A ton of the money that Trump is raising for his reelection bid is going to legal fees.

I'm like a reverse Robin Hood. I take from the stupid and give to me.
Courtesy of CNN:

More than one-fifth of the $3.9 million that President Donald Trump's 2020 re-election campaign has spent this year has gone to legal fees, the campaign's latest quarterly Federal Election Commission filing shows.

About $835,000 in payments for "legal consulting" were made to eight firms and the Trump Corporation, with the most -- $347,000 -- going to Jones Day. Another $185,000 went to the firm Larocca Hornik Rosen Greenberg & Blaha. About $24,000 went to the Trump Corporation.

The steep legal bills come amid a probe into whether the Trump campaign was involved in Russia's interference in the 2016 presidential election as well as a legal battle with adult film star Stormy Daniels.

In the first two months of 2018, the campaign paid $93,181.25 to the firm of Charles Harder, the attorney representing Trump in the Stormy Daniels case.

Well to be honest, this is probably a good idea since it is really hard to run for office while sitting in a federal prison.

But don't worry deplorables, Trump isn't just wasting your hard earned money on lawyer's fees, he is also using it to support his various businesses.

Trump's campaign has also spent about $150,000 at Trump businesses, including the legal fees, per the FEC report. That includes about $68,000 at the Trump International Hotel in Washington, DC, to cover costs including event rental space, hotel stays and parking.

The campaign spent another $58,000 on costs listed as "rent" divided between three recipients: Trump Plaza, Trump Restaurants and Trump Tower.

I am not certain that it is true, but I heard that if you look up the word "suckers" in the dictionary that this is the photo that you see.

That may not be factually correct, but I BELIEVE it to be true.

Another racist rant from a Trump supporter caught on video.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

“I voted for Trump — so there,” the woman shouted. “You want to kick me out for that? And look who won.”

The angry shopper claimed she had been discriminated against because she was white and had voted for Trump in the lengthy rant recorded Wednesday at Michael’s in the city’s Lakeview neighborhood.

The woman, who has not been identified, noticed other customers had pulled out their phones to record her harangue, which witnesses said went on for more than a half hour, and she angrily confronted the woman whose video went viral.

“I don’t know what you think you’re videoing, lady,” the woman says. “I was just discriminated against by two black women, and you being a white woman, you’re literally thinking that that’s okay? You standing there with your baby thinking that’s okay.”

Kind of reminds me of that guy on the plane from yesterday

Look I know that this is probably a little unfair to find these videos and use them to illustrate the average Trump voter.

However having said that perhaps a Trump supporter should attempt to get themselves videotaped doing something nice for a minority, or helping an elderly person who just lost their Medicare across the street, or perhaps just acting like a rational human being?

Because all they seem to be doing right now is confirming that the majority of Trump voters are indeed "deplorable."

Meet Betsy DeVos, Donald Trump's choice as Secretary of Education.

And here I thought that Jerry Falwell Jr. would be the worst possible choice.

This is going to be a VERY bad four years for public education in this country. Let's hope it survives until the next presidency/

Just a couple of Donald Trump fans enjoying a football game.

Courtesy of Think Progress:

Two fans at Saturday night’s University of Wisconsin football game wore a costume featuring President Obama in a noose, with Donald Trump holding the rope.

One of the pair sported an Obama mask and had a noose around their neck. They also had a Hillary Clinton mask. The other person wore a Trump mask and held the noose to give the appearance Trump was hanging either Obama or Clinton.

You know I don't think that a basket is quite big enough to hold all of Trump's "deplorables."

Perhaps a garbage truck would be a more appropriate container.

On last night Real Time Bill Maher warns us about Donald Trump's "Basket of Deplorables" coming to Washington, and brags that he made Trump produce his birth certificate in court.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

In a segment that is long overdue, HBO Real Time host Bill Maher took a long look at the army of advocates GOP presidential nominee Donald Trump deploys to cable TV every night — using them as a preview of who you can expect to be running the country if he becomes president.

Maher began by listing off some of the more prominent talking heads who are cable regulars sent out each day to defend the worst that Trump has to offer.

“Steve Cortes and Katrina Pierson and Chris Christie and Omarosa are trundling down the corridors of power, bumping into the walls,” he explained. “We’re thinking of giving these people the reins of power? I wouldn’t put them on a bus without asking the driver to make sure they didn’t miss their stop.”

At the end of the bit, which was extremely funny, Maher brags about the lawsuit that Trump filed against him during which he actually produced his birth certificate to prove that his mother did not fuck an ape.

All I can say is that I can hardly wait to see what SNL does with all of this tonight.

Well at least they know it.

Dad & other family members brought friends to hear Ann Coulter in Anchorage tonight - their shirts say it.

I am not sure I was even aware that Ann Coulter was coming up here to spew her venom onto the people of Alaska. Though to be fair I might have known and simply blocked it in order to sleep through the night without fear of waking up screaming into the darkness.

And of course there is not enough alcohol in the state to have convinced me to attend in person.

I have paid my dues in the past by attending Joe Miller rallies and Sarah Palin speeches, so I have no intention of subjecting my now fragile mental health to the likes of Ann "I have an Adam's Apple" Coulter.

It does not appear that Palin herself attended either, but that could be because Anchorage has a roadblock to keep her out since her family mauled some of our citizens a few years back.

Oh well, once the exorcists have finished driving the Coulter demons out of the Egan Center things should quickly return to normal around here.

Or what passes for normal here in Alaska.

A little perspective.

If Donald Trump had referred to anybody as a "basket of deplorables" it would count as the LEAST offensive thing he has said.

New Donald Trump campaign advertisement going after Hillary for her "basket of deplorables" comment.

From the ad.

Hillary Clinton: "You could put half of Trump supporters in what I call the 'basket of deplorables.' The racists, sexists, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamophobic, you name it."

Voice over: "People like you, you, and you. Deplorable. Do you know what's deplorable? Hillary Clinton viciously demonizing hard working people like you."

Okay so correct me if I'm wrong, but is this ad agreeing with Hillary that Trump supporters are racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, and Islamophobic? (People like you, you, and you.)

I mean it does not seem to argue that those words do not describe the Trump supporters. It only seems to take issue with the fact that Hillary calls them "deplorable."

It's like they went "Racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, and Islamophobic? Sure. But deplorable? That really hurts."

In other words Trump is essentially acknowledging that his base is made up of the lowest forms of humanity on this planet. He just doesn't think they should be insulted for being the lowest forms of humanity on the planet.

I kind of think we have made somewhat of a breakthrough here.

Now all we have to do is convince the undecideds that they do not want to be affiliated with that "deplorable," yet overly sensitive, group of people.

Eezy peezy.

Prominent white nationalists gather to celebrate their favorite presidential candidate. Go ahead, guess which one.

Prominent white nationalists touted their growing media influence in the wake of Donald Trump’s rise to the Republican presidential nomination on a wave of bigoted rhetoric at a September 9 press conference titled “What Is The Alt-Right?”

The press conference, organized by white nationalist “think tank” the National Policy Institute (NPI), aimed to explain how the “alt-right” -- a movement of fringe modern white supremacists -- had “become a force in American politics in such a short period of time.” The racist movement has garnered renewed interest from media outlets in the wake of Hillary Clinton’s August 25 speech decrying the Trump campaign’s cozy relationship with the movement, including the hiring of Breitbart News executive chairman and alt-right leader Stephen Bannon as campaign CEO.

The press conference featured three prominent white nationalist speakers: NPI president Richard Spencer, who coined the term “alt-right;” Jared Taylor, who publishes the white nationalist online magazine American Renaissance; and Peter Brimelow, who founded the white nationalist anti-immigration site VDare.com.

The press conference came just hours before Clinton told supporters at a fundraiser that half of Trump’s supporters belonged to a “basket of deplorables” -- people who harbor "racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic” animus who have been “lifted … up” by the Republican nominee. Indeed, the white nationalist movement has provided Trump with some of his most fervent supporters and praised him for helping to grow their ranks.

Yeah Hillary Clinton should never have offered any regrets.

Her description was right on the money.
