Is it the two year anniversary of the great Palin brawl? Why yes I do believe it is.

Ah it just seem like yesterday when we were talking about this incredibly embarrassing episode of the Palin family drama.

Before there were custody battles with Dakota, or Track's domestic abuse arrest, or snowmachine "accidents" for Todd in the news, there was the brawl.

If you remember it seemed to take forever for the events of September 6, 2014 to finally completely bubble to the surface. Oh sure we had anonymous tips and intriguing comments to follow, but it was not until October the 21st, that we finally got pictures.

And not until the next day that all of that great audio was finally released by the APD:

Through sobs, Bristol Palin, described as "heavily intoxicated" in the police report, tells police she was pushed to the ground and dragged across the grass while Klingenmeyer called her names. “They took my $300 sunglasses, they took my f**king shoes and I’m f**king just left here?”

The officer asks where she’s injured. “My f**king knees, my face, where’s my sh*t? I have a 5-year-old in the car,” she replies.

Such a great day.

Of course from there the whole thing took off, and was covered by all kinds of news outlets.

One of my favorite parts was when poor Nancy French was tasked with telling Bristol's side of the story:

After I got out of the car, I didn’t get far. I never even got to talk to his mom, because a guy in his late thirties or early forties got in my face. He was towering over me – probably at 6 foot something and over 200 pounds. He puffed his chest out and started yelling.

“You c-nt!” he looked right in my eyes and said. “Get the f-ck out of here, you slut!”

I was alarmed that things had gotten so bad so fast. But it got even worse when this guy started pushing me. He had his hands on me, pushing me down. That’s when I swung and hit his face.

Some would say I should’ve never retaliated in defense against him, but certainly he should never have pushed a girl. It didn’t phase him. He pushed me down to the ground and kept me there.

It was scary and awful. He held me down until someone got me out of the situation.

That’s it – that’s the story.

Yeah great story, except it did not match ANY other person's version of events, and in fact did not even match what Bristol told the cops on the released audio.

So here's a little something that I was not able to share before.

Do you remember this guy?

He's the guy who got fired by Todd's pals the McKenna brothers for talking to the press.

Well do you know who else he is?

He's the brother of Levi and Sunny's attorney Darryl Thompson. Oh yeah, that's right.

And they had an appointment before the judge on the Monday following the brawl. So their attorney came armed with this incredible tale to discuss with the judge concerning Bristol's parenting skills.

So yes that means I also knew all about the brawl only a few days after it happened, because part of my deal about lending the Johnstons the money was that they keep me updated on the progress of the custody case

However they told it to me in my capacity as a friend, and not as a blogger, so I was unable to share it with ANYONE until I started getting information from other sources.

Do you have any idea how hard that was for me?

Here was one of the BIGGEST Palin stories to ever come out, and my hands were literally tied by the promises I made. (The custody case is over now so I am not longer bound by that promise.)

Fortunately for all of us the information finally came out in a rather spectacular fashion, so even though I did not get the scoop, it was still great to cover this story.

And since it was still popping up in the news even several months later it just made the whole thing worth it.

Remembering the Anchorage brawl. Has it been a year already?

Wow is it September the 6th already?

It feels like just yesterday when we first started hearing about the Throwdown at the Hoedown.

Remember when we were first trying to piece everything together, and getting only minimal help from the Anchorage police?

Witnesses were talking, but some were afraid of backlash for going public. And that was not paranoia on their part either.

Of course the Palins tried to get their version out to do a little damage control.

But ultimately our constant pressure caused the APD to finally cave in and release the full report (With both pictures and audio!) after over a month of badgering.

Of course the Palins responded to this by playing their favorite card. The victim card.

However the damage had already been done.

All in all it was perhaps one of my favorite episodes since I started to report on these Wasillabillies.

Hey, you know Kory Klingenmeyer is having his birthday again, you don't think we could get lucky enough for lightning (That's what I call Bristol's fists) to strike twice do you?

If you want more of a longer walk down memory lane simply type the word "brawl" into the Search This Blog window and allow the karma to wash over you.

So Todd Palin got a new plane.

Click image to see pretty plane video on Willow's Instagram.
Now if you are like me you are probably wondering just how Todd could afford to buy a plane when we all know that SarahPAC dollars are drying up like Palin's nether regions and Sarah's ability to make money off of reality shows, speeches, and public appearances is all but disappearing?

Well an industrious member of our IM team did a little checking, and though the source for the money is not revealed the time of the sale and the former owner is.

As you can see the N-number on the tail is N305SP.

According to Flight Aware that plane is now registered to Iron Investments which has exactly two members:

Sarah and Todd Palin.

Now according to Flight Aware the previous owner was Samaritan's Purse, and we all know that it is a "charity" run by none other than Franklin Graham.

You know Graham, the guy who went with Palin to drop off cookies to the wrong Alaska village in response to pleas for assistance by natives in entirely different villages.

And as for Todd's old plane? Well he sold that to Matthew McKenna.

You remember McKenna don't you? He was the guy that kinda sorta backed up the Palin version of the Throwdown at the Hoedown.

Gee it all seems a little....incestuous doesn't it?

And why do I feel that there is much more going on here than meets the eye?

And speaking of meeting the eye does Palin even own a mirror these days?

The National Enquirer finds something special that Dakota Meyer and his fiancee Bristol Palin have in in common. Brawling.

Source
Courtesy of the National Enquirer:

Bristol Palin and her fiancé have more in common than just political views – both Bristol and Marine Corps vet Dakota Meyer seem to have a penchant for getting into drunken brawls!

While Bristol, 24, reportedly punched a man after she was asked to leave a party, Medal of Honor winner Dakota, 26, allegedly walloped a girl!

The National ENQUIRER has obtained photos of the aftermath of a Dec. 2012 melee that left Dakota with a gash to the head, and another male, Kanissa’a Thompson, arrested for assault.

According to Kanissa’a, Dakota was the aggressor, and he hit Kanissa’a’s sister, who was tussling with the girlfriend of Dakota’s brother! Kanissa’a also said he saw Dakota “punch” his sister.

In an exclusive interview he told The ENQUIRER: “This girl got into a fight with one of our friends, and Dakota was trying to break it up. He was drunk, and he punched her.

“Dakota turned around and punched [my sister]. She knocked him out.

Of course here at IM this is not news, but I just have to LOL at the idea that right when Sarah starts pimping this wedding and working the publicity angle that there will be this meme out there of the brawling bride from Wasilla, and her glass jawed Medal of Honor winning groom.

I have little doubt that those facts will provide plenty of fodder for late night comedians if they even bother to comment on these D-list celebrities at this point.

Radar Online finally learns that Bristol Palin's MOH fiance may have had his ass kicked by a girl. Update!

Courtesy of Radar Online:

Bristol Palin has a lot more in common with her fiancé than just her conservative political views: They both have found themselves entangled in a wild brawl! Sarah Palin’s daughter infamously threw a few punches at a party in Alaska last summer, and now, RadarOnline.com has learned, her fiancé Dakota Meyer was caught in a bloody scuffle that included an alleged gun and punching a girl!

According to a new report in The National ENQUIRER, the Medal of Honor recipient got into a fight at a Kentucky party in December 2012 that left him with a nasty gash to the head — and a partygoer arrested for the assault.

According to the report from Kentucky State Police obtained by The ENQUIRER, Meyer said he was leaving a party when he claims a female friend was “getting assaulted” by another girl. In trying to protect her, he claimed, he was knocked to the ground and “kicked in the head.”

I am sure that a lot of you are going "Wait we already know this." And that's because you already know this.

You see I wrote about it back in March.

Including the part where Meyer accused some guy, even though witnesses claimed it was a girl, and then Meyer attempted to coerce the guy into joining the military in order to get the charges dropped against him.

Personally I love it that this is hitting the gossip sites. And love it even more that they mentioned the brawl.

Supposedly it is less than a month before the Palins hold Meyer down and brand their mark into him, so I think a little media scrutiny is a good thing.

Because I gotta tell ya, the fact that Meyer can't take a punch from a woman only makes him that much more attractive to the Palin clan.

Update: Okay I must have missed this portion of the article earlier, but it's new so take a look:

“We were all at a party we were leaving and couple fights broke out,” Thompson told The ENQUIRER, adding that as the designated driver he was sober. “We were getting all them and putting them in the car and there’s this girl who got into a fight with one of our friends. Dakota was trying to break it up, he was drunk, he punched her and she hit the ground and he was on the ground on top of the girl.

“My sister pulled him up and he turned around and punched her,” he added. “And she knocked him out. When he got up and reached around his back he pulled out a gun and I was less than five feet from him.

“I grabbed my sister and pulled her and all his friends jumped up on him so he didn’t shoot anyone.”

Okay that is way more fucked up than the version I reported on last month.

But you have to admit that it sounds like something Meyer would do.

Police dashcam video of that altercation between police and the Christian street performers is both hypnotic and deeply troubling. Update!

Courtesy of Mediaite:

Arizona investigators have released dashcam footage of a recent brawl between Christian street performers and the police that left one person dead.

The encounter, which took place in the parking lot of a Walmart last month, involved Cottonwood police asking the Gaver family about an alleged assault of a Walmart employee. There were four cops and roughly eight members of the family present.

Needless to say, things escalated, and a fight broke out. One of the officers was hit by a bullet and another was put in a headlock. David Gaver was shot in the stomach and 21-year-old Enoch Gaver was killed.

According to the police chief, Enoch Gaver had taken an officer’s gun and shot him, and another officer tried to hit him with a baton, but when that didn’t stop him, he just shot Gaver with his gun.

The Gaver family was identified as street performers, comprising a Christian band called “Matthew 24 Now.”

Holy shit what an out of control melee.

I covered this story right after it happened, but I admit I got some details wrong as it was presented by the news at first as a shootout between this Christian group, also identified as Mormons, and the police.

Now it is clear that the group was unarmed, but in no mood to comply with the police during their investigation of the alleged Walmart assault.

My impression just from watching the video is that the family seem to have started the conflict, but the actions of the police are also highly questionable. and at some points almost Keystone Kop-like.

The one gentleman who keeps calling the cops "Nazis" certainly did not help matters much, nor did the big guy in the t-shirt who appears to be a bystander and jumps into the fight to trade punches with family members.

It's terrible that somebody died during this encounter, but honestly I have to place most of the blame with the family, who seem either inebriated or mentally impaired in some manner.

Update: Here is an explanation as to exactly what is happening offered by the Cottonwood PD. It really does make things a lot clearer.

BTW it turns out I was mistaken about the big guy in the t-shirt who was a Walmart employee that the police credit for providing them with a great deal of help.

So good news for Bristol, apparently there is a chance that Dakota Meyer is used to having his ass kicked by women.

"Me and Rowan." Not sure who Rowan is.
I have been sent a lot of articles and pictures concerning Dakota Meyer in the last few days (Including the picture up above.) but one of them really caught my attention.

This is courtesy of the Lexington Herald-Leader concerning a drunken brawl in 2012 that found Dakota being badly injured:

Kanissa'ai Thompson is charged with second-degree assault for allegedly inflicting serious injury on Meyer, 24, during an early-morning fight Dec. 9, but Thompson said he never touched Meyer.

"I never got involved," he told the Lexington Herald-Leader in an interview Friday.

Meyer received medical treatment for the injuries he received at a party held in a Columbia business commonly called the Red Barn.

According to a female friend of Meyer he required  three staples to close a head wound but she never got a good look at who struck him.

Meyer identified this man.

However he claims it was not him, but a female at the party:

The 18-year-old farm worker charged with assaulting Medal of Honor recipient Dakota Meyer claims he never touched the high-profile Marine veteran and puts the blame on an unidentified young woman.

Now as it turns out Meyer did not know who hit him either, and claims to have identified Thompson based on eyewitness accounts, even though the female friend of Meyer said that she heard differing accounts of who threw the punches, some of which hit her as well.

Now here is the truly messed up part:

Thompson said he believed Meyer had identified him as the assailant because of the potential embarrassment of being hit by a woman (Boy that has a ring of truth to it doesn't it?), but Meyer disputed that contention during a phone conversation he had with Thompson on Friday.

Meyer called Thompson while he was being interviewed by the Herald-Leader, and Thompson allowed a reporter to listen to the conversation.

Meyer said he did not identify Thompson as the person who kicked him while he was down. Other witnesses gave statements about who assaulted him, Meyer said during the call.

Thompson had called Meyer earlier in the week to talk about the incident, and Meyer called back Friday to see if Thompson was serious about wanting to join the military, which they had discussed earlier.

If so, Meyer said, he would drop the assault charge so it would not ruin the 18-year-old's chances to join the service.

Meyer told Thompson he knew he was "a good kid." "I want to do whatever to help you out," Meyer said.

"If you're going to go to the military and there's no charges pressed on me from anybody, then I'll tell you ... me and you'll go together is what we'll do, and it'll all end."

So to be clear Meyer is not sure that Thompson is the guy who hit him, but he is willing to let the young man off the hook IF he agrees to enlist in the military.

Does that sound like blackmail to anybody else?

Well I think this might be a match made in heaven, since as we know from the Throwdown at the Hoedown Bristol really likes to punch men in the face.

For those who just want to get right to Bristol's drunken testimony from that night, here is the famous Thonghazi from our pal Kenny Pick.

Yeah, I think that Levi REALLY needs to fight hard to keep Tripp here in Alaska with him, and for both shared physical and legal custody to protect his son from the drunken fights that you just know lie ahead for this couple.

It looks like the pundits are still trying to make sense out of Sarah Palin's Iowa speech. Update!

I like that the pundits are remarking that this is really not that unusual for a Palin speech. The only difference seems to be that since she was teasing a 2016 presidential run, people were listening.

"Did anybody ever think she was ever going to run for President?" Asks one panelist.

And the answer to that is "Yes there were." That is how we separate the morons from the rest of the of us.

I will also disagree with the last pundit who seems to believe that the Republicans have five or six actually qualified candidates to run for President in 2016. I think that is seriously fudging the numbers.

Did you notice that the brawl was brought up? Yep that is now part of the Palin family brand.

As is, unfortunately for Palin's future as a political grifter, the Iowa speech.

By the way the title of this Spin Cycle segment was "Palin Pounded by Pundits."

Not the kind of pounding that her former male supporters used to fantasize her receiving I'm sure.

Update: Apparently Kurtz received so much blowback about this segment that he felt the need to kinda sorta apologize for it.

Alaskan blogger Amanda Coyne accepts job with newly minted Republican Senator Dan Sullivan. Say what?

Courtesy of Pipeline:

Amanda Coyne accepted a job as a speechwriter and senior adviser to U.S. Sen. Dan Sullivan, she announced over the weekend on her popular Alaska political blog.

Coyne, who spent more than a decade reporting in Alaska and co-founded the Alaska Dispatch website, will move to Washington for the new job.

“I’ll still be in and out of the state, and anything can happen,” Coyne wrote in what she described as a final post. “So it’s not goodbye — something more like au revoir, as Hollis French might say.”

This move has not gone over well with the team for the man who Dan Sullivan, and his corporate masters, defeated for the job of Alaska Senator, Mark Begich:

“This is an unfortunate decision after Sullivan paid Coyne thousands for Internet ads,” wrote Max Croes, a former Begich spokesman. “After the election it’s now clear Sullivan had her resume in his hands while basking in favorable coverage from an ‘independent journalist.'”

And Begich is not alone in feeling a little disgusted about this. Here is what our pal Rep. Les Gara had to say yesterday on Facebook:

Hmm. Finally an answer?..To Amanda Coyne's periodic drive-by attacks on certain Democrats, including Yours Truly, and her almost unfailing fawning over Republican top legislative brass? She's now Policy Adviser for Senator for all Corporations, Dan Sullivan. Because, cough, of what she calls his "honesty" and "integrity" - I guess like when he repeatedly tried to create the misimpression SB 21 would double North Slope oil production and make us rich, when he claimed he had no position on the Pebble Mine, which he granted permit after permit to move forward.

I have to admit that I am feeling a little sick to my stomach as well, since during the Palin drunken brawl brouhaha I drove quite a bit of traffic her way, and introduced hundreds of new visitors to her blog. (It's really not that popular.)

I even let her go on television to talk about the Throwdown at the Hoedown, when the opportunity was first offered to me. (Dammit! I could have been a star.)

In my opinion the least patriotic thing that real Alaskans can do politically these days is to be associated with Dan Sullivan, who essentially bought that Senate seat with money from the Koch brothers and stole it from a man who has always put Alaskans first.

Just another sad day for Alaska bloggers.

P.S. I wanted to make it clear that it is not the fact that Coyne is secretly a conservative that is upsetting me. Actually I did not know, nor care about her politics when I linked to her during the time that the Palin brawl information was just coming to light.

My problem is that she is working for Dan Sullivan, which I think is a slap in the face to Alaskans.

If she had decided to work for Lisa Murkowski, or a Republican state senator, it would not have bothered me very much at all.

But not Sullivan. It is not about politics, it is about integrity.

Talking Point Memo chooses the Throwdown at the Hoedown as one of the best scandals of 2014.

Courtesy of TPM:

TPM is pleased to announce the winners of the Eighth Annual Golden Dukes recognizing the year's best purveyors of public corruption, outlandish behavior, The Crazy and betrayals of the public trust. The awards are named in honor of former Rep. Randy "Duke" Cunningham, who epitomizes the iconic modern scandal.

Our celebrity judges -- Julieanne Smolinski, Dan Savage, Hendrik Hertzberg and Susie Bright -- waded their way through all 28 finalists in 7 categories, and selected the winners.

The category that the brawl won in was  "Sex and Generalized Carnality" which I think is the perfect category.

The first judge, Julieanne Smolinski, made the wrong choice so we will skip her reasoning.

But here are the statements from the remaining judges who know a good scandal when they hear audio of one:

Dan Savage: The Palin Clan

Whenever the Palin kids make the news—teen pregnancies, on-and-off-again engagements, hate speech eruptions, drunken brawls, etc.—I like to pretend that the news is about the Obama girls and then imagine what the RWNJs on Twitter and Breitbart and Redstate would have to say about it. The Obama girls were slammed for failing to treat the annual pardoning of a Thanksgiving turkey with the solemnity it deserved. (Sorry, but looking bored and rolling your eyes are the only appropriate responses to this idiotic ritual—and this ritual isn’t just stupid, it’s soured by how few human beings President Obama has pardoned during his presidency.) So imagine the reaction if Sasha and Malia got involved in a drunken brawl at a party—with mom and dad there, screaming and yelling and throwing punches themselves. The commentary and handwringing would be loud and long—and the dog whistles would be loud enough to wake Lee Atwater.

Susie Bright: The Palin Clan

Despite the absence of bonafide insertion shots, the bodacious Palin borrachos nevertheless make every media occasion a dead ringer for early 90s VHS sequel porn. Suckers are played for Money Shots; we endure interminable boredom between blasts of sweat and hairspray. It's not their fault they're tan, photogenic, and prone to Zappa-esque "Valley Girl" loops of brio. They're just drawn that way.

Hendrik Hertzberg: The Palin Clan

The Palins. As Josh says, no sex—but plenty of flesh, much of it bruised and bleeding. It’s a whole country-music song cycle, with lyrics by the Anchorage police department and stunt work by the first family of political reality television. The violence is spectacular but family-oriented and resulting in no serious injury and probably not even much physical pain, given the analgesic properties of such prodigious quantities of booze. Sarah, her brawling brood, and their fellow revelers deserve special commendation for choosing, in this instance, not to exercise their Second Amendment rights.

"Plenty of flesh, much of it bruised and bleeding." The perfect description of the incident that marks the end of any political future for the Grizzled Mama despite what she might tell family members as she hires lawyers to help them keep their jobs.

And by the way for those who claim to be tired of the Palin family brawl story, tough shit.

This was and is a very important story that is still paying dividends, and which is going to figure prominently in some of the information from my source that I am going to be sharing in the near future.

If you think this story is over, then hold onto your seats kids because just like Jason in those "Friday the 13th" movies this thing will not stay dead.

"Doghazi" goes viral as Palin apologists attempt to tamp down outrage. Update!

Since yesterday was New Year's Day it took the news a little while to get up to speed, but by late last night the responses to Trig standing on a dog and his mother's incredibly poor parenting were all over the internet.

And this morning the negative comments arriving on Palin's Facebook page have completely overwhelmed it. Which is interesting since as we know she as a team of people to keep that thing sanitized.

Here are but a few that are still there as of this post:

Pam Blades: You are one dumb woman!

Lauren Sparber: Bad parenting. Dogs are not step stools. They are lucky the dog did not bite the child or get injured. They are lucky the dog didn't get up and send the child head first into the counter or floor.

Suze Miller: Dogs are not furniture. Who didn't get the memo?

Bobbie Raymond Smith: Have you not taught him that abusing animals.(or people) is unacceptable behavior? And that fact that you thought this was funny... It says more about your character. He has an excuse... You DON'T.

Danica Vuleta Jenny: the dog who is a loyal family member would not move if in pain!!!! Dogs are loyal to their owners and he sees the child is above him in pecking order, as a person it is obvious it would be uncomfortable not to mention dangerous for both. I say we get a man to stand on you face down while your son takes pics, post them and I'm sure the population of the world will like the pics!!

Charlotte Omeara; Stupid woman !!! Protect your dog and your child and buy a proper step for your child to help with dishes all good mothers do!! Shame on you woman and in anyone else who thinks this is okay.

Of course there are the usual Palin supporters working overtime to play this whole thing down by suggesting that if the dog were being hurt he would move. But of course that is not precisely true and also misses the point that Palin did not correct a potentially abusive behavior and allowed her child with Down syndrome to put himself and a family pet in danger of harm while she simply stood by and took photos.

A fact that has truly upset even past Palin supporters who are parents or dog owners themselves.

Palin Facebook posts do not always receive a great deal of attention these days, but this one has gone international.

The Daily Mail has an article up.

As does the Inquisitr, The Independent, the New York Daily News, and even Australian news outlets

I think that this controversy really has legs as indicated by the fact that my post on it received over 400 comments on New Years Day of all days.

And really if you think about this it fits right in with the meme about Palin's poor parenting that includes her pregnant teenage daughter, her drug addicted son, her vandalizing middle child, and of course the infamous brawl.

Let's face it the real damage stories like this do is to reinforce what people already suspect about Sarah Palin and her tribe of uneducated, hateful, substance abusing offspring.

Update: And now the number one story on Mediaite.

Oh yeah, this is going to leave a mark.

Update 2: PETA is not amused by Palin's photos either:

People for the Ethical Treatment of Animals called the post inappropriate.

“It’s odd that anyone — let alone a mother — would find it appropriate to post such a thing, with no apparent sympathy for the dog in the photo,” PETA President Ingrid Newkirk said in a statement to POLITICO.

“Then again, PETA, along with everyone else, is used to the hard-hearted, seeming obliviousness of this bizarrely callous woman,” Newkirk said

I could not have said that better myself.

Alaska Dispatch lists the Palin drunken brawl among their "Most Read Stories of 2014."

Courtesy of the Alaska Dispatch:

All of these were topics that captured the fascination of Alaskans -- and in many cases, the rest of the country -- in 2014. From an especially heated Alaska political season and the murders of two Alaska state troopers in the remote community of Tanana, to lighter topics like the ongoing saga of Alaska reality TV and the involvement of the Palin family in an Anchorage tussle that went viral under the hashtag "#PalinBrawl," these are our most-read stories of the year.

The story that received the attention was the one that finally confirmed on September 11, that despite attempts to claim otherwise the Palins WERE there the night of the Throwdown at the Hoedown:

“A preliminary investigation by police revealed that a party had been taking place at a nearby residence and a fight had broken out between multiple subjects outside of the residence,” Castro wrote. “None of the involved parties wanted to press charges at the time of the incident and no arrests were made at the scene. Alcohol was believed to have been a factor in the incident. Some of the Palin family members were in attendance at the party.”

Of course that was the day after we had already confirmed that here on IM. But really whose keeping track?

When reading this I had almost forgotten that Palin had attempted to preemptively put herself someplace else before the news broke about the brawl.

Unfortunately for her there were just too many witnesses and, eventually, too much evidence that put her right in the thick of things.

A fact by the way, that at least one commenter to her Facebook page knew all along:

On her Facebook page, Sarah Palin posted that she was traveling on Saturday.

One commenter, Kimberley Vranckaert-Trujillo, claimed to be a witness to the incident, writing in the post thread: “Interesting. ... pretty sure you were not traveling and you and family were on the Southside causing chaos. Saw it happen. Don't fib.” The comment has since been removed.

I have to confess that this was a story that damn near gave me a breakdown as I learned about the story on Monday, September 8th from a single source that I simply could not name, so I had to wait for confirmation to arrive before I could post anything about it on the blog.

Fortunately for me that came in my e-mail box and I literally posted my initial story, with a few mistakes that had to be cleaned up, right around the time that Amanda Coyne posted her piece.

After that is was all about trying to build a fire under the APD to get them to finish their investigation and release the details. That part was excruciating.

But when they finally did it was worth it.

I mean none of the Palins were indicted which would have been better, but at least the police allowed the public access to the audio so that they could hear for themselves exactly the kind of foul mouthed trailer trash that we have been telling everybody the Palins were since way back in 2008.

And that is nothing to sneeze at.

USA Today's Year in Review chose 50 stories from 50 states. Guess which one they chose for Alaska.

Courtesy of USA Today:

It was a birthday party gone bad, starring former governor Sarah Palin and her family. According to reports, the clan got into a big fight at a party in Anchorage, and Palin was even said to have screamed, "Don't you know who I am!?" In October, Radar Online and Extra unearthed what they say is the police recording from the scene. Listen for yourself. Palin eventually addressed the brawl on Facebook, pointing us to her daughter Bristol's version of what went down. Bristol said someone messed with her little sister.

That last part of course we all know is bullshit.

We know the true story and thanks to those police audio tapes so does anybody else willing to take the time to listen.

Seriously, in my opinion it was the feel good story of 2014.

And do you know what? It's still paying dividends.

Friday, December 26, 2014

Well guess which Wasillabilly family is nominated for TPM's Golden Dukes ward, under the category "Best Scandal -- Sex and Generalized Carnality." Did you peek?

Here are the categories according to Talking Points Memo:

Best Scandal -- Sex and Generalized Carnality -The Palin clan for the brawl of the century (no, no sex but nominated for just generally gettin' down and dirty when everyone's good and drunk.)

-Gov. Tom Corbett who was Attorney General when members of his staff exchanged pornographic emails.

-Carl Demaio for multiple sexual harassment allegations.

-Investigator David Nieland, who conducted the internal review of the Homeland Security Department's prostitution scandal, and then resigned himself over an incident involving a prostitute in Florida.

Aww, come on! Those other scandals cannot hold a candle to the Throwdown at the Hoedown!

I mean we have both pictures AND audio.

You can actually HEAR the drunken stupidity, and threatening behavior for yourself.

Okay look according to Josh Marshall of TPM the decision will not be rendered until December the 31st, so that gives us quite a few days to let him know that there is NO scandal more deserving of that award than the Palin drunken family brawl.

Don't just stand there, go leave a comment. And make sure to leave links to the police audio too.

No way can we let those scandal wannabes Tom Corbett of Carl Demaio walk away this thing.

MSNBC presents the 9 most Sarah Palin being Sarah Palin moments.

MSNBC's Anna Brand has compiled a list of incidents in 2014 of Sarah Palin essentially being the most Sarah Palin.

And they are as follows:

1. The time she decided Putin wrestles bears and Obama wears mom jeans

Sound bite: “People are looking at Putin as one who wrestles bears and drills for oil. They look at our president as one who wears mom jeans,” Palin said “Anyone who carries the commonsense gene would know that Putin doesn’t change his stripes,” she said. “He wants to exert huge power and dominance, so he has to get to those border areas and he has to capture them.”

2. The time she sort of quoted Dr. Seuss.

This of course was several months after Ted Cruz read from "Green Eggs and Ham" during his ridiculous and self serving filibuster.  In March Palin did the same in front of CPAC:

Sound bite: “I do not like this Uncle Sam. I do not like his health care scam. I do not like these dirty crooks, or how they lie and cook the books. I do not like when Congress steals, I do not like their crony deals,” she continued. “I do not like this spying man. I do not like ‘oh yes we can.’ I do not like this spending spree. We’re smart, we know there’s nothing free. I do not like reporters’ smug replies when I complain about their lies. I do not like this kind of hope, and we won’t take it, nope, nope, nope.”

3. The time she said being a grandma might turn Hillary Clinton conservative.

Sound bite: “I think anyone who is a grandparent really starts looking further down the road. We start thinking about things like $17 trillion dollar debt that our nation is under and what we’re going to hand that to our grandkids for them to pay off,” she said. “That’s not fair to our grandkids. Hopefully, she’ll start thinking along those terms, too.”

4. The time she thought drinking Diet Dr. Pepper was the Ice Bucket Challenge

Sound bite: “C’mon, at this stage of my life, in my career, aren’t I a little too prim and proper for all that ice bucket water dumping?”

"Prim and proper?" Hardly.
5. The time she said let’s all bless the haters.

Sound bite: “Hey, the more they’re pouring it on, the more I’m going to bug the crap out of them by being out there, with a voice, with the message, Hopefully running for office in the future too … Bless their hearts, those haters out there. They don’t understand that it invigorates me. It wants me to get out there and defend the innocent,” she said. “It makes me want to work so hard for justice in this country!”

6. The time her family got into a bloody, shirtless drunken brawl

Sound bite: No sound bite. No one reportedly listened to her when she tried to intervene in Bristol’s defense and was sitting safely inside her white stretch limo when police arrived, according to the report.

Okay well clearly this Anna Brand did not do her research. Because as all of us already know, and the link above proves, Palin was not only NOT in the stretch Hummer, she was a full participant in the brawl itself.

The bloody shirtless part is right however.

7. The time she was stopped for speeding, which she called “qualifying.”

Sound bite: “I wasn’t speeding, I was qualifying.”

8. The time she declared that gun-free zones are ‘stupid on steroids.’

Sound bite: “Maybe our kids could be defended against criminals on the spot if more Mama Grizzlies carried [guns]. And [the] Obama administration wants you ID’d for that? Well, then go ahead and carry a sign too. A sign that says ‘Yeah, I carry a gun because a cop is too heavy.’”

9. The time she launched a digital channel dedicated to herself.

Sound bite: “Are you tired of the media filters? Well, I am! I always have been. So we’re going to do something about it. Together, we’ll go beyond the sound bites and cut through the media’s politically correct filter.”

Boy can you believe all of that happened in only one year?

Well I still think my favorite moment of Palin being Palin (And her family doing the same.), was the Throwdown at the Hoedown.

I mean if anything defines this lunatic and her inbred Wasillabilly family that was it. Cussing, fighting, attempting to hijack the media, it was all there for everybody to see, and hear, for themselves.

Gee, I can only imagine what next year will bring.

Pulling back the facade on Sarah Palin and her Wasillabilly family.

Before you start reading this post remember that this is only the information that I can share that does not out my source completely. There is much that is being left for future posts when she decides that she is in a position to reveal her identity.

When that happens all of this will have a far bigger impact. As will what is soon to follow.

As I have shared before the impetus for this source seeking me out was the drunken brawl in Anchorage. When all of that was in its early stages this person was afraid that Palin was about to skate free and decided she simply could not watch that happen yet again.

So as it turned out this person also had an acquaintance that was at the party in Anchorage the night of Throwdown at the Hoedown and I shared that information back in early October.

However after the police audio came out, all of the dust settled, and it became clear that the Palins would NOT face any prosecution, I reached out to my source to tell them that apparently it was up to the two of us to make sure the family did not get away scott free.

That, of course, elicited the response "I'm in."

And after some miscommunication which had me doubting that, it turns out that indeed she is in.

During some of our initial conversations my source made it clear that the behavior captured on audio that night was in NO way new for the family. And in fact heavy drinking and drug use is as common to the Palins as swimming is for fish. (Well except the ones in the lake of theirs. Those just float.)

According to my source the drinking is a learned behavior that the Palin men inherited from their father Jim Palin who, once again according to this very well placed source, was a prestigious drinker with a bad temper. (He also apparently had some problems with the ladies, as he seems to have lost his job with MEA back in the 90's for "sexual harassment." Now why is THAT not surprising?)

Anyhow Todd and other members of his family seem to have followed in their father's footsteps and developed drinking problems of their own. Apparently a favorite place to indulge is the Petersburg cabin. But when they cannot get there, Todd's garage will do, where, according to my source, the favorite topic of conversation is what a c**t Sarah is.

But of course it is not all just drinking. Also according to the source Todd has a back problem that he treats with liberal doses of Hydrocodone. (In case you're wondering, yes the directions suggest that you avoid drinking alcohol when taking this medication.)

However as we already know drugs are even more of a problem for other members of the Palin family. Like Dianne Palin for instance, who apparently started her breaking and entering career by stealing from various family members first, including Sarah and Todd, though nobody thought to get her any help because, well it wouldn't look good now would it?

And then there is Track, who my source tells me has a crippling problem with substance abuse which seems to only be getting worse. (What you heard on that audio is apparently what Track is like much of the time.)

As for the fighting, well the fighting is also a component of the family dynamic.

There have been multiple knock down drag outs between Sarah and Todd of course. But the one that was new to me was a rather ugly fight that happened between Todd and Bristol back when she was still dating Levi.

Once again according to this source Todd flat out hated Levi's guts, and wanted Bristol to stay away from him. Apparently the argument devolved into a physical altercation which found the two getting all MMA with each other. At one point Todd had Bristol by the hair and was dragging her around with Bristol responding by grabbing him by the crotch. (And here I thought MY family had anger issues.)

Of course as we know Bristol did NOT stop seeing Levi and even conned the poor guy into impregnating her loser ass, so that she could then accuse him of getting her drunk and raping her.

As for Sarah herself my source claims that her decision to quit as Governor of Alaska was nothing new as she had tried to quit just about everything at one time of another.

When she was Mayor of Wasilla she tried to quit in her first term and had to be talked out of it by Jim Palin who told her that she owed a lot of people who had helped get her elected.

She also resigned her position on the Alaska Oil and Gas Conservation Commission, but of course was able to rework that as an ethical choice in response to all of the corruption that she witnessed.

The most famous one was when she quit as Governor. But perhaps the most egregious resignation was from her responsibilities as a parent, leaving Todd and other members of the family to take up the slack.

As it turned out Sarah uses children as part of a barter system with Todd, according to this source.

As I understand it, when Sarah wants to do something, and needs Todd to sign off on it, she births him another baby. According to my source Todd loves kids and by doing that Sarah has managed to get her way a number of times.

Let's break it down shall we?
  • Palin was already pregnant with Track so that got Todd to marry her.
  • Bristol was born in 1990, so Sarah was able to run for city council in 1992.
  • Willow was born in 1994 allowing Sarah to run for Mayor in 1995.
  • Piper was born in 2001, and Sarah ran for Lt. Governor in 2002.
Yep kind of all works out.

Oddly enough there were no babies before Sarah ran for Governor, but we all sure know what happened right before she was tapped as John McCain's running mate.  Don't we?

I asked my source if there was one thing that she wanted people to know about Sarah Palin, and her answer was that:

"The family is a facade."

As she states it there is no love lost between Todd and Sarah. As for the kids they are deeply troubled and essentially only respond to financial incentives provided to them when Sarah needs them to play their parts.

None of that should be considered all that surprising of course.

We have already seen the daughter whose name was copyrighted so that mom could hire a ghostwriter to play her part for public consumption.

The son whose military "career" was arranged for his mother's political benefit, and whose troubles are covered up with mounds of cash.

The wild child who is kept under lock and key.

The youngest girl who is being groomed as Sarah's little doppelganger.

And of course Trig, the political prop who has almost outlived his usefulness. (Who my source says most certainly did NOT issue forth from Sarah's loins. Though she is not sure where he did come from.)

I cannot say that I found too many of these revelations shocking, however I was surprised that this person was willing to say them publicly.

As for my source well I have already told you that she is going to go public in the near future. What I have NOT told you is that she actually has others from Palin's past that also want to get a few things off their chest, and who may be willing to do so either publicly like their friend, or as anonymous sources who will back up or flesh out the statements from others.

And for my final tidbit I thought I would share with you the fact that my source was made aware of a certain book entitled "Boys Will Be Boys." And though she remains blissfully unaware of Todd's possible side business, she has learned that some of the names mentioned in the book are people who are very familiar to her.

I know right?

So hopefully this post satisfied those of you who waited so patiently these last several months.

Like I said this is only the beginning, and once certain things are straightened out there will be much, much more.

Stay tuned.

Sarah Palin's interview on EXTRA pimping the return of Amazing America is just as ridiculous as you might imagine.

I am simply not in the mood to attempt a transcript today so you will have to go to the link to hear the whole thing, but here is some of what Palin said courtesy of EXTRA TV:

Palin explained, "2016 is a long time away… that's a big darn deal when it comes to family."

This was in response to the invariable question about whether Palin is running in 2016 or not. (Spoiler alert: She's not!)

Thompson asked, "Hillary Clinton's name has been floating out there for a long time as the Democratic nominee. Are we ready for that?" Sarah responded, "I would love to see a woman on both sides of the aisle shooting for that top spot."

"Shooting for that top spot?" Oh look more gun metaphors.

As for the second season of "Amazing America with Sarah Palin," Palin said, "There's so much to show… we're going to focus a lot on those who are reaching out and helping others. We're going to showcase a lot of these people who can inspire others to get out there and live vibrantly. It's about work ethic, but still keeping that connection between faith, family, and love of freedom. That's America!"

Some day, some reporter is going to have the balls to ask Palin just what in the hell she means by "living vibrantly." Because unless it means "living drunkenly" I don't think it relates to her family's way of life.

Palin also shared that her family is doing well. "My family is awesome. Perhaps they have some kind of target on their back because the liberal media types, they do not like constitutional conservatives who are going to call it like they see it and speak truth. So they'll do whatever they can to get you to sit down and shut up, but I'm not wired to sit down and shut up."

That may be but according to those police audio tapes from the brawl the family is programmed to fall down and drink up.

And just to be clear the family does not "have a target on their backs" because they are "constitutional conservatives," which by the way I don't think any of them really are.

They attract attention for doing crazy disruptive things, or because Palin herself draws attention to them in order to hide behind, make them promote one of her pet issues, or, in Bristol's case, use their blog to attack the President.

Essentially this interview was just the same old crap as usual.

I did however notice that the wind was making Palin's wig super obvious. At one point she reaches up to fix her hair, and then stops right above the bangs so as not to knock the wig loose.

If it had taken flight this might have been the most entertaining Palin video yet. Perhaps even better than the Thanksgiving turkey slaughter video.

Well, maybe.

Communications Director for Tennessee Congressman trashes the First Daughters. Immediately regrets that decision.

Courtesy of Raw Story:

A staffer for Republican Rep. Stephen Fincher (TN) took to Facebook this week to attack Sasha and Malia Obama, President Barack Obama’s daughters, for failing to show what she deemed to be sufficient respect for their father’s annual pardoning of a Thanksgiving turkey.

According to Gawker, Elizabeth Lauten, former new media political director for the Republican National Committee, wrote an open letter to the two girls, attacking their facial expressions and clothing choices.

“Dear Sasha and Malia,” wrote Lauten, “I get that you’re both in those awful teen years, but you’re part of the First Family, try showing a little class. At least respect the part that you play. Then again your mother and father don’t respect their positions very much, or the nation for that matter, so I’m guessing you’re coming up a little short in the ‘good role model’ department.”

She continued, “Nevertheless, stretch yourself, rise to the occasion. Act like being in the White House matters to you. Dress like you deserve respect, not a spot at a bar. And certainly don’t make faces during televised, public events.”

For the pardoning ceremony, elder daughter Malia wore a long-sleeved sweater, a plaid schoolgirl skirt and opaque tights. Sasha Obama wore a mini-dress that hit her at mid-thigh with a long-sleeved cardigan sweater.

Both girls rolled their eyes when their father made a joke, as teen girls typically do when their father says something he thinks is funny.

Seriously?  Lecturing the Obama girls for acting their age?

That seems like a REALLY bad idea.

And guess what, it was:

Nine hours after her initial post, Lauten had a change of heart or, more likely, her boss called and flipped on her, or she was tired of getting cursed out on social media. In any case, she removed the initial post and apologized, also via Facebook:

"I wanted to take a moment and apologize for a post I made on Facebook earlier today, judging Sasha and Malia Obama at the annual White House turkey pardoning ceremony.

… I reacted to an article and quickly judged the two young ladies in a way that I would never have wanted to be judged myself as a teenager. After many hours of prayer, talking to my parents and re-reading my words online, I can see more clearly how hurtful my words were. Please know that these judgmental feelings truly have no pace in my heart. Furthermore, I’d like to apologize to all of those who I have hurt and offended with my words, and pledge to learn and grow (and I assure you I have) from this experience."

Gee I had no idea that daughters of Presidents were held to such high standards.

I wonder what Ms. Lauten would have had to say about this?

Or about the antics of a daughter from a certain famous half term Governor from Alaska?

Kind of makes folded arms and an eye roll seem sort of innocuous, don't you think?

Remembering the Thanksgiving commercial that was made in 2008 to thank Sarah Palin for just being Sarah Palin.

Oh man, does that bring back memories!

I was reminded of this ad by Bloomberg. who calls it, "The greatest Thanksgiving ad of all time."

Pretty sure their tongue was firmly jammed into their cheek for that one.

But seriously I think WE should all take a moment to thank Sarah Palin as well. Here I'll start.

Thank you Sarah Palin for providing a barometer whihc helps us to measure the ignorance and incompetence of our politicians.

Thank you Sarah Palin for promoting the Tea Party in its infancy so that it could damn near destroy the Republican party from within.

Thank you Sarah Palin for the many helpings of incoherent word salad, with batshit crazy croutons, that allows the rest of us to realize just how intelligent we are by comparison.

And most of all, thank you Sarah Palin for raising a gaggle of moronic, uncivilized morons, who were responsible for perhaps the most fun we had this year.....the Throwdown at the Hoedown.

Gee, and I did not get you anything this year.

Sarah Palin makes list of GQ's Least Influential People of 2014, which in and of itself is not news. However check out how they describe her.

So GQ has its list of the least influential people of 2014, and to be fair a lot of people made the list, including the President, Chris Christie, John McCain and Johnny Depp.

However it was the description of Palin that I thought worth sharing:

She barely even get out of the limo! Some dude is reportedly calling her daughter a slut and a cunt, and the rest of her family is brawling at a kegger, and there's Sarah in the fucking limo (of course she's in a limo), letting her Wasilbilly family rumble while she's probably Googling herself without a care in the world. She only finally gets out of the limo to name-drop herself to the cops! Does she even know she has a family? Or does she think those people are stock models provided for her by GOP donors?

Yeah clearly the drunken brawl is now part of Palin's permanent legacy. And though she may have helped her family wriggle out of any legal consequences, the court of public opinion has gleefully convicted them all the same.
