Donald Trump's unrelenting attacks on the FBI and American law enforcement is providing aid for terrorists in court.

Courtesy of HuffPo:

Three anti-Muslim militia members, on trial for plotting to slaughter Somali refugees in southwest Kansas, have adopted a defense strategy that could’ve been culled directly from President Donald Trump’s Twitter feed: suggesting that a biased FBI conspired against them in the lead-up to the 2016 election due to their political beliefs.

Curtis Allen, Patrick Stein and Gavin Wright are on trial in connection with their arrest in a FBI domestic terrorism sting just weeks before the 2016 election. Their defense attorneys, in turn, are putting the FBI on trial ― accusing the nation’s premier law enforcement agency of improperly targeting the three men due to their conservative ideology.

It’s common for defense attorneys to suggest their clients were wrongfully singled out by biased law enforcement officials. And to be sure, there’s nothing wrong with healthy skepticism about law enforcement and the FBI.

But the situation here is striking: A U.S. president has taken pains to undermine the FBI (declaring that the bureau’s reputation is “in Tatters—worst in History!”), and defense attorneys for accused terrorists are seeking to capitalize on that reality. This is happening as the president is trying to neuter a special counsel probe that’s already resulted in multiple charges against and guilty pleas from a variety of his associates. The government, meanwhile, will have to deal with jurors primed to believe a conspiracy theory fundamentally at odds with the facts ― namely, that the FBI is a hotbed of liberalism that worked behind the scenes to somehow try to stop Trump’s election.

You know the really troubling part is that Trump and his supporters would probably find nothing wrong with this.

After all these planned attacks were against Muslims, not REAL Americans.

You know, white people.

Members of a Kansas militia group planned to bomb a mosque.

Source
Courtesy of WRAL:

Three men accused of conspiring to bomb a Kansas mosque and an apartment complex housing Somali refugees also allegedly discussed killing the refugees' white landlord because he rented to Muslims, a move prosecutors say was meant to ensure the attack fully conveyed their anti-Muslim message.

Details of the alleged plot emerged in government filings in advance of an upcoming detention hearing Wednesday for Gavin Wright. His attorney has argued that Wright was unaware his co-defendants intended to actually carry out the attack, portraying him as a lonely man desperate to find friends after moving to Liberal, a city along southwestern Kansas' border with the Oklahoma Panhandle.

But prosecutors countered Wednesday with court filings that include transcripts of profanity-laced recordings that paint a more damning picture of Wright and a splinter group of the militia Kansas Security Force that came to be known as "the Crusaders" — based on the name "Crusaders 2.0" that they gave to themselves on a phone messaging app.

Prosecutors say the defense mischaracterizes the danger Wright presents if freed before trial. They allege that he manufactured and tested the homemade explosives and hosted group meetings at his business, G&G Mobile Home Center, where authorities later found explosives.

So what do we think, Trump supporters?

Oh yes, definitely Trump supporters.

And now that he occupies the White House this can only be the beginning.

Most terrorist attacks come from the Right Wing, not Muslims.

Courtesy of Newsweek:

U.S. President Donald Trump was elected vowing to get tough on “radical Islamic terrorism.” He has tried to implement a travel ban barring people from six Muslim-majority nations from entering the U.S. and has tweeted frequently about Islamist terrorist attacks around the world. On Thursday, a new report claimed the president has his facts muddled.

A joint project by the Investigative Fund at the Nation Institute, a nonprofit media center, and Reveal from the Center for Investigative Reporting has found that within the past nine years, right-wing extremists plotted or carried out nearly twice as many terrorist attacks as Islamist extremists. Of the 115 right-wing incidents, police only foiled 35 percent. Compare this to the 63 Islamist terrorism cases, where police foiled 76 percent of the planned attacks.

Right-wing extremists were not only more successful, they were often more deadly, too. From 2008 to 2016, a third of right-wing attacks involved fatalities, compared to 13 percent of Islamist attacks. It should be noted, however, that Islamist extremists killed more people overall, with a death toll of 90 people compared to 79.

In a statement pointing out the higher rate of successful, right-wing terrorist attacks, the Investigative Fund said: “This project quantifies just how irrational Trump and the GOP's fixation on 'radical Islamic terrorism' as the greatest security threat is.”

This is important information to note since the conservatives seem completely oblivious to homegrown terrorism from the radical Right and can only seem to recognize an attack as terrorism if the perpetrator is a brown skinned Muslim.

The only reason that the police foiled 76% of the Islamic terrorist attacks is because they are focused on recognizing the signs and taking action.

Imagine if that same approach were used more aggressively with the militias in this country and the sovereign citizen groups in America.

Trust me for every Muhammad Youssef Abdulazeez out there right now there are at least three times that many who look and think like Schaeffer Cox.

Donald Trump drops all pretense and takes to Twitter to call the Muslim travel ban exactly what it is, a Muslim travel ban.

This is the tweet that Trump sent out on Friday right after the attack in London.

The fact that Trump used the term "ban" did not go unnoticed.
So instead of deleting the tweet or making some bullshit excuse, Trump doubled down.
And there you have it, no more pussy footing around using cute language in attempt to convince people that Trump is not using a religious test to exclude immigrants from entering our country.

He said he was on the campaign trail, he confirms it with his tweets today, and everybody with a brain has known what he meant all along.

So now this ban goes to the Supreme Court and they have all the evidence they need to reject it.

Let's hope they make the right choice.

Stephen Bannon becomes the terrorist's poster child to justify religious war with the United States.

Courtesy of the Washington Post:

The way al-Qaeda tells it, the West is locked in an existential war with Islam. This is how the terrorist group justifies its violence and its fundamentalist ideology. And now it has found a Westerner to back them up — top Trump adviser Steve Bannon.

Bannon graced the cover (above the fold!) of the most recent al-Qaeda-linked Al Masra newspaper. That prominence, University of Oxford researcher Elisabeth Kendall told Quartz, is “striking.” The piece focused on Bannon's views of Islam, saying he believes that “the forces of Islam cannot be stopped by peaceful means.”

The paper cited a conversation Bannon had with a Danish journalist in May 2016. It also claimed that Bannon believes that the struggle is really between Christianity and Islam, not just Islam and the West. And it suggested that Bannon has “lost confidence in secular Europe, and sees Muslim immigrants as partially responsible for the retreat of traditional Christian values.

”Like other Trump advisers (and former advisers), Bannon has spoken publicly about these beliefs. In 2014, he gave a speech to the Vatican via Skype in which he said, “We’re now, I believe, at the beginning stages of global war against Islamic fascism.” On other occasions, he's suggested that the “Judeo-Christian West” is at war with “expansionist Islamic ideology.”

I don't think it takes a terrorism expert to realize that Donald Trump and his Islamophobic advisors are doing nothing to actually fight terrorism, but quite a lot to inspire future terrorist attacks against the United States.

The war in Iraq did a great job of incentivizing up and coming Jihadists, despite Bush's attempts to argue that the war was not based on religion, but Donald Trump and his advisors are not even attempting to to do that much and with their rhetoric and policy choices seem to be turning Anti-Islamic sentiment up to eleven.

In short any future terrorist attacks in this country can most likely be linked right back to Donald Trump and his merry band Muslim bashers.

In order to defend his Muslim ban Donald Trump claims that media is not reporting terrorist attacks. Media responds with public spanking.

Courtesy of CBS News:

The president began talking about how “radical Islamic terrorists are determined to strike our homeland” as they did on 9/11, in the Boston bombings and in San Bernardino. He said it’s also happening “all over Europe” like in Paris and Nice.

“It’s gotten to a point where it’s not even being reported. In many cases, the very, very dishonest press doesn’t want to report it. They have their reasons and you understand that,” Mr. Trump said.

There is no evidence that any media outlet is covering up terrorist attacks.

Later the White House walked back this claim a little by releasing a list of "terrorist attacks" that they claim were under reported.
(The list by the way completely excludes the Charleston shooting by a White Supremcist, and a number of other attacks by white folks as well. Coincidence?)

Problem is that most of the incidents listed WERE reported which inspired various news outlets to run footage of their reporters reporting on them.

Here is CNN doing exactly that.
Apparently this idea of the media not reporting on terrorist attacks in order to minimize them, was a talking point borrowed from Info Wars.

And if that was not bad enough there was also this tidbit of information.
Yeah, let's chalk this up to yet another failure by Donald Trump to dismiss facts and attempt to alter reality to fit his vision of what it SHOULD be.

Trump supporting shooter kills six in Quebec mosque. Fox News assumes it was a Muslim.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

A shooting at a mosque in Quebec, Canada on Sunday night left six people dead and eight others injured. Following the shooting, many politicians and media outlets were quick to link the incident to Islam, noting falsely that the gunman was of Moroccan origin.

However, on Monday, the suspect in the shooting was identified as Alexandre Bissonnette, a 27-year-old white French Canadian nationalist, who was described in a local outlet as “an anti-immigrant far-right ‘troll.'”

"A 27 year-old white French Canadian."

However this is how Fox News reported on the shooting initially.
Now to be fair there is always a lot of initial confusion during shootings and often there are reports of multiple shooters when it usually turns out to be only one.

In this case there was a Moroccan man detained as well, but he turned out to be a witness, not a gunman.

However Fox jumped to the conclusion IMMEDIATELY that the Moroccan guy was the shooter and seemed to completely ignore the white guy in custody.

And they were not the only ones to assume the shooter was an immigrant with ties to Islam.

Courtesy of Mother Jones:

Meanwhile, White House press secretary Sean Spicer offered an eyebrow-raising take on the attack, seeming to cite it as further justification for President Trump's crackdown on refugees and immigrants from predominantly Muslim countries. Spicer first noted that in a call on Monday with Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau, Trump had agreed that the motive remained unclear, and had condemned the attack "in the strongest possible terms." But then Spicer continued with this statement: "It's a terrible reminder of why we must remain vigilant and why the president is taking steps to be proactive rather than reactive when it comes to our nation's safety and security."

Oops.

As it turned out the actual shooter was exactly the kind of guy that Fox News and the White House hoped he would not be.

Courtesy of Heavy:

But another former classmate, Jean-Michel Allard-Prus, who studied politics with him, at Université Laval and has kept in touch with him, told Le Journal de Quebec that Bissonnette, “has right-wing political ideas, pro-Israel, anti-immigration. I had many debates with him about Trump. He was obviously pro-Trump.”

And a third university classmate, Vincent Boissoneault, who grew up with Bissonnette, was friends with him on Facebook, told the Globe and Mail, “I can tell you he was certainly no Muslim convert. I wrote him off as a xenophobe. I didn’t even think of him as totally racist, but he was enthralled by a borderline racist nationalist movement.”

Acquaintances said he became interested in the far right movement when Marine Le Pen, the leader of the far-right National Front in France, spoke in Quebec City in March 2016, the Globe and Mail reports. He began speaking out about politics on Facebook and became estranged from some friends, according to the newspaper.

Yeah you can certainly see why they were hoping it was the Moroccan dude.

Kind of hard to sell the idea that you are keeping your country safe by banning Muslims with some white guy up north shooting holes in them.

And no wonder Donald Trump identifies Fox News as the only reliable media outlet. Their prejudices line up quite neatly.

Well since we're banning religions due to violence, this seems fair.

Trump's Secretary of Homeland Security only learned about the Muslim ban executive order as Trump was actually signing it on television.

Homeland Security Secretary John F. Kelly
Courtesy the New York Times:

As President Trump signed a sweeping executive order on Friday, shutting the borders to refugees and others from seven largely Muslim countries, the secretary of homeland security was on a White House conference call getting his first full briefing on the global shift in policy.

Gen. John F. Kelly, the secretary of homeland security, had dialed in from a Coast Guard plane as he headed back to Washington from Miami. Along with other top officials, he needed guidance from the White House, which had not asked his department for a legal review of the order.

Halfway into the briefing, someone on the call looked up at a television in his office. “The president is signing the executive order that we’re discussing,” the official said, stunned.

As we know the executive order was drafted by Stephen Bannon and a small group of White House advisers, without any input from career officials at the Homeland Security Department, the State Department or other agencies.

The reason given by  James Jay Carafano, a vice president of the conservative Heritage Foundation, and also a member of Trump's transition team, is a fear of leaks.

“Why share it with them?” Mr. Carafano said.

Well part of the reason you "share it with them" is that they actually know the legalities of something like this, and could  have shut it down or at least given guidance that would have helped to avoid those incidents at the airports.

“The details of it were not thought through,” said Stephen Heifetz, who served in the Justice and Homeland Security Departments, as well as the C.I.A., under the previous three presidents. “It is not surprising there was mass confusion, and I expect the confusion and chaos will continue for some time.”

Trump's distrust of the intelligence agencies and his reliance on loose cannons like Stephen Bannon will be his downfall.

The only question is will that happen before he irreparably damages this country?

P.S. By the way a number of Trump spokespeople are claiming that this ban is just like the one that President Obama imposed on Iraq for six months.

Problem is, that never happened.

Courtesy of WaPo:

Former Obama administration official Jon Finer denied that any ban in Iraqi refugee admissions was put in place under Obama. “While the flow of Iraqi refugees slowed significantly during the Obama administration’s review, refugees continued to be admitted to the United States during that time, and there was not a single month in which no Iraqis arrived here,” he wrote in Foreign Policy. “In other words, while there were delays in processing, there was no outright ban.”

Another former official, Eric P. Schwartz, the assistant secretary of state for population, refugees and migration at the time, also told The Fact Checker that Trump’s statement is false:

“President Obama never imposed a six-month ban on Iraqi processing. For several months in 2011, there was a lower level of Iraqi resettlement, as the government implemented certain security enhancements. Indeed, as we identified new and valuable opportunities to enhance screening, we did so. Nobody should object to a continual effort to identify legitimate enhancements, but it is disreputable to use that as a pretext to effectively shut down a program that is overwhelmingly safe and has enabled the United States to exercise world leadership. In any event, there was never a point during that period in which Iraqi resettlement was stopped, or banned.”

The Post gave those statements by the Trump spokespeople three Pinocchios.

Donations to the ACLU come pouring in as response to Donald Trump and his Muslim ban.

Courtesy of The Hill:

The American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) has received more than $19 million since Saturday, and has hundreds of thousands of new members since it took action against President Trump's executive order calling for a 90-day ban on nationals from seven predominantly Muslim countries entering the United States and an indefinite pause on admitting refugees from Syria.

The ACLU announced Sunday evening it had raised $19.4 million from 290,000 donations since Saturday.

The average it takes in per year is $3 million to $4 million, according to Reuters reporter Dustin Volz. The donations and membership growth is “unprecedented,” Anthony Romero, the ACLU’s executive director, told Yahoo News.

“I’ve never seen anything like this,” Romero said. “People are fired up and want to be engaged. What we’ve seen is an unprecedented public reaction to the challenges of the Trump administration.”

Journalists have been wondering out loud if the Women's March after the inauguration was a one time thing, or whether the momentum would carry forward.

I think we have our answer.

Senator Chuck Schumer tears up over Donald Trump's Muslim ban. Trump mocks him for it.

Seems heartfelt to me.

However I actually have a heart.

Trump did not see it that way.
Courtesy of Fox News:

President Trump launched into a fiery defense of his controversial refugee and immigration restrictions Monday, blaming protesters and Senate Democratic leader Chuck Schumer’s ‘fake tears’ for difficulties at U.S. airports, and urging his opponents to “study the world!”

Yeah that's right. THEY'RE the ones who need to study more.

Trump also took to Twitter, of course, to mock Senator Schumer.
So Chuck Schumer's tears caused "big problems" for Delta Airlines?

Those are some powerful tears.

But what can you expect from Donald Trump?

Malignant Narcissists simply do not have empathy.

Which means that there is no way that any other person's suffering is going to mean anything to Trump.

So we have gone from a President who seemed to feel everything, to a president who feels nothing.

Donald Trump removes any doubt that his immigration ban is based on Islamophobia.

It would seem clear to me that Trump is justifying the ban not only by citing terrorist attacks here in America but also attacks against Christians in the Middle East.

And while the killing of Christians based on their religious beliefs is indeed disgusting and inhuman, it is also true that in the Middle East Muslims kill their fellow Muslims due to differing religious beliefs in far, far greater numbers.

The way the tweet is worded it makes is sound as if Trump is using the ban to keep the evil Muslims from killing the saintly Christians in this country, which is a pitfall that even the clumsy Bush administration was able to avoid.

Which is once again quite ironic considering that it is this so-called Christian nation that has been dropping tons of bombs on predominately Muslim countries for the last 16 years.

Trump is also ramping up the "War on Terror" which surely means American troops on the ground in Islamic countries, and an increase in civilian causalities.

In other words, Trump has just openly started a very public religious war in the name of Christianity on a number of Muslim countries.

And this is how he is responding to those criticizing him for it.

Yeah, I don't think THEY'RE the ones looking to start World War III.

Of course all of this only gives even more credibility to this Twitter account:
There is a reason why you only put smart sane people into the White House.

Does everybody get why now?

Sarah Palin rushes to defend Trump's Muslim ban.

Courtesy of, where else, Breitbart:

A blanket “immigration ban”? No, it is not. That is a fake news headline. (Tell that to the people stranded in the DFW National airport because they were no longer allowed to enter the country.)

Even so-called conservative websites groveling for clicks are making more out of President Trump’s action to fully vet foreigners’ intentions upon U.S. entrance than it obviously is. (Hey, even conservative news outlets get it right once in awhile.)

Trump is doing what the majority recognized was necessary to secure our borders. (The majority voted for Hillary Clinton. Let's not forget that.) Voters asked for it, he promised it, and thus he was elected. Now he’s doing it. (And how did that work out?)

This isn’t inhumane. It’s exercising common-sense compassion to keep human beings safe. It’s about fully vetting foreigners and merely following the laws the people–through our representative form of government within our republic–agreed upon. (No, no it's not.)

The misinformed are ballistically knee-jerking ("Ballistically knee jerking?"  IS this some weird Palin sex practice?) because they aren’t used to candidates fulfilling campaign promises. Perhaps it’s shocking because we’re used to swamp dwellers murkying (Not a word.) up the waters once typical politicians get elected, but that’s exactly why a typical politician wasn’t elected. The status quo has got to go.

Many of us have demanded we regroup and get a handle on security issues. What next preventable tragedy must happen before we finally do so? (NOTHING Trump just did would stop the next terrorist attack. NOTHING!)

Trump’s executive action is a step in the right direction towards welcoming safe, loving, law-abiding, hardworking, patriotic people into our nation that was built on the backs of safe, loving, law-abiding, hardworking, patriotic people willing to assimilate into America’s exceptional melting pot.

Okay so either Palin cannot take the hint that Trump is just not into her, or somebody is paying her to publicly kiss his ass like this.

But then again maybe this is just another case of a racist applauding the actions of a fellow racist.

After all former KKK Gran Wizard David Duke was thrilled with the ban as well.

Trump gets handed his first defeat over Muslim ban.

So yesterday started out like this.

Courtesy of Slate:

There appears to be lots of chaos and confusion in airports around the world after President Donald Trump signed an executive order that effectively bans travelers from seven Muslim-majority countries— Iran, Iraq, Libya, Somalia, Sudan, Syria, and Yemen—from entering the United States for 30 days.(Update at 4:30 p.m. Eastern: Contrary to initial reports, the ban is for 90 days.) It also places a four-month halt to the country’s refugee program. There are now scattered reports that the order is affecting those who already have green cards and visas.

Some travelers are being turned away at airports around the world and not allowed to board flights to the United States despite having valid travel documents. Reuters, for example, hears word from sources at the airport in Cairo that six travelers—five from Iraq and one from Yemen—were forbidden from boarding a flight to the United States even though they had valid visas.

Hours after Trump signed the executive order a mosque was set on fire in Texas.

All of this inspired multiple protests.

And caused world leaders to condemn his actions:

European leaders, the United Nations and international groups have condemned US President Donald Trump's measures against refugees and travellers from several Muslim-majority countries.

Oddly enough Trump's executive order only included countries that he does NOT do business with.

Interesting, don't you think?

Ultimately the ACLU and others filed a class action lawsuit, and this was the result:

The American Civil Liberties Union announced Saturday evening that a federal court in New York had issued an emergency stay on President Trump’s executive order banning immigration from seven predominantly Muslim countries. The court’s decision, which will affect people who have been detained in airports, came after the ACLU and other activist groups filed a class action lawsuit on behalf of two Iraqis who were held at John F. Kennedy International Airport in New York as a result of the order.

“I hope Trump enjoys losing. He’s going to lose so much we’re going to get sick and tired of his losing,” ACLU national political director Faiz Shakir told Yahoo News shortly after the decision was announced.

I think I agree with that statement.

The America people are fired up like I have never seen them before, and it seems very likely that they are willing to fight Donald Trump every step of the way on his agenda to destroy our country and undermine its values.

Being non-white and attending school in Donald Trump's America.

Courtesy of Think Progress:

During lunch at Royal Oak Middle School in Royal Oak, Michigan, a group of students chanted “Build the wall! Build the wall!”

But that is not all.

Even past secondary school this kind of thing is happening.

Courtesy of Crooks and Liars:

In a Facebook post on Wednesday, York NAACP President Sandra Thompson revealed that she had been receiving reports of students at York Vo-Tech "being spit on, attacked, and called names because of their race or perceived Immigrant status."

One concerned parent provided video of students at the school holding a Donald Trump campaign sign while shouting "white power."

The group "Parents of York County School of Technology Students" said on Facebook that members had received reports that "Trump's presidential win was announced at school today amidst chants of 'white power.' That white students referred to other races as their slaves, and at some points even spit on those students."

And of course you know that if this is happening in other states that Texas will not allow themselves to be left out.

This is what happens when you put a xenophobic racist in the White House.

Hope has been replaced with fear.

Tolerance has been replaced with distrust.

And love has been replaced with hate.

Trio of sovereign citizens were planing a terrorist attack the day after the election. But no need to panic, they weren't Muslims or anything.

Courtesy of KWCH:

Acting U.S. Attorney Tom Beall says Curtis Allen, 49, Gavin Wright, 51, and Patrick Stein were all charged with domestic terrorism.

Beall said the three were planning to bomb an apartment complex and mosque in Garden City occupied by a Muslim community of about 120 Somali refugees.

Beall said the men planned to carry out the attack on Nov. 9, the day after Election Day.

He said the men stockpiled a large cache of firearms, and ammunition. Beall said the men planned to park vehicles full of explosives at all four corners of the Garden City apartment complex.

The men said they wanted to "wake people up".

Apparently these three considered themselves sovereign citizens and belonged to a militia group called "The Crusaders."

Catchy name don't you think?

Gee firearms, bombs, a coordinated attack on innocent people, if these were Islamic jihadists this would really be terrifying and worthy of media attention.

But it's just a bunch of white dudes so clearly Fox News has more important things to cover.

Tuesday, June 14, 2016

So yesterday Donald Trump just went ahead and essentially accused the President of the United States with being an Islamic terrorist sympathizer. Sure, why not?

Courtesy of Guardian:

“He doesn’t get it, or he gets it better than anybody understands. It’s one or the other,” Trump told Fox News Channel’s morning show.

“We’re led by a man that either is not tough, not smart or he’s got something else in mind,” he added, for good measure. “And the something else in mind, you know, people can’t believe it. People cannot – they cannot believe that President Obama is acting the way he acts and can’t even mention the words radical Islamic terrorism. There’s something going on. It’s inconceivable.”

This is no random brain fart from the great orange one. He took the same line to NBC’s Today show, saying: “Well, there are a lot of people that think maybe he doesn’t want to get it.”

Richard Wolffe, who wrote the article for the Guardian, pointed out the flaw in Trump's characterization:

Just to be clear: we’re talking about the same president who ordered the commando raid that killed Osama bin Laden, the civilized world’s greatest enemy.

As if that was not enough Trump went on to accuse Hillary Clinton of being too afraid of the President to use the phrase "radical Islamic terrorist" either:

Hillary Clinton uses the term "radical jihadism" rather than "radical Islamic terrorism" because she is "probably afraid" of President Barack Obama, Donald Trump said Monday.

“He’s the boss, OK? And she’s probably afraid of him because, obviously, you know, she probably thinks that he has a profound effect over her life."

Trump then added this:

"He’s protecting her from going to jail, so she’s not going to use it," Trump said.

"But I bet you that … she would love to use to those words, because almost everybody agrees that those words should be used.”

Yeah everybody who gets their news from talk radio and Fox News. Which are the same sources who would convince those people of the lie that Hillary Clinton is in danger of incarceration.

When asked about the phrase "radical Islamic terrorism" Hillary Clinton responded with this statement:

"And from my perspective, it matters what we do, not what we say. It matters that we got Bin Laden, not what name we called him," Clinton said. "But if he is somehow suggesting I don't call this for what it is, he hasn't been listening. I have clearly said we face terrorist enemies who use Islam to justify slaughtering people. We have to stop them and we will. We have to defeat radical jihadist terrorism, and we will."

Both terms "mean the same thing," Clinton continued, adding, "And to me, radical jihadism, radical Islamism, I think they mean the same thing. I'm happy to say either, but that's not the point."

"I have clearly said many, many times we face terrorist enemies who use Islam to justify slaughtering innocent people. We have to stop them and we will. We have to defeat radical jihadist terrorism or radical Islamism, whatever you call it," Clinton said later on MSNBC's "Morning Joe," reiterating, "it's the same."

So of course Trump decided to take credit for what he saw as a victory:
You know I am REALLY looking forward to Hillary and the President combining forces to stomp the crap out of this asshole in the next few months.

Sarah Palin attacks Paul Ryan for not attacking Islam in response to the Orlando nightclub attack. Even though essentially he did.

Okay get your hazmat suits on kids, cause this links to Breitbart:

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin blasted House Speaker Paul Ryan for his gutless reaction on radical Islamic terrorism — and for his criticisms of presumptive GOP nominee Donald Trump on Islam — during an exclusive interview with Stephen K. Bannon on Breitbart News Sunday on SiriusXM.

Ryan has barely condemned the terrorist attack on a gay nightclub in Orlando killed 50 and landed another 53 in the hospital.

“Paul Ryan is out of touch with his constituents,” said the former GOP vice presidential candidate. “Those who have put their faith in with their sacred vote.” (Sacred vote? Does that come with a super secret decoder ring?)

Leaders like Ryan have not come up with the plan or the will to confront the threat, she said. “What is the number of lives lost before our leadership will wake up and deal with the problem?” (Inadequate gun control laws?)

“It’s a deadly ideology. It is embraced by people who lie,” she said. “They will strike again. They will continue.” (Oh she's talking about Islam. Dammit I should have guessed Islam.)

Palin then of course said that Donald Trump was right about keeping Islamic refugees out of the country, even though the Orlando shooter was born in America.

But wait, there's more:

“It is ‘We the People’ who have to educate each other, do our homework,” she said. “Then, we circle the wagons. That’s how we survive, we circle the wagons.” (Okay, I don't even have a wagon. Do you guys have a wagon? Seriously who has a wagon these days?)

“The RINOs [Republicans in Name Only], the establishment, the permanent political class — they don’t care who wins an election as long as they are protected, their pocketbook, their power, their name tag that they get to wear with a big title on it. That is their motivation. To them politics is a business. They are in it for a season, not a reason. And their season all has to do with self-protection and financial gain,” she said. ("To them politics is a business." How does this woman not overdose on irony like five times a day?)

“The rest of us — we don’t care about the money (Ha!), we don’t care about the titles, the power, the offices. No, we’re busy living our lives and raising our families and running our businesses. And we just want the best for this exceptional nation. We do want it to be great again, and that is why so many of us jumped on the Trump train.”

At the end of the article Palin characterizes Trump as, and I kid you not, "this blue collar billionaire in touch with the people."

Man I knew she would be back, but even I did not expect her to be this tightly wound.

So do you want to know the stupidest part?

Yes, I know the whole thing is stupid, but there is even something dumber.

Paul Ryan, DID condemn Islamist terrorists:

House of Representatives Speaker Paul Ryan, commenting on Sunday's mass shooting in Orlando, said: "As we heal, we need to be clear-eyed about who did this. We are a nation at war with Islamist terrorists."

I'm not exactly sure how much more condemning that Sarah Palin wants, perhaps she wants Ryan to tell people to start punching hijab wearing women in the face or something, but that seemed like some fairly aggressive religious intolerance to me.

Here let me end with this.

Islam did not kill those 50 or more people yesterday.

Homophobia did not rip the flesh off of more than a hundred people in a nightclub in Florida.

Terrorism did not provide the means for the worst mass shooting in America history.
These did.

It really does not matter why these people kill our fellow citizens, it matters how.

And the answer to how is that they are living in a country which fervently believes that it is everybody's right to have access to the deadliest weapons available. And if dozens, and dozens, of people die, well that is just the cost of freedom.

American style.

Here is the video that Richard Dawkins sent to the Reason Rally this year.

Religious people described as cowards.

And people say that I'M not diplomatic.

Still he makes excellent points.

P.S. I should probably add that in light of the events that took place in Orlando, this video seemed especially appropriate. Hiding behind religion to camouflage your inhumanity to man may be one of the most prevalent acts of cowardice that we see.

Just another glimpse into Donald Trump's America.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

In a video posted to Twitter by AJPlus, weekend warriors in Texas explain that they will be using bullets dipped in pigs blood or smeared with bacon’ grease when the time comes to stop the “Arab uprising” they believe will overrun their state.

In the video, one unidentified militia member explains the importance of using pork-dipped bullets.

“A lot of us here are using either pig’s blood or bacon grease on our bullets, ” he explains, adding, “So that when you shoot a Muslim they go straight to hell. That’s what they believe in their religion.”

Added another militia member, “Don’t f*ck with white people,” before showing off his shooting prowess with a shotgun.

Putting pig's blood on bullets, now where would they get a ridiculous idea like that?

Oh yeah, that's right:

Presidential front-runner Donald Trump on Saturday resurrected an apparent hoax story about Muslims being executed with bullets “dipped in pig’s blood.”

What a bunch of redneck inbred douchenozzles.

In other news just yesterday Donald Trump's appearance in California, you know the same one that Sarah Palin dragged her Down syndrome child and still convalescing husband to, was met by a rather large crowd of very agitated protesters:

Those awaiting Donald Trump’s arrival in San Diego on Friday were mostly peaceful. But once he gave his speech and left, small fights broke out in the streets outside the Convention Center among crowds of supporters and protesters, and police in riot gear ended up massing to drive the crowds from the area.

In one clash near Harbor Drive, thrown items hit people in the head, and several small street fights erupted in the same area, as the environment outdoors became tense when anti-Trump crowds started to mix with his supporters just before 5 p.m.

San Diego police declared an unlawful assembly in the Gaslamp Quarter due to violence about 4:40 p.m., announcing in Spanish and English that people needed to disperse. Officers with riot gear were moving among the crowd.

Several people were also throwing plastic bottles, some that hit police officers, near Petco Park on L Street between 5th and 6th avenues. Also nearby, someone grabbed a man's "Make America Great Again" hat and burned it.

So on the one side we have heavily armed dipshits practicing to kill Muslims in this country, and on the other side a much larger group of brown skinned Americans who see a Donald Trump presidency as a very real danger to their safety and the safety of their families.

I think at this point it is legitimate to ask if America has any hope of even surviving a Donald Trump presidency?

I think you know my answer.
