Companies angered to learn that their products featured in commercials which aired during the Duggar's new show.

Courtesy of the Daily Mail:

Companies who learned their commercials have been airing on a new show about the Duggars are none too happy, and making sure their ads do not run when TLC airs its new program Jill and Jessa: Counting On.

InTouch spoke with seven companies who were not only upset when they heard this news, but also said they were taking measures to make sure it would not happen again on the network.

The companies included; Cici's Pizza, The UPS Store, Verizon Wireless, Pure Michigan, White wave Foods, Choice Hotels and Mattress Firm.

Cici's said; 'When we learned one of our ads was placed adjacent to controversial programming, we took immediate action to stop it.'

The UPS Store meanwhile said the show would be put 'on our list of exclusions as well as any other potential Duggar programming.'

Verizon said they did not intend to be on the show and had no control where their ad ran while Choice Hotels said if an ad ran it was an 'error of the network.'

Pure Michigan may have been the most firm however, saying; 'We contacted TLC immediately after learning about this mistake, and have been assured no Pure Michigan ads will run on this program moving forward.

'The Counting On program does not meet our brand guidelines.'

Can't hardly blame these companies. After sex abuse and incest do not exactly sell more pizza and wireless phones.

I don't know who thought it was a good idea to put these grifting hypocrites back on TV, but I hope they enjoy the backlash from their advertisers.

NBC releases trailer to promote Law and Order episode inspired by the Duggar family sex scandal.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

NBC released a teaser trailer Wednesday for an upcoming episode of their popular long-running crime show Law & Order: Special Victims Unit that is loosely based upon the real-life molestation scandal involving the Duggar family.

Keeping with their history of stories “ripped from the headlines, ” the Duggar family tale was inevitable for the Law & Order franchise devoted to sex crimes.

With the Duggar’s 19 Kids And Counting TV show off the air after it was revealed that eldest son Josh had admitted to molesting several of his sisters when he was a teen, the Law & Order episode comes on the heels of a TLC special on childhood sexual abuse that starred two of the Duggar daughters.

Introduced as a “reality TV family’s shocking scandal,” the clip shows a squeaky-clean and very large all-American family as Det. Amanda Rollins explains, “One of their virgin daughters is knocked up, so there goes their TV show….”

You know I would think that once you are featured on a show like Law & Order due to a terrible incident such as sexual abuse among family members, that you are essentially finished an example of a "squeaky clean" Christian American family.

My daughter freaking loves Law & Order, and watches it over and over again in reruns, but personally I never watch it.

I might just tune in for this episode however.

Christian homeschooling organization used and heavily promoted by the Duggar family is being sued for covering up, you guessed it, sexual assault and harassment of employees.

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

Five women have sued the Institute in Basic Life Principles, once a leader in the Christian homeschooling movement, charging that the organization and its board of directors enabled and covered up sexual abuse and harassment of interns, employees, and other participants in its programs.

Each of the plaintiffs — Gretchen Wilkinson, Charis Barker, Rachel Frost, Rachel Lees and a Jane Doe — seeks $50,000 in damages, alleging that the organization and its board acted negligently, with willful and wanton disregard for them, and engaged in a civil conspiracy to conceal the wrongdoing.

The lawsuit is the latest chapter in a long-simmering scandal that has engulfed the ministry once admired by conservative Christian parents for teaching them how to raise obedient, devout and chaste children since the 1960s. The ministry has found dedicated followers in politics, including Rep. Daniel Webster (R-Fla.), who sought to replace Rep. John Boehner (R-Ohio) as House Speaker, and in entertainment.

Last year founder and long time President, Bill Gothard, resigned amid allegations that he had sexually harassed more than thirty female employees over the years.

Oh and who could forget this:

Earlier this year, IBLP was once again in the headlines after the gossip magazine In Touch reported that Josh Duggar, the eldest son of reality television stars and longtime Advanced Training Institute members Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar, had been sent to an IBLP training center as a teenager after he admitted he had sexually abused four of his younger sisters and a family friend.

That's right, the guy who the Duggars sent their sister fondling son to in order to straighten him out, had to resign in response to charges of sexual harassment, and his organization is being sued for covering up similar activities among staff members.

Oh and Josh Duggar himself is currently in hiding in response to being outed as a customer of Ashley Madison, having admitted to a porn addiction, and being accused of paying a porn star for rough sex.

Gee, uh...anybody else seeing a pattern here?

Mike Huckabee on the Duggars: "Well, out of 19 kids, y’know, as far as we know, 18 turned out pretty darn well"

Courtesy of Raw Story:

Appearing on CNBC with John Harwood, Huckabee was asked if he had any regrets about previously holding the Duggar family up as “a model of everything that was good and decent about family,” in light of Josh Duggar’s fall from grace.

Duggar has admitted that he molested several of his sisters when he was a teen and conducted multiple adulterous affairs as an adult.

‘Well, out of 19 kids, y’know, as far as we know, 18 turned out pretty darn well,” a smiling Huckabee said.

“That’s a pretty good percentage,” he continued, “And I don’t think you disparage..” as Harwood cut him off.

“I can just imagine quite a few people who feel disparaged about things you’ve say about gay rights, gay marriage, and would think ‘Heh, hypocrite,'” Harwood pressed.

“Look, I’m not to defend anything of Josh,” Huckabee replied. “Nothing to defend. But I don’t think you can disparage the entire family because one of the members did some pretty bad things.”

Yeah you know that might make sense if Josh's parents had actually got him the help he needed when they first found out, and had not covered for his abuses which allowed him to continue preying on his sisters and family friends.

Oh and if the family was not made up of anti-gay, fundamentalist assholes, who survive by bilking idiots on the internet and broadcasting their lives on reality TV.

Besides does anybody REALLY believe that the rest of the family "turned out pretty darn well?"

According to one of the Duggars favorite pastors "sex belongs to Christians."

So this guy, John Piper, wrote this bit of brilliance on something called Charisma News:

We might be tempted to think that, since sex is so sinfully misused and is so universally undermining to the all-satisfying beauty of Christ's holiness, maybe we Christians should have nothing to do with it.

Paul says the opposite. It is the world that has stolen what belongs to believers. Sex belongs to Christians. Because sex belongs to God. "God created it to be received with thanksgiving by those who believe and know the truth." If it is used by those who do not believe and know the truth, it is prostituted. They have exchanged the glory of God for images. They have torn sex from its God-appointed place in the orbit of marriage. But they do not know what they are doing. And the price they will pay in this life and the next is incalculable.

The pleasures of sex are meant for believers. They are designed for their greatest expression by the children of God.

So this might come as some surprise to all of the Muslims, Buddhists, Hindus, Sikhs, Pagans, Heathens, Atheists, animals, fish, birds, etc. in the world who apparently have been having unsanctioned by God sex for thousands of years now.

You know it's bad enough that the Christians are trying to take over politics, education, and the definition of morality in this country, but when they start trying to claim dibs on sex, then we are going to have a serious problem.

And if you think that first part was weird get a load of Pastor Piper's definition of sex:

And the pleasures of sex are themselves an overflow of God's own goodness. This pleasure is less than what we will know fully in Him at His right hand. And in it, we taste something of His very exquisiteness.

Yeah you know I have had me a whole lot of sex in my life, much of it probably illegal in some states, but at no time did I ever consider tasting God's "exquisiteness."

And I feel dirty just typing that. Plus I'm not really sure what that is.

Pastor Picked a Peck of Pickled Pipers just so you know is also one of the Duggars favorite Christian bullshit artists. In fact future reality star Jessa Duggar Seewald recently quoted him on her Facebook page.

So I would assume that Piper also provided hot piping preaching to Josh Duggar at one time or another. Which leaves me wondering if incest, child molestation, and paying porn stars for rough sex is also just for Christians.

Because if so, I'm kind of alright with that.

Duggar girls get their own show on TLC because you know reality television is just not horrible enough already.

Courtesy of the Hollywood Reporter:

Two months after the Discovery-owned cable channel canceled 19 Kids and Counting over Josh Duggar's sexual molestation admission, TLC has ordered several new specials centered on his two sisters Jessa Seewald and Jill Dillard.

Production is slated to begin soon for a targeted year-end premiere for at least one of the specials, The Hollywood Reporter has confirmed.

The untitled specials will center on Dillard, her husband, Derick, and their infant son as they prepare to move to El Salvador for missionary work, and Seewald, who is expecting her first child with husband Ben on Nov. 1. Two or three specials are currently planned.

Grow up in front of the TV camera with virtually every part of your life broadcast into people's living rooms, while living under your father's strict religious rules, and being molested by your own brother. Gee who wouldn't want to give them their own show?

If there is still an audience for this then I think that says something really unfortunate about the state of our country.

Now if the two girls wanted to tell the truth about what went on behind the scenes during their carefully scripted reality show, and what their brother was really doing to them, THEN there might be something worth watching here.

Uh oh! Hide your children and your porn stars because it looks like Josh Duggar has escaped from rehab.

Courtesy of No Longer Quivering:

While People Magazine and other tabloids are speculating mightily about the type of treatment Josh Duggar may be receiving at Reformers Unanimous in Illinois some rather curious news comes out of that area. No one in Rockford, Illinois has actually spotted Duggar among the other recovering addicts at RU. He hasn’t been seen coming or going from the mandatory twice a Sunday services at North Love Baptist Church. Which is odd considering it would be a mandatory part of his recovery process at RU. There has been absolutely no sightings of Josh anywhere in Rockford or RU.

Here is more from The Hollywood Gossip:

The Duggars’ private plane, piloted by John David Duggar, pulled into Rockford, Ill., one night, only to turn around 10 minutes later.

It was believed that this was a clandestine perv dropoff and that Josh entered Reformers Unanimous, a Christian treatment facility.

His parents have publicly supported the facility in the past, so the theory made sense ... except he reportedly hasn't been seen there.

Radar insiders claim Josh Duggar hasn't shown up to the rehab center’s mandatory meetings and church services in the last week.

And then it all gets even more suspicious:

In another surprising twist, the family’s plane took another mystery trip August 27 across the Duggars’ home state of Arkansas.

The plane arrived in Paragould, a quiet, eastern town, around 9 a.m., and took off for home in Springdale, Ark., around 6 p.m.

The Christian family does not have property in the area, and no known friends or extended family members are from the town.

Nor are there are any known rehab centers in the vicinity.

So wait, does THIS mean that after coming clean about being a ginormous hypocrite, and after being accused of roughly banging a porn star, that Josh Duggar might be walking free out among all of us normal, non-pedophile sex addicts?

Because that is not okay.

Where could he go?

Your first thought would be back with his family, but since his own sister is now throwing him to the wolves, and his wife's family wants him to disappear, maybe not.

But seriously who else would be comfortable enough hanging around with pedophiles and sexual perverts to invite one of them to hide out in their home?

Nah! Ya think?

Two of Josh Duggar's sisters, and his mother, appear on TLC program about child sex abuse. Oh this ought to be good.

Courtesy of People:

Jessa (Duggar) Seewald and Jill (Duggar) Dillard appeared on TLC's documentary Breaking the Silence Sunday, seeking education to address the aftermath of the abuse they faced at the hands of brother Josh Duggar more than a decade ago.

"It's amazing to understand that there are so many people that deal with this exact same thing in their own families," said Jill, 24.

"So just being educated is very good." Jessa, 22, noted, "I feel like this should be a discussion people are having, even regularly. I think that it shouldn't be a taboo subject, that we should be bringing awareness to child sexual abuse and talking about this."

Okay I'm confused.

Didn't the Duggar family do just about everything they could think of, including the threat of a lawsuit, to keep people from talking about Josh Duggar's molestation of at least five young girls, including his own sisters?

And doesn't the family still claim that none of the victims even knew they were being abused?

Michele Duggar also appeared on the program and here is what she said:

"I was so glad that my girls and I were able to do this together and that we could just be a support and encouragement to each other to be able to gain more information about this important topic," said Michelle, 48.

Yes well that's all well and good but it does not really speak to the fact that the family's refusal to get Josh Duggar the treatment he really needed early on, and their ignorance about his predatory impulses, allowed him to victimize his own siblings as well as other young women who made the mistake of sleeping over at the Duggar household.

Not only that but the fact that Josh was also recently outed as a paying customer for the online cheating website Ashley Madison, and that he paid for sex with a porn star, should also suggest that Josh's problems were not due to childlike curiosity, but rather to a pathological need for illicit sexual encounters that may very well have resulted from his upbringing and the example set by his parents.

If true than the problems in the Duggar family are undoubtedly more problematic than we have been led to believe, and they should be the last people trotted out as "victims" in any sense of the word.

Josh Duggar enters long term rehab center amid charges that he cheated on his wife, and molested his own sisters.

According to a statement on the Duggars' website ole Joshie is getting a little rehabilitation:

We are so thankful for the outpouring of love, care and prayers for our family during this most difficult situation with Josh. As parents we are so deeply grieved by our son’s decisions and actions. His wrong choices have deeply hurt his precious wife and children and have negatively affected so many others. He has also brought great insult to the values and faith we hold dear. Yesterday Josh checked himself into a long-term treatment center. For him it will be a long journey toward wholeness and recovery. We pray that in this he comes to complete repentance and sincere change. In the meantime, we will be offering our love, care and devoted support to Anna and our grandchildren as she also receives counsel and help for her own heart and future. During this time we continue to look to God—He is our rock and comfort. We ask for your continued prayers for our entire family.

Oh God, I think I just threw up in my mouth a little.

Well let's hope this is more effective than the LAST counseling Josh received after he molested his sisters.

And he is going to need it because apparently he has been paying for sex with porn stars:

In a bombshell world-exclusive interview with In Touch magazine, stripper and porn star Danica Dillon, 28, reveals she had sex not once, but on two separate occasions, with Josh Duggar, both occurring when his wife, Anna, was pregnant with their fourth child!

Danica — who passed a polygraph test conducted for In Touch by a top certified polygrapher on Aug. 24 — details her two sexual encounters with Josh in the new issue of +In Touch+, on newsstands now. The first occurred after Josh approached her at the Gold Club in Philadelphia, where she was performing, in mid-March and the second only a month later when Danica was performing at Creekside Cabaret in Colmar, Pa.

Danica Dillon
According to In Style Dillon reported that Josh was rough with her and stated that:

"He was manhandling me, basically tossing me around like I was a rag doll."

She also claimed that while she has had rough sex before this was different:

“It was very traumatic. I’ve had rough sex before, but this was terrifying.”

She also says that she expects there are other girls besides her who will be coming forward.

And all of this after Jim Bob tried so hard to help curb his son's lustful thoughts.

This from Raw Story:

According to 2014’s Growing Up Duggar — a companion book to the Duggars’ TLC series 19 Kids and Counting — Jim Bob keeps the boys in the family from ogling attractive women by saying the word “Nike” whenever the clan runs into a woman or girl who might excite their lust. The word is the boys’ signal to look down at their shoes.

“That’s a signal to the boys, and even to Dad, that they should nonchalantly drop their eyes and look down at their shoes as we walk past her,” said the book.

You know I think I see the flaw in Jim Bob's parenting approach.

After all isn't THIS the Nike motto?

Let's face it Josh Duggar is probably just the tip of the evangelical iceberg.

If the Duggar family was smart they would get counseling for the whole damn family before it's too late.

As expected Josh Duggar's wife "partially blames herself" for his infidelity.

Courtesy of the Daily Mail:

Anna Duggar partially blames herself for her husband Josh's admitted infidelity, it has emerged.

The 27-year-old - who shares four children with Josh - will likely 'on some level.... absorb some of the blame' for her spouse's cheating and addiction to online porn, a Duggar family insider says.

And she will 'no way' leave Josh for his actions - which the 19 Kids and Counting star confessed to after he was named as one of the 37million spouses to allegedly have Ashley Madison accounts.

'Anna will not leave him. As with her in-laws, she is turning more to her faith than ever,' the insider told PEOPLE Magazine. 'She is fully and permanently committed to her marriage and children.

Can't say this surprises me. These women are trained to believe that everything is ultimately their fault, and that all they need is more faith to overcome it.

In fact Josh's mother even has a tip to keep marriages happy. Always offer up your body even if you are tired or sick. After all isn't THAT all women are really good for?

If Anna has been adhering to her mother-in-law Michelle's top marriage tip, she will have said 'yes' to sex whenever her husband has wished to have it - regardless of how tired she may have been.

'Be available. Anyone can fix him lunch, but only one person can meet that physical need of love that he has,' Michelle, 49, told TODAY Moms in an interview last year, citing a friend's advice.

'You always need to be available when he calls.'

You know I'm not gonna lie, the idea of my wife ALWAYS being in the mood when I want sex sounds pretty good to me.

However as a human being the idea that she would force herself to do it just to keep me happy is a little repugnant.

I am not a rapist, so if my partner feels pressured or coerced into providing intimacy, that makes me uncomfortable, and it is ultimately not at all sexy.

One has to wonder if Anna also feels partially responsible for Josh sexually abusing his sisters? Or is that simply THEIR fault for being females while in his presence?

Let's face it this guy has quite a number of problems as it pertains to sex, and those certainly did not start with his marriage.

Josh Duggar comes clean: "I have been the biggest hypocrite ever."

"I am totally looking for someone hotter and nastier."
Here is Josh Duggar's entire admission after hackers revealed his account on the Ashley Madison site for cheaters courtesy of the Daily Mail:

I have been the biggest hypocrite ever. While espousing faith and family values, I have secretly over the last several years been viewing pornography on the internet and this became a secret addiction and I became unfaithful to my wife.

I am so ashamed of the double life that I have been living and am grieved for the hurt, pain and disgrace my sin has caused my wife and family, and most of all Jesus and all those who profess faith in Him.

I brought hurt and a reproach to my family, close friends and the fans of our show with my actions that happened when I was 14-15 years old, and now I have re-broken their trust.

The last few years, while publicly stating I was fighting against immorality in our country, I was hiding my own personal failings.

As I am learning the hard way, we have the freedom to choose to our actions, but we do not get to choose our consequences. I deeply regret all hurt I have caused so many by being such a bad example.

I humbly ask for your forgiveness. Please pray for my precious wife Anna and our family during this time.

Okay well the guy is clearly a scumbag, but you have to give him a little credit for coming forward and admitting that he was a hypocrite. After all some of these guys would deny this until their dying breath.

However having said that I think this also reveals what most of us already suspect about ALL of these holier than thou types, and that is that they are usually deeply in denial about their own proclivities and tend to openly attack others they deem "perverted" in order to camouflage their own "sinful" nature.

Personally the minute I hear one of these so-called "family values" Christians attacking the LGBT community, feminists, or secularists I also think to myself, "I wonder what skeletons HE or SHE is desperately trying to keep locked away in their closet of shame?"

One thing I think we can say for sure, and it is that there is NO fucking way the Duggar family is returning to reality TV now.

Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar want to give you advice about sexual assault. Wait, what?

Courtesy of Star Magazine:

Two long months after news broke that Josh Duggar molested five girls, including four of his underage sisters, TLC has finally pulled the plug on 19 Kids and Counting.

But, along with an hour-long documentary about child abuse that includes Jill and Jessa, Jim Bob and Michelle have a plan to get their family back on TV and TLC paychecks coming in.

“The family can’t afford to not have the show—it is their main source of income, and with a family of that size, without it they’re in enormous trouble,” says a friend, adding the Arkansas couple are willing to beg for forgiveness to get the cash flowing again.

“They know they have to at least pretend to be sorry about what happened, and now they want a spin-off where Jim Bob and Michelle would give advice to abuse victims—even though they’re in denial about their culpability in Josh’s crimes.”

In the hierarchy of  truly terrible ideas this would have to be fairly close to the top.

These are religious zealots NOT trained counselors!

And based on how they handled the abuse that he inflicted on his sisters, I would not let them teach my dog not to pee on the carpet much less teach a child not to hump a family member.

Fortunately, according to this same article in Star, it is very likely that ole Jim Bob will have to do something else in order to feed his herd of misfits as a return to TV would "take a miracle."

In wake of Duggar sex scandal TLC decides to broadcast a commercial free "special" on sexual abuse. Yep, that should make everything all better.

Courtesy of People:

The network decided to put together the special, titled Breaking the Silence, after it was reported in May that Josh Duggar had molested five underage girls -- including some of his sisters -- when he was a teenager.

The documentary will air on Sunday, August 30, and sets out to "promote education, raise awareness, and advance the conversation" on child sexual abuse.

"The one-hour documentary is built around the personal and emotional stories of brave survivors who have found the courage to come forward," the network statement said.

Added TLC President Marjorie Kaplan that "the goal is to take what has been a difficult and painful experience, and focus that attention on the really critical issue of child protection and child sexual abuse."

Apparently Jessa and Jill Duggar are also going to be part of this program. (Wait I thought they "slept" through their abuse and did not even know it happened to them?)

You know I was all ready to mock the network for too little too late, but then I realized that a network that broadcast reality shows such as "Here Comes Honey Boo Boo," "Kate Plus 8," as well as "Toddlers & Tiaras" might be the perfect place to find victims of sexual abuse and broadcast their stories to the public.

In fact if they wanted to TLC could probably turn this into a full time thing, as I imagine there is really no bottom to the well of abuse and human suffering that has been tapped into by their reality shows.

But they won't because, let's face it, people do not tune into these shows to feel the character's pain, they tune in to laugh at their suffering and for the chance to feel superior to somebody on TV.

Having lost their lucrative reality TV show the Duggars are now reduced to begging for donations on YouTube.

Courtesy of Radar Online:

Thanks to their former lucrative TLC contracts, Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar are reportedly millionaires.

However, now that the network has canceled the family’s reality show, 19 Kids And Counting, following disgraced son Josh’s sex abuse scandal, the shameless parents and their ultra-Christian brood are begging fans for financial support, RadarOnline can reveal.

On the conservative clan’s official YouTube page, Duggar Studios, the family asks for supporters to contribute funds so the kids can create “fresh quality content” on their video site.

“Every contribution is helpful, big or small,” they claim.

Begging for money in exchange for low quality videos?

Now where have I seen that before?

Well you know what they say, birds gotta fly, fish gotta swim, and grifters gotta grift.

Source claims Duggars surprised and heartbroken that their reality show was yanked off the air, believe God wants them back on TV.

Courtesy of People Magazine:

When news broke that the Duggars' hit TLC show 19 Kids and Counting had been officially canceled, no one was more disappointed than the family, a source who has worked closely with them tells PEOPLE in this week's issue.

The cancellation came two months after a 2006 police report surfaced revealing that Josh Duggar had been accused at age 14 of molesting five underage girls – including two of his sisters, Jill Dillard and Jessa Seewald. (He apologized and said he had "acted inexcusably" after the report became public.)

The source says the evangelical Christian family, who often discussed their religious faith on their TLC show, is "heartbroken that they've now lost that platform."

"The Duggars want to return to TV because they truly believe it was part of God's plan for them to spread the word about their faith," the source says.

"I think Jim Bob and Michelle honestly did expect people to just move on from this," the source adds. "Their thinking is, they put this behind them ages ago, so why wouldn't the rest of the world?"

Yeah, if sexual molestation was no big deal to them, why should it be a big deal to anybody else?

I love how when religious people really want to do something that they always claim God is the one that wants it for them.

"Hey, hey, hey, you can say no to us, but can you really say no to God?"

Yes, yes we can.

The Duggars are a seriously fucked up family and they should NEVER be given another national platform. And if there really WERE a god, they certainly wouldn't.

Sunday, July 19, 2015

So the rule should be that they can only bring back the show if they agree to a name change.

I think that works.

And let's be honest, you still know that the same audience of slack jawed mouth breathers who watched it before the scandal would continue to tune in. Probably attract even more of them.

Eeew!

19 Kids and Counting has been officially cancelled.

Courtesy of US Magazine:

Almost two months after news broke of Josh Duggar's molestation scandal, TLC has canceled his family's reality show, 19 Kids and Counting, the Associated Press reported on Thursday, July 16.

"After thoughtful consideration, TLC and the Duggar family have decided to not move forward with 19 Kids and Counting. The show will no longer appear on the air," the network said in an official statement, adding that "the recent attention around the Duggars has sparked a critical and important conversation about child protection."

TLC's cancellation puts an end to months of speculation about the fate of Jim Bob and Michelle Duggar's famously large brood. The couple and their kids first rose to fame back in 2008, and finished their 10th season of 19 Kids this past May.

In addition to canceling the show, the network has teamed with two child-protection organizations to raise awareness about child sexual abuse. They're planning to air an hour-long documentary about the issue next month.

So if you have ever wondered exactly what line a crappy reality show had to cross in order for TLC to cancel it, the answer is "diddle your sister."

Gee I wonder what all of those conservatives who raced to Josh Duggar's defense will say about this?

Huckabee? Palin? Anybody?

The Duggar family gathers to pray over their daughter before she flees the country. I'm sorry, I mean leaves to become a missionary.

Who talks like that to each other? The whole thing was so scripted and phony.

Here is more courtesy of The Daily Mail:

A month after Jill Duggar came forward as one of her brother Josh's molestation victims, she and her husband Derick Dillard have said farewell to the US.

The Duggar family posted a homemade video on Monday of the couple and their son Israel departing for a missionary trip abroad.

The emotionally charged home footage not only depicts the family breaking down in tears, but even the unseen camera operator can be heard sobbing in the background.

The video appears to be a mini-episode made by the family after TLC suspended 19 Kids And Counting on May 22 following Josh publicly apologizing for having 'acted inexcusably' when he was aged 14 to 15.

Speaking of Josh Duggar you probably noticed that he is missing from that video.

That is because he is currently in hiding in Arkansas:

The former reality star has also kept a low public profile, cancelling an appearance at a home schooling convention in Sandusky, Ohio. His sisters, Jill Duggar and Jessa Duggar continued to keep their commitment to appear.

According to TMZ, Duggar told organizers that his presence would cause too much of a distraction. The event planners, in turn, commended him and his TLC reality family for how they handled the matter.

A lot of people are of the opinion that this trip to work as missionaries is really a smokescreen to hide the fact that there are more allegations coming down the pike and that Jill, who is on record as admitting that she was one of Josh's victims, simply wants to get out of Dodge before she is subpoenaed to testify against her brother.

At this point I'm not sure about that, but I certainly think we should all pay attention if any other Duggars suddenly get the urge to leave the country and minister to the "savages."

Jill Duggar and her hubby want money so that they can flee the country.

Courtesy of Radar Online:

Jill Duggar and Derick Dillard say that God is telling them that it is time to get out of America!

In a statement on their family blog, Dillard said, “God has put a desire in our hearts to serve Him internationally for longer than the typical short-term mission trip… It’s something we’ve prayed about together in an effort to seek God’s plan for our lives in His service.”

This decision comes shortly after the revelation that Jill’s brother Josh had allegedly molested her and her sister when they were children.

Of course the husband makes it sound like he has no choice because God "put a desire in our hearts to serve him internationally."

The term "put a desire in our hearts" sounds really icky and sort of like bullshit to me.

But what do I know I'm a heathen?

I mean to my cynical mind this just seems like a really convenient way to be out of the line of fire when the next devastating revelations about your family hit the internet. But once again...you know...heathen.

Actually I might be willing to donate a dollar or two to this cause, but only if I could be assured that they would never return, and after establishing a base camp in some country where diddling your sister was perfectly okay, would then call for the rest of the Duggar family to join them.

Extra TV went to Wasilla so that Sarah Palin could triple down on her defense of the Duggar family. Seriously?

Courtesy of Extra TV: Sarah Palin is explaining her decision to support the Duggar family in the wake of the sexual molestation scandal that has rocked their family. The outspoken former governor spoke to “Extra” at her home in Alaska, revealing why it was so important for her to speak out on behalf of the Duggar family.

Here is the transcript of Palin's entire response to questions from Extra:

"Oh ya know I’ve been one to desire to speak out on behalf of victims, for one, and there are victims in this issue with the Duggars (Palin pronounces their name as "Doogers."), and others sexually exploited and assaulted and had to live with the advances, sexually speaking, from someone they trusted. (Okay since when has Palin been a victim's advocate? Did I miss a memo?) So...uh...really wanted to speak out on behalf of  victims, but even more so, in this case, speaking about the media' hypocrisy about how they try to crucify an entire family for a fourteen year old kid's actions twelve years ago.”

One hard edit later:

"Unfortunately this has all been rebirthed (sic) and the girls had trusted their counselors and trusted law enforcement that what they were telling law enforcement and counselors that it would all be confidential, it would be private, and here it's busted out for all the world to see, and for them to be humiliated by."

Another hard edit:

" And yet the clips that I've seen they did such a good job in explaining that they've forgiven their fourteen brother."

Hard edit.

"Well I think Josh right now is certainly being...um...punished in the court of public opinion."

Hard edit:

"Not a whole lot of people had heard of em before this so...um...he though perhaps now being able to use these very, very less than idill (sic) circumstances...turning them into..uh...uh...maybe a format that he can use to educate others, and to help others get through some really tough situations. Perhaps that is part of the redemption that he would capitalize on and ultimately help society."

What is he Captain America of the child molesters now?

And why hasn't Palin attacked Lena Dunham yet?

Oh, here we go:

"Lena Dunham is the most exploitive character that I’ve ever heard of who brags about, offers up, is celebrated for her sexual exploitation of a little girl, breaks my heart."

Yet another hard edit:

"My daughter Bristol had been watching the interview about the Duggar situation and it occurred to her 'Wait a minute why is this entire family being crucified when you have someone on the other end of the political spectrum, a very, very liberal actress, who is seen as being cute, and quirky, and ha ha look at her she, she sexually abused a little girl and yet she is rewarded with fame and fortune.'"

When Palin says "her daughter" here what she really means to say "Nancy French." I think the only thing that occurs to Bristol these days is that she better roll over so she does not drunkenly choke to death on her own vomit.

At the end of the interview Extra TV has to meet their obligations by asking Palin about running for President, as if anybody in the country still considers that a possibility.

"Of course I would never say never. Who knows? I mean there are many, many months to go and...um...stranger things have happened."

Stranger things have happened than a washed up reality star,  deciding to run for the highest office in the land, after defending an admitted child molester?

Go ahead name one.

Okay at this point I am willing to entertain the idea that Palin's almost histrionic defense of the Duggar family might have something to do with her own fears that records concerning her family can be subject to a FOIA request and might be revealed to the public.

Hmm, maybe I should get on that.
