that God wanted me to run. I had absolutely no sense from the Lord at all that I was supposed to run this time.” 

“I just had no sense from the Lord that this is something that I should do right now,” Bachmann said, “so I’m not going to do it.”

You know, that's almost enough to make you believe in a higher power.

Bachmann appeared on Christian broadcaster Jim Bakker’s program and said that she has “had people contact me and urge me to run for that Senate seat” that will soon be vacated by outgoing Sen. Al Franken. 

However, she told Bakker that she was wary about wading into the Senate race because she’s worried about paying a price that she described as “bigger than ever” because “the Swamp is so toxic.” 

Bachmann lamented that she wasn’t a “billionaire” who had the funds to properly defend herself against attacks against her reputation, but she said that she would consider getting into the ring if God gave her the okay. 

“I fulfilled the calling that God gave me,” Bachmann said of her unsuccessful 2012 presidential run. “So the question is, am I being called to do this now? I don’t know.”

Oh damn I did not realize that this was something that I wanted until I saw that video.

Bachmann running for that seat in Minnesota to replace the amazing AL Franken, would be a blogger's dream come true. 

And my favorite part is that she is discussing this on Jim Bakker's batshit crazy Christian fleecing program, where he sells things to the gullible like "End of Days" food products, and that she really thinks she did well in her last attempt to win the GOP nomination for President.

Oh yeah, I don't care if God never gets back to her on this, she needs to run.

It would be such an easy seat for the Democrats to keep if she did.

Michele Bachmann thinks that establishing a hate crime hotline is a violation of the separation of church and state. Wait, what?

Former Minnesota congresswoman Michele Bachmann was a guest on Jan Markell’s “Understanding The Times” radio program again last weekend, where she claimed that a hotline set up by the city of Minneapolis for reporting hate crimes was fascist and a violation of the separation of church and state. 

Last month, Minneapolis announced that a hotline had been established to allow residents to report hate crimes, which include “any crime against a person or property motivated by prejudice against someone’s race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender or gender identity. This includes prejudice-motivated property damage (including graffiti), stalking and assault.” 

Bachmann claimed that this hotline is really an attempt to outlaw criticism of Islam and institute Sharia law, insisting that its creation is a violation of the separation of church and state. “What we’re seeing is that hotlines are being set up by units of government for the purpose of encouraging people to call in and rat on their fellow man to report a hate crime,” she warned. 

“What they’re trying to do is implement anti-blasphemy laws. They’re trying to implement Islamic Sharia law locally in order to quiet churches and quiet anybody who would talk about what the truth is about Islam.” 

“What they want is civilization jihad,” Bachmann continued. “They want jihad through the court system to silence speech because when you take away someone’s speech rights to speak out—like we’re doing right now, to tell the truth about something—then it’s game over … There should be a lawsuit filed against the city of Minneapolis for doing this. They have violated the so-called separation of church and state that the left is so in love with because they’re preferring Islam over any other religion and, number two, they’re fascists. That’s what they are, they’re fascists; they want to shut down your right to free speech.”

For some reason Bachmann believes that the only incidents which Minneapolis will label a "hate crime" is one perpetrated against a Muslim.

However according to the government website, this is how they define a hate crime:  

A hate crime is any crime against a person or property motivated by prejudice against someone’s race, religion, disability, sexual orientation, ethnicity, gender or gender identity. This includes prejudice-motivated property damage (including graffiti), stalking and assault.

Look at that, not one word about Islam.

For all intents and purposes Michele Bachmann has dropped off the radar, but I just wanted to share this to remind everybody that the batshit crazy did not arrive with Donald Trump.

The batshit crazy was already in place among the Right Wing conservatives just waiting to welcome Donald Trump into the fold.

Former Rep. Michele Bachmann appeared on the American Pastors Network’s “Stand In The Gap” radio program yesterday, where she warned conservative Christians not to buy into the “lies” about Donald Trump because electing Hillary Clinton as president will only lead to more sexual assaults in America.

Trump may have made “crude” remarks, but that pales in comparison to what Bill Clinton has done, Bachmann argued, which was to “criminally assault women” and for which he has “never paid the price.” 

The best thing that Christian men and women can do, Bachmann said, is to ensure that Hillary Clinton never becomes president because she “will set a standard in this country that will lead to even more sexual assaults against women because she will be setting an anti-biblical agenda.” 

Rohrer agreed, saying that the effort to turn Christian women away from Trump is really a satanic effort to “divide Christian evangelical homes,” which prompted Bachmann to declare that “this is an effort by Hillary Clinton supporters and George Soros, through Sojourners and other so-called Christian organizations, to divide us. These are lies and we, as Christians, need to recognize that this is a lie and a deception and we need to wake up and resist these lies.” 

Yeah people who believe the primitive superstitious nonsense in the Bible should be careful not to fall for any lies.

Boy I really miss ole Michele Bachmann. Now that she and Sarah Palin are only popping up occasionally I have to get the majority of my batshit crazy female bullshit from the Trump surrogates, like Kellyanne Conway, Katrina Pierson, and Scottie Nell Hughes.

I mean it's sometimes good and all, but it's just not quite the same. 

Michelle "Crazy Eyes" Bachmann says that God raised Donald Trump up to win the nomination. So much for that all knowing BS.

“I actually supported Ted Cruz. I thought he was fabulous, but I also see that at the end of the day God raised up, I believe, Donald Trump who was going to be the nominee in this election,” she said. 

“Maybe I’m wrong, I don’t know, but I do know that the Bible is true and that Daniel teaches the most high God which is one of God’s names is the one who lifts up who He will and takes down who He will and so that’s why my prayers and my actions and my work on a daily basis is to make sure that Donald Trump becomes ‘President Trump’ the first Tuesday of November this 2016,” Bachmann added. 

Let's see Mike Huckabee, Sarah Palin, Pat Robertson, and Ted Cruz all claimed, or had supporters who claimed on their behalf, that God chose them to run for President.

So if past is prologue I would suggest that a blessing from God is the kiss of death for a candidate.

However I would like to believe that if there were a God he would be doing everything in his considerable power to keep this lunatic away from the White House, not help him to get there.

During major inflection points in Donald J. Trump’s campaign, the advisers, family members and friends who make up his kitchen cabinet burn up their email accounts and phone lines gaming out how to get his candidacy on track (and what counsel he might go along with). 

But one person in the mix brings more than just his political advice. He also happens to control an hour of prime time on the Fox News Channel. 

That person is Sean Hannity. 

Mr. Hannity uses his show on the nation’s most-watched cable news network to blare Mr. Trump’s message relentlessly — giving Mr. Trump the kind of promotional television exposure even a billionaire can’t afford for long. 

But Mr. Hannity is not only Mr. Trump’s biggest media booster; he also veers into the role of adviser. Several people I’ve spoken with over the last couple of weeks said Mr. Hannity had for months peppered Mr. Trump, his family members and advisers with suggestions on strategy and messaging.

When confronted about this Hannity did not even bother to deny it:

Mr. Hannity is unapologetic about his aim. “I’m not hiding the fact that I want Donald Trump to be the next president of the United States.” After all, he says, “I never claimed to be a journalist.”

Nor has anyone else made that claim.

So let's see.

So far Donald Trump is being advised by the head of Breitbart News, the former head of Fox News, a talking head from Fox News, a nutjob who once represented Minnesota, and some woman named Kellyanne Conway who is trying to get him to control his impulse to insult people on Twitter.

I have no idea why his campaign is failing.

With the addition of Stephen Bannon to the Trump campaign racists are now bragging that they have "taken over the Republican party."

Bannon to be his campaign CEO, and while the move has mainstream pundits scratching their heads, its meaning appears to be crystal clear to David Duke and his followers. The former Klan leader and current U.S. Senate candidate closed out the week celebrating the move with Stormfront-friendly radio co-host Don Advo, who got a chuckle from Duke by saying that the Bannon hire means

Duke essentially agreed with Advo while using some reference to boll weevils that I live too far north to completely understand.

Personally I am a little surprised to hear this since I was never aware of a time when the racists DIDN'T control the Republican party.

In other "great news if you're not voting Republicans this year" it appears that Trump has another familiar face providing advice on foreign policy: 

Tea Party firebrand Michele Bachmann says she is advising Republican presidential nominee Donald Trump on foreign policy. 

 The former Minnesota congresswoman attended a fundraiser in the state for Trump on Saturday, where she revealed to the press that she has his ear on foreign policy. 

“He also recognizes there is a threat around the world, not just here in Minnesota, of radical Islam,” she said, according to MPR News. “I wish our President Obama also understood the threat of radical Islam and took it seriously.” 

If you have ever wondered if it is difficult to type while laughing hysterically the answer is yes it is difficult but I still managed to pull it off.

I know people kind of poo pooed the idea of Trump asking Sarah Palin to join his campaign, because that would indicate a lack of seriousness. But I have to ask at this point, "Would that really be any worse?" 

Speaking of Right Wing nutjobs, what's Michele "crazy eyes" Bachmann been up to lately?

So one time Congresswoman from Minnesota, Michele Bachmann has been on a tour of Israel with Family Research Council president Tony Perkins.

During the last week of this tour she appeared on Perkins' radio program, where she said this as reported by Right Wing Watch: 

“Almost every article in the paper” has to do with conflicts in Israel, Bachmann said, “and it ties with so much biblical prophecy. This week really was about biblical prophecy in many ways. And we’re seeing as events are speeding up, events are speeding up so quickly right now, and we see how relevant the Bible is, and we’re reading our newspaper, at the same time we’re learning about these biblical events, and it’s literally day by day by day, we’re seeing the fulfillment of scripture right in front of our eyes, even while we’re on the ground.” 

“We recognize the shortness of the hour,” she said, “and that’s why we as a remnant want to be faithful in these days and do what it is that the Holy Spirit is speaking to each one of us, to be faithful in the Kingdom and to help bring in as many as we can — even among the Jews — share Jesus Christ with everyone that we possibly can because, again, He’s coming soon.” 

So to be clear Bachmann is visiting the Jewish state of Israel, you know a place bursting at the seams with Jewish people, and pushing for their conversion to Christianity as quickly as possible, based on her belief that Jesus has already bought his return ticket and is on his way.

Now that does not sound very respectful of other religions does it?

But once again THAT is what motivates these fundamentalist Christians to support Israel.

They say they love the people of Israel, but only because they believe that two thirds of them need to die in order to usher in the return of Jesus. And that once that happens the rest will convert to Christianity.

In fact they love them much like they love the soldiers who they eagerly send off to die in foreign lands to protect the "homeland" and of course the flow of their precious oil.

Bachmann is only saying out loud what all of them believe in their hearts, and that is that Israel exists solely so that THEIR messiah can return, and after that the people of Israel will have served their purpose.

Carly Fiorina claims when it comes to appearance there is a double standard in how the media treats conservative female candidates and how it treats Hillary Clinton.

Republican presidential candidate Carly Fiorina suggested on Sunday that conservative women faced a "double standard" because they were attacked with sexist remarks about their appearance while Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton was not. 

Fox News host John Roberts pointed out that hosts of ABC's The View had said that Fiorina looked "demented" because she forced herself to smile throughout the Republican presidential debate. 

"Is there a double standard here for Republican women?" Roberts asked. "I can't imagine that they would say things like that about Hillary Clinton." 

"Oh, ya think? Yeah," Fiorina replied. "I think there's a double standard... There is nothing more threatening to the liberal media in general and to Hillary Clinton in particular than a conservative woman. So, of course there's a double standard." 

"Conservative women from Sarah Palin to Michele Bachmann to Carly Fiorina are long used to this," she added. "It will not stop me, it will not scare me."

First off it is totally untrue that Hillary does not receive criticism based on her appearance, or demeanor.

In fact Sarah Palin herself recently mocked Hillary for smiling after the Benghazi hearings. 

Yeah, how dare she express a human emotion while the conservatives are trying to portray her as the heartless Dragon lady.

And by the way male politicians are also called out for looking sweaty, crazy, angry, bored, or, in the case of Ben Carson, unconscious.

As for the appearances of female conservatives being judged more harshly that Hillary's appearance, it should be pointed out that Hillary has never traded on her looks in order to gain attention like Sarah Palin has done repeatedly.

Nor has she obviously subjected herself to plastic surgery in order to appear more youthful and attractive unlike some people we could mention.

So is there a double standard?

Yes, the public treats phonies, and political prick teases, far more harshly than they do more authentic female politicians.

Get over it.

Despite aggressive partisan opposition, and a ridiculously hyperbolic rally against it, Obama's Iran nuclear deal becomes yet another victory for our "lame duck" President.

I lost count. How many victories is this for me now?

Senate Democrats voted to uphold the hard-fought nuclear accord with Iran on Thursday, overcoming ferocious GOP opposition and delivering President Barack Obama a legacy-making victory on his top foreign policy priority. 

A disapproval resolution for the agreement fell two votes short of the 60 needed to move forward as Democratic and independent senators banded together against it. Although House Republicans continued to pursue eleventh-hour strategies to derail the international accord, the outcome in the Senate guaranteed that the disapproval legislation would not reach Obama's desk. 

As a result the nuclear deal will move forward unchecked by Congress, an improbable win by Obama in the face of unanimous opposition from Republicans who control Capitol Hill, GOP candidates seeking to replace him in the Oval Office and the state of Israel and its allied lobbyists in the U.S.

Gee it's hard to imagine that a rally featuring Ted Cruz, Donald Trump, Michele Bachmann, and Sarah Palin had absolutely NO impact whatsoever on this deal going forward. But there you have it.

Of course that does not mean the Republicans are done stomping their feet and holding their breath in frustration.

House Speaker John Boehner (R-Ohio) said Thursday that all options are on the table in the fight to stop the Iran nuclear deal from moving forward, including suing the president. 

 Boehner said a lawsuit against President Barack Obama over the deal is "an option that is very possible.” 

Just hours after returning from summer recess, Boehner found himself in the middle of a revolt mounted by conservative members of his caucus who want to delay a vote on a resolution of disapproval on the Iran deal, insisting the administration broke the law. 

After an afternoon meeting on Wednesday, Republicans emerged with a new strategy on how to handle votes on the deal, deciding to hold three instead of one. The first vote, which is expected Thursday, will be on a resolution stating Obama did not submit all the documents related to the Iran deal and therefore the 60-day congressional review period has yet to start. A possible lawsuit would be based on that premise.

This kind of reminds me of the drunk that gets his ass handed to him in a bar fight yet gets to his unsteady feet, puts up his dukes, and then asks the coat rack if it has had enough yet. 

Face it Republicans you lost.

Trump, quite literally, is an actor; he’s delivering the lines his audience (the Republican base) wants to hear. But he’s not the first of his kind. He’s doing what many Republicans have done in recent years: pretend to run for president in order to promote his personal brand. Trump is playing a role previously filled by people like Herman Cain and Michele Bachmann, both of whom, at one point, were front-runners in the race for the Republican nomination. And of course there’s Sarah Palin, the failed reality-TV star and once half-lucid part-time governor of Alaska who Republicans thought capable of running the country. 

Everyone (well, almost everyone) acknowledges that Trump is a bloviating clown totally unfit for public office, but is he really that much different than Herman Cain or Sarah Palin? None of these people have any business running for president or vice president or any other office. Bachmann, admittedly, was at least an experienced member of Congress, but her campaign was thoroughly unserious. Like so many of her fellow Republicans, Bachmann became a Pez dispenser of fatuous Fox News talking points – and that’s the problem. 

These people exist in the Republican Party for a reason: the GOP sold its soul to Fox News and the broader conservative mediascape years ago. Republicans are now constrained by these forces, which manufacture unhinged, absolutist narratives that dominate discourse in the party. Republicans, as a result, can’t afford to compromise or propose realistic policies – the zealots won’t let them. Worse still, any Republican who dares to step out of line gets pummeled on Fox News for weeks on end. In the face of such pressure, is it any wonder the GOP has become what it has? 

The GOP, in many respects, is no longer a legitimate governing party. They’ve become a self-perpetuating hype machine, a jobs program for conservative political entrepreneurs. When running for office, Republicans are forced to say and do stupid things in order appease their disconnected base, whose worldview is shaped almost exclusively by conservative media. When elected, Republicans continue to say and do stupid things – and for the same reasons. This is what they’ve become. Trump didn’t emerge wondrously out of a whirlwind; he’s an authentic expression of the contemporary Republican Party. If he wasn’t, he would have been laughed out of the room, not catapulted to the top of the polls by Republican voters.

Salon goes on to point out that the Republican party was not always brimming over with  right wing lunatics, and at one time actually had some reasonable ideas for the country. (I know, so hard to believe isn't it?.)

The thing about contemplating the extinction of the Republican party from the point of view of a liberal political blogger like myself is that a part of me wants to stand on the roof of my house shirtless and shout "VICTORY!" over and over at the top of my lungs, but the more logical part of me is more than a little terrified at the prospect.

Personally I think that closing up the Republican shop would be a really bad thing for the country as ANY political party given free rein could not help but to become corrupt and totalitarian over time. (And yes Democrats that certainly includes us.)

However as of right now I don't exactly know what the GOP can do to repair their image, nor do I see a viable political party waiting in the wings to take their place if they should fade away into the mists of history.

That leaves the kind of uncertainty in this country which allows truly horrible political operatives to rise up into powerful positions and for citizens to totally lose faith in their political system altogether.

As bad as the continued existence of the Republican party in its current form might be for the nation, the alternative could in fact be far worse.

Michele Bachmann predicts that President Obama's nuclear deal with Iran will usher in the Apocalypse.

In a radio interview last week, Bachmann, the former Minnesota Republican congresswoman, told "End Times" host Jan Markell, “We need to realize how close this clock is getting to the midnight hour.” 

“We in our lifetimes potentially could see Jesus Christ returning to earth and the rapture of the church,” Bachmann said. “We see the destruction, but this was a destruction that was foretold.” 

Bachmann cited the Obama administration’s nuclear negotiations with Iran as a cause. The U.S. and five partner nations are discussing a deal with Iran that would prevent the country from developing or obtaining nuclear weapons. 

“We are literally watching, month by month, the speed move up to a level we’ve never seen before with these events," Bachmann said. "Barack Obama is intent. It is his number one goal to ensure that Iran has a nuclear weapon.” 

Later in the interview, Bachmann again tied her rapture prediction to Obama’s foreign policy. 

“If you look at the president’s rhetoric, and if you look at his actions, everything he has done has been to cut the legs out of Israel and lift up the agenda of radical Islam,” she said.

So color me confused. Is this considered a good thing by Bachmann or a bad thing?

After all fundamentalist Christians like Bachmann can hardly wait to throw their granny panties at Jesus, and according the the Bible he can't show up until the Anti-Christ, which in this case I assume is Obama, starts some great war in the Middle East.

So does this mean that Bachmann, who previously freaked out about Obama starting World War 3, is now cool with Obama's Iran deal now?

Like I said, confusing.

Michele Bachmann and Dick Cheney agree that Barack Obama is the worst President in the history of the United States.

Former Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-MN) denounced the proposed nuclear deal between the U.S. and Iran in a radio interview on Wednesday, calling it “literally the worst part” of President Barack Obama’s time in office. 

“This puts Iran in a position where they would have the firepower to be able to take out not only Israel, but they would have the firepower to use intercontinental ballistic missiles against the United States with nuclear-tipped warheads,” she told Florida Live host Dan Maduri. “This virtually guarantees, in my opinion, a World War III. I think that alone would qualify Barack Obama for being the worst president that the United States has ever had to endure.”

Now I would usually simply ignore this statement as it comes out of the red lined maw of a complete imbecile who is so ignorant that she loses over works her brains cells simply by trying to remember her own phone number.

However I read that she was not alone in her determination concerning the quality of President Obama's presidency. Dick Cheney was totally vibing on what she was saying.

Former Vice President Dick Cheney says President Barack Obama is the worst commander in chief the United States has ever had, in view of the recent Iranian nuclear agreement. 

Asked about the deal by conservative radio host Hugh Hewitt on Tuesday, the former vice president said the Iranian regime is “one of the most radical” in history and that “Obama’s about to give them nuclear weapons.” 

“I vacillate between the various theories I’ve heard, but you know, if you had somebody as president who wanted to take America down, who wanted to fundamentally weaken our position in the world and reduce our capacity to influence events, turn our back on our allies and encourage our adversaries, it would look exactly like what Barack Obama’s doing,” Cheney said when asked whether he thought the president is naïve or something else. 

“I think his actions are constituted in my mind those of the worst president we’ve ever had,” he said.

You know there are days when I wonder if I could be any more proud of this President. 

I mean if both Michele Bachmann and Dick "Let's bomb the fuck out of Iraq" Cheney think he sucks, then you just know he is doing a FANTASTIC job!

Former Rep. Michele Bachmann (R-Minn.) on Tuesday starred in a cameo for "Sharknado 3," the cult-classic fantasy movie series featuring vicious, airborne sharks riding deadly tornadoes from the sea. The 2012 Republican presidential candidate was spotted with a film crew outside the White House, presumably before the disaster hits Washington, D.C. 

"I believe they are growing in size. Congress has to take this seriously because sharknado is a real phenomenon," Bachmann said in a scene, before excusing herself for a vote on the Hill a couple of miles away. 

After several takes, which were filmed among a gathering of tourists on 1600 Pennsylvania Ave., Bachmann's first -- though we certainly hope not last -- movie role came to an end.

Okay you know I think that Michele Bachmann may have just out Palin'd Sarah Palin.

It must have been hard for the creators of Sharknado 3 to create a parody of a person, who was already a parody of herself.

Okay if somebody will promise me that Bachmann is messily devoured by a flying shark at some point in the film I might actually waste 90 minutes watching this crap.

Outgoing Minnesota Congresswoman Michele Bachmann (R) took to social media late this week to congratulate herself for bringing the price of gas down under two dollars per gallon. 

The erstwhile 2012 presidential contender posted a photo of herself standing under a gasoline station’s pricing sign on Friday via the social medium Twitter. She captioned the image “$2 gas, anyone?” 

Bachmann was referring to a campaign promise from her failed run at the presidency in which she vowed to bring gas prices back down under two dollars per gallon. 

“Under President Bachmann you will see gasoline come down below $2 a gallon again,” Bachmann said at a South Carolina rally in 2012. “That will happen.”

So, who do you think gets the job of telling Bachmann that she DIDN'T win the White House in 2012?

You kind of think she might have noticed that by now, but nope.

Gee just when I think we can all agree that Sarah Palin is the most ignorant ex-politician in the world something like this happens.

You know when it comes to mocking Sarah Palin and other conservatives, I bow to the master. Bill Maher.

Now for those who have been pestering me about my next post with information from my source, that is in the works right now.

Today I am sending off an e-mail with a list of the questions that you all suggested in a previous post.

When she responds, and after a phone call or two for clarification, I will post more information.

I don't have a timeline right now, but I expect it will be within the next week or so.

As Michele Bachmann leaves Congress she claims to have no plans to run for President but still plans to be a major pain in the ass.

Rep. Michele Bachmann says now that she's leaving Congress, she can "take the handcuffs off." 

In an interview with CNN's Wolf Blitzer on Friday, the eight-year Minnesota congresswoman said she wants to play a major role in the 2016 presidential campaign -- even though she has no plans to seek the Republican nomination. 

"I intend to go around the country and speak nationally on a variety of issues. I'll be writing. I'll be affiliating with groups," she said.

Well I don't know who had Bachmann handcuffed, but that just seems wrong.

If they really wanted to control her they would have gagged her instead.

As for her plans to "go around the country and speak nationally on a variety of issues,"  I think she might be trespassing on somebody else's turf.

Besides who can really take her seriously until she gets her own channel?

Right?

Meghan McCain regrets comparing Michele Bachmann to Sarah Palin. Insulting Sarah Palin, not so much.

Meghan McCain, always outspoken, says she’s got one big regret — calling Rep. Michele Bachmann a “poor man’s Sarah Palin.” 

“That’s the one if I could take it back I would, because I just think it’s so linear and so nasty,” McCain said in an interview with POLITICO. “And I’m not a big fan of attacking another woman anymore.” 

But McCain said she doesn’t regret the comments she’s made about Sarah Palin herself. McCain’s lamented the fact that she’s still connected to her father’s former running mate and recently referred to her as a kind of “crazy aunt.” In her book “Dirty Sexy Politics,” McCain slammed Palin for bringing so much drama and stress to the campaign, noting she may have been one of the reasons her father lost. 

“You know Sarah Palin, some of the stuff I said, again I would maybe term differently,” McCain told POLITICO. “But I think the criticism I have said of her is fair. I’m surprised how much attention it still gets, just because people still talk about her all the time and I understand the curiosity, but at a certain point I wish it wouldn’t make as much news as it does, but I guess people will always love to hear about it.” 

Yeah I have NO idea why McCain would regret insulting Bachmann (I guess they're friends now or something.), but I totally agree that the best use of Sarah Palin's name these days is to be used to  as a measuring tool to determine the ignorance or incompetence of other people in the world.

And yes people will never tire of hearing people say negative things about Sarah Palin.

Michele Bachmann gets her own security detail after ISIS issues threats. Oh you know she LOVES this!

"Oh yeah those ISIS folks are trying to shut me up don'tcha know. Not very Christian of them."

Federal law enforcement officials are taking an ISIL threat against Michele Bachmann so seriously that Capitol Police have given the Minnesota Republican her own security detail. 

An online threat against Bachmann emerged recently, according to multiple law enforcement officials familiar with the situation. Last week, Bachmann was provided a security detail in response, according to the sources. 

Members of the U.S. Capitol Police’s Dignitary Protection Division were briefed on the Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant. The police security will continue until Bachmann, who will retire at the end of this Congress, is no longer in office. 

A police detail of this type typically means 24-hour protection when a member of Congress is on Capitol Hill or back in the home district.

I think Bachmann might want to take note of the fact that her security detail only lasts until she is out of office. Might want to STFU around then.

Apparently Bachmann, who has been going after ISIS like a dog with a bone, had a portion of her Voters Values speech featured in a recent ISIS propaganda video.

Personally I doubt if Bachmann is in any real danger, though I can certainly understand the terrorist group's desire to make her stop talking.

I imagine with this new credibility Bachmann is a shoo-in for a hosting position on Fox News. So we all have THAT to look forward to.

Would it be wrong for me to root for the bad guys just this once? It would right?
