Minnesota Republican state lawmaker accused of sexually harassing women and of blocking a female lobbyist from leaving his office by saying "I have a raging boner, you can't leave."

A Minnesota Republican lawmaker is under fire for sending abusive texts to a female colleague and reportedly sexually assaulting a female lobbyist in his office while insisting she help him with his “raging b*ner.” 

According to the City Paper, state Rep. Tony Cornish under attack after he was accused of sending unwanted sexual comments to Rep. Erin Maye Quade (DFL), who provided text messages to a local paper. 

Late Thursday night, Cornish had his chairmanship of the House Public Safety Committee suspended by House Speaker Kurt Daudt (R) while the allegations are being investigated. 

More damning, however, are charges from a female lobbyist, who wished to remain anonymous, who claimed Cornish stalked her and solicited her for sex for over a year, once physically grabbing her in his office while trying to kiss her. 

According to the woman, Cornish once blocked her from leaving his office, repeatedly telling her, “I have a raging boner. You can’t leave.”

What is wrong with men?

And it is not just Republican men, Kevin Spacey, Louis CK, Harvey Weinstein are all guilty as well.

It is like men with any power whatsoever feel that it gives them the right to force women, girls, or even young men, to see, touch, or interact sexually with their penises.

It doesn't. 

And it also seems as if the very worst one is currently representing our country while occupying the people's house.

You know perhaps it is time to clean house, and eject these pussy grabbing douchebags from whatever positions of power they currently inhabit.

Maybe ultimately THIS will be the legacy of the Trump presidency.

For women to finally rise up and say "enough is enough" and to start holding their former abusers accountable and to send a message to any future abusers that they are done being a victim.

Oklahoma state Sen. Ralph Shortey is under investigation by Moore police after he was caught in a Super 8 Motel room with a minor boy. 

“On March 9 … officers of the Moore Police Department were contacted in reference to a welfare check at a local hotel,” Lt. Kyle Dudley told NewsOK.com. “Responding officers found a juvenile male in a hotel room which was also occupied by an adult male. The circumstances surrounding this incident are currently under investigation and no additional information can be released at this time.” 

An employee of the hotel confirmed to KOCO that a man named “Ralph Allen Shortey” checked in at approximately 12:20 a.m. asking for a room with two beds. Just 30 minutes later the police arrived responding to a “welfare check,” though no one has come forward admitting to the call. 

No one has been arrested and no charges have been filed, but text messages between the boy and Shortey are being investigated by police. Shortey’s legislative office door was found to have a note saying that he would be gone for the week.

Okay, okay this was probably nothing.

After all every day you find a grown man in a hotel room with a young boy, not related to him, for perfectly legitimate reasons.

Right?

No, that's actually not right is it?

Apparently it was the content of those text messages which convinced the boy's parents to call the police, so I think we can assume they were not discussing passages of the Bible.

And it also led the Oklahoma police to issue these three charges against the Republican state senator:

The Moore Police Department on Wednesday announced that it has recommended three prostitution-related charges against State Sen. Ralph Shortey.

The recommended charges include: soliciting prostitution of a minor, prostitution within 1,000 feet of a church and transporting for the purpose of prostitution.

Did I mention that Shortey was Trump's Oklahoma state chair?

Oh, I did?

Well did I mention that he was endorsed by Sheriff Joe Arpaio? Or that Dog the Bounty Hunter once hosted a rally for him?

Because those are true things as well.

Okay well now I have to stop typing this post because my cheeks actually hurt from smiling.

I know, I know, I am a terrible person for taking such delight in this.

No Democrats you CANNOT text your vote for Hillary despite fake ads which tell you that you can.

First things first: There is no such thing as voting by text message. Period. If you want to cast a ballot, you can vote at your polling station or vote absentee. That’s it. 

But ads circulated on Twitter recently would have you believe otherwise. 

Lifting imagery directly from Hillary Clinton’s campaign materials, the ads encourage supporters of the Democratic nominee to “vote early” and “vote from home” by texting their candidate’s name to a five-digit number. 

“Save time. Avoid the line,” one reads. 

“Vote early. Text ‘Hillary’ to 59925,” says another. 

At least four such ads began making rounds on social media this week, each containing the Clinton campaign’s “H” logo and a line saying they were “paid for by Hillary for President.” 

And just when your thought you had already seen the Republicans go as low as they can go.

I don't really think there is a bottom to that.

Retired cop kills fellow movie goer after argument over texting.

An argument between two moviegoers turned deadly on Monday when a 71-year-old retired cop allegedly shot and killed another man in a Florida theater where the victim had been texting during the previews. According to police, the confrontation began when Curtis Reeves, a retired police captain, asked 43-year-old Chad Oulson to put his phone away. "It ended almost as quickly as it started," said Pasco County Sheriff's spokesman Doug Tobin. 

The best account of the sad incident I've seen so far comes from Charles Cummings, an eyewitness who was in the movie theater with his son when the shooting happened. "Somebody throws popcorn.... And then bang, he was shot," Cummings, who reportedly left the theater splattered with blood, recounted to media that had gathered in the Tampa suburb. 

According to Cummings' version of events, there was a brief pause during the argument during which Reeves left the auditorium. At the time, Cummings assumed Reeves had done so to get a manager, but when he returned without one in tow the fight resumed and quickly escalated. Reeves then allegedly took out a gun, killing Oulson and shooting his wife in the hand in the process.

Apparently bail has been denied for Reeves, whose lawyer had this to say:  

Reeves' lawyer, Richard Escobar, argued that with his long list of credentials on the Tampa police force and as security for the Busch Gardens amusement park he should be trusted to be let out of jail on bond. 

"He's been protecting the community from individuals that do commit crimes," said Escobar, adding that he believes "his danger to the community is nonexistent." 

Escobar said the courtroom was filled with retired law enforcement willing to attest that his client has "no propensity whatsoever for violence."

"No propensity for violence?" Perhaps somebody should tell that to Mr. Oulson's grieving widow. 

You know I get angry when people are rude during movies as well. The difference is I don't bring a gun, so nobody has to die for my irritation. 

Louis C.K. has an interesting, and humorous, take on Father hood. Seemed appropriate for today.

I cannot say that I share too many of Louis's trepidations about being a parent, but I do share the fact that on some days I could certainly do a better job at it.

And yes, when you become a REAL father and not simply your wife's assistant, you become a much better parent. Sadly I was forced to do that after a divorce, but I have confidence that married men can do that as well.

They just have to want to.
