So here is the Trump 2020 campaign's advertisement attacking Democrats for not applauding Trump's crappy presidency.

“President Donald Trump asked Democrats to join him in standing up for America,” text at the bottom of the video —which superimposed “patriotic” music over a clip from the president’s speech — reads. 

“Instead, they just sat there, and sat there,” the chyron reads, “disrespecting our people, disrespecting our country.” 

The video highlights the faces of multiple Democrats in the audience, including House Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi (D-CA) and Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the former of which Trump referred to in his Ohio “treasonous” speech.

Okay that is some truly deceptive editing going on here. 

I think they just matched up the words of the speech with images of the Democrats sitting down kind of willy nilly.

I think it sort of took balls to include that remark about the lowest black unemployment ever, since after that speech it went right back up again.

So to be clear kids, it is NOT unpatriotic to yell "you lie!," during a speech by a Democratic President, but completely traitorous to refuse to give a standing ovation to a Republican president.

The only time I will give this POS a standing ovation is while watching him hauled out of the White House in handcuffs, or during his funeral, whichever comes first.

Elizabeth Warren may be positioning herself for a presidential run in 2020.

Elizabeth Warren has spent the past year making a series of below-the-radar moves that would put her in prime position to run for president in 2020 if she decides to. 

The liberal icon and Republican bete noire has amassed more money in her campaign war chest than nearly any senator in modern history, groomed political connections with Democrats who've been skeptical of her in the past, and worked to bolster her bipartisan and foreign policy bona fides. 

It’s part of a conscious break from the heads-down posture that Warren purposefully maintained during the first five years of her Senate career, a wide range of Democrats close to the Massachusetts senator and her tight-knit political operation told POLITICO. And it’s representative of Warren’s tricky navigation between the wishes of advocates who want her cutting a clear path to 2020, and supporters who think her best bet is to run up the score in her reelection race this year. 

The balancing act is evident everywhere, as Warren takes steps she never did when activists were pressuring her to jump into the 2016 presidential race.

Okay I am posting this here in order to open up a discussion on the pros and cons of a Warren campaign.

I'll start.

Pros:

• Warren already has a built in base of support of people who wanted her to run in 2016.
• She is one of the Democrats with the best name recognition, and if she runs against Trump she needs to be recognizable. 
• She is whip smart.
• She has real successes to tout during a campaign that voters can easily understand and relate to.
• She is a woman during a time when women are taking center stage.
• The only real knock that Trump can use against her is that Pocahontas thing, and seriously nobody gives two shits about that.

Cons:

• Her age. Voters looking for change might balk at putting another septuagenarian into the White House.
• Inexperience with foreign relations or the military. (Though in replacing Trump this might not matter.)
• She is a woman. (This will still likely turn some voters off.)
• She agreed with Donna Brazile that the 2016 primary was rigged in Hillary's favor. (I am not going to lie, this one really pisses me off.) 
• She also called on Al Franken to resign and that is going to be a sore spot for a lot of Dems. 

For the record none of the cons that I have listed are in any way a deal breaker for me.

I am not about purity tests, nor am I a single issue voter.

I want the best candidate that has the best chance of winning, and Warren has a lot of pluses in her column.

Thoughts?

More Americans want to see Donald Trump impeached than are planning to vote for him in 2020.

Donald Trump is hemorrhaging support among the American people, and now more than 40 percent of them think it's time to start the process to impeach him, a new poll finds. The number is higher than the percentage of Americans who said they planned to vote for the president in the 2020 election.

The NBC News/Wall Street Journal survey, out Wednesday, carried very little good news for the president and put him on notice that 41 percent of Americans believe there is enough reason for Congress to hold impeachment hearings, even before the conclusion of special counsel Robert Mueller's investigation. 

The poll found that 70 percent of Democrats, 40 percent of independents and even 7 percent of Republicans The number of people calling for impeachment proceedings to get underway closely parallels the 38 percent of Americans who believe Trump colluded with Russia to win the 2016 election.are in favor of the hearings.

Americans' desire for impeachment wasn't the only bad news for Trump in this poll. If he does survive his first term without being impeached, his chances of re-election are looking extremely bleak. 

Just 36 percent of respondents said they would probably or definitely vote for Trump against a generic Democratic candidate. Conversely, 52 percent said they would probably or definitely "vote for the other party." Such numbers would clearly leave Trump with no path toward a second term. 

Damn! You know that is going to drive Trump a little further over the bend.

Wave of women 20,000 strong are preparing to run for office.

There are now 20,000 more cracks (and counting) in the glass ceiling. Emily’s List announced at the Women’s Convention in Detroit on Saturday that more than 20,000 women across the country have thrown their hat into the ring to run for public office. “It was this convention that pushed us over,” Emily’s List president Stephanie Schriock tells Refinery29. “We were at 19,000 last week and basically the past few days we shot up.” 

There is a continuing wave of interest in running among progressive women that started almost immediately after Secretary Hillary Clinton’s loss in November. “Over 1,000 women hit the link on our website [to learning how to run] within four weeks of the election,” Schriock says. For the entire 2016 election cycle, which had been the group’s biggest to date before last November, Emily’s List heard from a grand total of 920 women. 

Roughly half of the women who’ve reached out to Emily’s List, which was founded in 1985 to elect pro-choice women to office, are under age 45. All 50 states are represented. Schriock estimates that around 40% are looking to run in local races, such as city council and school board in their communities. Others are eyeing congressional races, some as soon as 2018.

This is a byproduct of the election of Donald Trump that is perhaps the most positive.

Personally I can hardly wait for the women to take over.

Because let's face it, the men have certainly not been doing such a great job so far.

Donald Trump simply cannot let things go.

But if she did there is little doubt that she would win.

I think the question that Trump should be asking is, "Will I be around to run in 2020?"

Former Trump chief strategist Steve Bannon suggests his old boss will win the next election with 400 electoral votes.

Steve Bannon has a message for “the good folks at Vanity Fair”, stating Donald Trump will “not only finish his term” but gain a landslide 400 electoral votes in the 2020 presidential election. 

Speaking at the controversial Family Research Council’s Values Voter Summit, Bannon hit back at a report from Vanity Fair that suggested he did not have any faith that his former boss would finish out his first term. 

The former White House chief strategist said on Saturday in comments carried by ABC News: “The populist, nationalist, conservative revolt that’s going on, that drove Donald Trump to victory, that drove Judge Moore to victory, that will drive 15 candidates to victory in 2018, and well, I hate to break the news to Graydon Carter and the good folks at Vanity Fair, but yes, President Trump is not only going to finish this term he’s going to win with 400 electoral votes in 2020.”

That is almost a hundred more electoral votes than Trump "won" in 2016. That number was 306.

In order for Trump to achieve something like that he would have to....well he would have to either run as somebody completely different, or the Russians would have to do a much better job of hacking our election.

Of course this statement came in retaliation to the Vanity Fair article which quoted two sources saying that Bannon had only given Trump a 30% of making it through the first term.

This could simply be a case of Bannon attempting to do a little damage control, or he could in fact be this delusional.

As for that last possibility Bannon also said this during his appearance at the Values Voter Summit.

It should be pointed out that there was long line of Republican politicians who were criticizing President Obama while he was the Commander-in-Chief and we had "kids in the field."

In fact didn't Bannon's former boss suggest that Obama was not a legitimate president?

Vicente had me when he described Trump as a "worn out baseball glove tightly gripping a turd."

That is the kind of speechifying which just inspires support.

While most states agree that they need to prepare for more cyber attacks in the coming election cycles, few are ready to spend the money necessary for increased security.

The U.S. needs hundreds of millions of dollars to protect future elections from hackers — but neither the states nor Congress is rushing to fill the gap. 

Instead, a nation still squabbling over the role Russian cyberattacks played in the 2016 presidential campaign is fractured about how to pay for the steps needed to prevent repeats in 2018 and 2020, according to interviews with dozens of state election officials, federal lawmakers, current and former Department of Homeland Security staffers and leading election security experts.

These people agree that digital meddlers threaten the public’s confidence in America’s democratic process. And nearly everyone believes that the danger calls for collective action — from replacing the voting equipment at tens of thousands of polling places to strengthening state voter databases, training election workers and systematically conducting post-election audits. 

But those steps would require major spending, and only a handful of states’ legislatures are boosting their election security budgets, according to a POLITICO survey of state election agencies. And leaders in Congress are showing no eagerness to help them out. 

Not only are they showing "no eagerness to help them out," they are actively cutting funding from the agencies that currently DO help out.

In fact, some in the Capitol are trying to defund the 15-year-old federal agency that helps states and counties administer elections. The National Institute of Standards and Technology, which has three full-time staffers examining elections, would also see budget cuts in the pending congressional spending bills.

“We just don’t fund elections,” said Lawrence Norden, deputy director of the Democracy Program at New York University Law School’s Brennan Center for Justice, who co-wrote a recent report on digitally securing America's elections. “Nobody’s really sure who’s responsible for this.”

“Nobody’s really sure who’s responsible for this?" Well that is certainly comforting.

I'm just going to say it, because it needs to be said.

The Republicans don't WANT to secure our voting systems because they habitually take advantage of the lack of security and if the Russians hacking helps to put THEIR guy in office they see no reason to do anything about it.

And that leaves the rest of us, you know the people who believe in free and fair elections, simply pondering a future where we will never be able to completely trust the outcome of any election in America for the foreseeable future.

“Democrats obstructing, media attacking our president, career politicians standing in the way of success. But President Trump’s plan is working,” the advert stated.

“One million jobs created, more Americans working than ever before, unemployment: lowest since 2001, the stock market: all time record high, the strongest military in decades. The president’s enemies don’t want him to succeed, but Americans are saying ‘let president Trump do his job’,” the advert added. 

The campaign advert, whose message was approved by President Trump, reiterated the message put out by the president, particularly in recent months, that he is being blocked by Democrats despite having a majority in the White House, the House and the Senate.

So Trump approved this ad huh? Well that's interesting.

So he has no problem accusing Maxine Waters, Joe Scarborough, Elizabeth Warren, and Anderson Cooper of being un-American, but he can't bring himself to say the same about the Neo-Nazis? 

Well that's pretty telling.

Personally I don't call the media and Democrats blocking Donald Trump's plans "obstructionists."

I call them HEROES.

Over half of Republicans polled said they would support postponing the 2020 election if Donald Trump proposed it.

After a series of initial questions, respondents were asked whether Trump won the popular vote, whether millions of illegal immigrants voted, and how often voter fraud occurs. These questions evoke arguments frequently made by Trump and others about the integrity of the 2016 election. 

Then the survey asked two questions about postponing the 2020 election. 

If Donald Trump were to say that the 2020 presidential election should be postponed until the country can make sure that only eligible American citizens can vote, would you support or oppose postponing the election? 

What if both Donald Trump and Republicans in Congress were to say that the 2020 presidential election should be postponed until the country can make sure that only eligible American citizens can vote? Would you support or oppose postponing the election? 

Nearly half of Republicans (47 percent) believe that Trump won the popular vote. 

Moreover, 52 percent said that they would support postponing the 2020 election, and 56 percent said they would do so if both Trump and Republicans in Congress were behind this.

Hey, does anybody remember when the Right Wing was having a conniption fit because they thought President Obama was going to declare martial law and postpone the 2016 election?

Boy, were they outraged by that!

But some how if the Orange Fuhrer wanted to do the same, they are perfectly cool with that.

Fortunately for the country the Democrats are most assuredly NOT cool with that, so this is never going to happen.

Still, interesting to know how the knuckle draggers think. 

Top Republicans launch shadow campaign to replace Donald Trump on the ticket in 2020.

President Trump’s first term is ostensibly just warming up, but luminaries in his own party have begun what amounts to a shadow campaign for 2020 — as if the current occupant of 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue weren’t involved. 

The would-be candidates are cultivating some of the party’s most prominent donors, courting conservative interest groups and carefully enhancing their profiles. Mr. Trump has given no indication that he will decline to seek a second term. 

But the sheer disarray surrounding this presidency— the intensifying investigation by the special counsel Robert S. Mueller III and the plain uncertainty about what Mr. Trump will do in the next week, let alone in the next election—have prompted Republican officeholders to take political steps that are unheard-of so soon into a new administration. 

Asked about those Republicans who seem to be eyeing 2020, a White House spokeswoman, Lindsay Walters, fired a warning shot: “The president is as strong as he’s ever been in Iowa, and every potentially ambitious Republican knows that.” 

But in interviews with more than 75 Republicans at every level of the party, elected officials, donors and strategists expressed widespread uncertainty about whether Mr. Trump would be on the ballot in 2020 and little doubt that others in the party are engaged in barely veiled contingency planning. 

“They see weakness in this president,” said Senator John McCain, Republican of Arizona. “Look, it’s not a nice business we’re in.”

Some of the Republicans identified as conducting these "shadow campaigns" are Senators Tom Cotton and Ben Sasse, Ohio Governor John Kasich, and least surprising of all, Mike Pence.

This should not be surprising in the wake of sanctions bill the Senate Republicans forced Trump to sign, and the fact that they are making it impossible for him to make any recess appointments. 

Clearly the Republicans see the writing on the wall, and are becoming convinced that Trump will not be a viable candidate in 2020.

Considering of course that he even lasts that long.

Just over 150 days in office Donald Trump is going to hold a reelection fundraiser. In one of this hotels, or course.

President. Candidate. Businessman. Three of President Donald Trump’s roles converge next week as he holds his first major re-election fundraiser at his hotel in Washington. 

Trump officially kicked off his re-election campaign on Inauguration Day by filing Federal Election Commission paperwork, making it the earliest such effort by a sitting president. 

It’s paying off: The campaign raised more than $7 million by the end of March from appeals to small donors and the sale of merchandise such as the ubiquitous red “Make America Great Again” ball caps. 

The June 28 fundraiser at the Trump International Hotel in Washington is for larger donors. TheTrump campaign and the Republican National Committee will share proceeds.

So not only will Trump's campaign receive a bunch of money from donors hoping to buy favors from the current administration, but Trump's hotel will also be paid out of those campaign funds which will go right into his personal bottom line.

It is one of the most blatant and transparent political scams that we have ever seen, and for some reason it does not seem to matter to the Republicans one little bit.

But this is really the only time that Trump seems comfortable.

Not as the actual president with so many responsibilities requiring his attention.

But as a candidate with the sole focus of working toward his next political victory.

Elizabeth Warren has Education Secretary Betsy DeVos in her sights. And that's a good thing.

Sen. Elizabeth Warren (D-Mass.) is setting her sights on Betsy DeVos, the wealthy Republican donor who has become a lightning rod for the liberal grassroots as President Trump’s secretary of Education. 

Warren on Wednesday announced the launch of DeVos Watch, a coordinated effort to scrutinize the secretary’s handling of the $1 trillion federal student loan program and her oversight of student loan servicers, among other issues. 

“We all have an interest in a well-run, fiscally responsible, corruption-free student aid program that puts students first. That is Secretary DeVos' job — and it is Congress' job to make sure she does it,” Warren wrote in an op-ed published by CNN. 

Recently, Warren has raised concerns over potential ethics violations at the Department of Education, pushed DeVos to reinstate student loan protections and pressed the Trump administration to shield student loan borrowers from unnecessary fees. 

The salvos targeting DeVos are just the latest attempt by Warren to branch out from her expertise on financial matters — a pattern that has fueled speculation she is eyeing a presidential bid in 2020.

Warren going after DeVos is only good news for the country, and especially our education system. 

DeVos is certainly no match for the Massachusetts Senator, and this might even eventually convince her to step down from the job.

That is if the Russia investigation does not frighten her into resigning before that.

Remember it WAS her company that the Russian bank was repeatedly contacting using those servers in Trump Tower. 

Mike Pence launches new PAC. Things that make you go "Hmmm."

Vice President Mike Pence is launching his own PAC — the "Great America Committee" — to aid his own future political interests, including helping Republican candidates ahead of the 2018 midterms. 

The group, which filed paperwork with the FEC on Wednesday, will be able to use the funds to cover the costs of the vice president's travels on Air Force Two to campaign on behalf of GOP candidates across the country. 

This is the first time a sitting vice president has formed such a separate political arm. Former administration officials have used either party or campaign funds to cover travel costs.

A source close to the vice president said the organization will "provide resources for the vice president to actually support candidates who are supportive of the president's agenda."

Of course they are dismissing the idea that this has anything to do with Pence's plans to run in 2020, but I mean come on, is anybody really buying that?

The last sitting VP to do this was George H. W. Bush, and of course we know why HE did it.

I actually think that Pence has been positioning himself for a 2020 run since the inauguration.

And currently Pence is doing his invisible man act in order to stay out of the line of fire while Trump gets hit from all sides.

It's hard for a vice president of the United States to disappear from sight. After all, you are the second most powerful person in the country and all that. 

Despite those challenges, Vice President Mike Pence has been nearly invisible for the last 48 hours or so -- even as the Trump Administration has been buffeted by a slew of negative stories that have occasioned a special counsel to be named to oversee the ongoing Russia probe.

So yeah he's running in 2020, and I'd bet the farm that he is hoping the investigations take the giant orange asshole out of his way soon so that he can become the president right now and get started on rolling back voting rights and women's access to birth control, like he's always dreamed of doing. 

Donald Trump expresses a desire to run against Elizabeth Warren in 2020.

During an interview that aired Saturday night on FOX News, Trump welcomed the idea of Massachusetts Senator Elizabeth Warren launching a presidential bid against him.

Trump said it would be a "dream come true" and that he would come out ahead. 

"I think she'd lose so badly," he said, adding, "I think, honestly, I think she hurt Hillary Clinton so badly." 

Trump is claiming that the Democratic senator had too much "anger" in her heart while stumping for Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election season. 

The president went on to say, "Pocahontas would not be proud of her...," using the campaign trail moniker he used for the senator after she was scrutinized for her claims of Native American heritage.

Now I have no idea whether Warren will run in 2020 or not, though I have expressed my hope that she does.

However if she does I would predict that Donald Trump will have reason to eat these words.

If he is even still around by 2020 that is.

So yes we now have Jeff Sessions as our new Attorney General. And the bad news just keeps on coming.

The Senate on Wednesday confirmed Sen. Jeff Sessions to be attorney general in the Trump administration despite fierce Democratic opposition to the Alabama Republican over his record on civil rights and immigration. 

The 52-47 nearly party-line vote capped weeks of divisive battles over Sessions, an early supporter of President Donald Trump and one of the Senate's most conservative lawmakers. After the vote was announced, Sessions' Republican colleagues applauded the outcome while barely a handful of Democrats did the same. 

In a post-vote valedictory speech, Sessions alluded to the bitter partisanship and wished for more collegiality. 

"Denigrating people who disagree with us, I think, is not a healthy trend for our body," he said.

That last remark was of course a shot at the heroic Senator Elizabeth Warren who was shut down while trying to read a letter from Coretta Scott King on the Senate floor that King wrote when Sessions was being considered for an appointment as a federal judge.

At this point I really have serious doubts that the Democrats have the numbers to stop ANY of Trump's future appointments. Which includes his Supreme Court nominee.

That does not mean that we don't stop fighting, int fact it means that we need to start fighting harder.

However we must realize that Trump is damned and determined to sabotage the government and roll back progress just as far as he can in the next two years.

Which means we better have our ducks in a row for the 2018 election cycle because that will be the first time that we really have a shot at slowing him down, if not completely stopping him.

And our presidential candidate in 2020 better be a fucking star, because we are going to need one.

Is Joe Biden running for President in 2020. Oh hell no.

Vice President Joe Biden told reporters Monday that he might run for president in 2020. 

“Yeah, I am. I am going to run in 2020,” Biden told reporters when asked if he would run for office again. 

Asked whether he was kidding, Biden said he wasn’t making a commitment to run, CNBC reported. 

“I’m not committing not to run,” he said. “I’m not committed to anything. I learned a long time ago, fate has a strange way of intervening.”

I heard the tape that his reporting is based on and to me it sounded like Biden was just screwing with the reporters. 

Look we all love "Uncle" Joe Biden, he's awesome!

However in 2020 Biden will be 78 years old.

That is not the age when people run for President, that is the age when they try to remember their wife's name and keep thinking that it's 1969.

As much as we love Joe, he knows we won't vote for him in 2020.

No Joe Biden is a national treasure, but he is at an age where national treasures go into a museum, not into the Oval Office.

New Ted Cruz ad claims that he started a "movement" and hints that he will be back in 2020. How is that not a terrorist threat?

Sen. Ted Cruz (R-TX) credited himself with creating a movement through his failed presidential campaign and flirted with the idea of running again in an long, emotional video titled "No Regrets" posted online Wednesday. 

"What we accomplished is frankly insane," Cruz said, arguing that his campaign "sparked a fire and started a movement." 

"And that's powerful and it doesn't go away with one election," he continued. 

Cruz said he was sad but knew the campaign did "everything we could." 

"It's going to be our task to go forward and continue, fighting for that movement. It has been the greatest honor of my life to be in this foxhole," Cruz said, getting choked up. "Twenty, 30, 40 years from now the people in this room, the people across this country will say I was part of this."

Here is the video which I warn you is over five minutes long and unfortunately features Ted Cruz talking.

At the end of the video you will see the words "To Be Continued" flash across the screen.

Some have taken this to mean that Cruz is looking to run again in 2020, and in interviews he has pointed out that Ronald Reagan also lost his first bid for the GOP nomination.

The first thing that Ted Cruz needs to understand is that HE is no Ronald Reagan.

And the second thing he needs to understand is that as stupid as this country is, it will NEVER be stupid enough to vote his pasty white pear shaped ass into the White House.

For those who think that Elizabeth Warren should not accept a VP offer because she could do more good in the Senate, think again.

As Hillary Clinton moves closer to officially clinching the Democratic presidential nomination, the next phase of the competition has already begun: speculation about her running mate. 

A Boston Globe article kicked off the latest round on Thursday by floating the possibility of an all-female ticket — specifically one filled out by Massachusetts Sen. Elizabeth Warren. 

Those making the case that Warren would be muzzled or neutered as a vice president first must explain why they were wrong at least the last two times. 

When Warren was offered a temporary role setting up the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau, skeptics warned that she’d get eaten alive in the Treasury Department, would have no real power and, as a member of the Obama administration, would lose her independent outsider voice. 

Instead, she won the internal knife fights, carved out space to operate and set up the agency that is today the greatest check against the power of Wall Street. To get a sense of how strong it is, look no further than the legal effort to have it ruled unconstitutional. 

From there, Warren made a bid for the U.S. Senate. Again, her friendly skeptics worried that as one of 100 lawmakers, she’d be shorn of her true power, her independent outsider status. Just look at what happened to political satirist-turned-senator Al Franken, they warned. 

Instead, Warren maneuvered her way onto the Senate Banking Committee and built a power base. She and a group of allies were able to stop Larry Summers from even being nominated to chair the Federal Reserve, and she has otherwise held sway over the administration’s personnel decisions she’s focused on. Banking regulators and Education Department officials, well aware that a viral embarrassment awaits them at their next committee hearing if they fall short of their regulatory duties, have a new pep in their step.

Exactly!

Those who are arguing that Elizabeth Warren would be made an impotent lap dog by Hillary Clinton, clearly do not know Elizabeth Warren's record and, I would argue, do not understand Hillary Clinton very well.

I doubt that too many would argue that Joe Biden or Dick Cheney were muzzled when they became VP, and saying that Warren would be somehow tamed smacks of sexism.

Besides if my proposed scenario, which I now deem the greatest possible scenario, were to play out and Warren was to replace Clinton at the top of the ticket in 2020, then there is no telling the good she could do for this county.

For people demanding a revolution it is hard to imagine shaking things up more than to have two women at the top of a ticket which has been jealously guarded and held in the sweaty grip of men since America's infancy.

And then to have it remain in the hands of a female for three entire terms?

Surely that is the kind of progress that one could not have imagined even two decades ago.

If Hillary Clinton scores the Democratic nomination for president, she’d be shattering a major glass ceiling. But her campaign indicated that she could make history again by choosing a woman as her running mate. 

“We’ll start with a broad list [of potential vice presidential candidates] and then begin to narrow it,” Clinton 2016 chairman John Podesta told The Boston Globe. “But there is no question that there will be women on that list.” 

Clinton had previously indicated that they wouldn’t rule out a female veep, but this is the campaign’s strongest stance on the matter so far.

Yes, yes, yes!

Now indulge me while I once again lay out my favorite scenario for the Democrats to hold onto office beyond  2020.

First she chooses Elizabeth Warren as her running mate reengaging the Sanders's supporters who really wanted Elizabeth Warren all along.

Second she improves the policies of President Obama, including beefing up the Affordable Care act and improving the economy.

Thirdly she declares late in 2019 that she will not seek reelection in 2020, and instead will back a presidential run by her VP, Elizabeth Warren.

And fourth Warren wins, and then after that we are in untested waters and all bets are off.

Now I know that many of you see multiple flaws with this idea, and I admit that it seems like a stretch to suggest that it is even plausible at this point.

However keep a few things in mind.

Hillary Clinton is literally despised by half of the country, and every single misstep or perceived misstep she makes as President will only increase that number making her reelection in 2020 very, very unlikely.

Also take into account that a party getting more than three terms in office back to back has not happened for over sixty years.

The ONLY way that Hillary could possibly win a second term is if the GOP nominates a candidate along the lines of a Ted Cruz or Louis Gohmert. And even then it would be closer than I think we want to imagine.

However Elizabeth Warren completely changes the dynamic in a way that I think makes her almost a sure bet. After all she is a fresh face, with an energized base, and the kind of intellectual Ninjutsu that makes her a more than formidable opponent against whoever the Republicans can cajole, bribe, or threaten into facing off against her.

Anyhow that is my dream, and dammit I am going to cling to it until there is absolutely no hope of it every coming true.

And actually maybe even then.
