A video of the woman’s loud protest was posted to YouTube. The woman was not named but appears to have her family in tow.
“Attention Target customers,” she yelled. “Do not be deceived, Target would have you believe with their Mother’s Day displays that they love mothers and children. This is a deception. This is not love, and they’ve proven it by opening their bathrooms to perverted men. I’m a mother of 12 and I’m very disgusted by this wicked practice.”
“Mothers get your children out of this store,” the woman yelled. “Mothers have enough decency to get out of this store, it’s a dangerous place… What Target has done is very hateful. It’s hateful towards families. It’s hateful towards mothers. It’s hateful towards children… Are you gonna let the devil rape your children?”
Well she seems nice.
And just think she actually gave birth to twelve little children who will one day undoubtedly be just as ignorant and superstitious as she is.
Religion, it's one hell of a drug.
Morality is not determined by the church you attend nor the faith you embrace. It is determined by the quality of your character and the positive impact you have on those you meet along your journey

Facebook user creates fake account so that he can troll people outraged at Target over new gender neutral policies.
Courtesy of Today:
Earlier this week, Facebook user Mike Melgaard decided to pose as the customer-service branch of Target. Seemingly, it wasn't hard to do. All it took was simply creating the Facebook alias, "AskForHelp," which sported the Target logo as a profile pic. He went on a tear, responding to complaints about the Minneapolis-based retailer's decision to remove "gender-based signage." These dissatisfied customers apparently want to find "girl" toys in one aisle, and "boy" toys in another.
Okay I am not usually an advocate of trolling, these examples are pretty damn funny.
As you can imagine this did not go over very well with some Facebook users, and Target made sure to let people know that he was not an actual representative.
However there were signs that they were secretly pleased that somebody was taking these idiots to task.
Gotta love it.

Sarah Palin and Franklin Graham are all pissy that Target is not going to tell you which toys are for girls and which one are for boys.

If you are the parent of a girl you also might have been offended by the fact that the girl's toy aisle is all pink and full of dolls and stuffed animals while the boy's toy aisle is full of awesome Lego sets, remote control trucks, and action figures.I know I was.
Well apparently there are some people who are terrified that taking down signs pointing out where the boy's toys and girl's toys are located in Target will lead to a breakdown in society and rampant homosexuality.
And who would be so ignorant? Why Franklin Graham of course:
And as you know if Franklin Graham is going to get his righteous panties in a bunch over something, that means Sarah Palin totally has to throw her crusty panties in a wad right beside them.
Holy shitballs kids, sure God made the two genders with handy dandy "don't need no fucking science" hocus pocus, but there is no earthly WAY to tell them apart if Target does not label the bedding aisles now is there?
Thanks to Target the entire country will be filled with little boys falling asleep on Barbie bedsheets, and little girls having tea parties with GI Joe's and Ninja Turtle action figures.
And you know what that leads to don't you?
No seriously do you have any idea what that leads to, because I am at a loss.
Less misogyny maybe?
Boys playing with stuffed animals? (They already do, or haven't you seen Ted 2?)
Less frustration for kids not being allowed to shop in the cool toy aisle?
Am I getting warmer?
Look in all seriousness I worked with young kids for most of my life. Their sexuality is in no way tied to the kinds of toys they play with, or which color they prefer. (Plenty of little girls fucking hate pink, but fucking love little boys.)
Little boys playing with dolls, just means they are boys who play with dolls. And little girls who play with Matchbox cars are not necessarily destined to become grease monkeys who love the poonanny.
Personally I applaud Target for moving forward with the times. And they should remember that any decision they make which causes Franklin Graham and Sarah Palin to lose their shit, is undoubtedly the right decision.
After all, that's my criteria for decision making.

Just a petition to have the Bible removed from all Target stores. Here let me get a pen.
Courtesy of Change.org:
It's a book that encourages readers to murder women for entertainment. The incentive is to commit sexual violence against women, then abuse or kill them to proceed or get 'god' points – and now Target are stocking it and promoting it for your Xmas stocking.
This is The Holy Bible. This book means that after various sex acts, readers are given options to kill women by stoning her unconscious, Setting them on fire, cutting off their hands, and killing their children!
One of many fan passages on In The Holy Bible depicts woman being set alight for having sex "And the daughter of any priest, if she profane herself by playing the whore, she profaneth her father: she shall be burnt with fire." (Leviticus 21:9).
This misogynistic book literally makes a game of bashing, killing and horrific violence against women. It also links sexual arousal and violence.
Just knowing that women are being portrayed as deserving to be sexually used by men and potentially murdered for sport and pleasure – to see this violence turned into a form of entertainments is sickening and causes us great pain and harm.
This book spreads the idea that certain women exist as scapegoats for male violence. It shows hatred and contempt for women in the sex industry and puts them at greater risk. Women in the industry are 40 times more likely to be murdered by a man than any other group of women.
Books like this are grooming yet another generation of boys to tolerate violence against women. It is fueling the epidemic of violence experienced by so many girls and women in Australia - and globally.
Target, you pride yourself on being a family company, caring for local communities, and have a strong ethical sourcing policy. How can you do this while contributing to hostile and callous attitudes toward victims of violence and, more broadly, to all women?
Please put ethics before profits and make a strong statement that you do not condone sexual violence, sexual exploitation or the abuse of women as ‘entertainment’.
Well it's hard to argue against all that now isn't it?
It is hard to imagine that Target would comply with this request, but it is worth noting that the petition is only 134 signatures shy of reaching its goal of 25,000 as I write this.
So that tells us something.
And I do so enjoy tilting at windmills sometimes.

Target issues statement respectfully requesting that Ammosexuals leave their weapons at home.
Courtesy of A Bullseye View:
The leadership team has been weighing a complex issue, and I want to be sure everyone understands our thoughts and ultimate decision.
As you’ve likely seen in the media, there has been a debate about whether guests in communities that permit “open carry” should be allowed to bring firearms into Target stores. Our approach has always been to follow local laws, and of course, we will continue to do so. But starting today we will also respectfully request that guests not bring firearms to Target – even in communities where it is permitted by law.
We’ve listened carefully to the nuances of this debate and respect the protected rights of everyone involved. In return, we are asking for help in fulfilling our goal to create an atmosphere that is safe and inviting for our guests and team members.
This is a complicated issue, but it boils down to a simple belief: Bringing firearms to Target creates an environment that is at odds with the family-friendly shopping and work experience we strive to create.
So now following in the footsteps of the Sonic and Chipotle restaurants Target is forced to make a request that they should never have had to formerly make.
Reasonable Americans would never have put any of these businesses in the position of having to ask them to do something that seems perfectly obvious to the majority of us.
I cannot quite wrap my mind around what the Open Carry protesters hoped to accomplish, but there is very little doubt that what they have accomplished is not helping their cause in the slightest.

Do you know where it is probably NOT a safe place to provide a gun safety class? In the parking lot of your local Target.
Did this guy actually feel it necessary to point out to a bunch of folks carrying long guns and assault style rifles where the muzzle is located? And then call it "the dangerous end" as if he were talking to preschoolers?
This Open Carry Texas group recorded and posted this video, I'm sure, to help put people's minds at ease about their activities. But it actually had the opposite effect on me.
At one point the guy conducting the instruction says "Keep your hands away from the trigger mechanism. We have no reason to be shooting at anybody today." As if that is something that individuals openly carrying weapons designed for warfare must be reminded of.
If this is the level of confidence these organizers have in the people participating in their silly little protests, that just convinces me even more that somebody, somewhere. is going to get shot by one of these ammosexual idiots.
(H/T to Americans Against the Tea Party.)

Hand gun found in toy aisle at Target. Really just a matter of time wasn't it? Update!
![]() |
| Open Carry advocates buying cookies at Target. |
A real gun was found in the toy aisle of Target on Seaboard Street. The police report states a loss prevention worker stumbled upon the gun Friday night.
The gun was in plain view on top of a superhero Playskool toy box when the worker found it; he thought it was a toy. He realized it was real after seeing it was loaded with live ammo.
The fact that it was found in an aisle geared toward children makes some shoppers feel this was no accident.
"I don't think someone would accidentally drop off a gun. I think he purposely left it there for a child to pick up and think, 'Oh it's a toy gun,' and accidentally point it at somebody and it goes off," says Kennedy McClain.
Yeah or maybe it was just some dumbshit who treats real guns as if they are toys and carelessly left it behind after removing it to get to the phone in his pocket.
After all if you have guys wandering up and down the aisles staggering under the weight of all their uber manly guns and rifles, eventually some of them are bound to get left behind.
After all this is the new normal.
That is, unless we start doing something to change it.
Update: Apparently when it comes to guns and accidents, Target is the place to be.
This from NBCDFW:
An employee at a North Texas Target accidentally shot himself in the hand with a gun dropped by a customer on Wednesday afternoon, police say.
Hurst Police Assistant Chief Steve Niekamp said a shopper with a concealed handgun license brought the .22 caliber revolver into the store at 1400 Precinct Line Road. As he was leaving, the small gun fell out of his pocket without his knowledge.
A store employee who found the gun thought it was a lighter and tested the trigger, shooting himself in the hand, Niekamp said.
I am guessing that working at Target does not require an IQ test of any kind.
Well at least in both of these instances there were no children injured.
This time.

Just in at Target. Open Carry assholes, aisle six.
Courtesy of Mother Jones:
Executives at Target probably never thought much about their red-and-white bull's-eye logo becoming so fraught, but the mammoth discount retailer now faces the challenge of being the latest corporation pulled into the fight over open-carry gun rights. On Wednesday, the social-media-savvy Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense in America began sharing images of men carrying semi-automatic rifles inside Target stores, including in Texas, where the group Open Carry Texas held a recent demonstration to point up the right under state law to display such guns in public.
Over the last few months Moms Demand Action has pressured more than a half-dozen corporate food and beverage chains into rejecting the open carrying of firearms at their locations, including Starbucks, Chipotle, and Jack in the Box, and most recently Sonic and Chili's. Large retailers have become the latest front in the battle, including Home Depot last weekend, and now Target.
In March, Open Carry Texas posted images to Facebook of its armed members inside a Dallas-Fort Worth area store, noting that "Target is very 2A friendly."
And just in case you thought these were reasonable people who just liked to go shopping with their inferiorities on open display, here are some of their responses on Facebook:
"We like baby toys!" one open carry supporter chimed in on Facebook.
"Hell, yeah," said another.
"Hey Mom's Demand Action! Suck on this!" said another.
Oh yeah that's the stuff.
Keep it up boys you are making a difference, and changing minds. Trust me.
