More fallout from that traitorous Republican letter to the Iranian government.

Boy Senator Bernie Sanders certainly did not mince words:  

Speaking with a group of reporters following his speech at the International Association of Fire Fighters presidential forum in Washington, the Vermont senator said the 47 Republican senators warning Iran of a deal on its nuclear program are trying to “sabotage” a agreement. Story Continued Below 

“[M]y Republican friends seem to be itching for that war,” said Sanders, an independent who is openly considering a presidential bid as a Democrat. “When you sabotage the effort to reach a peace agreement by the leader of the United States of America — the man who is charged with dealing with foreign policy — that, to me, is really unspeakable.” 

My sentiments exactly!

And there are a whole lot of people who feel the same. Which explains why a petition urging the federal government to file charges against the 47 senators for violating the Logan Act has already received almost 150,000 signatures.

As for the traitors themselves, well some of them have started to rethink their decision to sign that letter in the first place: 

A day after releasing a letter that potentially threatened the administration’s negotiations with Iran, some Republicans who signed on are realizing it was a bad call. 

Behind the scenes, Republicans are wondering if sending an open letter to Iran’s leaders was the best strategy to keep a bad nuclear deal from being negotiated.

Yeah well too fucking late. This is adulthood, there are to "take backs."

No these assholes made this choice and let's hope that it causes them all kinds of problem with their constituents and in their bids for reelection.

I mean at some point, enough has to be enough.

Joe Biden chastises the Republican party for allowing themselves to be bullied by freshmen Senators Ted Cruz and Rand Paul.

"What part of doing their job do these idiots not understand?"

While campaigning for Ed Markey's Senate campaign in Massachusetts, Biden said this:  

"This is not your father’s Republican Party. It really is a fundamentally different party. There’s never been as much distance, at least since I’ve been alive, distance between where the mainstream of the Republican congressional party is and the Democratic Party is. It’s a chasm. It’s a gigantic chasm.” 

Biden said the "last thing" the country needs is a new senator who will back Cruz and Paul. 

“Think about this,” he said. “Have you ever seen a time when two freshman senators are able to cower the bulk of the Republican Party in the Senate? That is not hyperbole.” 

The vice president pointed specifically to the Senate's rejection of expanded background checks earlier this year. Biden said he reached out to 17 senators, including nine Republicans, ahead of the vote to urge them to support the measure. 

"Not one of offered an explanation on the merits of why they couldn’t vote for the background check," Biden said. "But almost to a person, they said, ‘I don’t want to take on Ted Cruz. I don’t want to take on Rand Paul. They’ll be in my district.’" 

Biden continued: “I actually said, ‘Are you kidding? These are two freshmen.'"

Yeah essentially the Republican party is not longer a viable political party due to the fact they are  unable to compromise or make deals on ANYTHING due to the fact that the wingnuts have so vilified this President, and his party, that working with them is now considered political death for a Republican.

It cannot be stressed enough that the only hope for progress is to get rid of as many Republicans in the Senate and Congress as possible until the obstructionists on the Right have been removed or rendered impotent.

Just remember who worked to get Ted Cruz elected in the first place.

"Good job Ted, you are proving how broken Washington is every day that you are there!"

New GOP ad uses footage of grieving mother of slain six year old to attack President and celebrate their ability to block any new legislation coming from the White House or Democrats.

Even as poll after poll shows that obstruction of the Toomey/Manchin background check bill is more poisonous than a dart frog with an attitude, the Republican National Committee has decided to release an ad bragging about it. Political wisdom aside, though, the RNC has crossed a line that should cost them dearly with voters who have any sense of decency. Included in their gloating attack ad was a still frame of President Obama consoling Nicole Hockley, mother of Dylan Hockley, who was six years old when he was murdered at Sandy Hook Elementary School. The shot was taken minutes after the Republicans defeated the bill with a minority of votes. 

On Thursday afternoon’s Martin Bashir show, host Martin Bashir played a portion of the ad, and while this disgrace needed Bashir’s outrage if anything ever did, he was struck nearly speechless. “It’s one thing for republicans to celebrate their obstruction of the President’s efforts to prevent children from being massacred by semiautomatic firearms. that’s par for the course. But to feature a grieving mother, whose 6 -year-old has just been murdered?” 

There really are no words for how despicable this ad is, because they’re not just rubbing President Obama’s face in it, they’re rubbing Nicole’s, and every other Newtown parent who supported the effort that the Republicans sabotaged. This was an attack ad against them. You betcha, Reince Priebus, you sure showed Nicole Hockley! Pop the cork, and drink the delicious tears. You earned them.

It is hard to find new ways to get me to hate the Republic party these days, but congratulations  GOP you did it again!

The footage of grieving mother Nicole Hockley being comforted by the President being used in an ad celebrating his inability to protect future six years olds thanks to the obstructionism of your party is a so despicable it seems that the Republican party has now cast THEMSELVES as the evil super-villians fighting against the causes of good.

And they must have been over the top with glee to have captured that sound bite of the President jokingly suggesting that perhaps he should  "just pack up and go home." THAT it what they have been trying to get him to actually do since the day he was inaugurated.

There are NO LONGER two different political parties working toward the betterment of the country or on behalf of their constituents, albeit  perhaps with different ideologies and concerns. No today we have one President trying to get things accomplished, and his political party supporting him, and a group of individuals who are simply there to make sure that no progress is ever made.

And one of them even admitted that.

In other words the Republican party has now become the party of traitors to their country, and the ONLY way we will ever see any progress is to vote as many of them out in the 2014 election as is humanly possible.

Republicans in some states have decided to stop pussy footing around, simply do away with the Constitution and impose their will on their citizens with no regard for their welfare or religious faith.

Republican North Carolina state legislators have proposed allowing an official state religion in a measure that would declare the state exempt from the Constitution and court rulings. 

The bill, filed Monday by two GOP lawmakers from Rowan County and backed by nine other Republicans, says each state "is sovereign" and courts cannot block a state "from making laws respecting an establishment of religion." The legislation was filed in response to a lawsuit to stop county commissioners in Rowan County from opening meetings with a Christian prayer, wral.com reported. 

The religion bill comes as some Republican-led states seek to separate themselves from the federal government, primarily on the issues of guns and Obamacare. This includes a proposal in Mississippi to establish a state board with the power to nullify federal laws.

I always like how the Republicans inflame their constituents by implying that President Obama and the Federal government are the ones not respecting the Constitution, but when it serves their needs they are the first to take a giant crap on it.

After all wasn't it George Bush who once said:

"Stop throwing the Constitution in my face," Bush screamed back. "It's just a goddamned piece of paper!"

The ONLY reason that these assholes argue for freedom of religion is that they fear someday THEIR religion will be blocked from having an impact on government, and then they will no longer have the cudgel to use in order to drive through bills that undermine our freedoms and impose their faith base prejudices on this nation.

I have watched for decades as the Evangelicals have stacked the courts, the school boards, their city assemblies, and the federal government with religious zealots, all with the ultimate goal of driving out the influences of secularism and other religious faiths so that one day they can run this nation as they see fit.

As a theocracy.

It looks like North Carolina just got tired of waiting.

Apparently CPAC showed a video encouraging viewers to prepare to take up arms to fight their government. Gee, and we thought the craziest thing there was Sarah Palin and a Big Gulp!

The video, a thinly veiled advertisement for violent insurrection from the “Tea Party Patriots" group, boasts professional acting and Hollywood production values. But underneath its bright, professional sheen lurk dark overtones of End Times paranoia that will resonate with millions of American fundamentalists. Its apocalyptic imagery is as ancient as Revelations, its glossy look as modern as a Revlon ad, and its near-subliminal barrage of rapid-cut imagery rings with the terror-fueled sermons of 1,000 preachers. 

It stands on its own as agitprop-cum-entertainment for the far right, which is filled with armchair revolutionaries whose favorite fantasies involve the same elements used in this video: attractive people, video-game-like locations, nightmarish bureaucracies and the world-changing power of their own oratory. “Let our lives be the spark that ignites the fire of liberty,” the protagonist shouts at one point. His words resonate with memories of historical heroes who made the ultimate sacrifice rather than yield to tyranny.

You know for a minute there I thought this was another one of those bad ScyFy Channel presentations. But come to think of it Sharktopus had a much more believable plot.

Apparently in the Tea Party version of "taking back our country," it has a lot to do with breaking credit cards in half, though I am not exactly sure how that helps throw off the yoke of oppression.

"I am going to break this cheap ass card in half and run around dressed in leather until you stop giving me stuff !"

Yeah you know nothing makes the nipples on these teabagging morons harder than the idea or overthrowing the government voted into place by the people they don't agree with.

Apparently their definition of a "patriot" is much, much different than the one found in the dictionary used by most Americans.

Secret Militia WITHIN the military caught planning terrorist attacks as well as the assassination of the President.

 Four Army soldiers based in southeast Georgia killed a former comrade and his girlfriend to protect an anarchist militia group they formed that stockpiled assault weapons and plotted a range of anti-government attacks, prosecutors told a judge Monday. 

Prosecutors in rural Long County, near the sprawling Army post Fort Stewart, said the militia group composed of active duty and former U.S. military members spent at least $87,000 buying guns and bomb components and was serious enough to kill two people – former soldier Michael Roark and his 17-year-old girlfriend, Tiffany York – by shooting them in the woods last December in order to keep its plans secret. 

"This domestic terrorist organization did not simply plan and talk," prosecutor Isabel Pauley told a Superior Court judge. "Prior to the murders in this case, the group took action. Evidence shows the group possessed the knowledge, means and motive to carry out their plans." 

One of the Fort Stewart soldiers charged in the case, Army Pfc. Michael Burnett, also gave testimony that backed up many of the assertions made by prosecutors. The 26-year-old soldier pleaded guilty Monday to manslaughter, illegal gang activity and other charges. He made a deal to cooperate with prosecutors in their case against the three other soldiers. 

Prosecutors said the group called itself F.E.A.R., short for Forever Enduring Always Ready. Pauley said authorities don't know how many members the militia had.

Holy crap!

You know the informant that I have been working with, that has been helping me piece together the behind the scenes information concerning the Schaeffer Cox trial, has also been warning me about other militia plots around the country. I have not been able to confirm that this is one of them, but it certainly fits with some of the information that I had been given concerning the military's involvement.

According to my source these militia movements are growing in size, and there does not seem to any end in sight. Hatred for Obama seems to be the fuel which drives their passions, and inflames their tendencies toward violence.

This group was especially dangerous in that one of their plots was the assassination of President Barack Obama himself:

Aguigui, according to Georgia prosecutors, financed a plot to kill the president, take over Ft. Stewart and poison apple orchards in Washington state with a $500,000 insurance settlement he got last year after his wife's death. The group—its numbers are unknown—called itself F.E.A.R., for Forever Enduring, Always Ready. 

This, by the way, is what results from the constant drumbeat coming from the Right Wing that Obama is planning to introduce Sharia Law in America, or overthrow the government, which is also what had that judge in Texas all riled up.

I really do fear that once the President wins his second term that this kind of thing will simply explode all over the country. And when it does will THAT finally be the wake up call that gets the Republicans to start acting responsibly? Or will they simply throw their lot in with the domestic terrorists and help to usher in the second civil war in this country?

Because right now, I am not sure I know the answer to that question.

Americans are starting to catch on that the GOP is sabotaging the economy on purpose.

I am not a big Ed Show watcher as a rule, and I especially ignore programs that feature a guest host, but I found THIS one very interesting.

Lot's of very troubling information in this to help you understand just how devious the Republicans are being this election cycle.

From now on I don't think we should bother to mince words, essentially this Republican party is made up of traitors, and the American people deserve to know that!
