Despite her reputation as a political tease there are still a number of news outlets ready to take Sarah Palin seriously about a 2016 run. Update!

Courtesy of Bloomberg.
Courtesy of The Washington Post:

Former Alaska governor Sarah Palin told The Washington Post in an interview Friday that she is “seriously interested” in running for the White House in 2016.

“You can absolutely say that I am seriously interested,” Palin said, when asked to clarify her thinking about a possible presidential bid.

Palin, the GOP’s 2008 vice-presidential nominee, said she stood by comments she made Thursday in Las Vegas to ABC News, where she first expressed enthusiasm about potentially competing for the Republican presidential nomination.

“I am. As I said yesterday, I’m really interested in the opportunity to serve at some point,” Palin said Friday, as former Pennsylvania senator Rick Santorum, a potential 2016 rival, looked on.

Palin’s comments, made in an interview in the lobby of the Marriott hotel here, came hours before she is scheduled to address a group of conservative activists at the Iowa Freedom Summit, a gathering hosted by Rep. Steve King (R-Iowa), an immigration hard-liner.

The Washington Post is by no means the only outlet that thinks Palin is actually going to tear off her crusty panties and deliver the goods.

Politico, ABC News, The Christian Science Monitor, as well as others are also rising to the bait.

It's kind of sad that these idiots still think that Palin is serious about an actual presidential campaign. It reminds me of that schmo who starts to believe that the scantily clad, heavily glittered, stripper that he paid to undulate on his lap is actually falling in love with him.

She isn't.

I actually do understand why this excites some in the news business. With the 2016 lineup appearing to feature candidates who have already run, and who are well known to the American public, the idea of a new face to report on, especially one so constantly controversial, cannot help but seem exciting.

However it is also interesting that during the same weekend that so many news outlets are rubbing themselves raw at the prospect of a Palin presidential bid that the other big news about her concerns this picture.

As it turns out TPM, Crooks and Liars, The Inquisitr, and even Fox News Radio are far more interested in this story over the typical Palin political prick tease.

Of course for all of us who have been paying close attention there is no mystery as to why Palin is suddenly spinning her tassels in everybody's face.

All you have to do is check out her recent SarahPAC filings.

The most recent one only covers the period between November 25 to December 31 but it is enough to tell the tale of a political PAC in desperation.

The PAC only took in $56,633.93 during that time period, which is much lower than in times past, and they spent $118,693.20. Which follows the same pattern we have been following for over a year now. (Update: Did anybody else notice that she paid over $2,000 for Christmas cards?)

Simply put Palin is running out of money, and unless she does something drastic she may actually be forced to get a real job in order to support herself, and her lazy good for nothing family.

And nothing frightens her more than that.

For some reason that political pole dancer Sarah Palin is grinding up against Louisiana's Rob Maness again.

So that ad appeared on Palin's Facebook page again followed by this:

Here's a man of true grit and a servant's heart who knows full well when road kill needs to go. Our government must have the values we see in Col. Rob Maness to function properly. I hope Louisianans will send him to Washington because he’s the real deal – heck he fixes his own truck and he’ll do the same in Washington to fix the broken machine there!

Palin then links to an article over at Real Clear Politics, which quotes her as saying:

“Like a gator in the swamp, Col. Rob Maness may have been seen as sharply lurking, but is now ready to pounce,” Palin said in the statement. “It is time. This is the election that will be the shocker on Tuesday.”

What?

The Real Clear Politics article then goes on to say this:

According to the latest RealClearPolitics average of polls, Maness (9 percent) is trailing far behind Landrieu (38 percent) and Cassidy (33.8 percent) in Louisiana’s “jungle primary” system, in which all candidates appear on the same general election ballot, regardless of party.

If no candidate receives 50 percent of the vote on Tuesday -- a scenario that appears likely -- the top two finishers will square off in a Dec. 6 runoff.

So once again, to be clear, Maness has NO shot at winning this election in November, or in being one of the two candidates who will  face off again in December.

So as I have mentioned before I simply do not get WHY Palin is so hell bent on promoting this guy well past his sell by date. She has promoted plenty of other candidates, but never it seems with this much aggression, especially when he has virtually NO chance of winning.

Which begs the question, what's in it for her?

And to be honest her fawning is getting kind of ludicrous.  If she were a household dog, she would be humping this guy's leg 24/7.

Even for a Palin, that is pretty pathetic.

Sarah Palin makes another appearance on Fox, this time she says the "haters out there" only make her want to "bug the crap out of them." Also hints at another possible run for office.

Courtesy of the You Tube page:

Sarah Palin stopped by Stuart Varney’s Fox Business Network show Tuesday afternoon to share her thoughts on a variety of topics, including recent comments about her family by CNN anchor Carol Costello.

“The hatred level directed against you is extraordinary and a disgrace,” Varney said at the top of his interview with Palin. “Has it driven you out of politics, driven you away from public office for good?”

“No, bless their hearts, those haters out there,” Palin replied, saying the comments only “invigorate” her to keep doing whatever it is she does. "

“It invigorates me it wants me to get out there and defend the innocent," she said. "It makes me want to work so hard for justice in this country. So, hey, the more they are pouring on, the more I’m going to bug the crap out of them by being out there with the voice, with the message, hopefully running for office in the future too.”

“What’s it like dealing with that kind of mockery — and that’s what it is, mockery — for more than six years?” Varney asked Palin, turning specifically to Costello’s commentary. “And this is a personal question, what does it feel like?”

Rather than take the opportunity to attack Costello directly, Palin demurred, saying she knows “a lot of people have it a heck of a lot harder than the Palins do.” But, she added, liberals love to play “the politics and personal destruction.”

“They do want to destroy personally those they disagree with,” she continued. “They are very, very intolerant of those who maybe hold opposing views to their liberal, failed agenda views. So they want to crush us.”

When Varney posited to Palin that the “war on women” is really more of a “war on you,” the former governor agreed wholeheartedly, saying, “Absolutely.”

You will notice that Varney did not once ask Palin any questions about the brawl, or why her entire family were so publicly inebriated.

And comparing the challenges that her family faces in keeping the truth hidden from public scrutiny to the challenges of a family with a military member fighting overseas, is one of the lowest things she has ever done.

As for all of that talk about wanting to "defend the innocent" and "fight for justice," who does she think she is kidding? I know a certain innocent Anchorage homeowner who could use a little justice right about now.

And I simply cannot believe, after all of this time, that anybody would take her political prick teasing seriously.

No folks she is NEVER running for office again. EVER!

So yes, her so called "haters," or as we call ourselves "truth tellers," HAVE indeed driven her out of politics.

Oh and by the way, there is still more truth to tell.

Just a freely available video of Sarah Palin providing an up close and personal interaction with her subscribers.

Okay so there are a lot of Sarah Palin Channel videos available on this You Tube site. And I spent a little time looking through some of them, and came away completely unimpressed.

I think perhaps the best for comedic value is the one I posted yesterday.

The rest are essentially the same old shit that we have all seen before.

However there was one from a few days ago that seemed to be an attempt by Palin to get a little more intimate with her subscribers by responding to some of their comments and providing a look behind the scenes. Among other things.

Here take a look for yourself.

Now you do not need to watch very long to notice that Palin has placed the camera off to her left side instead of focused directly in front of her as it has been in the past. This provides an almost over the shoulder view that allows the subscriber to see what Palin is looking at on her computer screen while she is talking.

But it also provides another view. And this view is directed by a microphone that Palin has attached inside her carelessly buttoned shirt, which gaps open every few minutes as she moves.

Now any of us that know Sarah Palin have to realize that this is no accident.

After all this is the woman who once wore a push up bra during a Wasilla Assembly meeting so that she could "get what I want tonight."

This coquettish flirting is all part of the Sarah Palin brand, and even at age 50 it is the only thing she knows how to do to compensate for her ignorance and lack of education.

I also noticed that Palin is quite heavily made up and looks to have made sure that there was nothing revealed from this angle that might suggest her age, or any flaws. In fact she routinely thrusts out her un-enhanced chest in order to ensure that the focus remains where she wants it.

The video also contains some silly banter about past Facebook posts, and her subscribers, all done in that sing songy baby talk voice of hers. But there is really nothing of any value said, which is understandable as the point of this video is obvious from the moment her shirt gaps open for the first time.

Oh, and by the way, there is also no wedding ring on her left hand, nor any tan line to suggest that she ever wears it anymore. Just something that caught my eye.

P.S. If you want to have a real chuckle just visit the YouTube account and scroll through the comments. Clearly somebody is falling down on the job.

The lawyer behind the latest Supreme Court decision to undermine our campaign finance laws has another cause, convincing Sarah Palin to make a run for Senate.

Courtesy of Mother Jones:

When the Supreme Court recently demolished yet another chunk of the nation's campaign finance laws, Dan Backer arguably cheered louder than anyone. It was Backer, a Washington, DC-area attorney active in conservative politics, who had convinced an Alabama businessman named Shaun McCutcheon to challenge the government's limit on the number of candidates, party committees, and political action committees an individual can contribute to in a single election cycle. (The basic limits on how much money that donor can give to each candidate, party, or PAC remain intact.) Backer, who represented McCutcheon, responded to the news of the Supreme Court's decision by tweeting (in apparent reference to William Wallace in Braveheart): "FREEEEDOMMMMM!!!!"

Backer's victory is shining some light on another high-profile cause of his: Convincing Sarah Palin to run for US Senate.

In an email headlined "Palin for Senate" recently blasted out by a PAC called the Tea Party Leadership Fund, Backer writes, "Sarah's the proven leader we need." He goes on, "She has a better grasp on world politics, and she knows what it means to cherish and protect our American freedoms far better than THE MAN WHO IS SUPPOSED TO BE LEADING THE FREE WORLD." Backer slams incumbent Sen. Mark Begich (D-Alaska) for spending "too much time in Washington, DC, begging the Obama administration for favors rather than representing the good people of Alaska." Palin supporters need to act quick, Backer warns: The window for her to get into the race "has almost closed." And so Backer asks recipients to sign a petition and gather enough signatures to "to push Sarah Palin over the top in a critical run for Alaska's Senate seat in 2014."

In an interview, Backer said almost 100,000 people had signed the Palin for Senate petition. If Palin did enter the race,he said the Tea Party Leadership PAC would bolster her candidacy with direct mail and radio ads. "Nobody's going to be a greater agent for change than Sarah Palin from Alaska," Backer told me. "She will bring something to the race and she will disrupt the Senate. And disruption is good."

I guess this guy did not think he had done enough damage to the country through this Supreme Court decision, and has now decided to release the Kraken.

The problem with that plan is that she has no intention of running, and I doubt that anything this guy could say or do would convince her otherwise.

However let me just say that if her few remaining supporters are aware of his aggressive promotion of her candidacy, and she does not take the bait, that it will be MUCH harder for her to trick them into giving money to SarahPAC.

Even the horniest guys in the strip club will lose their chubby once the dancer loses her grip on the pole and tumbles into the audience. And essentially that is what is happening to Palin, albeit in slow motion.

The SarahPAC filings are in and Palin's political pole dancing continues to underwhelm her once fanatical supporters.

So this is living vibrantly.
Courtesy of Roll Call:

A former Republican Party Vice Presidential nominee has used her political action committee to cover more than $700,000 in expenses for her continuing activities.

Sarah PAC, the political action committee of former 2008 Republican Party nominee for Vice President Sarah Palin, reported it had receipts of $717,264 and disbursements of $713,551 during the last six months of 2013.

The PAC had $1,117,684 cash on hand at the end of the year. The PAC spent $242,673 on direct mail and postage; $101,500 on consultants; $69,000 on consultants for fundraising and compliance; $35,750 on research; $26,000 on speechwriting; and $9,909 on Harper Collins books for donors; among other expenditures. The report stated the PAC “did no advocacy.”

The PAC gave $5,000 on 10/8 to Lonegan for Senate in the New Jersey Senate special election. (The PAC also donated donated $5,000 to Rep. Jason Smith.)

On the plus side this is a slight improvement over her last filing which showed that SarahPAC actually brought in less($460,537) than they spent ($496,505).

Hard to get too excited however over a PAC that barely breaks even.

And can you believe that Palin made the PAC  buy almost $10,000 worth of her crappy book? I think that just about accounts for about a third of the books that were sold.

It is also worth noting that Palin continues to eat away at her reserves. As of this filing she has $1,117,684 on hand while at the end of her last filing she had $1,113971.25 available.

At that rate she will be back to giving handjobs at the Mugshot Saloon for drinks and cocaine before you know it.

The author of "Bush's Brain" explains Sarah Palin to the ignorant masses. He essentially does my job for me, and does it quite well.

Sarah Palin with her "Notice me, listen to me, give me money" fake breastesess.
Courtesy of CNN:

Sarah is selling Sarah. The former vice presidential candidate and half-term governor of Alaska is a commodity of one and a marketing machine. She has created a new politics of profit.

Palin's reanimation on the tea party stage probably means no more than the other intentions she has floated but never executed. She spent almost a year of the last presidential election cycle teasing the far right that she was going to run for president. She never did, but lots of network TV interviews and speculative articles drove up her name recognition and brand identification.

And she's not running again.

Palin is re-running the same show in her home state of Alaska by hinting that she is going to be a candidate for the U.S. Senate. She will not run though. There is too much risk of failure. She's not the near-unknown who was elected governor of Alaska and then quit 2½ years into the job. She has a profile, and she intends to use it to make money, which is one commitment she knows how to keep. Running and losing is always bad for business.

Palin is a product. Not a candidate.

Politically, Sarah Palin is an opposite gender version of Donald Trump. She makes grandiloquent statements about candidacies and a future that she knows will never transpire. Trump and Palin lack the courage to run for president but have profitably monetized the speculation about a candidacy. Trump cannot abide the notion of losing, which he knows is inevitable, and he fears what that might do to his image and revenue stream. Palin is self-aware enough to realize that she has neither the intellect nor popular support outside the increasingly unpopular tea party.

So why not make a buck?

Precisely!

Okay well this will in no way comes as new information to any of you who have spent even a minimum amount of time on this blog. However to others it may come as a revelation. And to certain Palin supporters (I think there a half dozen or so left.) it will be tantamount to blasphemy.

P.S. There is more Palin bashing goodness in the article over at the CNN link.

Final thought of the day.

Found on Reddit
All props go to Lawrence O'Donnell for this awesome and accurate quote.

Wednesday, August 07, 2013

After suffering one of the worst fundraising periods ever, Sarah Palin decides to start kissing up to her few remaining supporters.

"Hey y'all, still love me? Then prove it by sending a check."
This was posted over at the Sea O'Pea this morning:

I want to thank all of you who have donated your time, hard-earned money, and efforts to support SarahPAC. We have accomplished an incredible amount together over the last two election cycles, and we somehow did it without the help of the "wise" sages from Washington’s permanent political class. In fact, we bucked them every step of the way and achieved incredible tangible results. (Yep with your help the Teabaggers have all but broken the Republican party. Way to go!)

Your support has given us a platform to articulate a commonsense conservative message to counter those who only go along to get along with an invasive and corrupt big government. (In other words "Those who want to actually do the job that their constituents sent them to Washington to do.") And most important, your donations have allowed us to highlight, support, and elect great conservatives (By "elect great conservatives" does she mean Jason Smith of Missouri, who was the ONLY candidate to receive financial support from SarahPAC this time around?) who are leading the charge daily to save our country. (And by "save" she means "flush it down the toilet.")

Together, we’ve achieved many victories, and I look forward to even more in next year’s elections, as we will continue to hold both parties accountable.

Thank you again for your continued support, (Please don't stop sending me money!) and don’t let the critics or the media get you down when they try to intimidate (inform) you. They wouldn’t be making such a fuss about SarahPAC supporters if they weren’t aware of how much you have accomplished and how important your support is to changing D.C. (Oh yeah, without that $5000 to Jason Smith, Washington would be a MUCH different place.)

Just remember – if we weren’t making great strides in breaking up their mighty establishment, they wouldn’t waste time attacking us. (Well I had a few minutes, so I thought why not?)

With an Alaskan heart,

That was followed by her signature via autopen.

A couple of things.

First I think this is one of the VERY rare times that Palin personally had a message ghostwritten for her to encourage the paint chip eaters to keep sending her money. You can essentially smell the desperation emanating from this missive, which makes sense now that Palin is wasting more money than SarahPAC is bringing in.)

Second it should be noted that this plea for money comes on the heels of a money bomb set up by the P-tards just a few days ago, which only serves to underline just how desperate Snowdrift Snooki is to keep the morons stuffing cash into her virtual g-string.

And finally I think she needs to do away with that "Alaskan heart" bullshit.

We now know for a fact that if this idiot has a heart, and the jury is still out on that, it is an Arizonian heart, NOT an Alaskan heart.

Try signing off with THAT next time Cactus Annie.  See how much spare change you attract then.

Steve Schmidt once again reiterates what everybody should already know about Sarah Palin. That she's a fraud.

"No we can't stop fro another skinny white mocha. You've had six already and your eyes are starting to vibrate."
Schmidt was interviewed by the New York Times about many wide ranging issues, including this one:

NYT: I know you’re sick of Sarah Palin questions. Nonetheless: Do you think it would be a good thing if she ran for U.S. Senate in 2014?

Schmidt: I’ll answer it this way. I don’t think that she’s going to be a candidate for the U.S. Senate. She has a great ability to keep speculation around her swirling, but I think that it’s pretty clear watching her over the last couple of years, there’s not much interest in either substantive policy issues or actual governance.

Well it looks like once again SOMEBODY is not getting that invite to celebrate Christmas in Wasilla.

It's one thing for me to constantly assert that Palin has no political future and is only miking the dipshits who still believe in her, but it is always nice to have back up.

And let's face it Schmidt knows of whereof he speaks.

SarahPAC contributors don't care how Palin spends their money. What a coincidence, she doesn't care how she spends it either!

"Give me your tired, your wretched masses yearning to be free, but keep the poor, they have no donations to give. So screw them"
Courtesy of The Daily Beast:

Over the first half of 2013, SarahPAC took in $460,000, but spent more than $495,000. Despite its stated purpose of supporting like-minded candidates, it donated to only one—giving $5,000 to Jason Smith, a conservative Republican backed by the NRA and pro-life groups who won a special election in Missouri’s Eighth Congressional District in June by a margin of 67–27.

In contrast, the group spent almost $484,000 on fundraising, research, speechwriting, and high-end travel. This is a comedown from the 2012 cycle, when SarahPAC raised eyebrows for spending more than $4.8 million on consultants while doling out $298,500 to candidates.

The people funding Sarah Palin’s lifestyle and entourage were primarily small donors. Keep in mind that the Federal Election Commission requires only that campaigns and political groups report the names of those who give more than $200 in what are known as itemized donations. Small donors, of less than $200, are grouped together in un-itemized donations. Over 75 percent of SarahPAC’s donations—$341,556 out of a total of $446,880—were un-itemized. And the solicitations for small donors helped line the pockets of the consultants in charge of the effort. In fact, SarahPAC’s biggest operating expenditure was spending $87,148 on direct-mail firm HSP Direct, on fundraising.

The Daily Beast reached out to a number of SarahPAC contributors to ask how they felt about their hard-earned money being spent primarily on consultants. “I trust her judgment and her record,” said Ronald Shuster of Hatboro, Pennsylvania, who gave $2,013 to the group. Sandra Dyberg of Vacaville, California, who gave $201.60 to SarahPAC, said she felt confident in Palin’s hiring decisions. “The consultants that she uses are good consultants,” she said. “I’ve done research on them.” No doubt.

The consultants she uses are "good consultants?" Do they mean these consultants?

The biggest individual beneficiary of Palin’s largesse was SarahPAC’s treasurer, Timothy Crawford, who made $80,500 as consultant for fundraising and compliance. Others who profited off the group include Rebecca Mansour, the aspiring screenwriter behind the website Conservatives4Palin. Her firm, Aries Petra Consulting, made $38,000 for speechwriting. Andrew Davis, a longtime Republican operative and Palin adviser, netted nearly $35,000 for research. SarahPAC also paid Carol Ryan and Marilyn Lane, two women from Wasilla, Alaska, $2,500 a month apiece for “part-time clerical work.”

You know I don't personally HAVE a PAC, yet. But if I did I can assure you that the criteria for how "good" somebody's consulting was would partially determined by how often my remarks were ridiculed on late night comedy shows or fact checked by the dispshits on Fox and Friends.

From what I have seen the only thing "good" about these Palin consultants are that they have not already abandoned her sinking ship of a career fro greener and more lucrative pastures. But once they do, and trust me they will, what will the Palin-bots have to say about them then?

At this point the few remaining SarahPAC donors are akin to the same people who call into televangelist shows and pledge a portion of their paltry retirement benefits to hold a spot for them in heaven. However it is unclear to me as to what benefit, in this life or the next, that these people believe Sarah Palin can achieve on their behalf.

As far as I can tell the benefit is all one direction. They pay, and Palin plays.

However all is not lost for these wretched souls. At least two of them, Dr Donald R Scifres, TTEE and Elizabeth Martin Wiskemann, saw the light and broke away from this suicide cult and have taken back their money and are hopefully now spending it on something that will actually help others or somehow benefit themselves.

Perhaps they could pool their money to start a Palin-bot 12 step recovery program for disenfranchised donors and disappointed horny old goats.

Postage, refunds, and payoffs, oh my. The SarahPAC FEC filings tell the continuing tale of a once prominent political figure's dramatic fall from relevance. Update!

"Maybe if I suck hard I'll get more money."
So I have taken a tour through SarahPAC's most recent FEC filing and have found the story is much the same as it has always been.

We already pointed out yesterday that the PAC took in less than it spent, which is a clear indication that Palin's star has not only fallen but that the crater it left behind is now becoming overgrown with weeds and new foliage.

Many of the expenditures are ones we have seen numerous times in the past:

Direct Mail: Approximately $43,000

Postage: Approximately $74,450

Consulting: Just a hair under $200,000 (Quite a lot of this was for RAM, a substantial chunk for Timothy Crawford, and the rest to Northstar Strategies and Pamela Pryor.)

Speech writing: $31,900. Boy did she get ripped off! (My favorite itemized cost in this section was $400 to a Dave Berg on May 9th. I have to wonder what kind of a contribution is only worth $400?)

Legal fees: Now this was an interesting one because Palin only paid Clapp, Peterson, Tiemessen, Thorsness L, a fee of $1,275 one time in January and then no more. Which makes me wonder if Palin has decided that she no longer needs a law firm on retainer, or if she simply cannot afford one?

Part Time Clerical: $20,000 still to the same two women as always, Marilyn Lane and Carol Ryan, both of Wasilla.

You may remember Marilyn as the Palin friend who helped her go after Wooten:

In her letter, Palin said Adrian and Marilyn Lane, who are friends of Palin's family and who lived in the same subdivision as Wooten, had seen him drink a beer at their house and then drive off in a patrol car "waving with beer in hand."

In their interview with the investigator, Wall, the Lanes said they had seen Wooten come by their house and drink a beer before driving his patrol car during the summer of 2004.

Marilyn Lane said she had seen Wooten drive off in his patrol car with another beer in hand.

Wooten denied the Lanes' allegations, and Wall's investigation ruled that the claims made by the Lanes were unsubstantiated.

Oh yeah, Palin owes this woman from WAY back. (Perhaps this is one of the many payoffs that I have been told about?)

Air fare: Approximately $21,800. Damn does this woman pay for any of her travel?

I know, silly question.

Okay well here was an item that really caught my eye.

Refunds: One for $5,000 to Elizabeth Martin Wiskemann for a contribution she made in 2012, and one for $2,000 to a Dr Donald R Scifres, TTEE. Also a 2012 donation.

Hmm, interesting! It appears that there is a way for at least SOME of the people Palin scammed into thinking she was running in 2012 to get their money back.

I wonder what is stopping the rest from following suit?

There were also two other expenditures that stood out.

One was to Wal-Mart for $271, and earmarked as items for gift bags. And the other is for Todd the Pimp for $325.62, earmarked as "shipping and items for gift bags."

Now the Wal-Mart purchase is on May 14th, which was two days before this Facebook post:

One last blast of Alaska winter today, hopefully? This is what "Grad Blast" means in Alaska! We'll move our graduation b-b-q indoors and watch the mini-blizzard from 'round the fireplace. (Global warming my gluteus maximus.) Congratulations to this year's graduates all across America. Job well done. Now the real job begins.

And the other one to the Toad, is right before Snowdrift Snooki gave this high school speech. And also where she handed out "goodie bags" and taped one dollar to the bottom of every student's chair.

All 27 of them.

Yep that's Palin for you, too cheap to even pay 27 dollars of her own money to make a stupid point.

As I said before this, to me, is clearly the end of the line for Palin. And  as somebody who has waited a long time to see it arrive, I have to admit it is a thing of beauty.

Of course Palin and her few remaining Palin-bots are in complete denial that this is in fact what we are seeing. Here is how treasurer Timothy Crawford explained the low numbers:

SarahPAC treasurer Tim Crawford said in an email to The Associated Press on Wednesday that the PAC, for the most part, gave donors a break and didn't fundraise aggressively during the latest reporting period.

"Very pleased with the results," he said. "It is an off year after a presidential election where every donor was bombarded with requests."

Oh yeah, and if you believe THAT I have a Bridge to Nowhere to sell you at the end of which you will find Palin's pathetic excuse for a future.

Nice try though.

Update: Oh I forgot to mention that SarahPAC only paid out $5000 to Missouri's Jason Smith as their single campaign donation for this filing period. Which essentially undermines ANY idea that this is a true political PAC.

And let's face it, she only did THAT because he was the only political candidate willing to do this:

As Todd says, "What's in it for us?"

Tea Party group tries to draft Sarah Palin to run for the Senate seat from Alaska. Boy somebody is a slow learner aren't they?

Courtesy of US News:

"Do the words 'Senator Sarah Palin' excite you?"

(Should I answer that?)

That's the opening line of a recent email by The Tea Party Leadership Fund, which is trying to draft the former Alaska governor and past Fox News commentator to run for the Senate in 2014. The fund argues Palin has a clear path to victory in part due to recent polling showing incumbent Sen. Mark Begich, a Democrat, with less than 50 percent of the vote.

But, it being a draft, the group hasn't talked with Palin about whether or not she's interested. And Palin – whose PAC didn't respond to request for comment from Whispers – is believed to be currently residing in Arizona, not Alaska. The fund's Niger Innis says the interest of Tea Party members in a Palin run, however, is clear.

"We didn't know that [the draft] was going to catch fire to the degree that it has. And what that tells us is that this is just the beginning," he says. "It's gone viral."

But not all Tea Party groups are enthused about drafting Palin without first gauging her interest.

"I absolutely love her and I think she's a breath of fresh air," Amy Kremer, head of Tea Party Express, tells Whispers. "But until she says that she's going to put her name in... we're not going to go out there and advocate for her to get in the race."

You know you would think that after Sarah Palin strung these poor dipshits along for almost four years they would finally come to realize that she does NOT want a job in politics.

She wants to be given money for doing as little as possible, NOT have to work for a living!

So they can draft away to their heart's content, but Palin will do NOTHING but shake her flabby money maker at them until their credit cards are maxed out and then suddenly decide that she has too many "family responsibilities" to return to politics now.

But I know ONE person who would be thrilled to see Palin make a run for the Senate seat, and that's Mark Begich. Right now our lone Democratic Senator's poll numbers are in the shitter, but run Palin against him and suddenly we are talking landslide.

Just a friendly note to the Teabaggers, Alaskans flat out HATE Sarah Palin! So if you really think that recruiting her will mean one more GOP vote in the Senate, then YOU, my paint chip eating friends, have not been paying attention, now have you?

Sarah Palin does her best Dolly Parton impression while telling the audience to keep "birthing those babies." Update!

"I knew those extra snowmachine helmets of Todd's would come in handy."
There is not a lot of information about what Palin actually said because, here's a schocker, it was closed to the press. However that did not stop one intrepid citizen reporter from making the following assumptions:

Former Alaska Governor Sarah Palin last night brought down the house at a Shareholders in Life fund-raiser held in Las Vegas. The event was closed to the press, so details on her speech are sparse, however, we have every reason to believe this was a very significant speech. We can point to some of her other significant pro-life speeches as guides to what she most likely said last night.

Yes based on speeches she has given in the past, which have been widely ridiculed, let's assume that last night's speech, given to an audience that I understand was somewhat sparse, was "significant."

I think the ONLY thing that is significant is that this crazy person believes that the bigger she makes her chest the more money people will throw at her.

I used to call her a political prick tease to insult her, NOT to inspire her.

There is a little more about last night, but not muhc more, to be found here.

(By the way I must clarify that while I compared Palin to Dolly Parton in the headline, that I am well aware that Parton is a very talented singer-songwriter-actor, who actually HAD giant breasteses, and that Sarah Palin is a tragically untalented woman with fake glasses, fake hair, and fake boobies.)

Update: Here is a short portion of her speech.

Sing-songy voice, evangelical verbiage, and over inflated chest. what more does a failed politician cum anti-choice firebrand really need?

Lawrence O'Donnell takes a much deserved victory lap at the news that Fox News has kicked Sarah Palin to the curb. After all Lawrence was NEVER fooled by Sarah Palin. Never!

Visit NBCNews.com for breaking news, world news, and news about the economy

Courtesy of the Last Word:

In Monday’s Rewrite segment, O’Donnell gave one giant I-told-you-so to pundits and media organizations who took the former Alaska governor seriously as a contender to run against President Obama in the 2012 race.

“New York Times reporters were not the only ones fooled by Sarah Palin pretending to think about running for president,” said O’Donnell. He also name-checked Dick Morris, Karl Rove, Rudy Giuliani and Game Change author Mark Halperin.

O’Donnell played a clip reel of the many times he predicted that her flirtations with the Oval Office were a complete “joke,” and reminded viewers of “the world in which the political media hung on every Sarah Palin tweet” and “every ridiculous Facebook post.”

“It seems now like a far off world, the world in which the political media took Sarah Palin seriously. And now she has lost even the slightest connection to political relevance since FOX News last week unceremoniously dumped her from their paid players list,” said O’Donnell.

Wow! Lawrence is having almost TOO much fun.

But you can't blame him. He was many time just about the ONLY pundit on any network to call bullshit on Palin's phony political prick teasing about possibly running for President.

God I love the smell of vindication ins the morning. don't you?

Just a reminder that four years ago this woman, and her elderly running mate, received 46% of the vote. No, seriously! Update!

These pictures are from Palin's Power Up Live appearance last week.  However this was the first time that I ever saw these pictures, and I was struck by just how incredibly unprofessional and bizarre this person appeared, and then how crazy it is to consider the fact that over 58 million people actually cast a vote to put HER in the VP position, and only one 72 year old's heart beat away from being the President of the United States of America.

Just mull over in your mind how crazy, and frightening, that is for a minute.

Whenever I think of how broken the Republican party is today, I also think back to the fact that in a desperate bid to win the 2008 election, they were willing to use this lunatic's ability to give certain voters a chubby, in an attempt to attract more votes to their side.

Faced with that cold reality is it any surprise that they are also willing to disenfranchise thousands of voters, throw away registration forms for the opposing party, and use voting machines to game the system?  Well it certainly shouldn't be!

P.S. By the way Sarah, Elvira Mistress of the Dark called, she said to give her back her look. You have neither the body, nor the brains, to pull it off effectively.

Jesus what were all of you people thinking, voting for this woman?

Update: The National Enquirer reports on just how far this once famous politician has fallen:

Now that her political career has hit a brick wall, scary-skinny Sarah is hoping to turn an upcoming workout book into a fitness empire, which would include DVDs, workout gear, health food products and even a gym franchise, say sources.

But friends fear the 48 year old mother of five’s extreme workout and diet regimen is threatening both her career and her health, as she’s carrying just 93 pounds on her 5-foot-5 frame.

“Sarah’s become a shadow of her former self and it’s really alarming,” a close pal told The ENQUIRER. “Her cheeks are sunken, her legs are pin-thin, and she has no hips. Her complexion looks leathery and her skin’s hanging off her bones. She’s even developed a turkey neck!”

According to the friend, the tea party favorite hatched a plan to launch her own fitness brand after realizing her $3 million Fox News contract as a political commentator probably won’t be renewed.

“Not that long ago, Sarah would NEVER have considered doing something like this,” said the pal. “She was hoping to parlay her brief political ascension into a long-range career as a pundit and power broker.

“Now Sarah’s desperate to stay in the limelight and make money any way she can.”

Personally I seriously doubt that even Palin's MOST ardent supporters would buy a fitness program developed by somebody who looks as sickly and undernourished as she does these days. I wonder if THIS will finally be the move that scares away her last, most dedicated, defenders?

Update 2: Here is the picture floating around of Sarah Palin's wig mounting the Power Up stage, apparently suspended on a broomstick.

Rolling Thunder spokesman still pissed off about Sarah Palin crashing their event in 2011.

Courtesy of ABC News:

ABC News: Do you get any celebrities to ride with you for Rolling Thunder?

President of Rolling Thunder Washington, Ted Shpak: “We had enough problems last year with Sarah Palin. She came out last year and said she’s speaking, and she’s bringing her bus and starting her tour, and that wasn’t happening. I went ballistic when I heard that. One of our members invited them who had no business to invite her. She showed up. Don’t come in the way she came in. It was a sad site to see. If she had just came like everybody else, I’d say it was OK. That’s not the way it happened.”

That's the Sarah Palin that we know and loathe, leaving a trail of disappointed and angry people wherever she goes!

Thankfully THIS year, now that she FINALLY had to drop the political prick teasing,  she has been relegated to  nothing more than the least informed "pundit" on cable news.

Of course things have been  little quiet over by the compound overlooking the dead lake.  Perhaps a little TOO quiet!

Sarah Palin and "The end of the political pole dance" or "What do you mean I can only afford one tassel?" Update!

"What are you saying I can't still bring in the money from horny Republican men?"
Courtesy of Politico:

Sarah Palin’s political action committee raised $388,000 in the first three months of the year, but it spent $418,000 and didn’t give a dime to any candidates — which is the purported purpose of the PAC.

Instead, Sarah PAC spent $255,000 on fundraising and a small team of political consultants that Palin has continued to support even as she receded from the political spotlight during the heat of the GOP presidential primary.

It may be a little cruel of me, but I LOVE that even as it becomes increasingly clear that Palin is finished in the world of politics, she cannot bring herself to discontinue with the charade, which means she has to keep "consultants" and "media people" on her payroll for the sake of appearance.

Which of course fits right in with the Palin family tradition of polishing a turd and trying to pass it off as a gold nugget.

And hey do you remember how Palin said that she really did not care about the movie "Game Change" and would NEVER even bother to watch it?

The PAC paid a little more than $19,000 to a Franklin, Tenn.-based company called Passcode Creative that has produced hagiographic Palin videos. The payments appear to coincide with the production and release of a video rebutting HBO’s “Game Change,” which Palin has alleged is based on a “false narrative.”

The two-and-a-half-minute video, which was made to look like a movie trailer, was titled “Game Change We Can Believe In.”

The video splices together a series of laudatory statements about Palin from McCain strategists Steve Schmidt and Nicolle Wallace, who are portrayed in “Game Change” as expressing doubts about Palin.

Yeah you know, not to be a stickler or anything, but usually when something "doesn't matter" to you, you don't spend $19,000 of your supporters money trying to refute it.  I'm just saying.

SarahPAC also paid $1,000 to send the Palin family to DisneyWorld
In the first three months of the year, the PAC also paid $27,500 each to Palin chief of staff Michael Glassner and issue consultant Peter Schweizer, $22,000 to speechwriter and Palin Internet defender Rebecca Mansour, $41,500 to Crawford, $21,000 to researcher Andrew Davis and $12,500 to conservative coalitions liaison Pam Pryor.

Well there are all of the usual suspects. (With the notable exception of Meg Stapletongue. Hmm.)

Nice to see that RAM is currently being paid so well to stay the hell off Twitter while slaving to make Sarah Palin sound like she knows anything about anything.

Considering how little SarahPAC seems to have done this quarter (Except for making that highly entertaining Palin mythology film of course) I started to wonder just what they had manged to spend $418,000 on?

Apparently the answer was buying stamps and filing papers. No, really!

The PAC managed to spend in excess of $67,000 dollars on "postage." And an additional $35,000 plus dollars on "clerical" work (This includes "data entry.").  Now some of this seems fairly legitimate, such as $38.00 to the Postmaster General in Arlington, Virginia, but the majority of it seems a little suspicious.

Personally I think it must be clear to everyone with even one or two working brain cells that SarahPAC has really never been anything but a huge slush fund for the Palin family, and that there is some creative bookkeeping happening to keep Uncle Sam from taking notice, but thirty five THOUSAND dollars for "clerical work" in three months? I mean come on!

Which begs the question, just what is being paid for here?

Much of the postage goes through two companies, MDI Imaging and Mailing and Southwest Publishing and Mailing, which appear to be fairly legitimate.  However for the life of me I cannot imagine how one can spend $67,000 dollars for postage in three months. Especially when only bringing in $388,000 for the quarter.

Now as for the clerical, that is perhaps even more suspicious.

The "data entry" portion was done by a company called Sterling LLC for a total of $8000, which was always paid in increments of $2,000.

The rest was paid to three Alaskan women, Carol Ryan of Wasilla, and what I am assuming is the mother daughter team of Marilyn and Tiffany Lane. Altogether this trio was paid almost $27,000 dollars for the quarter. If that continues for the entire year these three will have earned over $100,000 for "clerical work."  That is quite a sum of money for stuffing envelopes, filing papers, and.....?

Something smells very fishy, and it is not just the hands of a certain Alaska "fish picker." (Insert your own joke here.)

So what do YOU think "clerical work" stand for?

(Here is the link to the SarahPAC quarterly report, if you want to do a little digging of your own.)

Update: Okay by popular demand allow me provide this link to an open letter from Conor Friedersdorf over at the Atlantic to Sarah Palin on behalf of her donors.

Palin-bots about to get all excited over nothing again in 3..2..1

Of course she really says nothing here, but is just vague enough to make the idiots over at the Sea O'Pee start rubbing one out in anticipation that Palin will actually run for president sometime in their lifetime.

The woman has no shame.

I swear I have witnessed protozoa that catch on quicker than the people who support Palin do. Of course to be fair, they ARE more evolved.

And by the way doesn't CNN have some actual news to cover today? Even Fox didn't find it newsworthy to send someone to interview Granny Grifter about whether or not she ever plans to run for president or not, or to ask for whom she cast her vote.

By the way she has NO intention of running for president in 2016, because by the time 2016 rolls around she will either look like the Crypt Keeper or, if she continues with the plastic surgery, like Joan Rivers less attractive sister.

You will also notice that she once again defends Rush Limbaugh, and calls the media hypocrites for calling him out on the attacks directed at Sandra Fluke. And this on the same day that she demanded Obama give back the million dollars that Bill Maher gave a SuperPAC which supports him.

This woman, is an idiot!

P.S. If you want to see the real news that is happening this Super Tuesday then just click here.

Palin stuffs her ass into her political g-string, and grabs that pole yet again, to seduce more money out of her disappointed followers.

The above video of Palin visiting historic sites and trying to understand what the big words mean was accompanied by the following note directed to the few remaining shut ins at SarahPAC who have not yet decided to support a GOP candidate who is actually running for the nomination:

Celebrating George Washington’s birthday is an American tradition to honor our first president. Though Presidents’ Day is now the more commonly-used term, and has expanded to include all presidents, the legal term for this federal holiday remains Washington’s Birthday. We honor President Washington, not because he was flawless; he was not. He was, however, the epitome of self-sacrifice—both as a soldier and a statesman. It was that sacrifice that helped make America what it was destined to become.

We honor him because of what he accomplished and the manner in which he approached service to this nation: with a servant’s heart.

I am on record as acknowledging President Washington as my favorite Founder precisely because of that heart. He did not seek power. He accepted it reluctantly. He answered the call, offered himself up in the name of service, and helped to usher in a new day. At a time when he could have remained in office perpetually, as some expected, he chose to return to life as a citizen rather than seek a third term. He fulfilled his destiny, and his legacy is secure.

It is refreshing to reflect on one who was so far removed in spirit from the inside baseball that too often defines politics now. America celebrates President Washington for his decision to serve for the right reasons. Today, we could certainly use a little more Washington in DC and a little less BS in Washington.

Happy Presidents’ Day.

- Sarah Palin

Okay look, a lot of journalists, bloggers, and others, are going to try and dissect these messages and look for some clue that Palin is running or that she has finally decided to endorse a candidate.

They will find hidden meaning in her reference to George Washington, and attempt to discover some line which extends from Abraham Lincoln, through President Obama, and back to the GOP field in some way, that only SHE can discern

But most of that will be pure horseshit.

So let me, somebody who is well versed in Palin-speak, decipher this video and note for you.

Now this may be a little rough in the translation, and might appear too subtle for some, but bear with me.  Here is her message.

Oh my GOD, I am running out of money! Last quarter's financial report was pathetic!  There is NO WAY my family and I can be expected to live on that piddly amount!

I have kissed every ass at the Fox Studios, but nobody is offering me any work! Roger Ailes acts as if he is embarrassed to be seen with me, and even Hannity said I used to much teeth when I was auditioning for him!

Look I have people who NEED to receive their stipends from me, or else this whole house of cards is going to crumble down and smother my family right out of existence! And by the way, do you have ANY idea how much tuition for Hair School costs these days?

So come on troops, I am still a viable candidate sometime in the future.  (The far, far distant future that is) So don't give up on me now! I know the Tea Party is dead, my looks have faded, and everything I touch turns to shit, but little things like that should not come between us now, should it?

To sum up, GIVE ME MONEY!

Thank you for your time,

Sarah Palin (Now available for appearances at birthday parties, Bar Mitzvahs, and Civil War reenactments. Call me.)

There, fixed it.
