Okay perhaps it's just me, but I found that completely offensive.
For one thing Martin Luther King Jr. was a supporter of Planned Parenthood. And was even given the Margaret Sanger award in 1966.
For another thing MLK was dedicated to freedom, and that included the freedom for women to determine their own destiny and maintain control over their reproductive systems.
So you might ask at this point "Gryphen, in which dark recesses of the internet did you even find such a sacrilegious and disgustingly opportunistic video?"
And to that I would answer, "Well where else? I found it over on Brancy's blog of course.
Because apparently Nancy French did not get the memo that after given birth to her second out of wedlock child her client is no longer such a great spokesperson for responsible pro-life values.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Conservatives attempt to have bust of Planned Parenthood founder Margaret Sanger removed from the Smithsonian.
Courtesy of the AP:
Conservatives are demanding that a Smithsonian Institution art and history museum remove its bust of the founder of Planned Parenthood in their latest offensive against the organization.
But the National Portrait Gallery says it won't remove its bust of Margaret Sanger, an early leader of the birth control movement. It has been displayed since 2010.
Sanger, who died in 1966, also supported eugenics, a now-condemned effort to discourage reproduction by criminals and others with undesirable traits. Brent Bozell, chairman of the conservative group ForAmerica, and a group of black pastors say Sanger favored using eugenics to limit the population of blacks, a claim that some Republican lawmakers have echoed but for which the evidence is contested.
"It's one and the same," Bozell said Wednesday of Sanger's support for eugenics and her role in starting two organizations that eventually became Planned Parenthood. He said Sanger wanted to "sterilize out of existence the poor, the blacks."
The conservative push to remove Sanger's bust comes after anti-abortion activists have released eight videos showing secretly recorded conversations in which Planned Parenthood officials discuss how the organization sometimes provides fetal tissue to medical researchers. The videos have prompted investigations by several congressional committees and efforts by Republicans in Congress and several states to block government payments to the group.
The move against Sanger's bust has the support of presidential candidate Sen. Ted Cruz, R-Texas, and Rep. Louie Gohmert, R-Texas, who are circulating a letter to other lawmakers. A draft of that letter calls the bust's display by the museum "an affront both to basic human decency and the very meaning of justice."
Of course this has absolutely NOTHING to do with Sanger's perceived racism and everything to do with attacking Planned Parenthood.
You can bet that if conservatives gave a shit about racism then Donald Trump would not be leading in the polls right now.
And if they want to start removing the busts of people who supported racism in this country, perhaps they ought to start with this one:
After all Thomas Jefferson owned hundreds of slaves and even fathered children by at least one of the women he owned.
Perhaps we should recognize that NONE of our heroes are perfect, however in many cases their contributions to this country far outweigh the perceived negatives in their character.

Sarah Palin accuses Liberals of rewriting history. Seriously?
I have actually already dealt with the above graphic last month using actual comments from Palin's own Facebook page.
Let's see what else she has.
Courtesy of Revisionist history poster girl Sarah Palin's Facebook page:
Liberals are famous for conveniently rewriting their history. Just take a look at some of the photos below for a few of their most blatant examples, including the lie that they were always for gay marriage and against racism.
Here Palin offers the graphic up above, as well as a purposeful misrepresentation of a Margaret Sanger quote, and one each showing that President Obama and Hillary Clinton's opinion on gay marriage has evolved. Oooh, shocking!
The false history teaching that liberals opposed slavery, wanted women to vote, exclusively led the civil rights movements is all Orwellian talk (Orwellian talk?), for the truth is the opposite. It's been the party of Lincoln and Reagan on the side of justice in each of those issues. (Actually the Republican party of Lincoln, was vastly different than the Republican party of Ronald Reagan.) We led the fight against slavery and for women's suffrage, and with Martin Luther King, Jr. we fought against racism and for peace. (Well it looks like somebody needs a history lesson, and it sure as hell isn't the liberals.) Meanwhile the Left still celebrates their strange icons including KKK leader Sen. Robert Byrd, the anti-American terrorist bomber Bill Ayers, and the violently racist eugenicist Margaret Sanger, plus others on the opposite side of righteous justice.
Please add your own examples of leftwing hypocrisy in the comment section below and never hesitate holding the intolerant, judgmental types accountable for their hypocrisy. (Well we should all look forward to reading those poorly researched gems from her followers. However if the pattern holds from the last time there will actually be more comments that refute her point of view rather than add to it.) When you let them get away with ignoring facts and stomping out your voice you become nothing more than lemmings cowardly led over the cliff. America is better than that. Stiffen your spine, call them out, do not retreat.

| Take that liberals!!! |
Yes stiffen your spine and learn actual history, not the stuff that certain people, say in Texas for example, are trying to teach you in order to hide the truth.
I could not agree more.
As I mention above this is a retread of an older post, that Palin seems to have repurposed in order to have some content for her Facebook page.
Which of course has become much more important since it is now her sole method of getting attention from her supporters and the media.
Unfortunately for her this is an extraordinary weak attempt to attack liberals, and even a school child could poke holes in it without even breaking a sweat.

Sarah Palin is very upset that some are suggesting that racist Planned Parenthood founder replace totally non-racist President Andrew Jackson on the twenty dollar bill. Wait......

"In the early 20th century the progressive movement was caught up in a racist pseudo science called Eugenics. (There is no evidence to suggest that Eugenics was a progressive movement. In fact during its heyday it was widely accepted all over the world.) The core idea of Eugenics was to use birth control, abortion, and selective breeding to weed out the so-called "unfit." To create a, quote unquote, 'cleaner human race.' The idea of course is horrifying. And it was this very drive to create a 'cleaner,' or purer race, that led ultimately to the Nazi Holocaust. One of the foremost American leaders of this horrid Eugenics movement was a gal named Margaret Sanger. (Yeah as it turns out she was NOT one of the "foremost American leaders.") You may have heard her name because she went on to found Planned parenthood. This is the foundation of Planned Parenthood. The nation's largest abortion provider. Margaret Sanger? She specifically wrote about her belief in using abortion to reduce the numbers of minorities, and immigrants, in order to create, what she thought of, as a 'cleaner,' or rather a 'whiter' race. (No that's false, in fact Sanger was vehemently against abortion and argued that use of birth control, which she recommended for all races, would make it increasingly unnecessary.) She was essentially a racist, white supremest, in her theories and in her writings. Look it up. ( I did!) But instead of rejecting Margaret Sanger, and her hateful ideas about race, well Left Wing progressives actually revere her. (Tape of Hillary Clinton saying she admires Margaret Sanger.) She's a heroine in their eyes. They love her. In fact one feminist wrote in the New York Times that 'Margaret Sanger should replace Andrew Jackson on the twenty dollar bill.' Well this must never happen, We should never admire someone whose life's work was built on racism. And bigotry. That says a lot about those who support Margaret Sanger, and her beliefs, and this new drive to replace Jackson on the twenty dollar bill with this racist."
As it turns out this attack of racism against Margaret Sanger is a very aggressive meme started by the anti-choice crowd and it has spread like wildfire. So of course Palin has to sprint after that bandwagon and hp aboard.
But is it true?
PBS has reported that while Sanger DID align herself with Eugenics in 1920's and 30's, it does not seem that she was focused on preventing the birth of more minorities, but instead on restricting the birth of what she termed "defectives." Most likely referring to birth defects.
Another researcher and educator at The Daily Kos found the evidence to support Sanger's racism to be paper thin.
A little Googling makes it pretty clear that Palin's argument, like all of her arguments, is based on misinformation, lies, and the cherry picking of actual facts.
As for not admiring someone "whose life's work was built on racism" that more or less describes a certain President we all know.
Courtesy of Slate:
It was unfathomable that thousands of Native American men, women, and children were forced to march West, sometimes freezing to death or starving because U.S. soldiers wouldn’t let them bring extra food or blankets. It was hard to hear that the Choctaw Nation lost up to a third of its population on the death march. It was disorienting to learn that what amounted to ethnic cleansing had come at the insistence of an American president.
But then it was lunchtime, and we pulled out our wallets in the cafeteria. Andrew Jackson was there, staring out from every $20 bill. We had been carrying around portraits of a mass murderer all along, and had no idea.
Andrew Jackson engineered a genocide. He shouldn’t be on our currency.
You know I have a very simple formula for determining who actually is, or is not, a racist.
If Sarah Palin supports them, then they're probably a racist.
If she attacks them.....well you can do the math.
