Video game makers blame Satan for sabotaging their attempts to launch a Bible based adventure game.

The makers of a Biblical role-playing game that follows the life of Abraham are blaming their lack of success and inability to fund the project on the influence of Satan.

Speaking with Polygon, Richard Gaeta, co-founder of Phoenix Interactive explained the company’s problems starting cropping up right after the launch of their Kickstarter campaign for Bible Chronicles: The Call of Abraham.

“I believe that, 100 percent,” Gaeta said.

“It’s very tangible,” explained business partner Martin Bertram. “From projects falling through and people that were lined up to help us make this a success falling through. Lots of factors raining down on us like fire and brimstone.”

Phoenix Interactive’s Kickstarter failed to reach its $100,000 target, only managing to raise $19,000.

Executives with troubled video game company see forces other than the marketplace at play.

"If Satan is rallying some of his resources to forestall, delay, or kill this project, I think, this must be a perceived threat to his kingdom,” said Ken Frech, a religious mentor on the project. “I fully would expect something like this to have spiritual warfare. Look at the gospel accounts of demons and so forth. That’s reality. Many Americans don’t believe it anymore. That doesn’t change reality.”

In the action-RPG game Bible Chronicles: The Call of Abraham, gamers are an attendant in Abraham’s party, witnessing Biblical events, while playing an active role fetching, fighting and seeking.

The developers point out that game will not be a glossy retelling of the Biblical story, but will follow a strict literal Biblical line.

You know I don't game all that often anymore, but I do pay attention to up and coming content just to see if anything catches my eye.

What I have noticed is that tons of game ideas never make it past the initial planning stages, and simply die on the vine due to lack of interest.

There are many reasons for this, bad marketing, bad development, bad idea, but I have NEVER heard one of these developers blame the Devil.

It must be nice to never have to take responsibilities for your failures, and instead have some imaginary boogeyman to blame them on.

I'm going to try that the next time I forget where I parked my car.

"No I'm NOT senile, I know exactly where I parked the car, but clearly Satan moved it."

Oh yeah, that should make me seem perfectly rational.

Netflix just lost Sarah Palin's business, and possibly all of her remaining supporters as well. Gee, how WILL they survive?

Courtesy of The Examiner:

Most major corporations avoid injecting themselves into controversial subjects like politics, but Netflix just couldn't help itself when it saw the chance to take a swipe at Gov. Sarah Palin. Last night, Netflix used its Twitter account to chime in on the #SarahPalinFilms trend, by referencing a movie about Nazis.

The #SarahPalinFilms hashtag trend began Thursday as a way for Twitter users to take shots at the former Alaskan governor and Republican vice presidential candidate. Netflix's official Twitter account jumped on the bandwagon Thursday night by tweeting the hashtag and quoting the movie title "Iron Sky." Netflix also attached a photo from the film.

"Iron Sky" is a low-budget sci-fi film in which Nazis from the moon return to Earth to exact revenge on America, now led by a Palin-like caricature serving as President.

Okay well I have to admit that I watched this movie awhile back, and though it was low budget, it WAS pretty entertaining.

Especially the character playing a Palin-like POTUS (Don't panic, it is all done tongue in cheek.). They show her riding a treadmill, using all kinds of Palinesque phrases, and essentially putting her needs ahead of everybody elses.

In other words a spot on acting job.

By the way the Palin POTUS is not technically a moon Nazi in the film, they just convert her and use her to take over the planet. Small quibble.

Of course this minor factoid did not stop the Twitter loving Palin-bots from getting all "wee-weed" up.

Yes because ONLY conservatives who like Sarah Palin pay taxes.

You get the drift. If Netflix did not take down their offensive tweet they were going to lose good taxpaying conservative customers to Redbox.

Well the tweet stayed up so I assume that Netflix has now been driven out of business.

What they are still up and running?

Gee, does that mean that MOST people consider Sarah Palin a joke, and that her left over raggedy band of paint eating supporters do not have anywhere NEAR the numbers it would take to threaten anybody into cowering before them anymore?

Yep, I think that is exactly what this means!

Ann Romney falls back on favorite conservative excuse for political failure. It was the media's fault.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Ann Romney says that she blames the media for her husband’s loss in the 2012 presidential election because the “universally felt opinion” is that reporters wanted President Barack Obama to be re-elected.

“I’m happy to blame the media,” Ann Romney told Fox News host Chris Wallace in an interview that aired on Sunday.

“Do you think the media was in the tank for Barack Obama?” the Fox News host wondered.

“Anytime you’re running for office, you always think you’re being portrayed unfairly,” Ann Romney explained. “And of course on our side, we believe that there’s more bias in favor of the other side. I think that’s a pretty universally felt opinion.”

She added that the the president had not portrayed her husband, former Republican presidential nominee Mitt Romney, fairly during the campaign.

That is such whiny ass bullshit.

The problem with Mitt Romney was that the American people DID get to see the real him, especially in those 47% videos unearthed by Mother Jones.

Before that the Obama campaign had been using the oppositional research done during the Republican primary by Newt Gingrich, Rick Perry, and others. But once those tapes came out showing how Romney acted among his peers when he did not realize he was being filmed, THAT drove home the point of who he "really" is.

His wife is just pissed because it never occurred to her that their destiny to be the first Mormons in the White House could have been derailed by one of those darkies.

What did somebody call Ann Romney? "Ann of Clean Stables?"

Simply put we dodged a bullet in 2008, and another one in 2012. Now let's work together to make sure the one aimed at us in 2016 misses its mark as well.

DWTS pro WANTED to be paired with Bristol Palin this season. Want to guess why?

Valentin Chmerkovskiy with Elisabetta Canalis
Courtesy of the Examiner:

Val(Valentin Chmerkovskiy), a relative newcomer to DWTS, wasn't too successful coming into Season 15, the all-star season. He had been paired up with Elisabetta Canalis and Sherri Shepherd for his first two seasons. He really had high hopes for Sherri Shepherd, but they were eliminated in the third week. So Val decided he would set things up the way he liked them for the all-stars.

"Going into [Season 15] I had very different views and my imagination was taking me in a different way," Val revealed to Entertainment Tonight. "My expectations were very, very different. I was really happy to the idea of Bristol Palin, only because I was so discouraged with my last two seasons that I was like, look, I'm going into the all-stars season, which is definitely going to be the most competitive, and the last two seasons I've been eliminated in [Week] 2, 3. ... I was like, Bristol? At least I'll have an excuse. At least they'll be a reason and I'll be like 'Well, I did my best.'"

Yep, THAT'S the way everybody sees the Palins these days. Destined to fail.

It must be so much fun around the Palin dining table arguing about which one of you is the biggest source of embarrassment.

Is it crazy word salad spewer Sarah, pimp daddy Todd, eternally clumsy/pregnant Bristol, wild child Willow, or the pathetic coat tail clinging "Two Chucks?"

You know I think the only one who can really feel proud of himself is Trig.

Hell if you think about it he may be the smartest, most talented, and most ethical one of the bunch.

GQ Magazine names Mitt Romney the LEAST influential person of 2012.

Courtesy of GQ:

Was anyone inspired by Mitt Romney? Did anyone vote enthusiastically for Mitt Romney? Of course not. Voting for Romney is like hooking up with the last single person at the bar at 4 a.m. The only successful thing he did this year was embody every black stand-up comedian's impression of a white person. Thank God the election's over. No more endless photos of Mitt staring winsomely off-camera with that attempted smile on his face. No more glaring campaign mishaps week after week after week. No more labored media efforts to make him look like anything other than Sheldon Adelson's pampered money Dumpster. Good-bye, Mitt. I hope you enjoy the rest of your life quietly ensconced at Lake Winnipesaukee, blissfully ignorant of the plight of anyone who doesn't have $300 million squirreled away in the Bahamas.

Seriously does it get ANY better than this?

And here I thought I was just about finished laughing at Mitt the Twit.

Go ahead and click the link to see the rest of the "25 Least Influential People of 2012." (I have to say I am not in agreement with all of their choices, ESPECIALLY number seven.)

Oh, and exactly how comprehensive of a list can it be if it does not even have Sara hpalin on it?

Unless of course, could it be that she is SO lacking in influence that she couldn't even MAKE it onto this list?

Oh, now THAT is a delicious thought!

Just in case you did NOT know that John McCain is a senile old fart, completely divorced from reality. Update.

"Picking Sarah Palin for VP? Uh, well, um, sure it was the best idea ever! Just curious, did she send you to ask me"
Courtesy of the Huffington Post:

John McCain has no regrets about the biggest and most controversial decision of his unsuccessful 2008 presidential campaign. Speaking to Sean Hannity on Tuesday evening in New Hampshire, McCain said naming Sarah Palin his running mate was "still the best decision I've ever made."

The "best idea I've ever made?" WTF?

How bad is this guy's decision making abilities?

And why can't this asshole just admit that plucking her out of he wilds of Wasilla and plopping her, and her hillbilly clan, onto the national stage was perhaps the worst thing to happen to this county since the Japanese made a surprise visit to Honolulu?

I wonder, is it ego, or fear of the dreaded Palin curse? Remember how we once considered him a war hero?

Well of course Fox News had to quickly inform Palin of what McCain had said about her and ask for her response.

Image courtesy of Love & Knishes
Sadly though nobody could make out what Palin had to say due to the presence of an unruly new hairpiece.

Personally I think it is a vast improvement.

Update: By the way, since we are talking about Palin, it should be noted that the so-called "Palin Earthquake" did not even add up to a flea fart, as she did not even receive one, that's right NOT ONE, vote in the New Hampshire primary.

"Best decision ever" McCain?

The epic defeat of "The Undefeated."

You know sometimes an image is almost all that you need to make your point.

This film was doomed from the start, which anybody who was really in Alaska, and knew about Sarah Palin's time as governor, could have easily predicted.  In fact I do believe that I did.

However besides simply indicating how bad this movie was, it is also an indication of how truly inconsequential the Palin-bots have become.  After all they both begged and threatened people to get them to go see this film, and virtually NOBODY responded.

It is very hard NOT to see this as a dry run for Palin's Presidential campaign.

If she does declare in September I have little doubt that the result will look very much like the box office results pictured above. In other words, in the immortal words of my daughter, it will be another EPIC FAIL!

(H/T to Box Office Mojo.)

Update: It looks like Malia wrote something about this as well.
