Donald Trump cancels his visit to London.

Donald Trump has cancelled a visit to Britain next month to open the new US embassy in London, amid fears of mass protests.

The London mayor, Sadiq Khan, said Trump had “got the message” that many Londoners staunchly opposed his policies and actions. 

“It appears that President Trump got the message from the many Londoners who love and admire America and Americans but find his policies and actions the polar opposite of our city’s values of inclusion, diversity and tolerance,” Khan said on Friday. 

“His visit next month would without doubt have been met by mass peaceful protests. This just reinforces what a mistake it was for Theresa May to rush and extend an invitation of a state visit in the first place.”

But Trump wants everybody to know that he is not cancelling the trip due to the protests, but rather he is making a protest of his own. 

Reason I canceled my trip to London is that I am not a big fan of the Obama Administration having sold perhaps the best located and finest embassy in London for “peanuts,” only to build a new one in an off location for 1.2 billion dollars. Bad deal. Wanted me to cut ribbon-NO!

Vastly outnumbered by protesters, white nationalists cancel second rally.

White nationalists groups that rallied Saturday in Shelbyville, Tennessee, were met by a large police presence and dozens of shouting counterprotesters. Hours later, a second rally planned in nearby Murfreesboro was canceled. 

The demonstrations, which organizers called the "White Lives Matter" rally, were planned by The League of the South, a Southern nationalist group, according to Brad Griffin, the organization's public relations chief. Other extreme-right and neo-Nazi groups joined them in the protests wearing black and bearing helmets and shields. 

The groups had planned to start at Shelbyville and then head to Murfreesboro about 20 miles to the north, but the Murfreesboro rally was canceled, Griffin said. 

About 800 to 1,000 counterprotesters had gathered in Murfreesboro to oppose the demonstrations, Rutherford County Sheriff Mike Fitzhugh and Murfreesboro Interim Police Chief Michael Bowen said in a joint statement. 

Griffin announced the rally was canceled on Twitter saying that Murfreesboro was a "lawsuit trap" and that holding an event there was not worth the risk.

Just goes to show that showing up to protest DOES work. 

These were expected to be the largest white nationalist rallies since Charlootesville, and they were shut down by people who are sick and tired of seeing racists taking over their streets.

That is definitely one for the good guys.

People have every right to exercise their freedom of speech, even racist POS, however they should expect to be met by others who are also exercising their rights to freedom of speech.

And if they cannot take that kind of heat, they need to stay the fuck home.

Sarah Palin cancels book signing in Naperville, Illinois. Gee, I can't imagine why. Update!

Former U.S. vice presidential candidate Sarah Palin has scrapped her plans to appear in Naperville next week. 

Anderson's Bookshop in Naperville, which would have been the official bookseller for the event at the Chicago Marriott Naperville Hotel, announced early Wednesday afternoon that Palin, formerly governor of Alaska, called off her Dec. 1 engagement. 

The appearance was to have been in support of Palin's most recently released book, "Sweet Freedom: A Devotional." 

The announcement said the event was called off "due to circumstances out of the control of Anderson's Bookshops," but provided no additional details.

Oh I think we all know the "additional details."

The details are that the crowds are so small they could all arrive on the same city bus, and that the book is falling so hard it threatens to break the sound barrier.

After all nothing screams "failure" like a book signing with nobody there to get a book signed.

I imagine that this will not be the last cancellation, and would not be surprised if she quit the book tour altogether.

So the other day I was going to bail my oldest son, Trek, out of the county lockup (Vandalism. Kids, right?). I had my eldest daughter in the car with me and she looks over and yells, "Mama, my water broke!" I started to yell back that I wouldn't have to haul her to the hospital if she'd roped that guy into marrying her before he found out the kid wasn't his like I told her to. But then I took a deep breath and remembered what I'd read in Sarah Palin's book "Sweet Freedom" about being patient on those days when your facade as a Christian family just goes right down the crapper. Sometimes it can be hard to live vibrantly. 

So instead of cussing out my daughter, I drove her to the hospital. There, as I waited for the birth of my second - or is it my third? - illegitimate grandchild, I went on Facebook and shared a few anti-Obama memes before flipping over to Sarah Palin's page to thank her for this book, and for being somebody I could relate to. I even dipped into my Marlboro money to send her a few bucks since I got three emails from her this week begging me to donate so she can save America. 

I hope she continues to write books. They are perfect. Maybe it's because I never got past the seventh grade and read slow. Or maybe it's because she makes me proud to be a bigot. Either way, when I'm reading her books it feels like she understands, and I think it's because she's just like me. Sarah knows thinking is hard, and her books requires no thinking at all. For a conservative reader, that's Sweet Freedom.

And the review has a five star rating too!

Gotta love it.

19 Kids and Counting has been officially cancelled.

Almost two months after news broke of Josh Duggar's molestation scandal, TLC has canceled his family's reality show, 19 Kids and Counting, the Associated Press reported on Thursday, July 16. 

"After thoughtful consideration, TLC and the Duggar family have decided to not move forward with 19 Kids and Counting. The show will no longer appear on the air," the network said in an official statement, adding that "the recent attention around the Duggars has sparked a critical and important conversation about child protection." 

TLC's cancellation puts an end to months of speculation about the fate of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's famously large brood. The couple and their kids first rose to fame back in 2008, and finished their 10th season of 19 Kids this past May. 

In addition to canceling the show, the network has teamed with two child-protection organizations to raise awareness about child sexual abuse. They're planning to air an hour-long documentary about the issue next month. 

So if you have ever wondered exactly what line a crappy reality show had to cross in order for TLC to cancel it, the answer is "diddle your sister."

Gee I wonder what all of those conservatives who raced to Josh Duggar's defense will say about this?

Now that he's no longer getting hitched Dakota Meyer is available to give a speech at the opening of a Piggly Wiggly near you.

After giving the lowdown on Meyer getting dumped like a bad batch of moose chili the Washington Post reports that he is now available for speeches:  

So it appears Meyer’s got time on his hands now (that is, if he’s not too busy googling himself to read some of the wilder theories circulating about his wedding cancellation). Which might explain the Memorial Day-themed pitch that made its way to our inbox this week from a speaker’s bureau hawking the Afghanistan vet as a “military hero” whose speech would be just the thing for one’s next gathering. “He talks to audiences about being accountable and making the most out of trying circumstances,“ reads the pitch from Leading Authorities, a D.C.-based outfit that reps journalists, scholars, former pols and military brass. “His story is an inspiring example of taking advantage of the opportunities life gives you.” 

At least the 26 year-old was lower on the list of suggested speakers than Gen. Stanley McChrystal and Robert O’Neill, the member of Seal Team Six who claims to have fired the shot that killed Osama bin Laden. Though if the “trying circumstances” included what it’s like to be part of the roving sideshow that is life with the Palin family (stretch Hummers and brawls! Wacky televised rants!), audiences might be riveted. 

Leading Authorities’ Web site lists his fees as $10,000-$35,000, depending on the location. That’s a bit less than his was-supposed-to-be MIL, whose rates at one point reportedly reached $100,000. (That last part stand for Mother-in-Law by the way. I read it wrong at first as well.)

I have to say that the Washington Post is not exactly holding back in their disdain for the Palin family.

When I first saw this I was halfway convinced that this was probably something that Palin set up for Meyer before she found out he had a secret first wife.

However I surfed that Leading Authorities website and while they do not represent Palin they DO represent Nicolle Wallace, which suggests to me that Meyer might have set this up on his own.

By the way for all of you who seem confused as to who dumped who, I would like to remind you that on May 15, Meyer posted this on his Instagram account.

While on the very next day Bristol posted this picture of herself back in Alaska flashing a ringless finger.

And this one as well.

 So no, Meyer is NOT the one who cancelled the wedding. And make no mistake, it is indeed cancelled.

So the question that I have is does that $10,000 speaking fee only get you a few war stories, and tales of PTSD, alcoholism and suicide attempts?

Or does it perhaps also buy you stories of an even more dangerous episode in Dakota Meyer's life?

Sounds like the kind of question that the National Enquirer might want to pursue. 

Ted Nugent reacts to his lost gig at the Indian casino with usual quiet grace. He refers to his detractors as "unclean vermin."

“The Motor City Madman” had been schedule to perform for Couer D’Alene Casino in Worley, Idaho on Aug. 4 until the Southern Poverty Law Center caught tribal officials by asking for a comment on Monday. Later that day, the performance had been canceled. 

“I take it as a badge of honor that such unclean vermin are upset by me and my positive energy,” Nugent told Gannett Wisconsin Media on Tuesday. Put your heart and soul into everything you do and nobody can stop you. Sometimes you give the world the best you got and you get kicked in the teeth. Give the world the best you got anyway.” 

“By all indicators, I don’t think they actually qualify as people, but there has always been a lunatic fringe of hateful, rotten, dishonest people that hate happy, successful people,” he continued. “I believe raising hell and demanding accountability from our elected employees is Job One for every American. I am simply doing my job.”

Oh yeah, THAT should convince them that they are all wrong about Ted Nugent's character.

I love how a founding member of the lunatic fringe projects that label on anybody who dares to point out his own lunacy.

For a self identified tough guy Nugent certainly gets his panties in a wad fairly easily.

Native American tribe cancels Ted Nugent's appearance after learning he is a racist. Apparently they did not know that.

A Native American tribe has canceled an Aug. 4 concert by Ted Nugent at its casino. 

The Coeur d'Alene Tribe on Monday said that the cancellation of the concert at the casino in the northwest Idaho city of Worley was because of the rocker's "racist and hate-filled remarks." 

The tribe says it booked Nugent without realizing he espoused "racist attitudes and views." The tribe did not detail which of Nugent's specific views it opposes.

Okay first off I am surprised that AOL is still operating. I thought they went the way of the floppy disk.

Second how could somebody NOT know that old poopy pants was a racist?

And what clued them in?

Was it calling President Obama a "subhuman mongrel?"

Was it when he referred to murdered teen Trayvon Martin as a "Dope smoking, racist, gangsta wannabe?"

Or was it perhaps when he referred to REAl Americans as "working hard, playing hard, white motherfucking shit kickers, who are independent and get up in the morning?"

Well whatever it was aren't we glad that the Coeur d'Alene Tribe finally managed to get Nugent's number and kick him the hell out of their casino?

I imagine there are many more cancelled gigs coming his way.

Ronan Farrow may lose his new MSNBC show because, well because Ronan Farrow should never have HAD an MSNBC show.

The New York Daily News‘ Confidenti@l blog reported on Monday morning that, according to insider sources, Ronan Farrow‘s brand-new MSNBC talk show is already on the fritz reportedly because of disappointing ratings and a lackluster on-air presence. 

“He sort of stinks on TV,” the anonymous network source told the newspaper. “He hasn’t turned out to be the superstar they were hoping for.” 

According to the paper, MSNBC’s strategy was to bring Farrow onto the network in the hopes that his younger, social media-based audience would follow suit. “But that hasn’t happened,” the source declared. “Just because someone is a boy genius-turned-Twitter star doesn’t mean they deserve their own TV show.” Farrow’s show debuted with lackluster numbers in the key 25-54 demo.

I know that some of you got a little testy with me when I revealed yesterday, that Farrow's show was the only program that actually made me turn to Fox News, but now you see that I am far from alone in my disapproval. 

Now look I am actually a big fan of the younger crop of hosts that MSNBC has these days. Crystal Ball, Alex Wagner, Chris Hayes, Steve Kornacki, and Ari Melber are all on my must watch list.

However Farrow always comes off as a high school kid who won a "Be a Newscaster for a Day" contest, and is struggling to sound like he knows what to do while delivering painful segues and stumbling through interviews with his much more polished interviewees.

To be honest along with AL Sharpton and Ed Schultz I have also had trouble listening to Andrea Mitchell, who has a hesitant, uncertain, manner in delivering her lines that I find maddening.

But at least Andrea gives a good interview, and she really knows her topic.

I am not sure that with more time on the job Farrow will improve or not, but I just know that IF his program survives, I will continue to channel surf away from it in the future.

The other day I actually found myself watching Rachael Ray. Fricking Rachael Ray!

This madness must stop!

I’m sorry Fox cancelled all my scheduled interviews tonight because I sure wanted to take the opportunity on the air to highlight Senator John McCain’s positive contributions to America, to honor him, and to reflect on what a biased media unfairly put him through four years ago tonight. Granted, our honored and esteemed war hero has gone through much more than the liberal media can ever do to him in their efforts to harm this patriot. I look forward to hearing his words to his fellow Americans tonight more than any of the other convention speeches. God bless John McCain. Thank you for everything. And happy birthday, my friend.

Okay now THAT is just awesome!

I knew it was coming, but even I am a little stunned that it happened during the GOP convention.

You know I was watching Hardball earlier and while Matthews was interviewing Christine O'Donnell he asked the crowd if they wanted to see Sarah Palin on that stage and there was a resounding "NO!"

We knew she was done before, but now she is "overdone!"

Update: It looks like Fox News has  issued a statement. This courtesy of Mediaite:

“Our plans changed based on the fact that the RNC condensed the schedule of speeches from four nights to three. We look forward to having Governor Palin back as soon as we can.”

Yeah okay.  That sounds completely plaus...oh who do they think they are kidding? The number of speeches during the convention has NOTHING to do with Sarah Palin getting time on the air or not.

They must think their viewers are idio.....oh that's right, I forgot.
