MSNBC presents the 9 most Sarah Palin being Sarah Palin moments.

MSNBC's Anna Brand has compiled a list of incidents in 2014 of Sarah Palin essentially being the most Sarah Palin.

And they are as follows:

1. The time she decided Putin wrestles bears and Obama wears mom jeans

Sound bite: “People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil. They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans,” Palin said “Anyone who carries the commonsense gene would know that Putin doesn’t change his stripes,” she said. “He wants to exert huge power and dominance, so he has to get to those border areas and he has to capture them.”

2. The time she sort of quoted Dr. Seuss.

This of course was several months after Ted Cruz read from "Green Eggs and Ham" during his ridiculous and self serving filibuster.  In March Palin did the same in front of CPAC:

Sound bite: “I do not like this Uncle Sam. I do not like his health care scam. I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their crony deals,” she continued. “I do not like this spying man. I do not like ‘oh yes we can.’ I do not like this spending spree. We’re smart, we know there’s nothing free. I do not like reporters’ smug replies when I complain about their lies. I do not like this kind of hope, and we won’t take it, nope, nope, nope.”

3. The time she said being a grandma might turn Hillary Clinton conservative.

Sound bite: “I think anyone who is a grandparent really starts looking further down the road. We start thinking about things like $17 trillion dollar debt that our nation is under and what we’re going to hand that to our grandkids for them to pay off,” she said. “That’s not fair to our grandkids. Hopefully, she’ll start thinking along those terms, too.”

4. The time she thought drinking Diet Dr. Pepper was the Ice Bucket Challenge

Sound bite: “C’mon, at this stage of my life, in my career, aren’t I a little too prim and proper for all that ice bucket water dumping?”

"Prim and proper?" Hardly.
5. The time she said let’s all bless the haters.

Sound bite: “Hey, the more they’re pouring it on, the more I’m going to bug the crap out of them by being out there, with a voice, with the message, Hopefully running for office in the future too … Bless their hearts, those haters out there. They don’t understand that it invigorates me. It wants me to get out there and defend the innocent,” she said. “It makes me want to work so hard for justice in this country!”

6. The time her family got into a bloody, shirtless drunken brawl

Sound bite: No sound bite. No one reportedly listened to her when she tried to intervene in Bristol’s defense and was sitting safely inside her white stretch limo when police arrived, according to the report.

Okay well clearly this Anna Brand did not do her research. Because as all of us already know, and the link above proves, Palin was not only NOT in the stretch Hummer, she was a full participant in the brawl itself.

The bloody shirtless part is right however.

7. The time she was stopped for speeding, which she called “qualifying.”

Sound bite: “I wasn’t speeding, I was qualifying.”

8. The time she declared that gun-free zones are ‘stupid on steroids.’

Sound bite: “Maybe our kids could be defended against criminals on the spot if more Mama Grizzlies carried [guns]. And [the] Obama administration wants you ID’d for that? Well, then go ahead and carry a sign too. A sign that says ‘Yeah, I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.’”

9. The time she launched a digital channel dedicated to herself.

Sound bite: “Are you tired of the media filters? Well, I am! I always have been. So we’re going to do something about it. Together, we’ll go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”

Boy can you believe all of that happened in only one year?

Well I still think my favorite moment of Palin being Palin (And her family doing the same.), was the Throwdown at the Hoedown.

I mean if anything defines this lunatic and her inbred Wasillabilly family that was it. Cussing, fighting, attempting to hijack the media, it was all there for everybody to see, and hear, for themselves.

Gee, I can only imagine what next year will bring.

Hey Sarah Palin get your own ideas!

So the above showed up on Sarah Palin's Channel website blog as the "Picture of the Day."

As I am sure all of you remember I linked to this video along with my initial post about Patrick Stewart's classy ice bucket challenge. Which I am pretty sure gave Palin the idea for her failed ice bucket challenge.

So now not only is Palin attempting to be a blogger just like me, but now she is also stealing my ideas.

And she didn't even have the common courtesy to give me a hat tip.

Figures.

Bob Cesca dissects the Sarah Palin ALS ice bucket challenge. Actually makes it a little funnier.

Cesca's a little late as most of us have already stopped chuckling over this most recent Palin fail, but he does a pretty good job of mining the episode for some hitherto unnoticed gems.

Here are some observations from his Daily Banter piece:

Like all of her Sarah Palin Channel videos, she’s obviously in her house somewhere, but the “set” looks like she’s either running a booth at an Etsy trade convention, or she’s selling tchotchkes at a rummage sale. In the frame we see Palin surrounded by the following items: a conch shell; a bottle of soda; an empty glass; handwritten notes; a check book; a small silver deer-head ice bucket; a random red cup with what appears to be the Philadelphia Phillies “P” logo; a bucket of pine cones; a framed ceremonial flag; an American flag hanging from the wall; a potted plant; a repro antique lamp; and a make-up mirror. Why are these things here? Who the fuck knows. It reminds me of Steve Martin’s random “all I need is this thermos” scene at the end of The Jerk: “All I need is this conch shell. And this box of pine cones. And this deer bucket. And this…”

(I LOVED that scene in "The Jerk.")

Watching Sarah Palin adding two ice cubes to a glass, then half-filling it (she never finishes anything all the way) with Diet Dr. Pepper, then replacing the cap on the bottle is like a Sisyphean endeavor that goes on for what seems like nine hours. But she really puts in a noteworthy effort with the ice tongs in spite of the fact that she’s probably thinking about a donkey napping under a tree*.

As Brian Cox advised in the Charlie Kaufman film Adaptation, “Wow them in the end.” No matter what happens throughout a film, if it ends spectacularly, you’ll win over your audience. So, just as Palin tips her glass of soda and offers up a “cheers,” someone appears from off-camera and dumps ice water on her head. It appears to happen completely by surprise because her reaction is one of genuine shock. Palin’s glasses fly off and she leaps from her chair screaming bloody murder and chattering in utter horror followed by another off-camera scream. Now that’s comedy, and it’s just about her depth, too. If she wants to win over Americans again, she needs to stick at the Jackass level — straight-up stunt gags. I’d totally watch that show. Palin and Bam Margera waking up Bam’s parents with fireworks. Palin and Johnny Knoxville getting Tazered. Palin and Wee-Man rolling down a hill inside giant truck tires while barfing. Finally, her “zone.”

Probably the best part of Cesca's piece is the slow motion replay of Palin getting iced, iced baby that he adds at the end of his post.

Oh yeah, I could watch THAT all day.

P.S. BY the way there's more good stuff over at the Daily Banter that I left out.

Sarah Palin steals Patrick Stewart's classy response to the ice bucket challenge, yet manages to leave out the class. Update!

Courtesy of the cowardly copy cat's Facebook page:

Watch my video to see whom I challenge. Hat tip to actor Patrick Stewart for reminding everyone with his video that the donation is the most important part of the #icebucketchallenge, not the frivolous water-tossing theatrics that those of us who are more thoughtfully serious choose to forgo.

There is a video attached as well of Palin mimicking Stewart down to almost the last detail, except she substitutes Dr. Pepper for the alcoholic beverage that he enjoyed. (Yeah, like you don't drink.)

Personally I think that Palin feared getting water dumped on her that might have exposed her phony fake boobies to the world, or revealed that she is a carpenter's dream. (Though of course in the end she did get wet.)

By the way is there any one of you out there that still doubts the fact that Palin visits IM on a regular basis?

Update: Here are some screenshots of my favorite part.

Actor Patrick Stewart wins the ALS ice bucket challenge.

Damn that is classy.

If you are on the internet for any amount of time, you cannot help but to see numerous ALS ice bucket challenges from....well from EVERYBODY.

In fact I really cannot think of anybody who has NOT done it yet.

Some of them are very entertaining, but after awhile there is this terrible redundancy to the whole thing.

So seeing the video of Patrick Stewart, of whom I am a great fan anyway, just made me smile.

And I thought it might help you to smile as well.

P.S. By the way Sarah Palin did the ice bucket challenge as well.

You know, maybe THAT'S the best one.
