The "Trump Effect" is negatively affecting employee morale and workplace cohesion, while also hurting productivity in corporate America.

Courtesy of NBC News:

Donald Trump’s abrasive style isn’t just making it hard to run the White House — it’s handicapping corporate America, as well.

HR and leadership experts say a “Trump effect” has made a new norm of bad behavior, from dropping f-bombs to fudging details on resumes to spreading false rumors about co-workers, all of which stifles teamwork, dampens morale, and hurts productivity.

“It violates all the norms and the niceties of how one should behave,” said Gary Namie, director and co-founder of the Workplace Bullying Institute. “What it’s exposing is the very, very dark side of our society.”

Career coaches report an increased willingness to engage in unethical behavior, like lying about past experience or performance in a job interview, or making a promise with no intention of keeping it.

“It’s allowing individuals who may be on the fence when it comes to a moral compass to engage in bad behavior. It allows them to justify that behavior, it gives them an excuse,” said Roy Cohen, a career counselor and executive coach. “We expect people to take the high ground… that’s where the reversal seems to be happening. Bad behavior is almost a badge of honor,” he said.

The acrimony is fracturing workplace cohesion. According to an April survey by the Workplace Bullying Institute, 46 percent of workers said their relationships with colleagues have deteriorated since the election last November.

Oh so it is not only the racists and xenophobes who came out of the woodwork during the campaign and after the election, now it is also sexists, liars, and vulgarians.

Well I'm certainly tired of all this winning, how about the rest of you?

It turns out that Iowa Senate hopeful Joni Ernst supports arresting government agents for implementing Obamacare, and is kind of a liar as well. You know I wish I was surprised.

Courtesy of TPM:

State Sen. Joni Ernst, the Republican nominee for U.S. Senate in Iowa, once said she would support legislation that would allow "local law enforcement to arrest federal officials attempting to implement" Obamacare.

Ernst voiced her support for that, as well as supporting legislation that would "nullify" Obamacare in a Iowa State Legislative Candidates survey for Ron Paul's libertarian-aligned Campaign for Liberty in 2012.

The question was: "Will you support legislation to nullify ObamaCare and authorize state and local law enforcement to arrest federal officials attempting to implement the unconstitutional health care scheme known as ObamaCare?" Ernst answered that question as "yes."

Isn't suggesting that Federal officials be arrested for doing their jobs, or that force should be used to show resistance straight out of the sovereign citizen's handbook?  (I think it's somewhere between the chapter on making your own handwritten license plate, and tips to keep your red, white, and blue underwear from riding up your crack.)

And boy who doesn't want to elect a Senator to represent your state who would urge the local law enforcement to draw their weapons on federal agents and place them under arrest. I mean that could never backfire, right?

And speaking of Joni Ernst, it appears that when she said this in a debate last week....

...she was just pulling it right out of her ass.

Courtesy of Politifact:

Ernst said Braley "threatened to sue a neighbor over chickens that came onto (his) property." Some might not like the way Braley and his wife handled a dispute with a neighbor -- by going to the neighborhood association and then consulting the association's lawyer.

Even so, there is no material evidence that Braley threatened a lawsuit against the neighbor or was even considering one. Even the neighbor says that.

We rate Ernst’s claim False.

Wow going all Cliven Bundy concerning federal agents, and making up lies to smear your opponent, gee if only Iowa had some early indication that this lady was such a dishonest extremist.

Oh wait, they did.

Bristol Palin's goal on DWTS this time around is NOT to gain weight. Seriously?

Courtesy of People:

While some celebrities are known for shedding pounds while participating on Dancing with the Stars, Bristol Palin did not consider herself one of them.

The Alaska native, 21, said during her time on ABC's hit series that she didn't notice any changes in her body except for toned legs. But this time around, on season 15's all-star edition, which premieres Sept. 24, Palin is hoping for a different outcome.

"My goal [is] not to gain any weight," the young mom recently told PEOPLE during the Television Critics Association summer tour in Beverly Hills. "I think it's hurtful for any girl when someone's criticizing their weight on a national level. It's an awkward position."

Well that was carefully worded.

She "did not consider herself one" of the celebrities that lost weight on the show?  That's because she WASN'T one of the celebrities that lost weight on the show!  That is not a based on a perception, it is a based on actual, irrefutable evidence.

And once again I don't think the majority of people were JUDGING her for being fat.  They were judging her for being pregnant on the show, and putting the fetus in danger while pretending that she wasn't carrying a child.

And if that "perception" is not true then I assume Bristol Palin has the most screwed up metabolism on the planet, one that gains fat during exercise rather than loses it, and we can look forward once again to watching her swell up like a balloon in a Macy's Thanksgiving day parade THIS season as well.

However if we were correct, then THIS time Bristol should look forward to actually trimming down without resorting to crazy dieting or surgical procedures. And wouldn't THAT be a nice change of pace for members of her family?
