Just in case you are still not aware of how badly Donald Trump crashed and burned during his Fox and Friends interview yesterday, I present this tweet as proof.
Keep in mind that was just one small piece of a rambling 30 minute interview, during which Trump seemed to be purposefully committing political and legal suicide. As a citizen you should know how much the president really lost it by the end of this interview today... pic.twitter.com/3cnueHZl45— Maddow Blog (@MaddowBlog) April 27, 2018
Here are some other highlights (Or if you prefer, lowlights.).
On his, at the time, pick to head the VA Ronny Jackson:
"(Jackson) has a perfect record. He's got this beautiful record unblemished."
Boy that worked out well didn't it?
Decision to fire James Comey:
"I did a great thing for the American people by firing him."
Uh huh.
On interfering with the Mueller investigation:
" I'm very disappointed in my Justice Department but because of the fact that it's going under, and I think you'll understand this, I have decided that I won't be involved. I may change my mind at some point because what's going on is a disgrace."
"And our Justice Department, which I try and stay away from, but at some point I won't."
So he MIGHT interfere. But then again, he might not.
Trump history lesson:
"If you go back to the Civil War it was the Republicans that really did the thing."
Yeah, you know the Republicans did the thing, at that place, during, you know, the time.
Trump grades his own presidency:
"I would give myself an A+."
I have to wonder if after this bizarre performance even Trump's most staunch supporters would give his presidency anything but an F-?

Trump lawyer Michael Cohen pleads the fifth, and the Donald finally admits that he represents him in the Stormy Daniels debacle.
Courtesy of TPM:
President Donald Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen said in a court filing Wednesday that he would plead the Fifth Amendment in adult film star Stephanie Clifford’s lawsuit over a nondisclosure agreement she signed in 2016.
In a court filing Wednesday, Cohen tied the criminal probe directly to his assertion of Fifth Amendment rights in the civil suit.
“I will assert my 5th amendment rights in connection with all proceedings in this case due to the ongoing criminal investigation by the FBI and U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of New York,” he said in part. Cohen last week asked U.S. District Judge James Otero to delay the civil suit due to its overlap with the criminal probe.
So to be clear Trump's lawyer is refusing to answer questions in court because he is worried those answers will incriminate him in a criminal activity.
Well now, isn't THAT interesting?
Also today Trump called into Fox and Friends, and finally admitted what we have known all along.
Also courtesy of TPM:
The President said Michael Cohen is mainly a businessman and only secondarily a lawyer. That at least undercuts his privilege argument. He says what prosecutors are looking at only has to do with Cohen’s personal business dealings, not with his representation of Donald Trump. He also said that he knows nothing about Cohen’s private business dealings. (“I don’t know his business… They’re looking at something having to do with his business. I have nothing to do with his business.”) That’s almost certainly false.
That is also going to make it hard for Cohen to claim executive privilege to keep the Feds from digging through the files that confiscated.
And then there was also this:
Trump says explicitly for the first time that Cohen does represent him with Stormy Daniels: “He represents me like with this crazy Stormy Daniels deal.”
Boom! There you have it.
I mean WE knew it all along, but Trump and the White House was working hard not to admit this.
I imagine that after this admission Trump's lawyers spent the morning banging their heads against the wall, but is certainly made at least one lawyer very happy.

Just in case you were wondering who was responsible for the attack on Syria yesterday, well the answer of course is Fox News.
Courtesy of Think Progress:
On Friday morning, Fox & Friends host Ainsley Earhardt suggested that military strikes in Syria could be useful to divert attention from the unflattering portrayal of President Trump contained in former FBI Director James Comey’s book.
“If the president, and France, and the U.K decide to strike Syria, don’t you think that story would be a bigger story than Comey’s book that’s released on Tuesday?” she said.
Earhardt’s suggestion came while Trump is reportedly still considering a potential military strike against Syria — and amid an edition of Fox & Friends that was largely devoted to sullying Comey’s reputation.
That's right folks, we now live in a country where the foreign policy is determined by an airhead sitting on a couch spouting nonsense to a cable news audience.
A cable news audience which includes the president of the United States.
By the way if you are looking for a little bright spot of joy to be taken from this attack on Syria, you can find it by watching Alex Jones lose his mind over his hero's decision to launch this military strike.
There are actually a LOT of these videos of Jones frothing at the mouth and screaming expletives at his cameraman, but they are too over the top to show even here on IM.
By the way, I for one am not distracted from the Mueller investigation, or the FBI investigation of Michael Cohen. Just in case anybody was wondering.

Devin Nunes claims that Donald Trump never met George Papadopoulos. Uh..really?
Courtesy of The Week:NUNES downplays PAPADOPOULOS' role in Trump campaign, claims he shouldn't have been investigated for drunkenly bragging about Russia having dirt on Clinton.— Aaron Rupar (@atrupar) February 5, 2018
"As far as we can tell, Papadopoulos never even knew who Trump wa-- never even met with the president." pic.twitter.com/NgMdzdXVPM
Rep. Devin Nunes (R-Calif.) appeared on Fox & Friends on Monday to talk about the FBI's investigation into collusion between the Trump campaign and Russia. Specifically, he made some questionable claims downplaying the importance of President Trump's former foreign policy adviser, George Papadopolous, who has proved surprisingly essential to a swirl of controversy in Washington.
Papadopolous triggered the FBI's probe of the Trump campaign and Russia, thanks to a drunken conversation with an Australian diplomat in which he touted Russia's hacking efforts against Hillary Clinton during the 2016 election. He has also been indicted for lying to the FBI — but Nunes claimed that none of that really matters, because Papadopolous played such a minor role in the Trump campaign. In fact, "as far as we can tell, Papadopoulos … never even had met with the president," Nunes told host Brian Kilmeade.
That claim is untrue. Papadopoulos not only provoked the FBI probe, but he also edited foreign policy speeches for Trump and arranged meetings on the then-candidate's behalf with foreign leaders.
Oh, and there's also this picture.
That is Trump at the head of the table and Papadopoulos to his right, separated by only three people.
It should also be noted that Trump himself tweeted this picture out back in March of 2016.
You know it's kind of like Nunes is trapped in one of those sensory deprivation chambers where he remains completely cut off from reality.
Or else he is just a compulsive liar, like his boss.

The Republican's "Secret Society" conspiracy theory falls apart in hilarious fashion.
On Tuesday, Senator Ron Johnson (R-WI) appeared on Fox News to declare that a text message he had seen between fired FBI agent Peter Strzok and FBI lawyer Lisa Page was a smoking gun that proved there was a “secret society” within the Federal Bureau of Investigation dedicated to bringing down President Donald Trump. By Thursday, however, when the text had been revealed by ABC News to appear to be harmless banter between the pair, Johnson was forced to admit to the “real possibility” that the text was a joke.
Naturally, Twitter pundits were very happy to pounce on the news, heaping scorn on Johnson and the other Republican congressmen pushing the “secret society” conspiracy.
This latest controversy actually began several months back when the Robert Mueller investigation into possible collusion between the Russian government and members of the Trump administration to affect the outcome of the 2016 presidential election announced that agent Peter Strzok was being fired after it was discovered that he had sent text messages insulting to the president. Republican members of both the Senate and House Intelligence Committees, who are also investigating the Trump-Russia scandal, then asked to see the texts in question to determine if there was an anti-Trump bias in the FBI. The FBI released some texts to the committees but announced that texts from a five-month period were “lost.” According to a report from CNN, this alarmed Republican members of the House Committee, such as Trey Gowdy (R-SC) and Matt Gaetz (R-FL), who were proponents of the theory that there was a “deep state” coup being attempted by members of the intelligence services to unseat President Trump. The FBI has said that the texts were “lost” due to a “glitch” in the system.
Donald Trump himself commented on the missing emails, tweeting it was “one of the biggest stories in a long time.”
Of course Trey "Benghazi" Gowdy and Fox News also took the bait:
Investigative journalist Sara Carter joined "Fox & Friends" Tuesday morning to react to newly revealed text messages exchanged between top FBI counterintelligence official Peter Strzok and senior FBI lawyer Lisa Page, with whom Strzok was having an extramarital affair.
According to Reps. Trey Gowdy (R-S.C.) and Rep. John Ratcliffe (R-Texas), who saw the messages, Strzok makes reference to a "secret society" of anti-Trump agents within the Department of Justice and the FBI who had their first meeting the day after Trump won the election in November 2016.
Can you say "smoking gun?"
Well don't say it yet, because as it turns out this is all based on a joke.
Courtesy of HuffPo:
One text that Page sent Strzok early on the morning of Nov. 9, 2016, has dominated the conservative media world this week, serving as a springboard for a Republican conspiracy theory suggesting that the nation’s premier law enforcement organization was plotting a coup against Trump within hours of his stunning victory.
“Are you even going to give out your calendars? Seems kind of depressing,” Page, a FBI lawyer, wrote in the text to Strzok from her FBI-issued phone. “Maybe it should just be the first meeting of the secret society.”
Republican lawmakers seized upon the “secret society” reference this week, claiming to see sinister motives, and it started popping up all over cable news chyrons. But, in fact, it was almost certainly a joke, a bit of gallows humor after an election that featured Russian interference.
So what was that “calendars” reference all about? Out of context, it’s a bit confusing. But the backstory is actually kind of funny. The New York Times first reported that the “calendars,” which the Times said had a “Russia theme,” were a gag gift for those working on the early Russia probe.
A source familiar with the text messages filled HuffPost in on the details. It turns out that, as a joke, Strzok had purchased calendars featuring “beefcake” photos of Vladimir Putin doing manly, tough-guy things like riding a horse.
I have to say at this point I do not know how anybody takes Fox News or the Republican party seriously anymore.

President Trump grew frustrated with lawmakers Thursday in the Oval Office when they discussed protecting immigrants from Haiti, El Salvador and African countries as part of a bipartisan immigration deal, according to several people briefed on the meeting.
“Why are we having all these people from shithole countries come here?” Trump said, according to these people, referring to countries mentioned by the lawmakers.
Trump then suggested that the United States should instead bring more people from countries such as Norway, whose prime minister he met with Wednesday. The president, according to a White House official, also suggested he would be open to more immigrants from Asian countries because he felt that they help the United States economically.
In addition, the president singled out Haiti, telling lawmakers that immigrants from that country must be left out of any deal, these people said.
“Why do we need more Haitians?” Trump said, according to people familiar with the meeting. “Take them out.”
These remarks received universal condemnation from just about everybody, including Fox News.
But rather than apologize Trump did what Trump does best.
He denied he ever said it.
The language used by me at the DACA meeting was tough, but this was not the language used. What was really tough was the outlandish proposal made - a big setback for DACA!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 12, 2018
Yep, once again Trump claims that everybody else is lying, and only HE is the source of the actual truth.Never said anything derogatory about Haitians other than Haiti is, obviously, a very poor and troubled country. Never said “take them out.” Made up by Dems. I have a wonderful relationship with Haitians. Probably should record future meetings - unfortunately, no trust!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) January 12, 2018
Jim Comey lied, the Hollywood Access tape lied, author Michael Wolff lied, the Democrats lied, and all of those women making accusations of improper sexual contact are a bunch of damn liars.
Problem in this case of course is that Trump came to prominence by promoting the racist lie that Barack Obama was not born in America.
So I doubt there are many people willing to give him the benefit of the doubt on this.

Gene Simmons has done the impossible and been banned for life from Fox News for being an abusive pig. Update!
— FOX & friends (@foxandfriends) November 15, 2017This was Simmons on Fox and Friends right before he decided to stab his career as a conservative cable news guest right through the heart.
Courtesy of the Daily Beast:
Things seemed to be going well enough when Simmons jumped up from the Fox & Friends couch to help meteorologist Janice Dean do her weather report—a delighted Dean later posted video on her Twitter feed—and then sat on a panel with Bartiromo, who asked his views on the Harvey Weinstein sexual-misconduct scandal.
“The lunatics have taken over the insane asylum when respected business entities such as yourself ask guys that like to stick their tongues out,” Simmons answered, “what I think of Harvey Weinstein.”
“Okay, I’m a powerful and attractive man, and what I’m about to say is deadly serious,” he continued. “Men are jackasses. From the time we’re young we have testosterone. I’m not validating it or defending it.”
Maybe not, but within minutes he was demonstrating it. According to a knowledgeable Fox News source, Simmons showed up on the 14th floor to do a book-plugging interview with FoxNews.com’s entertainment section, but instead barged in on a staff meeting uninvited.
“Hey chicks, sue me!” he shouted, and then pulled open his red velvet shirt to reveal his chest and belly, according to the source. Then he starting telling Michael Jackson pedophilia jokes, and then bopped two employees on the head with his book, making derisive comments about their comparative intelligence according to the sound their heads made when struck.
“It was pretty severe,” the source said.
Simmons' behavior was reported up the chain to human resources and it was decided that he would be banned from Fox News for life, and that his prerecorded interview would NOT be shown.
Wow!
So now the former home of Roger Ailes and Bill O'Reilly is banning physically abusive chauvinistic pigs from the building.
Look out Sean Hannity!

Brian Kilmeade of Fox and Friends suggests that 9-11 memorials are in danger of being removed like Confederate statues.
Courtesy of Raw Story:Fox & Friends seriously just compared a 9/11 memorial to Confederate statues, asking if we'll be tearing down 9/11 memorials in 100 years: pic.twitter.com/Y5Xg1dsB0d— Carlos Maza (@gaywonk) September 11, 2017
During an interview with Secretary of the Interior Ryan Zinke, Kilmeade asked if he had any concern about the future security of the Flight 93 National Monument, which he suggested could become a target for activists in the same way that statues of Confederate Generals Robert E. Lee and Stonewall Jackson have become targets.
“Do you worry 100 years from now someone’s going to try to take that memorial down like they’re trying to remake our memorials today?” he asked.
Zinke didn’t directly respond to Kilmeade’s question, and he only issued a vague platitude about learning from history.
“Well I’m one that believes that you know we should learn from history,” he replied. “And I think our monuments are part of our country’s history. We can learn from it. Since we don’t put up statues of Jesus, everyone’s going to fall morally short.”
I am not sure how having statues of Jesus would make us all moral, but this entire conversation is so stupid that it makes my head ache.
The majority of the Confederate statues were put up between the 1890's and the 1950's to glorify the Civil War and to remind Black folks that people fought and died to keep them in slavery.
That is not even remotely like building a monument to those who died in the biggest terrorist attack in American history.
Just the very fact that this has to be explained to the host of a cable news program suggests that Fox News should be removed from the airwaves to preserve the intelligence of the American people.

While engaged in campaign to stop leaks Donald Trump retweets classified information about North Korea.
Now the problem with his retweet is that the information Fox and Friends is posting about is classified.
In fact when they had UN Ambassador Nikki Haley on and asked her about it, this is how she replied:
When Haley was on Fox & Friends this morning, Steve Doocy asked her to comment. Haley responded, “I can’t. I can’t talk about anything that’s classified, and if that’s in the newspaper, that’s a shame.”
Doocy followed up, “You have no reason to believe that’s not accurate, though.” Haley again declined to comment, but said it’s “incredibly dangerous when things get out into the press like that.”
Well it looks like Jeff Sessions will have to start handing out those subpoenas to Fox News and the White House post haste.
Of course none of us should be surprised by this as Trump has already handed over secret information to the Russians.
Perhaps somebody should call Mitch McConnell every time something like this happens and ask him if he is still convinced that this shitgibbon is better than electing Hillary Clinton.

Donald Trump accused the New York Times of allowing a terrorist to escape. The New York Times corrects the record.
You may remember seeing this tweet Saturday:
I also thought that it was most likely bullshit.
And I was right.
Courtesy of the New York Times:
Mr. Trump’s statement appeared to be based on a report by Fox News; he is known to be an avid viewer, and a version of the story was broadcast about 25 minutes before he posted. The report said that The Times had disclosed intelligence in an article on June 8, 2015, about an American military raid in Syria that led to the death of one of Mr. Baghdadi’s key lieutenants, Abu Sayyaf, and the capture of his wife, who played an important role in the group.
That Fox News report cited comments by Gen. Tony Thomas, the head of the United States Special Operations Command, in an interview conducted Friday by the network’s intelligence correspondent, Catherine Herridge, at the Aspen Security Forum in Colorado.
General Thomas said that a valuable lead on Mr. Baghdadi’s whereabouts “was leaked in a prominent national newspaper about a week later and that lead went dead.” He did not name The Times.
But a review of the record shows that information made public in a Pentagon news release more than three weeks before the Times article, and extensively covered at the time by numerous news media outlets, would have tipped off Mr. Baghdadi that the United States was questioning an important Islamic State operative who knew of his recent whereabouts and some of his methods of communication. Further, the information in the Times article on June 8 came from United States government officials who were aware that the details would be published.
So Trump essentially attacked the New York Times for accurately reporting news, based on fake news that he heard on Fox and Friends.
Now I don't know if the Times has a legal case against Trump for essentially accusing them of interfering in America's war on terrorism, and helping an enemy to escape, but the reason that I don't know is because NOTHING like this has ever happened before.
Ever!
All I know is that we are in very, very dangerous waters here, and if Trump remains in office much longer there is no telling the amount of damage he might cause.
I remember reading that and having no damn idea what Trump was talking about, but realizing that he was essentially accusing the NYT or treason. The Failing New York Times foiled U.S. attempt to kill the single most wanted terrorist,Al-Baghdadi.Their sick agenda over National Security— Donald J. Donald Trump is now accusing former FBI Director James Comey of leaking classified information in his memos.
This seems to be based on reporting from, who else, Fox and Friends.James Comey leaked CLASSIFIED INFORMATION to the media. That is so illegal!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) July 10, 2017
And THAT reporting links to an article over on The Hill.Report accuses material James Comey leaked to a friend contained top secret information pic.twitter.com/Hkg4cAb6o9— FOX & friends (@foxandfriends) July 10, 2017
Now what is interesting about that Hill article is that it was written by a John Solomon, who was just named as The Hill's Executive Vice President, Digital.
Before that he was the editor-in-chief of the Sun Myung Moon founded Washington Times, a conservative new outlet.
In between these two jobs Solomon worked for Circa News, which is owned by the Sinclair Group.
Now if THAT name seems familiar it is because you remember that amazing story that John Oliver did on Sinclair Group buying up local TV news outlets in order to push a conservative agenda and pepper them with Right Wing talking points.
So while I am not saying that for sure this story about James Comey leaking classified information in his memos is bullshit, I think we can all assume that it is bovine excrement of some sort.
Which is more or less backed up by Comey's law professor buddy.
Courtesy of CNN:
The Columbia University Law School professor and confidant of former FBI Director James Comey refuted a charge by President Donald Trump and his advocates in the media Monday: that Comey shared classified information with journalists.
Daniel Richman, with whom Comey shared at least one memo -- the contents of which Richman shared with New York Times reporter Michael Schmidt -- said President Trump was simply wrong.
"No memo was given to me that was marked 'classified,'" Daniel Richman told CNN. "No memo was passed on to the Times."
Richman did share the contents of one memo, he said, but "the substance of the memo passed on to the Times was not marked classified and to my knowledge remains unclassified."
And let's face it if ANYBODY knows how to draft a memo without revealing classified information it is the former director of the FBI.
I'm going to go ahead and call this a clumsy diversion from Donald Trump.
This story about his son and the Russian attorney is clearly causing him great concern and he is just throwing shit out there in the hopes that the press will chase after it and leave this story alone.

This just in from the Donald Trump propaganda network.
Check out how this tool Peter Hegseth starts this interview:EXCLUSIVE: @PeteHegseth sits down with President Trump to talk health care, vets, & hostility among the parties. https://t.co/Xe9aJcCxZN— FOX & friends (@foxandfriends) June 25, 2017
"You've faced resistance on this bill, but of course you've faced resistance on the entirety of you agenda. Whose been your biggest opponent? Has it been Democrats resisting, has it been fake news media, has it been deep state leaks?"
That is literally how Alex Jones would start an interview with Donald Trump.
No wonder Trump only gives interviews to Fox News, if they could ask questions out of the corner of their mouths while attached leech-like to his giant tangerine ass they would do it.
Pretty clear why CNN called Fox and Friends "State TV."
In the interview Trump once again refers to Senator Elizabeth Warren as "Pocahontas," while suggesting that is was an insult to the actual Pocahontas.
He also claims that Warren's anger hurt Hillary's campaign, because you know a woman showing emotion or passion is always a bad thing in Trump's world.
That's why Melania rarely ever changes her expression.
Trump also got a little testy at Barack Obama who called the GOP health care bill "mean."
Trump was not upset that he called it that, he was upset because he claims he coined the phrase.
Toward the end of the interview (At the 6:29 mark.) Trump also claimed that he JUST learned that former President Obama knew about the Russian interference before the election. Here's the transcript. Here's Trump confirming to Fox that he called AHCA "mean": "Mean. That was my term." pic.twitter.com/rdipDc3Dtu— Kyle Griffin (@kylegriffin1) June 25, 2017
(WTF? We all knew about the Russian interference before the election, so of course Obama knew.)
Trump then once again slams Obama for not doing more to stop the Russians from getting him elected.
I swear every time I watch an interview with Donald Trump I have to ask myself whether or not I am having some kind of LSD flashback. Because it just doesn't seem like it could be happening in real life.
And damn don't we all wish it wasn't.

CNN anchor calls Fox and Friends "State TV." Which of course it is.
Courtesy of The Hill:
CNN anchor John King blasted Fox News's morning show as "state TV" on Friday as he accused Fox's Ainsley Earhardt of throwing President Trump softball questions in a new interview.
King made the comment after airing a clip of the interview from "Fox and Friends" where Trump explained his recent declaration that he had no tapes of his conversations with former FBI Director James Comey. Trump implied on Twitter weeks ago that he could have recorded Comey.
As Trump answered, Earhardt added that she believed Trump's tactic was a "smart way to make sure [Comey] stayed honest in his hearings."
"Let's set aside the tough, probing questions on state TV there," King said Friday on CNN's "Inside Politics" to chuckles from the panel.
This somewhat offhand comment is of course factually accurate, as Trump constantly fires off tweets based on what he sees on Fox and Friends, while in return they kiss his ass so hard it leaves bright orange lip shaped bruises.
However the problem is that it is coming from CNN. And Trump supporters think that CNN is the epicenter of "fake news."
They have been conditioned to believe that any news they do not want to hear is "fake," and anything that backs up their racism, superstition, or distrust of "the other" is of course true.
And don't think that Fox News is the only source of Trump propaganda TV either.
I woke up this morning to Hugh Hewitt, a man that Salon labeled "Sean Hannity in glasses," pretending to interview CIA Director Mike Pompeo with such delicately phrased questions that I was surprised he was not gently cradling his scrotum while asking them.
And this was on MSNBC.
Donald Trump is right about one thing, there is an awful lot of fake news out there.
And it is spreading even to places where we thought we were safe from hearing it.

Donald Trump admits he lied about taping Comey conversation in attempt to "keep him honest."
Courtesy of Salon:.@POTUS on why he wanted former FBI Dir. James Comey to believe there were tapes of their conversations pic.twitter.com/pCuibM5Z6k— FOX & friends (@foxandfriends) June 23, 2017
“When he found out that there may be tapes out there — whether it’s governmental tapes or anything else, and who knows — I think his story may have changed,” Trump said. “You’ll have to take a look at that because then he has to tell what actually took place at the events. And my story didn’t change — my story was always a straight story, my story always was the truth. But you’ll have to determine for yourself whether or not his story changed, but I did not tape.”
The president acknowledged on Thursday that he was not in possession of any recordings of his former FBI director. But Trump’s reasoning for saying that he did remained a mystery — until Friday, of course, when Fox News aired his interview, in which he conceded that he wanted to keep Comey honest.
Trump’s confession was especially bizarre considering part of it directly contradicted his own past statements. Trump suggested in his interview with Earhardt that his strategy worked because Comey did not change his story. Earlier this month, Trump accused Comey of lying under oath to Congress.
How does Trump think he kept Comey honest when he wrote down their exchanges immediately after they happened and then simply shared that information with the Senate Intelligence Committee?
The only thing that Trump did with these lies about tapes, is to ensure that there would be a Special Counsel appointed.
So is that what he calls "winning?"
Because it sure feels like winning from my perspective.

Fox News actually asked Dakota Meyer for his advice in responding to the terrorist bomb attack in Manchester.
Courtesy of the Washington Examiner:
The 28-year-old veteran said it was only a matter of time until a concert terror attack — like the one that killed 22 in Manchester, England, on Monday — hits American shores.
“I’ve been saying this is going to happen for a long time,” Sgt. Meyersaid. “When is it coming here? I think the only way you get this point across is when you release the gates of hell on them and we start making war so ugly that […] it’s not cool to join ISIS anymore. […] You can guarantee [Mr. Trump is] going to do whatever it’s going to take, no matter if it’s the most popular thing in the court of public opinion. He’s going to do what’s right to protect America.”
When I first read that Meyer wanted to "release the gates of hell" I thought perhaps he meant to send the Palin family over there and tell them it was a birthday party with free booze.
Because you know THAT can get really ugly.
But then I realized that he was suggesting the idea of sending more American troops overseas, to murder more Muslims, and give the terrorists even more justification for what they are doing.
Just a reminder that the terrorists are not attacking the West because they are jealous of our freedoms, they are attacking the West because they are angry that we have been killing their people for decades.
And under the Trump Administration the civilian death count has dramatically increased.
So I guess Meyer is right about one thing, yes they are most certainly coming here.

Dakota Meyer appears on Fox to breathlessly celebrate the dropping of MOAB in Afghanistan.
Courtesy of Fox News Insider:.@Dakota_Meyer: 'Mother of All Bombs' Drop a Win for 'America's Team'https://t.co/97g3CqfzBk— Fox News (@FoxNews) April 15, 2017
Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer reacted to criticism of the United States military dropping the "mother of all bombs" [MOAB] this week.
Meyer called the action, approved by President Trump, a direct reflection of White House leadership.
He said that after eight years, we have president who allows the military operators on-the-ground to make their own decisions, instead of through political gamesmanship in Washington.
Yes who needs all of that "political gamesmanship" like careful planning and diplomacy, when you can just drop giant bombs on the problem?
If you click the link you can enjoy for yourself the raping of the English language by Meyers and be reminded yet again that there is no IQ test to marry into the Palin family.
For example here is just one of Dakota's attempts to answer a simple question:
"Well I mean look the mindset of these terrorists, I mean look there's only one solution to them as a problem, and that is exactly more of this happening. But..uh..you know for the US military I mean I think that if you take a year ago we had a Commander-in-Chief that would let you get captured by Iran and not do any repercussions. I mean what do you think the mindset is there? Versus now we've got a commander-in-chief who saying 'Hey, run your military like you need to and do whatever it takes to get rid of the enemy.'"
Yes damn that President Obama for not getting us into a war with Iran. Just what was he thinking?
Of course the problem with allowing the military to run amuck without civilian oversight is that a hammer sees every problem as a nail.
Left to their own devices the military will create far more enemies than they will kill, and soon Afghanistan will reignite into a full blown war devouring the lives of thousands of additional American soldiers.
President Obama was working to end our conflicts in the Middle East, whereas Trump, despite his campaign rhetoric, appears to see dropping bombs in the area as a means to improve his poll numbers.
I have a really bad feeling about all of this.

Dakota Meyer appears on Fox and Friends to babble incoherently about Susan Rice.
Jesus, it's like watching an infant trying to say words for the first time.
The very idea that the guy who married into the Palin clan would have the audacity to call ANYBODY ELSE a liar is so ironic that it makes my teeth hurt.
Then he goes on to defend what Trump did in Syria as moral, and claims that nothing President Obama did was moral?
Well at that point there is really nothing more to say except that he is now officially a Palin.
I would also add that he is clearly preparing to run for office.
I am not sure which political position he is angling for, but that is certainly the plan.

Donald Trump goes after Hillary Clinton and John Podesta while tripling down on the claim that he was spied on by the Obama Administration.
When you are desperately citing Fox and Friends as your information source, you should realize that you have lost the argument.Such amazing reporting on unmasking and the crooked scheme against us by @foxandfriends. "Spied on before nomination." The real story.— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 3, 2017
Wait, what? Was the brother of John Podesta paid big money to get the sanctions on Russia lifted? Did Hillary know?— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 3, 2017
Okay first off that was for a town hall, and how is any of that even relevant to what is happening today?Did Hillary Clinton ever apologize for receiving the answers to the debate? Just asking!— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 3, 2017
Also untrue..@FoxNews from multiple sources: "There was electronic surveillance of Trump, and people close to Trump. This is unprecedented." @FBI— Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) April 3, 2017
Clearly Trump is losing his mind over this investigation into possible collusion with Russia, and is throwing everything that he can think of out there to distract and obfuscate.
He is like a toddler who gets caught smearing feces on the wall and quickly points out that he saw the dog pee in the hallway last week.
